Billing Date picking future date

Dear All,
We have a issue when the billing document is created it is picking one day ahead of the current date, ex. current dt is 11.10.2010 it is taking 12.10.2010 our client is using SAP system time as CET and OS level time is IST.
VTFL - Copy Control routine is - 011(Bill. date= Today) and pricing type is - C
Please suggest if you have encounter such issue.

Dear All,
After applying note 1124661 the system reaction is corrected to use the user time zone instead of the system time zone.
All you need to do is Set in T.Code - SU01 user time zone to local time zone of user who is creating the billing document.
and then apply the Note - 1124661 which force the system to pick the all business transaction date/time of user and not of central system data/time.

Usage lines got expired even end date is future date

Hi ,
We have Service Contract which Usage Line has been expired(status is in EXPIRED) even its end date is future date.
Other Usage lines and Service Lines are in Active status.
When I checked the lines through backend,we identified that it was updated by program
Contract Status Change by Range..
But as per program logic,it should not update the status of Usage line which end date is future date.
Is there any way to update the end date of the Usage line to date which is less than sysdate then make it expire and then update it back to original end date of usage line(future date)
Could anyone let me know if there is any provision or possibility.

YOu can not create data that does not exist.
You will need to add in a table which has all dates and make that you first table with all other data joined with a left out from this date table.

Date Picker - Default Date

Is there a way to set a default date in the date picker, but not show this default date in the date item? I want the date item to be blank, but when the user clicks on the date picker it will default to a date that is entered in another part of the application.
Example, users are entering people that are on call. They are entering date for March. I can set the default date, but it shows up in the date item. I just want the date picker to have the default.

The APEX Date Picker's default is directly tied to the field. You can't set one without the other unless you wanted to create your own date picker item. There are a few custom date pickers you can do a quick search for. You might be able to find one you can modify to meet your needs.

File Modifications Date as Future date

But same file when i transfer to mac it doesnt stay that date. is there any way assign the future date for perticuler file. I tried to change the computer date and do the modifications . But seems like it does not correct way. in windows the developer changed the computer date and it holding the that date in future "2040".

Select list and date picker on one line - is this a bug?

I'm using: Application Express 3.2.0.00.27
Is the following a bug? If so, how do I get it reported so it will be fixed in a future release of APEX? If not, how do I do it so it ends up the way I want?
1. create blank page
2. create html region
3. create "select list" item (Begin On New Line - Yes, ...Field - Yes, ColSpan - 1, Row Span - 1)
4. create date picker item (Begin On New Line - No, ...Field - No, ColSpan - 1, Row Span - 1)
There will be other items displayed in more columns above what I just had you create above. I want the select list and the date picker to display next to each other on same line, so I placed date picker item on same line in same field as select list item.
HOWEVER... the date picker ends up displayed under the select list item (kind of), instead of next to it on the same line.
Here's what I get:
...................... [Select List Field] Date Picker Label
Select List Label
...................... [Date Picker Field]
Here's what I want:
Select List Label [Select List Field] Date Picker Label [Date Picker Field]

O4NM or O4TEN Create & Actualize a Ticket with future date

Hi,
I would like to create a ticket with future date; in the tab 'Movement Details'....'Start Date', 'End Date' & 'Posting Date'.
Example: Ticket to be created with the start & end date as 05/20/02008.
System throws error : Cannot actualize a ticket for a future date or time.
Please suggest.

During the ticket creation, when I'm entering the 'Start Date' and 'End Date' with a future date eg 05/30/2008; getting the error.
The requirement is to create & actualize the ticket with dates 'Start Date', 'End Date' and the 'Posting Date' with future date.
FYI, there is a significant number of tickets that are booked using end of the month date in order to avoid several fees. We also have to do closing and reconsolidations end of the month. These activities create a significant stress to complete tasks before deadlines. Along with that, we also have to complete ticketing that we scheduled for end of the month. Therefore, resolving the issue of been able to ticket and actualize tickets ahead of time would substantially make processes and procedures easy when we are stretched for time which we don't have towards the end of the month.
Please suggest.

Set List datefield to future date and disable all date behind current date?

Is it possible to set date to future date (atleast 2 week) and all prior date should be grayed out . User will not able to select behind current.
Is it possible with OOB option. JQuery work around also fine.

Also Place a validation rule as below which will restrict all previous date
[FutureDate] > (Today()+14)
User cant save that item if future date is not greater that today play another 14 days.

There is no code to use here, this is all done by the end user inside the Plus worksheet.
First of all, your Discoverer administrator needs to create two or more lists of values on related items within the folder, for example on the Year, Quarter, Month and Date.
In the end user tool, the user creates a set of conditions on these items presenting the highest level first, for example the year, followed by the next item in the chain, for example the Quarter and so on.
In the sub conditions, for example on the Quarter, the user checks the box which asks whether the values for this item should be based on a previous selection. You then tell Discoverer to use the previous selection thus the list of values for Quarter will be restricted to the year or years selected in the first condition. You simply repeat this exercise for Month and then Day.
Do you have a copy of my Oracle Discoverer 10g Handbook? If so, you will find a full description of cascading parameters in there.
If you or your users don't know how to do this you may want to consider taking some training as this is standard functionality within the Plus tool and you would expect report writers to know how to do this.

Af:selectInputDate Date Picker Is 1 day off

I am currently using JDeveloper 10.1.3.5 and am running into a bug that I believe was supposed to be fixed in JDeveloper 10.1.3.3.
My application is designed using ADF BC and ADF Faces. Whenever selecting a date from the date picker, the date displayed in the textbox and stored in the DB is the previous day.
I read something about this issue being a bug with daylight savings time and that setting the time zone in the adf-faces-config.xml file can fix the problem. After setting the time zone, the date selected in the date picker and the date displayed in the textbox are the same, but the date stored in the DB is 1 day later.
Does anyone know what is going on and if there is a fix for this? Thanks for ANY help.

Yes this is a correct way to fix the issue. One thing however, how did you set the timezone? For correct daylight saving handling, you'll have to use the long version, like America/New Yorw, NOT GMT-5 (for example).

Date Picker with seconds?

Hi everybody,
In my APEX application, for a particular form element, I need to setup a date picker with date + time with seconds.
Unfortunately, in the differents masks that can be used for date picker element, there is not support of seconds.
I have tried to set the default date format at "DD/MON/YYYY HH24:MI:SS" for my application, then to choose the date picker based on the application default date format, but still no support for seconds, only hour and minutes...
Does anyone have an idea about that issue, and a way to implement seconds in my date picker? The point is that I need to be able to select the exact second in a range.
Maybe something with jQuery or something else?

Yes, this is one of the solutions, but of course it will require to create these additional elements...
Still looking for an "all-in-one" way. If nothing is possible on the date picker level, I will manage it with more elements.

Date Picker with submit

Hi, I have 2 Date Pickers: The first date Picker contains date of the beginning (P203_BDATE), the second contains date of the end (P203_EDATE).
I made item P203_EDATE with submit (I set HTML Form Element Attributes of P203_EDATE to onchange="doSubmit('P203_BDATE','P203_EDATE');" ), so submit works after choosing end date and I get rows between begin and end date. (I use tabular form)
My problems:
1.I don`t know how to clear items P203_BDATE,P203_EDATE to get all rows of the report (may be something like "no date" in calendar)
2. I want to do P203_BDATE with submit only if P203_EDATE is not null (if user will want to change the beginning of the period after the first filtering of data)
Does anybody know how to solve these?

Hi Suri.
1. Respect to clear the values of begin and end dates, for see all table records, what you should to do is the opposite to clear, cause you're using between condition. Then you will want to assign a low value for begin as '01/01/1956' and a high value for end date as '12/31/2060'. You can add other controls as Select List with Submit to determine the date ranges, or what you consider better.
2. To perform the submit only within your desired condition, you must add in the branch that fires the redirection to the same page, :P203_EDATE is not null as PL/SQL condition

Editable and Read-Only Date Picker have different display formats -- Bug?

This is a follow on to a previous posting about getting a Date Picker field to display read-only (Date Picker and Read-Only Condition works on LAST state of element
Now past that hurdle, I have noticed something about the date picker field when it is displays read-only. Namely, the date format is not the format selected, nor does the read-only date format comply with the format mask in the source section.
I've modified my small test app to work as intended in order to demonstrate this feature. I also opened it up so everyone can see it <blush>. You can find it here: http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=42513: Please navigate to the Update Project tab.
When a project in Program One through Four is selected (which has a Spec Committed date), the date is displayed DD-MON-YY format. When a project the other Programs (which do not have Spec Committed dates at the time of this writing) are selected, and a date value selected with the date picker, the date is displayed in the anticipated DD-MON-YYYY format.
Anyone else notice this, or have I just missed something obvious?

I'm not sure why this happens but to work around it I added this before header process code to the page:

User create form - date of birth (date formate)

Hi,
On the create user form I have an attribute 'date of birth'. By default the date picker outputs date as dd/MMM/yy (23/Mar/09). I would like to define the date format as 'dd month yyyy' (23 March 2009).
