BIG PROBLEM ps3 system
hey guys im gona get straight to the problem my ps3 gets a few minutes gameplay or after turning on, these green blotches come up on the screen and small dots everywhere. ive replaced the fan and thermal paste and tryed a diffrent PSU but did nothing Model: slim CECH-2102A i can upload a video if needed
You were having this problem the other day weren't you and you fixed it or something, was that you ??? I'd say it's buggered, it's a 5yo console so probably best not to waste your time and money and get a new one

BIG problem! System's folder got deleted. Please help.

I have a quite big problem here. I accidently delete my system's folder out of the macintosh HD. I was going to delete a folder right beside it but it appears that i delete the wrong one. I know, pretty stupid eh. Symptoms are: cannot login to the OS when the computers starts; flashing of "prohibitory sign" during the startup constantly for about a minute and booted up on windows (i have windows installed in my MBP).
I've read so many different apple's articles about this. There is one about archive and install (can be found here http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=107120 ). It told me to reInstall the OS. So i followed these steps and stopped when i can't select Preserve users and network settings. I assumed that "preserve users and network" is the option that will keep my files rite? The reason im doing this is because I dont want lose all my files inside. There are so many songs and important files inside and I can't think whats going to happen if I lose all that files.
Any of you guys have suggestion or solution to this riddle? Help is greatly appreciated. Thx a for the attention.Archive and Install will save the old system in a Previous System Folder. It does not delete anything. However, it will not preserve anything that was in your deleted System folder because you deleted it.
A question is how did you empty the Trash? The System folder cannot be deleted unless you authenticate which means you can't delete it 'accidentally.' It's possible the folder is still in the Trash. If that be the case simply open a Finder window on the Trash and drag the System folder back to it's proper location. Of course to do this you will have to be able to start up the computer. If you have a backup system on an external Firewire drive that would do just fine. If not, then you could try to get access to another Mac that supports Firewire. You can then connect the two via Firewire cable. Then boot your computer into Target Disk Mode, then boot the other computer normally. You computer's hard drive will appear on the other computer's Desktop. You can then gain access to the Trash to restore the System folder, assuming you haven't actually emptied the Trash. -
Hey I'm jay I've have recently came across a lot of problems with my ps3 it heats up really fast but there's no dust and its in an open area, it gets hot enough to get me worried plus no heat signs come up it just freezes once its too hot.
it freezes but when it does weird lines are on the screen, I press the power button it beeps and green light flashes but then how long it wants to take it will beep 3 times continue flashing green for about 5 seconds then turns off
Does anyone know what's going on?I'm in Australia so I don't know where you can get it repaired/re-furbed over there besides Sony, but someone else will know Unless you can do it yourself of course

I have 10.5.2 installed on my PowerBook G4.
Strange things are happening when trying to open/view images or pdf.
1) with the new overview/slideshow button they are showed properly.
2) when I try to open them with preview (either by finder or from preview "open file") preview will crash
3) the coverflow function in Finder will crash as well
Have already tried:
1) correct permissions
2) rebuild databases (launchd, local, whatis)
3) clear caches
Any ideas?

M.OK, in that case you may be able to repair this with the 10.5.2 Combo Update This is a fuller install, as opposed to an incremental "delta" update so it should overwrite any files that are damaged or missing. It does not matter if you have applied it before.
Remember to Verify Disk before update and repair permissions after update from /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.
Be aware that there is a known issue with the 10.5.2 Combo not installing with a certain build number 9C7010 which comes from a certain order of installing updates.
If this is the case, it won't do any harm, it just won't install. You'll know right away.

I have big problems with mountain lion. you can not have a boot disk system I resulted in the need to re-download the os from scratch impiegandoci 8 hours, it is outrageous even with windows 95.
at least that the operator has confirmed to me that he called me. I also have problems with either the start of the mac with the power off. I can not understand if it crashes or is just very very slow.
Finally, I have a problem with the external hard disck. I often said to have been ejected incorrectly (not true) and I start to restore the startup recovery disk because disk utility is ineffective from the normal operating system .. is a shocking thing, but how you reduced. in four years it had never happened. seem to have windows or worse. (The same applies to Windows XP users).
Use the "File" menu to get to Import. You are not on Windows 7 or Vista, and don't have to put up with the nonsense added for Aero.

Hi, I got a big problem. I restored my macbook pro and after I erased everything and started to restall the system, it showed I need to give the apple ID that was purchased the lion. The problem is that I lost my installing CD, and I don't have an ID with lion purchased, so what should I do? Do you sell the system software?

The particular model of MacBook Pro is a key detail here, as the Mac model will determine the oldest version it can boot, as well as whether it'll boot more current software.
AFAIK there is and was no Lion installer DVD available. It was a download. AFAIK, the last DVDs commonly available were for Snow Leopard 10.6. Snow Leopard DVDs are still available in the Apple online store in various countries, if your MacBook Pro is old enough to be able to boot that version.
If your MacBook Pro purchase with Lion wasn't registered with Apple, then you'll have to discuss this directly with the Apple Support folks, or repurchase Lion from the Mac App Store (which will usually involve a call to Apple for a redemption code as it's old software), or you'll "purchase" (it's free) Mavericks OS X 10.9 and wipe and install that assuming your MacBook Pro supports Mavericks. If you didn't purchase the MacBook Pro from Apple (and it was shipped with an older release), then you'll end up acquiring a redemption code from Apple for Lion, or installing Mavericks.
For completeness and given you're probably already aware of this, the usual approach for restoration with recent OS X versions is via the recovery boot (more details). If the disk is wiped and you can't get Lion, then you'll probably end up reinstalling with Target Disk Mode using another Mac with a compatible FireWire or Thunderbolt port and a cable. Or visit the local Apple Store.
sputniki: Once OS X 10.7 or 10.9 has been reinstalled, yes, getting Time Machine configured and going is undoubtedly on the agenda. But had there been a viable backup here, I expect jianghua would have used it. -
How to load an image without a gui? big problems...
Hey guys, I usually try my best to not ask for help and figure stuff out myself. But this last week i've been having big problems with this work project.
My goal is to load images from disk, and append them to each other to create one big image.
The images are 0-9.jpg each file containing a number in it. then i create one big file with 4 numbers in it. called final.jpg.
so far i can do all this, but whenever the program is finished, the application just keeps running. the program has literally gone through all the steps... i have a system.out.println printed on the last line after the main, after the class instantiation... and still it stays running.
how do you guys load images without a gui? This program will probably be running under unix, so i can't create a (for component example)
Panel() and media track the file load... so i'm pretty much stumped
any help you guys can provide would be really incredibly helpfull at this point. I have searched these threads for a few hours without luck. I found only 1 real post related to my problem, but eventually they said use MediaTracker = new Mediatracker( new Panel() ); which i can't use. :(

Thank youWhat program did you use to fix the internal hard drive? What repairs did it report making? More crucially, if repairs were reported, did you re-run the utility until it reported no problems found? It's possible for one set of problems with a drive to mask others.
If you have about 5GB or so free space on the internal hard drive, you can use your OS X Install disc to perform an Archive and Install to recover from the failed Software Update. When the computer restarts, download and run the OS X Update Combo 10.4.11 (Universal). When the Mac restarts after that, run Software Update. During all this, make sure nothing interrupts or shuts down the Mac! Note that the first start after each of these updates will take significantly longer than subsequent starts, so be very patient.
How did you back up your internal drive to the external one? Did you just drag things over in the Finder, or did you use a utility such as SuperDuper! or CarbonCopyCloner? Does the external HD show up as a bootable volume in System Preferences > Startup Disk, or using Startup Manager? -

URGENT BIG PROBLEM:during import track st. in queue simply does not disap
I have problem when importing transport request on production(the transport domain controler is on development system) . The track status in queue simply does not disappear.
I tried(based on what I have seen on an other thread) to delete the transport in import monitor and tp on OS level on productive and development system
Then I deleted entries in TRBAT&TRJOB tables. The TPSTAT is empty.
The problem persists.

But I uninstalled all the system 'cause suddenly I started having problems with the SQL command line, and now, after reinstalling the system several times, I can't acces to the database (web or command line).
