Bi Publisher in OAF

Hi,
I am trying to load develop BI publisher report in OAF. I have tried below links to do but receving 'Error(39,41): identifier DocumentHelper not found'

Transfer the xdo directory and its contents from $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps on the server to myclasses.
After the transfer is complete, you will have a directory named <JDEV_USER_
HOME>/myclasses/oracle/apps/xdo on your desktop. The transfer of files with
extension “.class” must be done in binary mode. XDO is the short name of the XML
Publisher application. $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/xdo contains the BI Publisher API
TemplateHelper.processTemplate. This API is used for generating the output for the
BI Publisher report.

Hi All,
I am facing issue while exporting data into Excel by integrating XML publisher in OAF. Everything is working fine except that the report is not uploaded in the Excel sheet. Excel sheet is opening empty.

Launching XML publisher from OAF

Hi ,
I am trying to run an XML publisher report from an OAF page. I get the following error whenever I run the report, "An error encountered either due to invalid Template details or due to null Data Input Stream".
The code fails at,
DataTemplate datatemplate = new DataTemplate(((OADBTransactionImpl)getOADBTransaction()).getAppsContext(), "PER", "GVS_EMP_VERIF");
I have tried various solutions mentioned in the oracle forums threads, but non solved the issue. Could someone please suggest what could be the issue?

Number format issue in XML Publisher from OAF (',.' is replaced by 'u n')

Hi All,
I am facing a problem in XML Publisher report. In report I need to display some number fields with 'USD' format. In RTF, data type 'Number' and format '###,##0.00' is selected. If I run concurrent program from oracle core forms using System Administrator > Concurrent > Request, I am able to get correct number format.
Ex : 123456.00 After Number format : 123,456.00
Also its working fine from XML Publisher Administrator responsibility (using Preview).
But problem is when I submit the concurrent request through OAF, I am not getting correct data. ',' is replace by 'u' and '.' is replace by 'n'.
Ex: 123456.00 In Report 123u456n00
Checked profile value : ICX: Numeric Character and its set to 1,000.00 at site level.
Do I need to set character set anywhere in OAF before calling concurrent program?
I tried to use "alter session set nls_numeric_character = ',.';" by calling stored procedure from OAF. But still its not working.
Please give me solution for this.

XML Publisher Integration: OAF Page in invalid after PDF creation

after days of googling and trying out various code changes in vain I hope to find help in this forum.
The requirement is to extend the shipment page PosAsnMainPage in iSupplier Portal, adding the creation and download of PDF shipping documents for the orders selected in the table. These documents can be created for multiple shipments at once, always resulting in exactly one PDF file.
To achieve this, I have added a button to the page that triggers the event "XxpoPrintShippingDocuments". In the controller class that extends the standard iSupplier Portal Controller, I have extended processFormRequest as follows:

Most of this works just fine - I select some orders on the standard iSP page, press the button and download the PDF file. But after that, the page is not "valid" any longer: the selections made are still visible but when a button is pressed (for instance the Create Shipment Notice or my own button), I get an error stating that items must be selected first.
If I deactivate the lines in outputFile that set the response or flush the output stream, I can further use the previously made selections and everything works fine - except I don't get the PDF I need, obviously.
Does anyone have an idea of what is missing here to reload the page or anything? Is there any workaround (i.e. opening the file downlad in a separate browser tab)?
I'd be grateful for any advice on this. If you wish any further information, please let me know.

The requirement is to extend the shipment page PosAsnMainPage in iSupplier Portal, adding the creation and download of PDF shipping documents for the orders selected in the table. These documents can be created for multiple shipments at once, always resulting in exactly one PDF file.

OAF/XML Pub Integration Issue

Hi All,
I am using XML publisher through OAF, All is working fine except for data containing Japanese or Chinese characters are not getting displayed on final PDF report.
I tried using concurrent manager approach and it is working perfectly fine for Japanese characters.

Cannot open the pdf when using the xml publisher to generate rtf report

I followed the below link to generate a pdf using xml publisher in OAF.

When i try to save the pdf and open it, i get the below error:
Adobe Reader could not open the pdf because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged(for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).

How to use OAF transform sotred xml documents using XSLT...

Does anyone have any experience using XSLT in OAF? Specifically, I have xml documents stored in a clob to which I wish to apply an XSLT transformation and then store the transformed documents back into the clob. Is there a way to apply an XSLT transformation using say BI-Publisher via OAF?

"XML DIFF" are the keywords you can use to search for products that do this. Last time I looked there was a lot of XML Diff implementations, but none of them produced human-readable output that I really liked. I expect that's because XML diff is an easy thing for people to ask for but not an easy thing to do, given the considerable number of ways there are to change a document.

Need help in selecting the appropriate region or text

I am creating an application form using OAF. The format should be exactly like the format we have now on paper. I tried integrating xml publisher and oaf but i am totally failed because of the issues i was getting. Now i want to directly do that on selfservice page using regions and items.
Please suggest me appropriate regions and the text items to use so that i should also be able to add runtime data to that application along.

Xml pdf and document viewer

I'm trying to open the pdf in the selfserivice page. when i'm using the below code to specify the PARAMETERS and XMLNode, it works for me without any issue but when i try to change the p_DataSource and p_TemplateCode names as i need to open different templates based on the condition, it doesn't work for me. it always open s the template with the previous names. Even though i change the names using pageContext.putParameter("p_DataSourceCode", "NewEmpDataDefinition"), and pageContext.putParameter("p_TemplateCode", "NewEmp_Template"), i don't see those new template information but it the page still shows the previous template information.
Please advice me on this.

XML Publisher Report Output from OAF Page

I created a button in a OAF page, and called the XML publisher Report program on click of this button. The concurrent request was ran when check from View Requests. When I click on viewout, the pdf document was open with the option, open, save, cancel. But this is not coming up in the OAF page. when debugged the code, the url is null.

Look at the links AJ gave.
Basically what you will do is create a Data Definition and assign a Data Template to it. Create a (document) Template and assign it to your data definition. You will use the XML Publisher Java API classes to pass parameters to your data template and extract the XML data. Then you will use this in conjunction with your document template and the OAF integration region to present the final output to the user.
All of these things are in the XML Publisher documentation and Javadocs.

Have messy code when open a xml publisher report in OAF

I try to change the pdf to html format,and the report display ok in local machine.
It's also ok when i run in server.

Integrating XML Publisher into an OAF page

Hello,
I'm pretty to new to both OAF and XML Publisher...hoping someone can help me out. I created an OAF page that uses oracle.apps.xdo.oa.common.DocumentHelper to display a PDF. I created my Data Definition and Template, and tested that using concurrent manger.
When I display my OAF page and click a button to view the PDF, the page does not show the PDF. However, when I click on the export button it opens a new window and I can view the PDF no problem.
So I know the XML Publisher document is working, but why doesn't it display in the page?
We are on 11.10.2 applications and 5.6.3 XML Publisher.

Hi Steve,
I tried the approach you mentioned using IFRAME and found that,i am able to get the region in the end of the page, but its displaying the error message "Page not Found".
Can you please let me know, what could be the reason.

Printing BI Publisher report from OAF Page WITHOUT Preview or Save Option

I have a requirement to print a BI Publisher Report on the invoke of a Button from a OAF Page. I have followed the method suggested in the below link to integrate OAF and BI Publisher.-

In this scenario, I already developed Data Definition (XML) and Template (RTF) for the report and a self service page with 'Generate PDF' button. When the button is clicked the template is getting filled with the data from the database and displaying the PDF output. A dialog box with 'Open/Save/Cancel' appears before the PDF document is shown.
But my requirement is to avoid this dialog box and Save option so when the button is clicked the document has to be directly sent to the printer.
Is there anyway to achieve this? Please help as this is very urgent..

With the BI publisher (XML publisher) Java APIs, you can call a data template with parameters and get the XML from that.
For an example that should be very close to what you need to do, see the comments section of this page:

Find the comment titled: "Alternative: BlobDomain from data template"
The great thing about using a Data Template is that, while you are NOT concurrent program dependent, you can still set up a concurrent program to run it for other purposes if you wish. Data Templates offer a lot more flexibility.

Problem in XML Publisher Report submission from OAF Pages

Hi,
I am trying to submit Concurrent Program from OAF Page which is an XML Publisher Report.
The request is Submitting and Completing successfully but when we open to view the out put we are able to view the HTML tags.
We checked the same Concurrent program by submitting from the SRS window After completing if we click on view output the rtf file is getting opened correctly.
I tested with normal rdf report it is working fine with standard Concurrent program used in OAF
So my doubt is
Does the Standard Concurrent program used in OAF supports the rtf reports.
Please suggest if any modifications to be done in the Concurrent program
