Big Mail problem, I have 1,500 old mails in sent folder on old Ipad OIS 6. I want to get them over to I pad Air or forward to another address in bulk... not one at a time

I bought an I pad Air and they told me I could get my sent mail moved....... Guess what they were wrong. Im on Comcast POP email so nothing registered on the server, so they are only on the I Pad 2......Can anyone help me? jj in colorado

Your accounts can be moved, but not the emails messages themselves. This is the danger of using an improperly configured POP account. If it isn't set up to leave messages on the server, the device used is the only repository of those messages.
There may be some third-party computer-based app that can dig those messages out of your iPad, but I don't know of any. Someone here may, but Google might be your best resource to find something.

Firefox doesn't store the bookmarks as separate files in a folder, but uses a sqlite database file with the name places.sqlite.
You will have to export those favorites in IE to an HTML file and import that file in Firefox.

I have an old g4 desktop which runs on osx 10.3. I want to get it connected to my wireless router but I don't know what I need to buy to do this. I have tried a usb card which did not work. Do I need a pci card or an airport extreme card?

To build on what Tesserax says, not all USB sticks will work on Panther, but here is one that does:

I have one of these and it works with both a PowerMac G4 running Leopard and a 1998 PowerBook G3 running Panther.
And here's a little more free advice.
Some of the older G4 desktops like my PowerMac 3,6 only take the original AirPort card, which is different from the newer machines that take the newer AirPort Extreme card. Both are available if you hunt for them, but modern WPA-2 encryption is not supported on the original AirPort card, so it will not be able to join your network if it has this encryption. The newer AirPort Extreme airport card does support WPA-2 encryption, as does the NewerTech USB AirPort stick. If your G4 takes the older card, you cannot plug in the newer AirPort Extreme card. I have not looked lately, but I believe the sockets themselves are different. In any event, the NewerTech USB stick is cheaper than an AirPort card.

You can look up your Mac on it and see which AirPort card it has. You can also check out what upgrades are available.
A couple of good things to do is to max out the RAM and upgrade the OS. OWC will have the RAM and they are very knowledgable about Macs and can advise you on any hardware upgrades they offer. You would probably have to look at EBay to find a retail disc for upgrading to Tiger or Leopard, and preferably the latest version of the OS that is supported. Panther has some limitations, and I beleve that Google no longer supports Panther so you might need to find a different browser if you stay with Panther.

EVen if there is no way to backup, what is the system file for Firefox that stores these, so i can transfer this file or open it in an XML or similar editor to copy them out?

The permissions.sqlite file stores 'allow' and 'block' exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, and extensions (software) installation.

Is there a pattern to the time of day or other detail that may be
traced back to a OS X system cause of this odd phenomenon?
Are there any copies of system files on any of the attached USB
external drives? Any libraries, such as iTunes, iPhoto, etc?
Once the drives are indexed by Spotlight, are their permissions
ignored by the OS X? Content, if neutral, should not affect the
wake or sleep cycle; especially if they're ignored by the OS X.
Could there be a bad cable or other component? If so that would
be a difficult process of elimination to detect it. Usually replacing
most suspect components in the USB stream (external to Macs)
is a rote way to mechanically test that idea; & not 100% sure.
Does the equipment all have a good ground to the utility or house
electrical field? An intermittent ground may affect more than sleep.
Hard to say at this point. Maybe a late-night talk radio guru on
remote viewing could peer into your situation and sleuth it out?
Sorry to have run out of ideas, but the process must be electrical
& mechanical to some extent. - Or perhaps odd software inspired.
Do you have any phone-home spyware items inside, just jumping
at the chance to spill your information? Little Snitch may help.
PS: Perhaps the computer needs to go into Apple & have a genius
or product specialist at AASP test the unit thoroughly... BlueTooth?

You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. If you have the original movie files, you'd be much better converting those, otherwise try MPEGstreamclip.

If you are running Snow Leopard:
Go under the Mail menu and choose Preferences, then choose the Accounts tab. Under the box on the left you will see a + , click on it. This will add a new account. Now you must put in all the information needed to access that account.

My Mac Mail program no longer stores any files in my Sent folder. Moreover, the sent folder (off to the left) contains a highlighted "1" as if something is in there.
When I try to send an e-mail message, it simply spins.
This is new behavior for my Laptop of three years. Usually, I have lots of messages in my Sent folder and can easily send e-mail.
I see no discussion forum for "Mail" or for "e-mail" so I raise this question here.
I would appreciate any help anyone might offer.

Do you have the Convert higher bit rate songs to 128 Kbps AAC option ticked from under the iPod's Summary tab in iTunes?
If so, disable it and then click the Apply button in the lower right hand corner to apply the changes to your device.

Mail won't automatically apply rules to messages in "sent" folder

The title says it all. Is this a bug? Mail lets you set rules for items in the "sent" folder, but apple won't automatically apply the rules like it will for all other mail. You must highlight your "sent" messages and click "apply rules." This is quite annoying. Am I missing something.

Once you send an e-mail it gets time stamped, from what I know this timestamp can't be modified. I too have received e-mails with the wrong timestamp. In some mail clients such as Yahoo Mail and Gmail what will happen is that you will get a new message notification but the email won't be at the top of the inbox but rather somewhere down the list. This happens as e-mails are sorted by their timestamps when they arrive to your inbox.

have a text convo with the person you want to delete. Go to the top contact in the text convo, hit edit contact, and delete that contact.
That resolution came from another thread on this issue, and this did solve to poster's issue.
