BI statistics by user and / or reports

Hello,
I search in BI or in the portal somethings (transaction, report,...) to have the statistics of the connection : statistics for the reports, statistic s for the connection user, statistics for the user connection by reports (how many time, ...) I don't find something.

Hi:
The BI statistics functionality is completely re-designed for 7.0. You have to activate the technical content even to use the "BI system load" feature of transaction ST03. Note that the RSDDSTAT table is obsolete in 7.0.

I've been able to retrieve by sql, users and their reports or business areas and thier users, but I'm unable to retrieve business areas, users and reports in the same sql.
I've been looking in eul tables without success. I guess someone has already done that?

The problem you have is that you are trying to mix objects that don't go together.
As you have already determined, you can have a script to query users who have access to business areas, and you can also have a script to query users who have access to or own reports. However there is no link between business areas and reports.
Discoverer reports are validated against folders, not business areas. If a report uses 2 folders and there are 10 business areas that contain those folders which business area do you think the report was written against? The answer is none of them. You just happened to have a business area open at the time the report was written but truthfully you could have used any of them. Therefore, if a user reopens a workbook that uses folders found in multiple business areas, Discoverer will default to the first business area by name that contains all of the folders used and that the user has been granted access to.

I have to develop reports which will be used by a group of 100 to 150 users and total reports are 7 and each report will be around 100-150 pages each. So i am in the process of evaluvation BOE and CR server.Can any body help me out in this.

The Concurrent Access License is per-user logon to Crystal Report Server or BusinessObjects Enterprise.
Each User logon will increment the CAL. If a User logs on twice, then CAL is increased by two. A CAL will not be released until a User logs off. If the maximum number of CALs have been attained, further logon attempts will be denied.
With a Named User License, you can have a number of active Users up to the number of NUL that you've purchased. The named user can connect multiple times to the system. If you would like to add additional Users beyond the NUL that you have, you either have to purchase further NUL, or disable a User already there.
In either case, the CAL or NUL won't work like the CPL that you have with the JRC - license management is handled by the Enterprise system.
With Licensing for the Server or Enterprise, each user accessing reports must be named within the system.

There are two ways to do :-
1.Create a prompt function on an object and use that in the webi report along with other dimension
2.Create a Prompt Filter in the query panel of webi.

Is there User Group and Role Reporting in SAP Enterprise Portal?

I want to know if there is a way to pull users statistics our of SAP Enterprise Portal like you can out of the R3 backend systems.
I would like functionality similar to the SUIM transaction. I know through user administration you can access any user, even a list of all users, and you can do similar lists with roles and groups. You can then access any of these things individually and look at their assignments. However, I want to do this on a large scale. I want to know for example every group that has a user assigned to it. Evergroup that has roles assigned to it. Or groups that have no user or role assignments. We have approximately 1904 groups in our Production Portal system and I am trying to clean up the groups that have no user assignment, but I don't want to look through them one by one.

There is no standard report available for this purpose. However all this information is stored in table UME_STRINGS.
You can write your own SQL queries to generate such reports. However please note that this table is not normalized, and it's a master UME table. You should use it strictly for READ ONLY purpose.

Is there any way to generate a report (like a migration report or job status report) which can be generated through workspace/shared services 11.1.1.3 so that my admin can look at all the users and groups created. Something that I can view and probably print out? Any suggestions?

Yes, I knew this one. This basically shows me the users and groups assigned specific provision access. Is there any way to view a report that shows which users and groups have access to dimensions of an individual planning application?

Linking to an OBIEE report without showing the user and password

we are trying to access to an obiee report from an external portal (coded with php).
The idea is that the user clicks on a link an gets the report in pdf format. For that purpose we are using this url:

But this url is expossing OBIEE's user and password.
In order to avoid this security issue we tried to do an wget of the url but it doesn't return the report. Instead we get an html, which seams to download the report chunk by chunk (using javaScript).
The question is, is there any way that we could let our portal ussers access to an obbie report without expossing the user and password?
I have been looking into oracle forums and have found this: OBIEE Go URL with password protected
but we couldn't use this aproach due to security issues.

I know in the 9 versions of discoverer is there is a Discoverer v5 Business Area that is included out of the box. You have to have the stats turned on inside of the pref.txt. But that BA has all of the information to create queries about who, what, parameters, etc. You'll have to check and see if its part of 4i.

Can Power Users or Mgt Create and Design Reports Through Query Designer ?

Dear BI consultants,
Iam new to BI.
My management has requested me to Train Power users from All Modules(FICO,HR,QM,PP,SD,MM) to Create Queries and Design Through Query Designer.
My question is are we suppose to Give query Designer Access to Power users or Mgt so that they can create Queries and reports by themselves.Please Suggest me wht is the Best Practices.
is it feasable to train power users and Mgt as to how 2 create queries. will there be any side effect on the System or our end.
Plz suggest.
wht are the advantages and disadvantages of this.
If I train the Power users then is there any risk of my Job.
since they will be creating all reports by themselves.
wht else can a BI consultant do since iam in a support project.
how do i convince my Mgt?

This is common procedure maintained in most of the company's for end users.
There is no issue if you train the power users.you will be the first point of contact if they have any doubts.and more over you are supporting for your client right? this can't be handed over to power user or end user. data is imp for the client so there will not be any problem for you, if any issue comes while loading you need to take care of the errors and fix the.
power users or end user will be familiar with Business requirement not with the Query building logic's not with the BW procedure so no worries for you.
as vineeth said its better to keep control regarding the global and key things at your end so that you will not loose contol on the reports.

Yes, It should be possible if your OAM is storing user's session.

Try to make some SQL queries using OAM DB and execute those queries using BI publisher to generate the reports.
Just check whether OOTB OAM reports includes any such kind of reports.

Package and User Objects of reports/macros/...

Hello,
in my program I need to find out the package of a report. So for example I have a report with an include or macro statement. I know which report is included, but not its package.
The table TRDIR seems to have no information about the containing package and TADIR contains user objects not reports.
For example a global class ZCL_CAR is realized through reports like ZCL_CAR===(...)===CP and so on. Is there a way to obtain the package of arbitrary reports and the object in TADIR that contains that report? And do you know in which cases a user object can contain other reports?
