I published my query into the portal through the QAD. When I run the iview, I get the foll error message:
Portal Runtime Error
An exception occurred while processing your request
Exception id: 05:27_17/10/07_0012_6006050
See the details for the exception ID in the log file
What could be error? It was working before we upgraded to support stack 13 on NW04s.

Landscape:We have both BW 3.5 and EP 6.0, SP 16 on the same instance in
same physical machine. EP 6.0 works on J2EE engine as an add-in installtion.
Steps we followed for the integration of EP with BW:
1)Create RFC Destination in J2EE Engine:
    Parameters:
    Program ID: xyz
    Gateway host: abc.ad.company.com
    Gateway service: sapgw00
    Application server host:abc.ad.company.com
    System number: 00
    Client: BID
    Language: EN
    User: sapjsf
    Password: ********
2)Maintain RFC Destination for SAP EP 6.0
    Parameters:
    RFC destination: SAP_EP
Connection type: T for TCP/IP connection
    Description: SAP EP RFC Destination
    Technical Settings:
    - Type of activation: Registered server program
    - Program ID: xyz
    - Gateway host: abc.ad.company.com
    - Gateway service: sapgw00
    Logon/Security:
    - Send SAP Logon Ticket: Activated
    Special Options:
    Unicode
3)Maintain Portal Server Settings for SAP EP 6.0 in table RSPOR_T_PORTAL
    in BW 3.5
    RFC destination: SAP_EP
    System name: BIDEV
    Default: Checked
    Portal URL prefix: http://abc.ad.company.com:50000
RM prefix for BW metadata: <empty>
    KM service URL: <empty>
P.S.:We have maintained one more dummy entry as per the SAP Note 815044
    in the table RSPOR_T_PORTAL.
4)Maintain Single Sign-On in SAP BW
In transaction RZ10, We have maintained following settings:
    login/create_sso2_ticket=2
    login/accept_sso2_ticket=1
5)Export BW Certificate to SAP BW and
6)Import BW Certificate to SAP EP 6.0
We have followed the above mentioned two steps.
7)Create BW System in SAP EP 6.0
    Parameters:
    Log on methods: SAPLOGONTICKET
We have created the BW system and the Connection test in WAS Connection
    is working fine.
8)Configure User Management in SAP EP 6.0
This step is not maintained as our scenario does not demand it.
9)Export Portal Certificate to SAP EP 6.0 and
10)Import Portal Certificate to SAP BW
This step is also maintained as per Performance Assistant guidelines in
    SPRO.
The user that we are trying to log into BeX Web Query Analyzer is
Amarnath_rr who has 'SAP ALL' rights and the same user in EP is assigned'Super Admin' as well as 'Content Admin' role.
Can anyone throw any light on wat the error might be??

    Ricky,
    a couple of clarifications :
    1. Does the report execute independently on the web - when you execute in Query view over IE or through a web template
    2. Check if SSO is properly configured - you can check if SSO is enabled by using TCode STRUST in BW. - the status of PSE should be Green.

  • Identifying Technical name of a query through a portal link

    Hi,
If from a portal link I see a BW report, how can I know its technical name so that I can access it in BEx to see the query definition. The title on the portal appears not to be helping.
    Thanks

In the future, please do not post the same question more than once:
Identifying Technical name of a query through a portal link
    Thanks!

  • Query giving wrong values in portal but correct through RSRT

    Hi,
Users are running a query through portal which is giving wrong figures. But when we are running the query through RSRT it is showing correct values. The quesry is built on top of an InfoCube which is regularly updated and data in it is matching with R/3.
This is an Inventory Valuation Query.
Please suggest what could be the possible issue.
    BR,
    Sayan

    Hi,
Make sure cache is deleted for the particular query. While the report is executed through portal it refers the cache and if the data in the backend is not changed then the cache for a particular query selection is active and referred each time the query is run.
on other hand while running RSRT we have an option of not using cache and thus it refers the infoprovider and fetches the correct result. In this case cache could be invalid.
    Try deleting the cache.

  • 2 workbooks for a single query r not coming in portal.

hi experts... first of all i donno whether this question belong to bex side or portal side...
    my problem is:
i have single query with 10 workbooks.
i need to embed these workbooks in our
    portal(bw report iview).
my requirement is to supply URLs for all of these workbooks to portal team, so as to enable them to embed workbooks...
while im trying to generate URLs for all workbooks,
it is just generating only one same URL for all workbooks.
i found that we can generate URL only to query default view, from our BEx side..
anybody can help me that how to generate different URLs for different workbooks based on a single query.
this is not a portal issue...
i shud supply proper URLs for each workbook.
hope i can get a solution from experts...

  • PortalSessionID Property in BSP iView in Portal

    Dear All,
I have created a BSP iView in Portal. This iView displays the start page of SAP Learning Solution
BSP Application named "hcm_learning" which allows the user to run the course he/she booked for in a content player which opens up in a new window.
The issue I faced is, Once i access the BSP iView through portal and click the "start now " button in that iView , it opens up the content player in the new window and runs the course. But when i logged off from portal, it content player is still running and its values are updated in the R/3 table.
    How to restrict this?
What is the use of  PortalSessionID property in BSP iView in portal?
Kindly help me in sorting out this?
    Regards,
    Eben Joyson

    Hi,
Please make sure the IP matching option is not checked.
You should also check the [user mapping|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70ehp1/helpdata/en/f8/3b514ca29011d5bdeb006094191908/frameset.htm] settings in the portal to see if the portal user is mapped to the same user on the backend.

    Hi Aaron,
Check whether you have set all the following properties or not.
If not do this then you will be able to preview the iview in portal.
Connector - contains basic connectivty details
Internet transaction Server (ITS) - if you wish to use SAPGUI for HTML and/or IACs,
Web Application Server - if you wish to access BSPs and/or Web Dynpro for ABAP and
    User Management.
You also need at least one System Alias has to be defined from the Display drop down menu.
Make sure you have set end user access in the Permissions drop down menu to all users who need to access the system.
Go through the below link which guides you in step-by-step creation.
    https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/EP/HowtoConnecttoSAPR3SystemthroughEnterprisePortal7.0Usingan+iView.
    Hope it helps you.

  • * How to Depoly  NDWS  Iview in Portal*

    Hi
i got a very basic question
I am able to create  a Iview in WebDynPro (NWDS)
    and deploy it very comfortably.
    Similarly,
I am able to create a Iview in PORTAL and check for the PreView.
Now Query Over this point is,
if i create a View in Dynpro , how to incorporate in Portal Page
    or
how to incorporate it in Portal Workset.
    and
How to assing a Role to the view that has been created in NWDS
    Thanking in Advance.

    Hi Kumar,
Solution for your query is at the end but first let me focus on some terminologies -
1> Whenever you deply any application from NWDS it doesn't create any IView. IT just gived u a application URL nothing more than that.
    Soltuion:
Just Deploy your application from NWDS
Go to portal>Content Administration> Create a Web dynpro IView--> whenever it will ask you for application name just specify the application name spo that this IView will get link to that application.
    Finish it.
Create a page from Content Administrato. Assign this Iview to this Page.
No create a Workset from Content Administration--> assign this page to this Workset.
Create a role from Content Administration and assign this workset to this Role.
Now from UserAdminisstration assign this role to specific userid for whcihc you have to perform opertaions
Definintely this will work for you..
    Regards,
    Roshan

  • How to navigate from a view to an IView in portal

    Hi all,
Onclick of an application in my portal my appliaction gets opened. But the problem here is onclick of cancel in my applcation i want to navigate to my IView in portal.
    For navigation between view2 to view1  i used wdThis.wdFirePlugtoView1();
    by creating a navigation link.
How to navigate from view1 to Portal IView
    Regards
    Padma N

    Hi padma,
Go to Iview Property in portal Content managment and take the PCD location.
It may look something like this
    ROLES:portal_content/ZABC/ZPROJECTS/com.abc.ZPortfolio/com.abc.ZPortfolio/com.abc.ZRoles/com.abc.ZPortfolioReconle/com.chep.ZReconciliation/com.chep.ZReconEnquiry_IView
Create a string variable with the PCD location
    String pcdLocation = <pcd location>
And call using the iview using the following code
    WDPortalNavigation.navigateAbsolute(pcdLocation, WDPortalNavigationMode.SHOW_INPLACE, WDPortalNavigationHistoryMode.NO_DUPLICATIONS,"&reference="+reference);
Here &reference is the application parameter, if the application with which the iView is created has parameter and is not mandatory.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to see the iview in portal favorite

    Hi,
It is possible to see the iview in portal favorite without giving content admin role. How to add the iview created in portal to display in portal favorite.
    Thanks,
    Kundan

    Hi,
Your question is not very clear for me....According to my understanding i am replying u.
Portal favourites is itself an iview.
If u want to show some other iview in place of Portal favourites then you need to do some changes in your framework page.
Go to content admin and go to your framework page ---> select Desktop Innner Page
then u can see Portal favourites iview there.
If u want to show some ivew in  place of portal favourites, then delete Portal favourites and add the iview which u want to display.

    Hi Experts,

    Thanks in Advance

    Hi Krishna,
    1. Goto Web Application Designer.
    2. Drag and drop the table web-item from left to right.
    3. Assign the query to the web-item.
    4. Launch in the browser.
    5. If you want to launch it using EP then give the URL of the web query to the portal people they would take it as query string and launch it using IE.
