Black border when exporting a site in Fireworks

Strange problem with Adobe Fireworks CS3 when exporting to html - added a black border, edging around the site, ~ 3 mm.
When viewed in Dreamweaver shows the following:
Question: how to remove the border?

It is just as I said, you need to set the margin and padding to 0   :-)
In your code find:  (line 8)
<style type="text/css">td img {display: block;}</style>
and replace it with the following:
<style type="text/css">
body {margin: 0; padding: 0;}
td img {display: block;}
</style>
Note:  It is never a good idea to export html code from a graphics program.  You should export individual slices and then build the site in Dreamweaver,.  At the moment, the whole webpage is make up of graphics - this is not the way to build a page, particularly if you want the pages found in Search Engines.
Here is a good tutorial teaching how to take a Fireworks design into Dreamweaver:

If you have further questions that relate to coding of the website, you are best to ask your questions in the Dreamweaver Forum:

  • Black border in exported video

    When I am in presentation mode I see picture in the correct ratio without border. But exported video with same configuration have black border. (Source images have small size then output video.) I need output video without border as in preview...

    it's a simple 2D operation. first you should find out how many pixels the "troubling" black border has, and then set a clip on it. the first idea with resizing is kind of complicated one, i admit:)
    1. find out the size of your image (width, height)
    2. get a clipping bounds (use Graphics.getClipBounds) and store it into Rectangle
    4. check if your image intersects correctly with the clip
    5. if yes, draw/store it with the new size
    protected void paintComponent(Graphics g) {
        // paint the logo at location logoX, logoY
        Rectangle clip = g.getClipBounds();
        Rectangle logo = new Rectangle(logoX, logoY, logoWidth, logoHeight);
        // if the logo is outside the clip, ignore it
        if (clip.intersects(logo)) {
            g.drawImage(logoImage, logo.x, logo.y, null);
       // paint the rest
    }you could use BufferedImage.getSubimage(x, y, width, height) but that is an expensive operation. the next option is to use repaint(x, y, width, height)

  • Removing the black border from exported videos

    Ok, basically I'm trying to rip DVD footage and convert it to something playable on an iPod. Nothing too hard getting it ripped and converted and all, but the VOB files didn't break right on the episodes, and I also wanted to edit out the theme from the beginning of EACH episode in the interest of space.
    Overall it's working pretty well so far, I've been able to perform all that I needed to do, but when I export I get a wide black border around the video which looks fine now, but will take up a lot of valuable space when reduced to iPod resolution. I've found ways to change the color of the border in FinalCut, but no real way to remove it. Anyone have a way of dealing with this?

    Ok, figured out what to do.
    If you go to the canvas, hit the box for the borders, tell it to show the wire frame. Click and you can rotate, resize, etc.

  • Issues with black psd files on black backgrounds when exported to PDF.

    Hello there,
    I'm having an issue since I upgraded to leopard and moved all my stuff from my old macbook pro (running OSX 10.4) to my new macbook pro (running OSX 10.5). CS3 didn't seem to have any problems before but now when I export an Indesign file with a black background containing a photoshop layered tif with a black background to pdf, the appears to be a big difference between the blacks - the Indesign file's black appears to be a mid grey.
    Any help would be appreciated!
    Here's how it all looks in InDesign: http://aycu14.webshots.com/image/48613/2005862333507831436_rs.jpg
    But this happens when exported and viewed in Acrobat (or preview etc.): http://aycu02.webshots.com/image/49801/2005871851784365159_rs.jpg

    In ID prefs go to Appearance of Blacks
    and set both instances to display Blacks Accurately.
    You will need to measure the rich black in the Tiff and make a rich black swatch in ID and use that for your book cover. now the blacks will match.

  • Black Screen when Exporting to Quicktime

    I have a finished project - but when I try to export it to quicktime its always a black screen. Ive tried a bunch of different settings - but always the same result. Im sure theres something simple I am doing wrong. Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thank you!

    What were the project settings?
    What version of FCP?
    What camcorder?
    How did you "export to quicktime?"
    What "bunch of different settings" did you use for what?
    We can't see these things from here, and your post has to detail what you did with what.

  • White line on right border when exporting in FCP 7

    I've been using FCP 7 and when I export as quicktime movie or a conversion there is a thin white line that is clearly visible on the right border. I use NTSC and am not using widescreen. I've been using FCP 6 without problems and it only showed up when I upgraded to 7. Any ideas on what is happening?

    NTSC? You mean DV?
    You could search the forum for your terms but I do not recall this particular issue coming up. I can tell that when we updated our FCP systems to FCS3 and to Leopard (not Snow Leopard) we saw no such artifacts in our DV stuff. We ahve since moved on to DVCPRO and have no such artifacts on any of our media.
    Your post does not include information that rules out this is just your monitor or viewer. You've got to determine whether the white line appears as pixels in the exported media or are artifacts of the player you happen to be using. It is possible for an overlay to be introduced from filters, another factor you do not include in your post.

  • SWF grey border when exported

    Can someone give me direction on how to take off or change the color of this border? I've opened up html file and can checnge the background color but nothing is there to change the grey border. Any help would be AWESOME!

    That old eDocContainer was very simple and fast solution... and there is no feature for changing background.
    Why don´t you just download free Trial of eDocker and make your project with eDocManager. Then you can change your background to what ever you like, even texture or photo.... You can download free trial at Adobe Marketplace and use it 3 days for free:

  • Export from FCE to iDVD, results in black border around movie

    Here is the problem....
    I have edited a movie in FCE where all of the footage is 1440 x 1080
    I export it using: File -> Export... QuickTime movie
    I choose "self contained" movie and "audio/video", plus "chapter markers" in the pop up menu.
    I then take this into iDVD amd all looks ok in the preview, but once burnt to DVD, there is a large black border around the entire movie.  It is almost like it is a smaller movie which does not fill the screen correctly.
    Any idea why this happens and how to overcome this. When I lok at the exported movie from FCE- it is 720-x576 and not the full size- is this the problem?
    Thanks for any tips.

    Hi
    Is it widescreen ?
    Did You in Your browser window set sequence and material to anamorphous. To me it was a revelation that the Browser window was exstendably to the right with lot's of columns - and one of them was Anamorphous.
    Did you start a WideScreen project in iDVD - First window that opens after You clicked Start a New iDVD project (top button). At bottom this new window You set 4:3 (SD format) or 16:9 for WideScreen.
    In iDVD You also need to go up to Project and down to Projectinfo
    then set 16:9 here TOOO !
    Proportion - Change it to 16:9

    • How to go from FCE/P to iDVD
    • Free space on Start-up hard disk
    • Encoding
    • Brand and type of DVDs used
    • Burn speed set
    • iDVD BUG
    • Chapters
    How to go from FCE/P to iDVD I do
    • Disable Screen and Energy saver
    • IMPORTANT --> FIRST in FinalCut - Mix Down Audio under Sequence Menu / Render Only / Mix-down
    • Export out as a QuickTime .mov file
    • Select with Mark - Chapter Mark
    • Not as Self-Contained (not important but saves time and space)
    • NO QUICKTIME CONVERSION (IMPORTANT)
    This QT.mov file I import into iDVD from within iDVD.
    Free space on Start-up hard disk
    I set a minimum of 25GB (for Mac OS and iDVDs temp files)
    Encoding
    • I use Pro Quality encoding
    Brand and type of DVDs used ( Important as cheap brands DO NOT WORK )
    • I use Verbatim
    • I use DVD-R
    Burn speed set (IMPORTANT)
    • I set down this to x4 (or x1)
    iDVD BUG
    • One can not go back to movie-project for any alterations and then go back to

    Medicine - Start a brand new iDVD project.
    Use of Chapters
    • I only use a to z and 0 to 9 in naming them. NO other symbol/letter !
    • NO Chapter-mark at very beginning - iDVD NEEDS TO set this by it self
    • No Chapter marks in or within two seconds from a transition
    (Way around this last one - Export movie as QT full quality and NO Chapter marks
    Import this into a new Movie-project and now You are free to set C-Ms where You want
    them except at very beginning - still)
    Material used to build movie
    • video - I use streamingDV (or convert all other to this e.g. .mp4, .avi, .wmv etc)
    • audio - I use .aiff 16-bit 48kHz or from Audio-CD (44.1kHz) - no .mp3 or direct from iTunes
    • photos - I use .jpg - no .bmp etc
    Problems - then Trash iDVD pref. file and run Repair Permissions - and have a re-try.
    from post ??
    May not be relevant, but I had the same problem with iDVD, where burned DVDs showed a green screen. It was cured by quitting Quicksilver and Quickeys as well as disabling sleep and screen-saving

  • Black frame in embedded quicktime movies in Keynote when exporting to quicktime movie

    I've included some quicktime movies made in Photoshop in my Keynote presentation. When viewing the Keynote presentation from within keynote, the movie play perfectly. However when I export the presentation to a Quicktime move, the first or last frame of the embedded movie is black creating a flicker effect on play.
    The quicktime movies have been embedded as loopable animations using the animation build in function 'Start movie' (after transition with 0 delay).
    Is there a setting that will prevent the black frame on export or is this a bug?

  • How do I export video without a black border?

    Hi everybody,
    Hope there are a few altruistic users of Motion out there who can put me on the right track!
    I have just bought Motion 5 - I have used Motion in the past and videos exported perfectly,  with no issues, but now even if I create a custom preset which is simply 1920 x 1080 and 25fps the resulting video has a thick black border and doesn't fill the screen - I'm trying to create backgrounds for titles and need the resotution to match HD video footage. At the moment i have a small area of vidieo in a black space.
    Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
    Thanks!
    John

    Sounds like you need to scale up the video you have. It's not a border. It's just the background; and your video isn't filling the frame.
    Click in the viewer window and hit Shift-Z, to make sure you're seeing the whole canvas frame. Then it should be evident whether your video is filling the frame or not.

  • Super thin black border showing around video when I zoom out or pan the video...

    Hi all,
    I have a video I'm making in Adobe Premier Pro CS5.5. I am using 2 video slots in Premiere Pro's sequence area. A white image is in "Video 1" spot and a video is in"Video 2" spot.
    The white image in "Video 1" slot is the exact same color as the background color of the video in "Video 2" slot.
    The reason for this is when I zoom the video out or pan it slightly off the screen I just want it to look like the video is moving (and I don't want anyone to be able to see the black backdrop that is normal background color on a Premiere Pro video).
    After I go to effects control, and change the position and scale of the video; the video scales out and pans over fine ...however, the border of the video shows slightly ...even flickers a little. Is there a way to get rid of this thin black border line? ..So no one can tell where the video (in "video 2" slot) ends and where that white background I have in "video 1" is ...by removing this flickering border?
    Here's a Screencast of the issue. I point at that thin border I'm talking about when I pan the video over (which reveals the white backdrop):http: Screencast.com/t/45xp0bQ82f
    Thank you so much for any help you can provide. I appreciate it.

  • When exporting, movie always tries to fade to black toward the end

    when exporting, movie always tries to fade to black toward the end. trying to export just one picture, i realize that when exporting multiple pics to a movie it fades to black at the end, but im just doing one pic. settings are as follows, ken burns effect is being used, settings in slideshow, transition are "none". settings in "adjust" show transition as "none" also. this is my first post so hope that this makes sense. thanks.

    wcminor:
    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. I tried to duplicate your settings and exported to a QT movie. The movie did not fade to black at the end. It does fade when played in iPhoto.
    My settings were:
    In the slideshow window:
    Effect: none
    Default transitiion: none
    In the settings pane:
    KB is checked, transition is none.
    It's the same whether there's music or not.
    Do you Twango?
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

  • Black lines not all showing up the same color when exported as any type file

    Hi everyone,
    I could really use some help as this is driving me crazy! Whenever I upload my Illustrator file with my logo online or export my logo as any type of file, certain black lines are lighter than others. I checked in Illustrator by clicking the lines that were showing up different shades when exported and all have the same #000000.
    Does anyone have any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
    Thanks!

    Unfortunately my file is set up like a hot mess. Everything is in the same layer and I should have definitely done multiple ones. This is only the second logo I've designed and I'm learning as I go. Basically I did an image trace of the drawing and then went back and manually fixed lines. Instead of having only a few to select I have many all in the same layer as my color.
    I noticed my vector logo works fine when exported. It's the files where I am resizing it that are coming up in the different colors.

    Why does the new version 5 of firefox show up all the graphics on my web sites with a huge wide black border? They should be narrow and yellow!! I use iWeb for my web sites on an AppleMac iMac 22" wide screen.

    That is unfortunately a bug only in Firefox 5 and will be fixed in Firefox 6 (Aug).
