If you want to use your current ID you will either have to provide a credit card or redeem an iTunes gift card.  Otherwise you can create a new ID without a credit card to purchase free apps by following this exactly as written: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2534.

  • How to calculate Bill Discount, Letter of Credit, Deposits & Cheque amount!

    Hi,
I have a requirement where in I have to develop a report to display bank balance chart with the following details in the output. They are :
    1. Posting Date
    2. Bill Discount (BD)
    3. Letter of Credit(LC)
    4. Cheque Amount may be cheque issued.
    5. Deposits.
Above are the information which i have to display based on Posting Date range , Company Code and Bank Key present in the selection-screen.
    Below are my few observations:
    1. To retrieve the Bill Discount, I am first fetching the data from BKPF table by checking the document types 'DZ' ,'KZ', Company code and Posting Date Range. Then using document number, company code present in these entries along with Posting key = 39 and special GL indicator = 'W' retrieving the data like DMBTR,WRBTR from BSEG.
    2. Similarly for Letter of Credit amount retrieving the data in the same way as mentioned above except special GL indicator will be 'Y'.
Now please correct me if my approach is wrong. Request you all to throw some light as I am Technical Consultant and humbly looking forward to all your help.
Also, request to let me know the logic or process how one can calculate fourth point as well as Fifth point as mentioned above.
I am just looking for flow of data/process flow/standard transactions through which I can see these above mentioned things which can help me in building the logic. At least a general approach to this will be appreciated highly.

  • Configuration of Bills of Exchange and Letter of Credit

Please can someone give me the steps for configuration of Bills Receivable, Payable and Letter of Credit.

    1) No restart is necessary when dataguard broker is used to upgrade the protection mode from maxperformance to maxavailability, you have to do this if you would change the mode manually outside the broker.
    2) ... Won't this be a problem since unless a switchover/ failover has been performed the standby database is not supposed to be mounted? ...
I don't understand this. A standby database is always (at least,it may be even open, depending on the configuration and version, which you don't tell) to be mounted.
You don't need to add 'standby database' to 'alter database mount', because Oracle knows is it a primary or a standby database. This clause is optional, more interesting for a human reader.

  • Import Leter of credit

    Hello peers,
can any one tell me the configuration steps for LC process in SAP. pls am struck in middle.
    Thanks
    Murali

    Hi,
Import Process Involving a Letter of Credit
You (the importer) first request a quote for the merchandise. This may or may not include transportation and insurance costs.
You prepare a purchase order based on the offer received from the exporter.
The exporter creates a pro forma invoice and sends it to you.
You open a letter of credit with the opening bank in the country of import.
This involves advising the bank of the documents required from the exporter. As an importer, you not only need the documents required by customs, but also the documents that are required by any other agency regulating your commodity. These may include
    Bills of lading
    Commercial invoice
    Export packing list
Shipper's Export Declaration (SED) (Required in the USA for goods valued at $2501 or more)
Shipper's Letter of Instructions (SLI) (applies only to the USA)
Single Administrative Document (SAD) (applies only to the EU)
    Certificate of Origin
    Insurance certificates
    Licenses (when necessary)
Using the SAP FT application, you can  create the letter of credit yourself before contacting the opening bank. Other than insurance certificates, you can also create the documents listed above using FT.
The opening bank sends the letter of credit to the advising bank in the exporter's country.
The advising bank advises the exporter that a letter of credit has been opened in his favor.
The exporter ships the merchandise in accordance with the terms stipulated in the letter of credit.
The exporter gives the documents proving that the shipment was made in conformance with the letter of credit to the advising bank.
The advising bank pays the exporter based on the documents received.
The advising bank transfers the documents to the opening bank and receives payment.
The opening bank gives the documents to you (the importer).
You calculate the duty rates, file the declaration with customs and pay the customs duties within the time frame required by law.
    Hope this helps you.
    Rgds

  • Letter of Credit (Urgent )

    Hi All,
I needed to know if anyone has worked on letter of credit or have dealt with payment gurantee procedure configuration.
Define and Assign forms of payment guarantee has 5 different configs. First one, Define payment guarantee schema - This part of this configuration controls the sequence in which system assign the sales document ITEMS to payment guarantee procedure. I want to know where actually we can see these sequences happening. I looked at the sales order (at the item level) but system is only picking payment guarantee procedure and form of payment gurantee. I don't see any sequecial order in which I set the config.
    Any input will be great!

    Hi Navneet,
Letter of credit configuration is same as bill of exchange, with small changes.

  • Credit management activation with letter of credit

    Hi Sap guru
I have one queries regarding customer credit limit effect with LC document.
If i creating one LC document for customer after assign to sales order for that perticular customer, it should effect the credit limit of that customer.
In which field it should effect the custmer credit master FD32.
in secured liability field , secured receviable field , or the receviable field .
Can any body tell ,me what is the process of LC attachment with sales order if the credit management is active in company code , and what is the effect in customer credit expouser.
    Thanks in advance .
    Regards
    Anjan Kumar Jha

    Hi Anjan
It is the aim of every credit policy to reduce the risk represented by customer receivables.
Along with Credit Management, several other ‘Payment Guarantee Forms’ within the
business processes are explored. These include letters of credit and payment cards.
These ‘payment guarantee forms’ differ in the level of security they can offer and are all
    integrated within Risk Management.
When a payment guarantee is used (for example, a letter of credit), the system first tries to
provide the optimum in risk minimization. If this is not possible, then Credit Management in
a second step is used to create a credit limit and therefore restrict the level of risk.
Letters of credit are used predominantly for large -scale export transactions, whereas cre dit
while Cards are more important for Retail transactions.
You create a Letter of credit by using VX11 after creating that you assign that in billing tab of sales order in risk Management Financial doc number.
keep in mind the incoterms of Letter of Credit and Sales order should be same.

  • Use of Letter of Credit in Sales cycle

    Hi Guru's
Can any one send me or explain me of the letter of credit work process in SAP or sales cycle?
Please Suggest any documentation on it
    thanx In advcnce.

    HI Prashant,
here is the overview or payment cards
       1. When you create a sales order, you can enter credit card data manually, or copy it from the payer master record. You can enter one card in the sales order overview screen. You are able to enter multiple cards, or multiple authorizations on one card, in the payment card plan in the sales order header. The system automatically authorizes the sales order when you save it.
At a later time, you create the delivery. The authorization may have expired in the meantime, so the system checks to ensure that it is still valid. If the authorization is no longer valid, the system tells you to reinitiate authorization in the sales order. You complete and save the delivery. When all the items are picked, packed, and goods issue is posted,
you create a billing document. Here, payment card data is copied from the sales order, or uploaded directly into the billing document from an external system, as in the case of point of sale. The system uses the authorizations in the payment card plan to calculate billing amounts. You process the billing document and release it to Financial Accounting.
    PAYMENT CARD MASTER DATA
To quickly and efficiently process sales orders with payment cards, you can store card data in the payer master record. When you create a sales order, you simply call up a list of cards for the customer using the matchcode on the payment card number field. The system automatically copies the card data into the sales order for the card or cards that you choose from this list.
The one-time customer record is a collective account, in the master record, for a group of unrelated customers. For this reason, you cannot maintain payment card data for one-time customers.
    Features
You can enter the following card information in the payer master record:
Card type, for example VISA, MC, or AMEX
    Card number
The system checks the card numbers you enter to ensure that they correspond to the numbering standards of the relevant payment card company (for example, checking to make sure that a Visa card number begins with "4").This reduces the risk of having to go through a lengthy authorization process in the sales order with an incorrect card number.
The system also checks to ensure that a payment card belongs to only one customer. You cannot enter one payment card in two different master records.
    Expiration date
Cardholder or company name as it appears on the card
Card category, such as credit card, customer card, or purchasing card
    Blocking reason
If required, you can block the payment card by entering a reason, for example 01 for "card stolen". You maintain blocking reasons in Customizing for payment cards in the Billing section of the IMG.
    Note
A block is for a particular payment card only. If one of the customer's payment cards is blocked, he or she may use another.
Also, a block does not effect sales documents that have already been created with the card. You can, however, run a standard search to determine all documents in which the card number is used.
    Card valid-from date
    Default card
You can assign a default card if there is more than one card for a customer. When you call up a list of cards for the customer in the sales order, this card is highlighted.
    Hope this will be helpful...
Request you to reward points if helpful.
    Thanks & regards
