Black screen automatic synchronisation message??

Hi,
Sometimes my iPhone 4 goes to a black screen with a message asking for automatic synchronisation that I can cancel or accept. I always pressed cancel but now I tried accept to see what it does. It said that it was sending 19 sms messages. What is this function anyway?
Thx

That's when you can install third party apps right? Not that I know. Bought it in an apple store and I certainly didn't jailwhatever it

  • The startup manager loads but cannot display, all i get is a black screen and a message saying No signal

I have a mac mini that was just assigned to me to set up for my team at work to use when they are helping customers who have a mac.  We need to have OS 10.8 and 10.9 on separate partitions, which I have set up.  However when I launch the startup manager (holding option during startup) i get a blank screen and a message saying No Signal. I know the Startup manager has loaded because I can use the arrows to navigate blindly and I can successfully load either partition. I believe that it is a resolution issue.  The monitor I have available can only display in 1440X1080 at 75 hz and I think that the startup manager must be loading at a higher resolution than this.
I have tried clearing P-ram and have searched ceaselessly to find someone who has had this same issue and no one else seems to have it.

I think the Startup screen is 800*600 normally, can you set the Startup partition in Sys Prefs>Startup Disk?

Tried to connect with a blue tooth device. The screen turned black and message said- restart by switching off iMac and contact apple..
Worried the machine has been hacked.

    Hello Cling4
What steps in the article that you came from have you tried to get it to come back up? Also try the article below to see if you can get it to come up on your computer. One last troubleshooting step you can try is to try and restore your iPhone on a different user of your computer.

  • HELP!! BLACK SCREEN, STILL GETTING MESSAGES

I can receive messages because i hear my BBM tone go off, but the LED Light and screen are not responding to any messages or key pad pushes. Please help!!!!

It may be a hardware issue with the screen.  I'd suggest backing up the contents of the device and then contact your carrier if your device is still under warranty.
If you want to thank someone for their comment, do so by clicking the Thumbs Up icon.
If your issue is resolved, don't forget to click the Solution button on the resolution!

  • My iPhone is working fine. Only one question!!! When I click my messages on my main screen, automatically my messages are horizontally on my screen. Usually it's vertically for me to see my messages... But I don't know how to fix the rotation.. Help!!

Hello! I have a question. Unfortunately my phone is being very coherent. So, every time I touch Messages on main screen, it leads me there but my screen is horizontal rather than vertical. How do I fix the rotation to put vertically so I can read my messages? Help please!

It's possible that the orientation is locked in landscape (horizontal) mode. You wouldn't notice that on the home screen as it only displays in portrait (vertical mode) but would see it when you open messages. Open Control Center (on the home screen swipe up with one finger from below the bottom of the screen); orientation lock is at the far right of the top row -- looks like a lock with circular arrow around it. The same icon will display on the menu bard when orientation is locked.

  • IPhone 5 Black screen with weird message and Dismiss Button

I have gotten this a couple times. My iPhone 5 was purchased from an apple store and isn't jailbroken.
Why do I get these and what can I do to stop them?
    Thanks!

Clear your Safari cache in Settings > Safari > Clear History and Clear Cookies and data.
    Change your Apple ID password.
Do a reset (Hold Sleep/Wake and Home buttons about 10 secs or more till Apple logo appears, ignore the Slide to Power Off that appears)
Note: You will not lose any data.

  • Touchsmart PC 300-1120 Blue screen and error messages

My computer turns on and I can access the internet however it will all of sudden kick me off the internet and a blue screen appears that says:  Kernel_data-Inpage-Error and then advises me to remove any new hardware or software.  When I hit enter it goes to a black screen and another message comes up that says Reboot and Select proper boot device but when you hit enter it just repeats and you cannot get out.  Won't even allow me to ctrl-alt-delete to shut down.  Only thing I can do is pull the plug.
Anybody know what sort of error these could be and what can be wrong?  The only new software is Adobe Reader update and looks like Microsoft updates recently.

    Hello Sydberry,
Welcome to the HP Forums, I hope you enjoy your experience! To help you get the most out of the HP Forums I would like to direct your attention to the HP Forums Guide First Time Here? Learn How to Post and More. I have read your post on how your computer enters into a blue screen event, and I would be happy to assist you! To begin, I will need to ask you a few questions:
What is the Product and Model Number of your desktop computer?
What version of Windows do you have installed on your computer?
Has your computer completed all of its important Windows Updates?
Have you updated your HP drivers using the HP Support Assistant?
Is this an on-going, or recent issue?
Is your anti-virus software up to date?
Is the BIOS on your computer up to date?
In the meantime, I recommend following this document on BSOD Kernel Data Inpage Error. This should help identify the root of the blue screen event in relation to kernel error.
Please re-post with the results of your troubleshooting, as well as the requested information above. I look forward to your reply!

  • Boot Camp won't boot Win 7 DVDs /Cloned disks - White cursor flashes once then Black Screen of Death.

    Hi Guys,
I am having a serious issue with my machines ability to use boot camp. Here's what happend: I had Win 7 installed on the BOOTCAMP partition for a long while, then one day my HD crashed. So naturally I got my HD replaced from Apple and got Lion reinstalled and wokring flawlessly. Then I planned to get my Boot Camp going again, but my computer has a will against it I swear.  So I run Boot Camp Assistant , create the parition and reboot. At this point I have my Win 7 disk burned using Disk utility in the drive, I am using a dvd disk image from Microsofts online store.  I reboot and the computer hangs at the "pick a harddrive" grey for a second. Then the DVD drive spins up and I get a black screen, then for ever so slight a moment there is a flash of a white _ a the top left, then flash , nothing, the screen remains illumniated. Now I tried this multiple times , let it run over night , and nothing. Its almost as if my laptop will no longer boot the style of dvd that win 7 is.
Being a diagnostics first type of a person I tested all the variables, the win 7 cd works fine in other macbook pros. My computer boots other mac os x DVDs without a problem.  I also tried using winclone to create a copy of another machines Boot Camp and flash it to my BOOT CAMP drive but this has the exact same result! Therefore it seems that the underlying system that runs my Macs ability to boot from Windows-style? partitions and dvd is broken. I also tried installing rEFIt, but that doesn't seem to help. I also tried booting off of an external USB drive with the same result. I tried zapping p-ram , scm and doing all software updates.
Has anyone expereinced anything like this? Anyone found resolution to a similar issue? Any other tricks related to Macs EFI and boot process that I could use to debug this? Anywhere that EFI stores logs possibly?
I went to the Apple's Genius Bar and they were stumped on my issue. I felt that they should be able to fix it considering it booted fine before I had Apple replace my HD.
Thanks to any responders, I'm really hitting my head on the table now and would love some help.

Have you reset the PRAM? It should usually be done when replacing any hardware. Have you got the latest EFI firmware for your Mac?
Not knowing what model /YEAR your MBP is (not that it would help me too much but the other fellas probably would) it's hard to guess as there are issue's for different models. The only thing I could find was it's usually caused by a non-conforming video driver. Microsoft had a page on it I found by accident and now I can't find it!
WinClone hasn't been updated by the original author in over a year, others have tweeked it a little to work with W7 but seems to be semi reliable, so the be aware.
Unless the other MBP's are identical in Model AND year your putting older or incompatible drivers on your MBP. Boot Camp, (especially if your using the drivers on the original install disks, like 10.6 and earlier) will only install for that specific computer. Just like the OS installer.
    EDIT:
Oh yeah, are you sure you have the partition formatted the right way, thats another black screen problem.

I grasp that your display remains black when you try to power on your notebook. There has been some damage to the display but this has not been an issue before.   This started after the computer had gone into sleep mode.
Here are some links that I think may help.

Computer Starts but Screen Remains Blank (Windows 8)
Troubleshooting Black Screen Displays with No Error Messages During Startup or Boot

  • Black screens when observing controlling outside LAN

My Apple tech guy set up a VPN through our Cisco router and he uses Apple Remote Desktop to flawlessly hop into our system and control/observe.
I need the same abilities so I purchased ARD 3.2, and I have a VPN client configured by the tech guy (so it should work).
From within our LAN I can do everything I want to, but outside the LAN using the VPN client, I cannot observe or control, all I see is a black screen, I can message and I have been told I can move the mouse around, but I get no video.
I have tried from three different broadband connections at all screen qualities.
    Am I missing something?

I had recently begun to have the same problem and have discovered a solution. Turn off jumbo frames.
I had recently upgraded my home network to gigabit and added a NAS. To optimize my transfer speeds I had set my network speed to 1000-full duplex with jumbo frames. Awesome transfer speeds (~38MB/sec.) but only black screens in ARD when controlling from outside my LAN.
So, now I have a script that I can SSH into my box at home and use to change network locations to one that does not use jumbo frames.

  • I had to reboot my iMac, it froze... When I went to reboot it started up as usual... Made power sound, showed apple logo (white screen)... And pin wheel started after 3 to 4 mins., went tblack screen with error messages. Rebooted 5x, won't go paspinwheel

I had to reboot my iMac, it froze... When I went to reboot it started up as usual... Made power sound, showed apple logo (white screen)... And pin wheel started after 3 to 4 mins., went to black screen with error messages. Rebooted 5x, shot off power source, disconnected external devices... Now won't go past pinwheel... Since it does not go to black screen, I cannot convey error messages... Please advise what I could try... Thank you... I have an iMac 2009... Upgrade operating system to new system this spring... Don.

It is guitardad's again... I read past topics on this issue... As I am not overly computer savvy, I want to be careful that I don't mess things up further... Of course the extended warranty is done... There is talk about booting from the system disc...  I'm not sure if this is the first thing to do or not... Can the support community, advise me on what logical steps I should take ( in order) or direct me to a website and/ or you tube video that walks one safely through the processes... Once again thank you for reading and offering your advice... I am on fixed $$$ so I'm trying to avoid calling apple, unless I have no options and/or the suggestions do not resolve the issues... Tx again Don.

  • My iMac 8.1 was slowing down and had permissions problems. I backed everything up, and then re-installed. Now all I get is a black screen. Power+D gives me a hardware error message: HDD-1336. Help!

My iMac 8.1 (10.6.8 ) was slowing down and had recurrent permissions problems, mostly with Java. I backed everything up, and then re-installed from time machine. Now all I get is a black screen which says I need to reboot. Power+D gives me a hardware error message: 4 MOT/1/40000003: HDD-1336 or HDD-1327. When I reboot from the OSX CD and start disc utilities everything checks out OK. When I reload 10.5.2 from the OSX CD everything seems to work OK and no more permissions problems. But then I loose all my email and safari stuff. Anyone have any ideas short of going back to my old PC?

    Hi
Thanks for the help. No point in fooling around with it any more. Will I be able to use it as a monitor if I get a mimi mac?
    Cheers. Don
No unfortunatley it's too old, you are referring to Target Display Mode which became avialble in 2009, your 2008 needs to have the HD replaced. I'd still do that if everything else is OK or you can simply buy a new MM and display or even a new iMac  or an Apple refurbished iMac to save money.

  • TS3297 When I go to the iTunes store, all I get is a black screen. No error message, just won't open. I have tried going to iTunes on another device and it works fine.  Help!

When I go to the iTunes store, it won't open.  I don't receive an error message of any kind, just a blank black screen.  I have tried to access the store on other devices in my home and it works.  All my music shows up in my library, but nothing will show up when I go to the actual store.  I have updated my software and made sure the date/time are correct.  Everything else seems to be working fine on my computer.  Not sure what is going on, but would really appreciate any help you can give. Thanks!

I'm expreriencing the same conditions with the same environment.  Windows 8, iTunes-64 11.1.2.32, iTunes Store with a processing bar up to 80 +/- and the POPUP MESSAGE OF "iTunes stopped working. The error ...."
I UNINSTALLED, iTUNES WITH NO POSITIVE RESULT.  I CHECKED THE FIREWALL AND IS THE SAME DEFINITION AS THE PREVIOUS ITUNES VERSION.
My iTunes StoreS from my iPhones ARE OK.
I'm spending a lot of time of research for WINDOW'S iTUNE with no solutions....
