I have tried lot of things by setting classpaths for
converting PRC file to JAR file ,but...............in
vain.Do you really mean "converting PRC file to JAR file", or do you mean "converting JAR file to PRC file"? I suspect it's the latter. Make sure you are doing ALL these steps:
1) (*change this to match your own directory structure*)
set classpath=%classpath%;.;c:\J2ME_TOOLS\j2me_cldc\bin\api\classes;C:\J2ME_TOOLS\j2me_cldc\tools\palm\src
2)(*change this to match your own directory structure*)
set path=%path%;C:\J2ME_TOOLS\j2me_cldc\bin;C:\J2ME_TOOLS\j2me_cldc\tools\palm\src
3) cd to the directory where your "*.java" files are
4) compile:
javac *.java
dir...check to see if you have new "*.class" files
5) Make a directory to hold the class that will be generated by the preverifier:
md preverified_classes6) preverify the classes:
preverify -d ./preverified_classes myClass1 myClass2 myClass3 ...etc
7) cd to the new directory
cd preverified_classes
dir...should show another copy of each ".class" file - these are the preverified ones.
8) From these preverified class files, create your jar file:
jar -cf myJarFile.jar *.class
9) Now create PRC from jar:
java palm.database.MakePalmApp -v -JARtoPRC myJarFile.jar myMainClassName
...where
"myJarFile.jar" is the name of your jar file, and
"myMainClassName" is the name of the main class in the jar file
10) look at the directory listing
dirshould show myJarFile.prc
10) Load myJarFile.prc onto your Palm device or emultor and reset. Then you sould be good to go.

  • Problem converting music file into aiff: 'empty' aiff file

    I can't get on with my edit!! Problem: I try to convert a music file so I can use it in a sequence as background music. When I convert (export using quicktime conversion) the mp3 file into a aiff file (choosing bit depth 16 and 48000 khz) I can convert the file in an aiff file, but then, when I import this aif file and I want to listen to it, it doesn't contain any music, sound doesn't show up, as if it was empty (though shows 3 MB and right duration). What is going on here, what am I doing wrong??
    Please help!!

    It's not DRM protected, not coming from Itunes store... In fact it worked before but I don't know why it doesn't now, following all FCE instructions... MartinR you're right, it works when converting directly in itunes and then importing into FCE.
    Thanks guys!

  • Problems converting WAV file

    I'm trying to convert a ~250MB wav file to an MP3 using iTunes and I keep getting an error message that says:
    "The disk could not be read from or written to". I can't play the file in iTunes either.
    Does anyone know what the limit is for converting such files?
    Anyone have any suggestions? I'm gonna try using GarageBand to convert the file perhaps...

    If Garageband doesn't work, try Audacity.

  • Problems converting DOC files in watched folder

    Hi, <br /><br />Have a couple of issues with PDFG: <br /><br />We have managed to configure PDF generator and can view the AdminUI screens. However, when we place a word document in the IN folder, the OUT folder log displays the following message: <br />-----------<br />Failed to process job <file> <br />Error Code  1 009 <br />Reason : The service to convert the document could not be looked up. <br />-----------<br />The watched folder as well as services are on local drives. <br /><br />We get the same error when we use the AdminUI > 'create PDF' section to upload a doc/text file. Hi Chris,
    - Yes. PDFG was installed on machine having an Office2003 install.
    - Yes. The same user credentials were used for Office and PDFG.
    - PDFG is not the only application installed. However, both memory/processor utilization were < 50% throughout the JBoss service process. The JBoss service stays on the "starting" mode for a long time.
    - We have installed JDK 1.4.2_08

  • Problem converting flat file to XML using JMS Adapter

    I need to take an MQSeries message in a flat file format and convert it to XML before processing.  I have configured the modules as described by the screenshot located here:
    http://www.radesix.com/JMSConfig.jpg
    The message is received however it isn't converting to XML.  When I view the payload I get the message indicated by the screenshot located here:
    http://www.radesix.com/JMSError.jpg
    I am new to XI.  Any ideas?

    For simple plain conversion here is a config, which works in our system:
    (left parameter key, right parameter value, module key always the same)
    Transform.Class com.sap.aii.messaging.adapter.Conversion
    TransformContentType text/xml;charset=utf-8
    xml.conversionType SimplePlain2XML
    xml.addHeaderLine 0
    xml.processFieldNames fromConfiguration
    xml.documentName SA02_Identnummer
    xml.documentNamespace urn:mycompany-com:logistics:DFT:HWL
    xml.structureTitle SA02_Identnummer_Satz
    xml.fieldNames Satzart,Identnummer,Status
    xml.fieldFixedLengths 2,10,3
    Be aware, that you must delete all spaces in the config, especially when you copy and paste values.
    For struct. conversion the entries are a little bit more complex.

  • Classpath problem with properties file in jar

    Hi,
    I am seeing a classpath error for my setup, as follows...
    A defaultFieldIDs.properties exists with numerous entries:
    projectID=10630
    issueTypeID=80
    closedStatusID=6My Spring applicationContext.xml file contains the following:
    <bean class="org.springframework.beans.factory.config.PropertyPlaceholderConfigurer">
              <property name="locations">
                   <list>
                         <value>classpath:sqlScripts.properties</value>
                         <value>classpath:defaultFieldIDs.properties</value>
                    </list>
              </property>
              <property name="ignoreUnresolvablePlaceholders" value="false"/>
         </bean>
    <util:map id="defaultQueryParameters">
              <entry key="projectID" value="${projectID}"/>
              <entry key="issueTypeID" value="${issueTypeID}"/>
              <entry key="closedStatusID" value="${closedStatusID}"/>
              <entry key="statusFieldName" value="${statusFieldName}"/>
              <entry key="numberOfExpenseLinesFieldID" value="${numberOfExpenseLinesFieldID}"/>
         </util:map>My compiled jar contains the above properties directory in its root directory, and is placed in the lib directory of the application
    However, when I start my application I get the following error:
    Invalid bean definition with name 'defaultQueryParameters' defined in null: Could not resolve placeholder 'projectID'
    What is going wrong here?

    Then presumably that jar file isn't in the classpath for your application. Perhaps just dropping it into the lib directory isn't sufficient.
    You didn't say anything about what kind of application it is. For web applications, all jars in the WEB-INF/lib directory are in the classpath. But you didn't say this was a web application and you didn't say you put it in the WEB-INF/lib directory. So if you don't care to put sufficient information into your posts, I recommend you read up on the rules for whatever type of application you have, in particular the rules for how to set its classpath.

    I am new to this so I am not sure what the file size is since I'm not resizing it.
    The question asked about exported image size (height and width) in pixels, not file size. Your operating system can tell you, or if you import the exported image into Lightroom, then Lightroom can tell you in the Metadata Panel, set the dropdown to EXIF.
    I am printing a 5x7. I know I have tried to print with long edge set at 1024 and set to 300 ppi and had the same result with the grainy ness.
    If the exported file has a long edge of 1024, then you did resize the image, there no other way to turn a RAW in to a JPG with long edge 1024. In any event, 1024 pixels is probably not large enough to fill 7 inches, that's really 1024/7=146 pixels per inch (rounded-off), and could be the cause of the "graininess" that you see, although I would use the word "pixelization" to describe what you see. So I'm not sure we are talking about the same thing, but let's go with it for now.
    The solution depends on your answer to the original question, and probably depends on a clarification of how you got the image to 1024 on the long edge even though you claim you didn't resize it.

    RooRoo1024,
    Welcome to Discussions,
    I guess the original movies are muxed (audio and video in the same track).
    iPod plays video but not audio of some exported files explains how to find that out.
    Try iSquint to convert them.
    Hope this helps.

  • Problems converting XviD files using Adobe Media Encoder

    hi guys,
    so i downloaded a trial of adobe premier cs4 to see if it would be any good for editing my videos, im importing media from 2 compact video devices that encode in XviD MPEG-4.
    I heard that you cant really directly edit XviD and that i should recode it first, however when i try to media encoder instantly crashes saying:

    MPEG of any kind is not supported in the trial.  That might explain it.

  • Itunes won't import or convert .wav files?

    I have a bunch of .wav files that I wanted to import to itunes, so that I could convert/burn them to cd's. I don't have any problem playing the files in Quicktime. But when I import them, although it appears to work fine, if I try to play it, it won't play, it skips to the next song. When I try to convert to mp3, it gives me the message:
    Error occurred while converting the file "xxx".
    The disk could not be read from or written to.
    The files are just on my desktop, not on a CD. I don't have a problem converting other files. What could be causing this?

    Same complaint here. I use an 80gb iPod Classic with an Alesis iMultimix USB8 live mixer to record performances at our local open mic. Starting in April, the WAV files from the iPod would automatically stream into iTunes when I connected the iPod, and it was a snap to select a whole evening's worth and convert the lot to MP3 to save archiving space (by a ton). Starting in September, I seem to have some kind of random corruption of these files.
    Some hang up the program immediately upon being selected and the "convert to mp3" chosen from the Advanced menu. Others start to convert and then hang up, usually with 10-15 seconds left to convert. Others convert just as before without problems. I have had to force-quit iTunes a number of times to unlock the system. This is getting really old, and what was a semi-automated process has become one of picking through the files one by one, force-quitting when it hangs, then deleting the culprit when I re-open iTunes. I'm losing some irreplaceable recordings, which pretty much negates the whole purpose of capturing everything every week.
    I don't recall when I made the last prompted update of iTunes, but it very likely could have been just before this started happening.
    Another glitch in this recording method that's a bit off topic: there really should be a two-step procedure to delete a voice memo. More than once I have deleted an abortive performance, then recorded the next one. When I pause it and the menu comes up, it's easy not to notice that the selected option is still "delete". I make about 20 of these recordings every week, and it's my habit to select "stop and save" quickly so as to get the next one started. If we got a second screen asking if we're sure we want to delete, it would be easy to catch.
    The voice memo feature is great, especially with a mixer than can use the iPod as a hard drive to capture live performances, but the software needs work!

  • Converting WAV files to AAC  Error convert Can't read from or write to disk

    For several weeks I had no problem converting WAV files (from an Olympus Digital Recorder) to AAC format in iTunes, then one day I clicked "Convert Selection to AAC" and received the message "Error occured while converting the file. The disk could not be read from or written to." There is no Error # associated with the Error message.

    I recently spent over 14 hours converting all my CD songs to WAV. WAV conversion was the only one of two options available with my older Nero software, and MP3 conversion was not an option. I intended to make mixed CD's. By the time I was done, I had over 300 songs that take up over 17 GB in this WAV format.
    The thought of sitting even more endless hours making these CD's made me even more exhausted, and I realized that I should get with the times and get an MP3 player. So, I bought an iPod directly from Apple two days ago (12/16), and get this, MaclessInAZ, the sales person told me that I all my WAV files could be imported into my iPod with iTunes. (!!!)
    I am very glad to have read this thread before I got my iPod. I would have been so upset if there was no easy solution. My new iPod is supposed to be delivered tomorrow, and I am looking forward to getting it. Many thanks to weavercs for the information on the Switch program that converts WAV to MP3. Even if I decide to buy the full version of Switch, it is a lot less expensive than other conversion programs that I just found online, like Roxio.
