Bi publisher report issues with selecting multiple parameters.

Hi there I have a Bi publisher report when I query it for a single parameter it works fine and gives me the result.
But when I select multiple parameters Lets say I have selected 3 parameters and try to view the results it does nt give me a proper report. It leaves me some blanks and gives me negative values.
The report is working finr for one parameter In order to select two parameters I added the following code in the sql query
and ( coalesce(null, :JOB_ID) is null
or c.JOB_ID in (:JOB_ID)) .
Can some one please let me know if this is correct or should I have to add anything else in the query.
Even if I hard code it by saying JOB ID IN ('x','y','Z') and try to run the report it is not giving me exact values.
BUt when I run the same query in database am getting correct values..
Can anyone help me with this issue please??

I have a little problem and can't find a solution.
I need to create reports based on a SQL query or I.R. Nothing hard there.
Then I need to add the WHERE clause dynamically with javascript from an Apex item.
Again not very hard. I defined an Apex item, set my query like this "SELECT * FROM MYTAB WHERE COL1 = :P1_SEARCH" and then I call the page setting the P1_SEARCH value. For instance COL1 is rowid. It works fine.
But here is my problem. Let's consider that P1_SEARCH will contain several rowids and that I don't know the number of those values,
(no I won't create a lot of items and build a query with so many OR!), I would like sotheming like "SELECT * FROM MYTAB WHERE ROWID IN (:P1_SEARCH) with something like : ROWID1,ROWID2 in P1_SEARCH.
I also tried : 'ROWID1,ROWID2' and 'ROWID1','ROWID2'
but I can't get anything else than filter error. It works with IN with one value but as soon as there are two values or more, it seems than Apex can't read the string.
How could I do that, please?

Issue with Select options in select statement - ABAP Question

I am facing an issue with select options. Select statement is returning sy-subrc as 4.
I wrote the program as below:
SELECT-OPTIONS:
s_kunnr FOR bsad-kunnr,
s_lifnr FOR bsak-lifnr,
s_gjahr FOR bsad-gjahr,
s_bukrs FOR bsad-bukrs,
s_saknr FOR bsad-saknr,
s_budat FOR bsak-budat.
In start of selection I have written the select statement as
SELECT * FROM bsak INTO TABLE lt_bsak
WHERE bukrs IN s_bukrs AND lifnr = s_lifnr AND gjahr IN s_gjahr AND budat IN s_budat AND saknr IN s_saknr.
In selection screen I have not entered any values and executed the program. I am not getting any result. When I debug that, sy-subrc is 4 at above select statement. But table has records.
If am removing the "lifnr = s_lifnr " condition in select then select is returning values.
I am not getting where I made the mistake. Please suggest.

The problem here with where condition select option lifnr = s_lifnr.
Use below select query.
SELECT * FROM bsak INTO TABLE lt_bsak
WHERE bukrs IN s_bukrs
    AND lifnr     IN s_lifnr
    AND gjahr   IN s_gjahr
    AND budat IN s_budat
    AND saknr IN s_saknr.
s_lifnr is a select option and you are passing it as parameter lifnr = s_lifnr.
if you want to pass this s_lifnr as single vale then pass in below mentioned way.
lifnr = s_lifnr-low

Submit program with selection screen parameters - getting blank values

Hi, I'm submitting a program with selection screen parameters. when I pass '000' (I_TPLSCN )value for Planning Scenario and when this goes to selection screen then I don't see value for Planning scenario as '000'(I_TPLSCN ) but the value is blank in selection screen. I'm using the below code for this.
SUBMIT RMCPAMRP WITH MATNR_GL EQ I_MATNR   SIGN 'I'
                  WITH WERKS_GL EQ I_WERKS   SIGN 'I'
                  WITH PLSCN    EQ I_TPLSCN SIGN 'I'
    via selection-screen        AND RETURN.
Could anyone please help me how to display value '000' rather than blanks.

Issues with selection tools using PS CS6

OK, I'm having issues with selections in Photoshop CC… This video shows my issue (which I never had with CS3). Basically, I go to select an area within an image, and then the selection area disappears, and when I go to move the selection area I am unable to get the selection to "drop". This happens regardless of whether I'm using my wacom tablet or my trackpad. My mac is a 2009 macbook pro running 10.8.5. Updated my OS and wacom tablet with the latest drivers. I've gone into preferences and disabled the GPU, but to not avail. Haven't run into this issue at work using CS6 (but i'm on a windows box there) Any ideas? Issue with selection paramter

I am developing a simple report.
For selection screen, i have defined as follows.
selection-screen: begin of block block1 with frame title text-001.
select-options: s_date for i_table-zdate obligatory.
parameters: p_projid like ztab1-projid obligatory.
selection-screen: end of block block1.
The SELECT statement as follows..
select empid name zdate projid actid hrs remarks into
corresponding fields of table i_table
from ztab1
where zdate in s_date
and projid eq p_projid.
Now while execution, i am facing few problems...
If i enter "444" in the selection screen for P_PROJID, the report will be blank, even thought the table is having values as "0000444".
In the database table, the corresponding field has been defined as follows...
projid cats_cproject_guid char 32
How to come out of this issue?

NO, if i enter '406' in the project ID field, the pgm will retrive the value with '406' only from table. If the entry is having value as '00000406', it will not be selected.
How to overcome this issue...????

XML Publisher Report ends with Warning -- Invalid Character Error in XML

I have migrated the standard report 'Invoice Print Selected Invoices' from Reports 6i to XML Publisher. It has to print a Euro(€) in the report. It does not even generate the XML File fully. It gives the below error in the XML File. When i remove the special character, it works fine.
Please let me know the settings to ensure that XML file also accepts the special characters. How do i get the Euro symbol printed in XML File with out giving Invalid Character Error?

I have gone thru the Document 222663.1 and it says that the Developer 6.0.8.23 is required to handle this problem. We are using almost the updated Developer version i.e., Developer 6.0.8.25. So, this should be handled automatically, but it still errors out. Please suggest.

We are running BI Publisher 5.6.3 with Oracle Applications 11.5.10.2 (ATG.H RUP 5), and are having frequent failures with client-error-request-value-too-long messages on large PDF reports that cause the entire report to not print.
The exact error message is as follows:
lp: unable to print file: client-error-request-value-too-long
Pasta: Error: Print failed. Command=lp -c -dPDX_B6_1LJ5200NEAST /logs/temp/pasta3262_0.tmp
Pasta: Error: Check printCommand/ntPrintCommand in pasta.cfg
Pasta: Error: Preprocess or Print command failed!!!
APP-FND-00500: AFPPRN received a return code of failure from routine FDUPRN. Program exited with status 1
Cause: AFPPRN received a return code of failure from the OSD routine FDUPRN. Program exited with status 1.
Action: Review your concurrent request log file for more detailed information.

The linux sysadmins set the cups max_request_size at 10 MB, which was causing this error. Once the restriction was lifted, the reports ran without error.

10g Reports issue with XML Data Source

Hi,
Has anybody ever encountered an issue with Oracle 10g report using an XML as the data source? What happens is, some of the values in the XML are printed to the wrong column.
One of the elements in our XML file is a complex type with 10 elements under it. The first 5 are picked up properly, but the last 6 are not. Elements #6 to #9 has a minimum occurence of 0. What happens is when element #6 is present, but #7 is, the value for element #7 is passed on to element #6.
The XSD and XSL files are both valid since the reports were working when we were still using 9i. There is no hidden logic in the report which might cause this issue to come up, i.e., the report just picks up the values from the XML and prints it to the appropriate columns.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Issue with selection screen element on At slection scree

Hi All,
I am facing an issue with a checkbox which is present within the subscreen of a standard selection screen.
The issue is that the value of the combobox get toggled by itselfon the event mentioned below. I am unable to find out how this combo box value gets changed by itself on the screen events.I tried clear statemetns etc nothing is helping. I debugged with a watch point on this screen element and found this to happen.It just changes the value of the element to a previously held state.I m trying to clear the combobox but this event puts back the tick mark.How can I stop this.

This event corresponds to the PAI module of the COL_FROM field. So, it gets executed each time you press any valid function code on the screen (unless there was an error in a previous field). Nothing abnormal here.
That's difficult to help you on that topic, you'd better tell us exactly what report it is, where you have added your code (and what code) to change the checkbox, ...

Automatically refresh the report tabs after selecting the parameters in bip

Hello Everything!!
Is there a way to automatically refresh all the report tabs once we select the parameters? The report are not refreshed automatically in each tab and users have to either hit apply button or refresh button for each report tab . Is this a lacking feature in BI publisher. I am using 11.1.1.6.6.

Issue with selecting a contact to send text message in BB Hub

Dear all,
Currently, I meet some issues in selecting a contact to send text message.
In BB Hub, tap Text message, tap Compose,
In "To:" field, tab "+" for selecting contact, I see that, there are contacts mixing between mobile contacts, facebook contacs (current, on my Q10, facebook accounts are syned at the first time I login in facebook, but now I not syn any more) so It brings to me a confusion of selecting, sometime I select a wrong contact,...
So, please help me, when I tap "+", I can filter type of Contact I want to use, for example, I can filter facebook contact, mobile contact,...
And I don't understand, why don't classify contact based on type of account, mean that:
Hub is where manage all accounts (face, mail, text message,...), then contacts also classify based on those accounts, for example, when I tap Facebook then only accounts belong to Facebook will be available, and contacts of other accounts will be unavailable,
And, of course, when I tab Text message, then only contacts belong to Text message (mobile) will be availabe, this will avoid the issue that I mentioned above...
Could I be helped by these issues or I must wait for a upgraded OS release? And I don't know all critical issues that mentioned in this forum will be fixed in the next release....
