**bleep** BT BBand **bleep** customer service.

Feb 19 called in after previously reporting BB fault.  have now had 3 line test done.
Told problem inside house.
Feb 22? engineers  came and test line replaced socket and said the fault was in the exchange and said that i would receive a new router and that the case would be open 5 days.
I waited in 3 days for a new router to arrive... Guess what one never arrived.
This was also questioned after this date and i was told one will not be coming.
feb 27 called in as problem still exsisted and they refused to pass me onto complaints.  was told i could get to complaints via teh 150 number, but I could not find away to it.
feb 28th problem still not sorted and spoke to someone who offered me a new contract £25.35 all in the same package.
Why would I want to get a new contract for a faulty line????
(not sure of date.)

I have paid nearly £40 a month for nearly 5 months for a broken service, promised a router and waited in 3 days for it to arrive, wasted hours upon hours trying to get a fault fixed, that your staff have consistantly mis-lead me about and even trying to fob me of with right bad excuses...
£40 x 5 = £200
£80 a day for 3 days = £240
Countless hours wasted on the phone    Ffffing PRICELESS! 15 hours £10 an hour £150
Are you going to compensate me for the mental stress you have put me through?
I have mental health issues and you as a company have pushed me past my limits on more than one occassion.

Bad language is a product of compounded bad customer service.
If in the last four and a half months they had fixed the problem, we wouldn't be typing this on here.
Then there wouldn't be anything bad writen above.
But as the word under those stars and beep isnt actually a bad word, it was just another word for poop.
I dont see what is so bad about it.
Frustration?
Do you mean the frustration caused by asking someone politley to put you through to the complaints department and they refuse to?  So you ask again, and they still wont put you though.
This happened more than once.
Four and a half months is plenty patient.  Dont you think?
As you said the staff on here are far better than the ones on the phone and they have reset my profile and allowed my broadband to work better than 1 meg.
So the most recent compounded problem of the stuck profile has been fixed, now it just leaves the problem in the exchange with throughput to be sorted out now.
The problem I have had for the last 4/5 months.
Question everything or fall victim to authority.

  • **bleep** Poor Customer Service

I was with Verizon for 12 months and would have continued service for at least another year if my current location had Verizon access; however, after trying to deal with a finance issue that involved Verizon creating some sort of phantom account that had my one internet account divided into two individual accounts at close-out (a phone, of which I never had, and internet account, the one account I was only responsible for) I am convinced that I will never acquire their service again.
Out of the 12 people that I spoke to, only 2 were even remotely respectful and concerned that my account was reported to collections for an amount that I was actully owed by Verizon on the account that I paid for 12 months and then owed the same amount to another phantom account that I never aware of.  Unfortunately those two were only able to transfer me to {please keep your posts courteous} who seemed upset with me for pointing out an error that Verizon made on my account.
It was even more sickening when I called the collection company to submit a formal dispute and found out (via undisclosed, but probably recorded, customer service) that when this has happened in the past Verizon took a certain course action to remedy it... This has happened before?!?! Why would a company continue to make the same error and risk the credit report of the customers that it supposedly values?
I quit a job because I thought it begged a lot of questions about my integrity. While I understand that the economy is tough, I question the integrity and social value of all of the less-than-helpful customer service people that addressed me over the phone and the company as a whole.
What I have experienced over the past two days is a complete disregard for paying customers, and what I am sure is customers overall. I no longer have any regard for Verizon and the people it chooses to represent them, although I cannot speak on VerizonWireless.
Let's not even start on the hoops and other digital malarkey I had to endure just to speak to a real person-- ironically, people who were just as useless. Verizon, you may be able to cultivate new customers via your deals and targeted marketing efforts, but you might want to work on actual stewardship that doesn't fall on the shoulders of your CSR department (another marketing ploy).

I HAVE BEEN ON HOLD FOR 39.29 WITH "SUPPORT" THIS IS THE WORST TECH SUPPORT ON THE PLANET!!!! HOW CAN A CORP AS LARGE AS THIS HAVE SUCH P*** POOR COMMUNICATION WITH THEIR CUSTOMERS?? IT IS NOW 42 MINUTES! I AM TOTALLY FRUSTRATED WITH THIS CRAP. i AM GOING BACK TO COX.

  • Yet Another Customer Service Complaint

For at least the past ten years, I have been a Verizon Wireless customer, & until recently, I have never had an issue with the company. Their plans have great pricing, the coverage in my area is impeccable, & the representatives in the store have always been more than willing to meet customer satisfaction.
Until recently, that is. Last year, I upgraded my phone to the LG Rival, after my LG EnV was clearly out of date & useless to me. This is where the issues begin. Clearly, like any young adult, I purchased the insurance on the phone since accidents & loss are bound to happen. By the time summer rolled around, my Rival was having extreme software issues, due to no fault of my own. The phone would often freeze, the screen would glitch out, resembling a TV static screen, the phone would underline random words in red, it wouldn’t hold a charge, the phone would shut off or restart itself for no reason or in the middle of a text or phone call,  or it would completely shift the screen to the left or right so that only half of the screen was visible.
I took it into the store of course & was informed that the insurance program had switched over to Asurion, & I would have to file a claim with them & wait the specified number of days for a new [aka refurbished] phone to arrive in the mail. Fine, I could deal with that, three days wasn’t too long of a wait to continue to deal with the piece of crap I was holding in my hand.
My refurbished phone arrived, I shipped the old one back to them, & all seemed well. Until two weeks later, when the refurbished phone started showing the same symptoms as the first. First the charge started failing to hold. Next came the shutting off & restarting, followed by the screen shifting. Once again, I returned to the store. Went through the same motions, filed the claim, waited three days, & was once again gifted with a refurbished version of the EnV.
Can you guess what was happening two weeks later? I’m sure you can. I went through this five times. *Five*. By the fifth time, they were completely disregarding what information I was giving them in the store, & had simply started shipping a new battery pack. Through November & December, I was in the store every few days, sometimes multiple times a day, seeing as I was not the primary phone holder or account holder. I was continually given attitude, shifted from person to person, & blown off.
I’m used to this kind of treatment. I’m a twenty-one year old female with a mohawk, facial piercings, & tattoos. In the beginning, never once was I rude, irate, or anything other than courteous, laying out my plight in brief & to-the-point conversations, & simply asking for help. Towards the end, I had started making it clear that I was sick of being [Edited to comply with Terms of Service] around, that I was a long-standing customer who until recently had no issues with their service, & that I expected the situation to be remedied. What kind of service was I paying for anyways?
It finally boiled down to I could either cancel my contract early, having to pay the fees, or I could buy a new phone at my own expense. My mother, who is the account owner, had finally had just as much as I had, & went into the store with me. Just as I had before, she laid out our problems, was calm with a business-like manner, & wouldn’t you just know it, she was treated much more receptively than myself & offered a different array of options. We ended up using the up-grade available on her line to acquire a Kin-Two for myself, since the available free Wi-Fi at hot spots was something that would [hopefully] end some of the hidden fees I had been receiving with my Rival. We extended our contract & once again purchased insurance on the device.
A little over a month ago, on January 19th, we were once again hit with a larger-than-expected bill due to data charges. I will accept this as my fault; a little too much status-updating. She called customer service to have a data plan added to my phone. All should be just fine, correct?
On February 4th, I was at a club with some friends & my phone was misplaced. Whether it was taken, slipped from my pocket, sat down somewhere, the reason is irrelevant. Point is I didn’t have it. We contacted Ansurion to file the claim, & they would not accept it. According to their records, on January 19th, the insurance on my phone was canceled, the same day we had the data plan put on it. We were told to contact Verizon. After doing so, we were informed that they couldn’t name the representative for us who canceled the insurance, because their system does not keep those kind of records. Now began the telephone shifting, from one representative to another as they very nearly refused to let us speak to a supervisor as requested. All we wanted was the insurance reinstated on the phone so that I could get another Kin-Two.
They informed us that they no longer sold the Kin-Twos, nor did they have any refurbished ones in stock. They said that if they re-instated the insurance [which we would have to pay for] they couldn’t guarantee what phone would be sent, but that I would receive a new phone. No, I didn’t want to be sent a phone that would require a data plan simply to work, nor did I want some outdated phone that would just continue to glitch out a few weeks after receiving, as was clearly the issue in the past. They recommended we call our local store to see if they had any Kin-Twos in stock.
Guess what our final options were? After speaking to the representative there, we were told that we could either purchase a new Kin-Two in the store at $430. Excuse me? I only paid $75 for the phone to begin with. Next option. I could wait until May when another of the lines under our names was eligible for an upgrade. Going four months without a phone? Not happening. Or, we could purchase a different phone, once again at our own expense.
I will admit that by this point, the two of us were pretty peeved. We asked what the cost would be to simply cancel the contract & take our business else where. $95 to cancel just my line, $365 to cancel all three lines. Both options were cheaper than buying a new phone, new insurance & extending my contract once again. Now, I know what some of you out there are thinking.
“You were given multiple options to work with, & you chose to disregard each option.”
With the experience & treatment I have received in the past year, & how often I have had to threaten to cancel my contract in order to receive any kind of help what-so-ever, so be it. I would rather pay $95 dollars & take my business elsewhere - say MetroPCS or Cricket where you can get unlimited everything for less than $50 a month. I’m not going to make my family suffer through the cancellation fees & start-up fees elsewhere since they both adore their phones & have no issues with them.
That doesn’t mean that I am not greatly **bleep** off, insulted, & dissatisfied with what I have had to deal with. I don’t know exactly what policy changes have been made within the company from recent mergers & such, but the website’s claim of “Expect the best customer service at every turn from our employees,” is complete & utter rubbish. The customer service we have dealt with in the past few months has been nothing but, & excuse my French, complete **bleep**.
I *will* be cancelling my contract & taking my business elsewhere, & you can bet I will be informing anyone thinking of switching to Verizon of my experience. Friends of mine have been dropping Verizon left & right due to the fact that just because you offer great coverage & plans, doesn’t mean that you can treat the people paying you their money each month like trash. For those who continue to adore Verizon, just wait.

Absolutely Horrible Customer Service - both in the store and the 800 number.
My phone quit working - not my fault. I was suppose to get a replacement overnight and if for some reason it didn't arrive overnight, I was assured that it would be delivered Saturday. Today is Monday, no phone. They put the wrong address on the shipping form and they don't know when I will get it.
They won't send another one because there is a phone out there and they have to get it back first. They know I don't have it. Ridiculous!
Why don't they have replacement phones in the store. Option 1: phone breaks, go to store and get replaced same day. Option 2: phone breaks, wait for phone to arrive in mail and hope it is the next day. One is more convenient for the customer and the other is more convenient for Verizon. Seriously - It's not brain surgery.
The lack of concern among the 3 Verizon employees I spoke with was unbelievable. "This is just the way we do things. There is nothing I can do to help you." The store manager doesn't know how Verizon's replacement service works or how long it takes for them to notify FedEX to correct the delivery mistake and get the phone to me! "I can't control FedEX." No but you're the reason they delivered the phone to the wrong address. Rep had the nerve to tell me he would "correct the address mistake IF I wanted him to." Under what circumstance would I not want him to????? Absolutely, no acceptance of responsibility!!!
Cell phone companies should not be allowed to require two year contracts but should have to provide month to month service. They KNOW they don't have to treat you well or provide service with these long term contracts. They know you have no recourse.

  • FIOS CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST AND I AM NOT INSTALLED YET FOR NEW SERVICE!!

So on May 20th I signed up for the triple play service for 59.99 with 2 year agreement with 4 tvs being installed with equipment, home phone service and internet/wifi. On May 25th I realized that I needed to change 3 of the boxes on my order to different ones so I called the 1800 verizon number and spoke with a woman agent who said she was able to make the changes and also wanted to verify on my order that I am getting everything that I am entitled to as a new customer to Fios so I told her okay. Never did this incompetent woman tell me that she was changing my ENTIRE ORDER. At the end of the call she said she made the changes to the equipment and gave me a confirmation number for the change.
Today May 26th memorial day, I receive an email from Verizon confirming the changes that they said I made to my ENTIRE PLAN AT 2:46PM. She cancelled out my original order I placed online and switched it to another plan that was much higher at 79.99 with additional services I did not request and the EQUIPMENT WAS NEVER CHANGE, the whole reason for my call. After reading the email and going back to the original email I received after placing my order on May 20th I called Verizon customer service. The woman I spoke to, again incompetent and unsympathetic to the situation  couldn't tell me why my order was change. She couldn't tell me anything and was silent the most of the **bleep** time. (Don't these people work for the same company, she should have been able to see exactly what went on in her system.)
When she did speak she said she was reviewing what was different from the last order. I said there is only ONE order that I placed and the only changes that I wanted was for the equipment. She didn't say anything after that. So after almost 10 minutes of silence, I said well at this point are you able to make the necessary changes to change me back to the original plan I signed up for with the correct equipment I needed. She told me NO, plain out.
Are you kidding me! I never authorize the change of my package, only to the equipment and your telling me you can't do nothing about it. The woman showed no type of empathy for the situation, nor apologize on behalf of Verizon and the lady who screwed up my family order. It was like she didn't care and then said If I want to cancel the order she couldn't do that and that I would have to call back tomorrow May 27th and do so. (Shouldn't a customer service agent do whatever they could to KEEP YOU as a customer and not send you to cancel the order...big problem)  I haven't been with verizon for many many years and thought I should give you people a try. The way this initial contact with this company has been has truly set the tone of how these people/company will treat me and my family for the next 2 years. This transaction has not been smooth and not somehting that I would rave about to my friends/co workers/community, I will tell them to NOT choose this company. I see now that Verizon customer service agents will add what ever they want to your account that you didn't authorize, tell you lies and not correct anything that they are at fault of.

  • Update to STB created a brick and poor customer service

    To whom it may concern,
I honestly have lost all faith in Verizon FIOS and will start pricing to replace your service first thing in the morning. This evening I spent 1.5 hours on the phone trying to get my set top box fixed. This was a total waste of my time when I could have been taking care of a cancer patient or myself for that matter, something I get very little time to do. Below you will see what my issue is and what I think of your customer support and how you feel about your "clients".
Recently there was an update to the STB as was emailed out to me a few days ago. As soon as this update occured I noticed that the tv likes to reset itself and Im talking a crap ton. First it started off 1-2 times daily and now its 10-15 per hour if it doesnt just get stuck in the cycle of turning on and turning off. I decided to make the call to tech support who is utterly worthless. After spending 20 minutes trying to even get through your automated support I finally got a "person" on the phone who can do nothing more than read a screen. I explained what the issue was for her to go well I will mail you a new box out, it should be there within a week. I explained that is a no go as I actually like to use my tv and the service that I pay for, not it around for a week waiting for decent customer support. I was told that the stores dont carry the box I need and this was the only way. Every time I asked a question I would get the woman hissing through her teeth like she was better than anyone else. I asked to speak to a supervisor who about 15 minutes later came on the phone and said that the stores do carry boxes but it was not the new ones and I would be charged a $9.99 restocking fee. Literally I bust out in laughter at that because it was your update that caused this issue, not negligence on my part. She said that it didnt matter, that it is a nation wide fee and if I dont like it tough. I asked how is it that the stores dont carry the box I need seeing as I live in the mostly densly populated part of this country. She had no answer what so ever and recommended I speak to billing to see if they could reverse the fee. So yet again I sit on hold for another 10 minutes . This time it was we do have the boxes, there is a fee, no we will not remove the fee and its all the old equipment, not the new STB. I asked to speak to this womans supervisor to which she said no. I kindly told her I do not need to hear anything else from here and to put a supervisor on the phone. I get placed on hold for another 5 minutes for her to come back and tell me she is then bringing a supervisor on the phone and placed me on hold again. 30 seconds later she comes back and goes sorry no supervisor, it will be a 20-30 minute wait. Again I just burt out in laughter and asked how 30 seconds ago she was transferring me and now that person was magiically not available.  I asked that she find a supervisor to which she just hung up on me. Total time lost over an hour. I call back yet again to get similar **bleep** stories of how its not their issue for a restocking fee even though they caused the issue blah blah blah. This time I was offered a "free" mailing label and I could go rent another box and then mail back the old box.
Frankly all of this is a joke and you people should be ashamed of yourselves . I have had better customer service speaking to people that dont even speak English. How is it you even begin to charge people a restocking fee for going to a store to replace your faulty equipment due to your own engineers messing it up. What exactly do I play over $100 a month for?!?!?! How is it you hire reps that can do nothing more than read a screen and supervisors that talk down to you? I have been with FIOS since it first came to my area and immediately signed up. I am now having some serious doubts as the customer service used to be 8/10 and is now -5/10. I frankly do not have the time or money to waste on a company that does not care about customers let alone do what is right to fix the issue that you started. Heck while typing this right now, the box reset its self over 10 times which would probably be a total of 75-100 resets today alone. Tomorrow morning when I wake up I will be calling cox cable as well as visiting Tmobile to transfer my plan. You surely do not care about your customer base and only want new customers so why not screw the longstanding subscriber over. How long do you think you will get away doing business like this. At this point Time Warner cable has a leg up on you when it comes to customer service. Yes their channel line ups suck but at least their equipment as well as Cox's works, its more than I can say for you.

  • What a dumb customer service!!!! and where the heck is my payment?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am so furious right now to the point my whole body is shaking and I feel dizzy!
I've been mailing out the check for $55 every month on 1st or 2nd of each month for past 2, 3 years now.
I don't get statements in mail, so I typed one page with the accountholder's name, address, account number and payment address. This check for $55 is issued by my work, so what I do every month is that as soon as I receive the check, I print out this little page with all the information, I staple the check to the page and mail out to the payment address listed under Contact Us on Verizon wireless website.
My due date is 21st of each month. As I mentioned above, I mail out the check either on 1st or 2nd of each month, which means the check should be arrived, processed, cleared from the bank, and credited to my account before my due date.
I don't have the entire record, but I can see the payment history for past 12 month from my verizon wireless online and this check for $55, although I've been mailng out on a very regular basis, it has been posted to my account very irregularly.
Sometimes, it gets credited to my account before the 10th. Sometimes, it gets credited sometime before my due date. Sometimes, it gets credited way after my  due date. Sometimes, it gets cleared from the bank, but doesn't even get credited to my account. Every month, I have to closely monitor whether this month's check has been cleared and credited for this account.
If this happens to many accountholders, I would not be this frustrated.
I have a coworker who gets the same check from the work and mail out on the same day to VERIZON WIRELESS. Okay? Mark this. Same amount of check issued by the same bank goes to the same payment address by mail (same postal service). Difference? Her due date is 11th and mine is 21st. Another difference? Her payment gets credited in few days and well before her due date. Mine takes forever and ever and sometimes lands on a wrong account.
I called the customer service today to see where my check is and why it has not been cleared yet. The customer service, Jose, was so rude and raising his voice saying that it might have been the post office at fault. And then, he was asking if I wrote a wrong address or anything. Hello~ I TYPED the freaking payment address and my account number and saved in my computer. You've been getting my check with no problem for the past 2, 3 years now, so I'M SO SURE THAT IT'S NOT THE POST OFFICE WHO'S AT FAULT!!!! On top of it, I'm not calling to figure out whom to blame.
Then, I talked to the supervisor, Eric. Hey, if you are the supervisor, you should be able to give me more than the same lame lines that JOSE was giving me.  Don't say that I've been mailing my check to the lockbox and you don't have the contact number. I've been sending my check to the freaking lousy lockbox and so have my coworker. She doesn't have the same problem that I have. Even if the lockbox doesn't have the contact number and a live person in, there is the department in which they process the payment, right? You should contact them to figure something out! You should provide a CUSTOMER SERVICE. What part of CUSTOMER SERVICE don't you get as a SUPERVISOR? I am YOUR CUSTOMER! and I, the CUSTOMER, hereby request a  SERVICE that I am entitled to!
What did you just say? SUPPRESSING the late charges? Hey, Eric, Look!. I  mailed out the check on 1st of August! I'm sure it doesn't take more than three days to be delivered from Los Angeles to Dallas. When I mailed out the check even before you generated my bill, how dare you to even mention the LATE CHARGE? It is NOT my ****** problem that you have a lousy system to process the check. You better fix the **bleep** problem.
You'd better keep your word and call me back with answers to all the questions (about irregular postings to my account, what's been causing the delay, etc) by TUESDAY.
What? Suppressing the late charges is all you can do for me? I just wasted my 40 minutes holding the call, and not getting all the answers I wanted, and dealing with non-sense ridiculous customer service and that's all you can do? You should waive my payment. You should give me like 1000 min credit.
I've been using the Verizon Wireless for almost 5 years and I'm seriously disappointed at the level of customer service you provided and the way you are handling this matter and not providing a good reason why you are messing up with my payment.

I can understand that the situation is infuriating, but the anger is misplaced. To start, it is very bad practice to not have a direct way to view whether the check you are sending had been cashed. While it gives the appearance of being convenient, you are setting yourself up for a nightmare when you do not, first, deposit the funds and issue your own method of payment. Secondly, the fact that it was not applied to the account does not necessarily mean that Verizon Wireless is at fault. You cannot determine this absolutely until you confirm that the check had been cashed by VZW, which, again, is going to be difficult to impossible because you are sending a check from a third party. The likelihood that it was lost in the mail should not seem shockingly preposterous. Matter of fact, people use this excuse because it is a very plausible scenario. It is essential to know whether the check was cashed by VZW, if it was, then they can go through the steps to find it; if, however, it was not, then it is something you will want to get reissued.
My advice is to follow the approach listed above, but, more so, eliminate the overly emotional reactions so that the matter can be addressed in a logical way.

  • How to place a customer service complaint

    Hello,
I will start of by stating that I have never before felt this way about someone who I have worked with at a Verizon store. .Today I went into a Verizon store looking to understand why my bill seemed high. I wanted to find ways to make the bill smaller without cutting too many corners... The customer service representative who "helped" us was so rude. She seemed uninterested in helping me, and she literally started to talk to another customer while we were there discussing my bill. She had a poor-negative-couldn't-be-bothered attitude which was entirely inappropriate for customer service and as I said I was just disgusted with her. How can I place a complaint? I did catch her name on her name tag.  Also I realize that maybe we weren't priority customers because we were looking to spend less money but seriously in this economy who isn't? Don't go into customer service if you can't handle working with people.
    Thanks!
    K

Customer Service isn't any more helpful I'm afraid.   I was in a store purchasing a new phone for my daughter 'again' and they wouldn't let me add the charges to my account.  I've paid all my bills on time, i've been loyal, and i've brought my parents onto my account thus bring Verizon more business.  I was confused but swallowed my pride and used my Amex to pay for the equipment.  Now with iphones going for 49 bucks at AT&T, we've been debating - researching - reading every forum available and one member of our family decided to upgrade to the iphone 4 with Verizon - it would've been an easy sell had he been allowed to add the charges to the account BUT the restriction is still on my account - I had no clue what the restriction was - Customer Service said they couldn't talk about it.  I know my rights and threatened legal action - I have a right to know if my account has a mark against it.  After continual debate and threats, the representative stated that my account is highly used, thus putting me as 'high risk' thus putting a restriction that won't allow me to charge purchases onto my account.  I'm a good customer but I can't have any perks because we use our account so much?  Now i'm thoroughly confused.  A representative at AT&T laughed and said they've heard of those restrictions before.
I was never notified about such a status, nor am i pleased at having to bully a representative into telling me about it.  They refused to submit such information in writing when I asked them to mail it to me.
With iphone 5 coming out this summer and AT&T improving their coverage, I'm shocked that Verizon would have such penalties for good standing customers.  It's one thing to **bleep** off a customer who misses payments and only makes up the tiniest percentage of sales but to **bleep** off a customer that has never hesitated to purchase new equipment and accessories AND STILL keep paying my bills on time?
It's doutbful that i'll be a Verizon customer much longer.  AT&T assures me that such penalties are not common practice at their company.

  • Verizon Customer Service and Samsung Galaxy S III

A little over 3 weeks ago I purchased a Samsung Galaxy III phone from Verizon.
    The exact store is:
    224 North Weber Road,
    Bolingbrook, IL 60440
    (630) 226-4660
When I purchased the phone the person who sold me the phone told me that I had 30 days, If I was not completely satisfied with the phone I could return it and get my money back.  However, he assured me that I would LOVE my new phone.
I had just come off using a Blackberry for 4 years with no problems AT ALL!  I loved that phone, but I thought it would be nice to get up to the 21st century phone standards and get a touch screen phone.  Well, I went for the best…… or so I thought.
As soon as I got my new phone in the car, I started using the speaker phone hands free.  The speakerphone began to cut in and out and the person, my husband whom I most speak with could not understand what I was saying.  I used the speakerphone on my Blackberry without issue.  I did not think much of it because I was so happy to have my new phone.  I thought maybe I was just in a bad area etc… Well the issue persisted also when I called my bank, my husband’s mother, my mother and it did not matter where I was the speaker phone did not work properly.  Then my phone started to drop calls.  Again, I thought it may have been the area, but it started happening a lot.  So now I was really beginning to wonder.  Having though I was still under the 30 DAY warranty, I gave it a few more days.  I began having to take out the battery to reset the unit because apps where disappearing and when I went to re-install them the unit indicated that app was already on my phone and wanted to know if I would like to uninstall the app.  I had to once again take out the battery and have the unit restart.  Well, I could not take it anymore.  With all of the things going wrong only a couple of weeks after purchase, I had to go into the store and see what they could do for me.  I went in and explained my situation to the manger who was greeting people at the door, I think her name was Katie or something like that.  She put me in line on her IPad just like everyone else for someone to assist me.  I was assigned to a very pleasant associate who took the battery out of my phone and said try this to see if this works for you.  I, not knowing very much about the technology said ok and walked out of the store.  Well it kept on getting worse.  I went back to the store on Sunday, September 30th 2012 asking for my money back or a new replacement for the phone.   They would not assist me. I started with a regular associate and went up the chain finally getting Katie (the store manager) who repeated everything that everyone else said.  So, obviously, she has no managerial skills at all.   She stated that they would have to totally reset my phone to see if some apps where conflicting etc.  Isn’t that what you purchase a Smartphone for??? To put apps on it and calendars etc.  I just downloaded a calendar and Xfinity because that is what I have my e-mail on.  I don’t’ think that was the issue, but you could not tell Katie anything.
I wanted a new phone replacement or money back as I spent $300.00 dollars on this phone.  She would not have it.  She said we have to go through the proper trouble shooting because I was out of the 14 day return policy!!!!.   OMGsh 14 days????  I was told 30!  Had I known this, I would have gotten my money back the first time I took the phone in for the issues I was having.  At that time, I was still under the 14 day policy!  I proceeded to express my opinion to everyone in the store stating “Don’t buy a Samsung Galaxy III” They are pieces of **bleep**. Well, needless to say Katie did not like that and she set my phone down in front of me and said, if I am going to swear, she is not going to help me.  Ok, then I re-worded my statement to tell everyone in the store “Don’t buy a Samsung Galaxy III they are pieces of garbage”  I cleaned it up a little, but still got my point across.  I also told her that I would blog about it and send a letter to the corporate office of both Samsung and Verizon.  I don’t think that she believed me, but here I am taking my time for this stuff.  Time I don’t have much of, but I feel very strongly about this situation.  I was lied to and Katie had the nerve to tell me that if I get a replacement phone from them, it would be a refurbished unit even though I just purchased the unit 3 weeks earlier.  THAT is unacceptable by any standards!!!
Needless to say I left the store totally dissatisfied with Verizon’s customer service and the Samsung Galaxy III phone.  I have not put any unusual apps on my phone nor have I downloaded a new calendar to my phone and I am still having the same issues with dropped calls and bad speaker phone.  I will not put any time into this phone for them to tell me they need to reset the whole darn thing again!  I am not going to bother going back to that Verizon store, because I know that they will not lift a finger to do anything about it.
My husband wants an IPhone 5.  We will not be purchasing this from Verizon and I will probably eat the cancellation fee and go through AT&T so that my husband can get his IPhone.  I will never purchase another thing from Verizon, this is not the first time that that they have let me down.
I hope that this letter, blog, facebook, YouTube note will open some eyes with regard to Verizon customer service and the Samsung Galaxy III phone.  I don’t know if it will, but with social media as it is, I hope it DOES!
    Thanks for nothing Verizon!!!
    Sincerely
    Donna {edited for privacy}

  • Worst customer service experience I have ever had.

I have never felt so disrespected by a company in my entire life. Their customer service is beyond terrible, as anyone can see by reading the various posts from frustrated customers on this forum.
I ordered a laptop on November 30th as a present for a family member's birthday but, when I saw that the shipping date would be later than than the actual birthday, I emailed them to cancel the order. Most modern companies give you a cancel option right on the site but not Lenovo ... you have to email them. Fine (I thought), it's a little less convenient but what the heck? I then called the next day to confirm the cancellation, just to make sure, and was told that the cancellation would probably be processed the next week, on tuesday, and that I would get an email to confirm. That email never came. I called back a couple of days later and a different rep told me that they were still waiting for the warehouse to confirm the cancellation and that it could still take a couple of days. Ok, fine, I guessed I would have to wait a bit but it would surely go through in time since the cancellation process was started almost immediately after the order. I didn't receive any other emails so I emailed again, and again ... and again and never once got a reply. I even emailed one of the reps I spoke to on the phone directly since she gave me her own direct email address (a nice gesture, I thought ...) but she never replied, either. Then, to my surprise, I find out that they actually shipped the unit on December 5th, even though my account must've been full of notes detailing my various emails and calls (if they even keep those on record like any reputable company would but... who knows?). I finally receive the **bleep** laptop by mail after all this! Like all the calls and emails had been completely ignored! I suppose they do this on purpose, betting that the customer will be too lazy to return it.
I start chargeback proceedings with my credit card company just to make sure I don't get screwed but I cancel them when I see that they finally replied to my request for a return label (the first, last and only reply I ever got from them) so I cancel the chargeback, thinking that this crappy experience will soon be over.
They received the unit on December 30th. I never even opened the box it came in, so I know it's 100% working and not damaged so their should be no delay caused by their quality check. Still, here we are, January 10th and no refund. Still not getting any replies to my emails either. Calling them is, of course, useless since you either can't get through, are transferred to another department that has no clue on the issue, are told they will get in touch with you later or to just wait for calls and emails that never come. Meanwhile, I’m paying interest on a purchase I cancelled minutes after the order, not the mention the initial charge still on my account. So now I have no laptop, they have my money and any attempt to reach them is ignored.
Now I have to write this long and boring post on a public forum just to get a reply (I see that hey at least reply to these, sometimes ...). I am way beyond the end of my rope here so, if anyone from lenovo reads this, get in touch with me NOW so we can finally resolve this matter.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

They finally e-mailed me yesterday, telling me that they will check with their billing department and get back to me. The thing is, they told me the same thing over the phone and in the support chat before and they never ever get back to me. We are now well beyond the regular delay for a refund so isn't this outright theft, at this point? What do I do? Call the cops? Get a lawyer? I'm afraid to issue a chargeback because people have been screwed before with lenovo refunding them way late, causing the cc company to reverse the chargeback and then Lenovo, being brain dead as they are and thinking the chargeback still went through, cancelled the refund, leaving the client with no money and no product.
I hope potential customers will read this forum and avoid Lenovo like the plague. Lenovo really are a bunch of heartless crooks.

  • GT784WNV not working in Bridge Mode! Fed up with lack of Customer Service

I don't even know where to start but I am this close to just cancelling Verizon and switching to cable internet.  If you want to skip the rant, jump down a paragraph.
I recently moved from a house a few miles away in which I had a solid DSL connection with a Westell 7500 in routed bridge mode that worked just fine with my Asus RT-N56U that I use for browsing, streaming, and online gaming.  When I moved, the technician insisted I take the newer Actiontec GT784WNV.  Needless to say, Verizon support was unsuccessful in getting it set up in bridge mode.  After about 4 hours of unsuccessful troubleshooting, I suggested swapping it back out with my 7500 which worked fine just 4 days prior in my old house.  Surprise!  It miraculously started working just as it had previously.  As I began to use it more, I noticed the connection was unstable.  I would get dropped from Xbox Live and lose connection temporarily on my iPad.  I ran the Verizon speed test and it would drop to about 0 and spike back up 3 or 4 times during the download test (don't think this is normal but could be).  Every day I would talk to Verizon who escalated it to a supervisor about 4 times.  They would then close the ticket without calling me.  When i would follow up, I was told the supervisor talked to me and I verified the connection was good.  Lying makes me livid and there is no accountability whatsoever at Verizon and it happened more than once.  It appears to be a way for them to pass the problem on to someone else.  I can go on and on about being put on hold for 40 minutes before disconnected, the 20+ hours I have spent re-telling my account info and story to every Tier 1 technician on their payroll for the past week, or the lack of competent customer service supervisors.  This weekend, I finally got a call from someone local who said my line had some faults on it and that the problem was somewhere between my jack and the central office and they would send someone out today.  Well....today the tech showed up and said "your problem is this old modem" and plugged in the Actiontec that I started with a week ago.  I asked if he tested my line or the jack as the lady on the phone told me, and he said no.  The problem is the modem.  I said, I don't want a modem/router, I just want a regular modem and he said he had one, but it would cost me.  How on earth is a plain modem going to cost me when they just installed an 802.11n router/modem combo for free?  Absolutely terrible.  I told him I want it in bridge mode because I don't want to use the wireless or the routing capabilities of the Actiontec.  He said I have to do that and people normally just call Best Buy to have the Geek Squad come out.  This really **bleep** me off as I used to run a network shop and configure Cisco routers and switches for a living.  Once again, I have spent the past 6 hours tonight on the phone with Verizon only to end up back where I started.
At this point, I need to make this Actiontec GT784WNV a dummy (bridge) and let my Asus Rt-N56U do the work on my network.  My Asus has all the port forwarding in place that I need for Xbox Live, etc.  I have tried releasing the IP, changing the modem to RFC 1483 Transparent Bridging, disabling DHCP, changing the LAN IP to 192.168.99.1, etc. and it just will NOT get an internet connection.  My router is configured correctly, unless there is something different between the Westell and the Actiontec that would require a setting change.  Verizon is stumped, Asus hasn't called me back yet, and I am ready to just switch to Cable unless someone can help with a solution.  I've been at this for a week.  I have spent WAYY too much time fighting with a company that has no desire to deliver or to follow through and with absolutely zero accountability or business sense.  Westell 7500 + Asus RT-N56U in old house worked fine.  Move houses, change modem, doesn't work, switch back to old modem, works but unstable, tech claims old modem is my problem, plugs in new modem, doesn't work.  I just want to use my router.  How hard can that be?  Can anyone please help?

Unfortunately that didn't work.  I ended up putting my router in the DMZ as a workaround but it still had it's share of issues.  After another week of trying to get Verizon to fix my connection (constant dropped connections forcing reboots of modem and router multiple times daily) I had Cable Internet installed today.  Went from an unstable 6Mb/s to a stable 30Mb/s with Cable.  I should have done this weeks ago.  I wasted over 50 hours of my time with Verizon bouncing my issue around to others hoping someone else would be willing to fix it.  Still no accountability with everyone tinkering with my setup taking a stab in the dark.  The last person I spoke with set up a technician to come to my house later this week...AGAIN because he said there is something wrong on the line.  I've known that for weeks but the tech that refused to fix my issue when he was in my house last week instead tried blaming it on something completely irrelevant because he had no clue what to do.  One would think someone from Verizon would have reached out to me from this thread but they did not.  In fact, the last tech's supervisor called me when i wasn't home, said "hello, this is XXX from Verizon......hello?"  and hung up.  Never a follow up as I was left once again to solve the problem myself.  Well...I did.  The incompetence of Verizon, it's poor training, and awful follow up procedures has cost them a customer. I am truly disappointed.

  • Bt Infinity and the Lack of Customer Service

    Hi all,
I have been sitting patiently waiting for my area to become connected to BT Infinity. According to the map on the BT products and services site, this should have happened on 31st December. I keep checking regularly and no updates.
So today, I took my life in my hands and went to the online customer 'service' where of course I was routed through to the call centre in India. I asked my question, IE when will it be coming. I explained my reason for asking..... and all I got quoted back was that it isn't available and they will let me know. Errr yes, I know that I explained.
For the love of God could we please bring customer services back to the UK where a basic understanding of questions and answers is available? If this was a one off with the call centres then I would be more understanding, but lets face it. It isn't a one off. When I say things like this, I get the nasty little devil on my shoulder whispering that I am some kind of heinous racist. I'm not.... I just want to be able to communicate with someone who understands the question and has the ability to say 'I don't know but I'll find out' as an answer. Rather than reading from a script and saying thankyou every other word..
    Grrrrr fume fume.
So I thought I would send a complaint via the website. Guess what, the link for the customer service manager takes me back to exactly the same place I went to get the help in the first place.
    I give up.

    Hi there
I don't want be a moaning minnie but I have to agree about the appalling BT Customer service. I had Infinity installed (quickly) 3 weeks ago. There is a problem with my throughput so my download speed is less than 2 MB/s. Dealing with BTIndia is like being trapped in an endless Kafka play. Polite, apologetic and UTTERLY USELESS!!!! 21 days of being passed from department to department, have my case "escalated" to a higher level (how many levels of escalation are there anyway?) and nothing is done. Endless pointless promises unfullfilled. The irritating dire quality of this so-called "Support" has long since supassed the irritation caused by the initial fault. IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM DON'T PROMISE THAT YOU CAN!!!!!
I pray that you have a faultless installation and service because you sure as **bleep** don't want to deal with their "Customer Service"
Sorry. Are you picking up a certain degree of frustration?
    Good Luck
    Mark

  • HP customer service stinks. It is not what it used to be...

I am having to write this again but I think it's well worth letting people know.
I paid for an expensive HP Pavilian DV 5000Z in 2006 customized with a expansion base total was $1300. Pricey stuff but I said I also wanted the good customer service that HP supposedly had.
Well it was pretty good because in the first month the optical drive I designed died.
That notebook would still be working well for me (I added a 1 gig memory stick about three years later) but all my high end electronics were stolen in a burgarly Jan. 13, 2012.
It was a tough hit. Like a fool, though, I bought a busienss probook 4530s with an intel 5 and two months to the day on March 24 the hard drive died. Then these bums could only send me a new hard drive an expect me to install it. Mind you I can hardly understand the guy from India all these calls for help are outsourced that is number one problem. Then when the item arrived, the screw was  missing for me to remove (gee maybe that's why the hard drive went so fast) I baby my computer equpment, otherwise a 2006 Pavilian wouldn't be going strong in 2012
anyway I called again and begged please just send me a new notebook. Something is wrong with this one.
The so-called customer servicd woman "Fernanda" in Costa Rica blew me off. Best she could do is have my notebook send away for a **bleep** five to seven days and I am losign money.
I use this  notebook for business.
i had to turn down an order ffom Sweden and now what the hell am i to do?
The lesson here is that HP has gone downhill. I wish I neve rbought another HP ever I could have gotten an intel-5 or 7 even from Sony, or Toshiba.
Never again and I am writing this as a warning to everyone. This is not the same cmopany it used to be.
I despise how they've treated a good customer who has bought THREE THREE THREE printers from them over the years, an expabnsion base for $240 and an extra adapter and a notebook case that was expensvie not like these cheap pvc things.
They know the price of everything, the value of nothing.
any company that can't see fit to treat a customer like me better isn't worth anyone's time.
I want to return this, and get a notebook from sony or toshiba.
You suck HP. You may have been good way back when but the stress I've been through and am going through now because of you {Content Removed} isn't worth it.

  • Poor Customer Service Lenovo Customer Care

    Hi,
Honestly, I do not know that I would even get a response to this or not, cuz that has been my experience with Lenovo, Please look at the following for better understanding of my mindset:
---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Malwinder Singh <[email protected]> Date: Sun, Nov 23, 2014 at 10:32 PM Subject: Re: Quality of Service provided by HCL for LenCare ID: *ED1411013* To: Pavan <[email protected]>, [email protected]
    Hi All,
I would like to bring this to your attention that it has been another 10 days now since I have received any response from your team. It seems as no one is interested in taking care of this issue. This is really insulting and this is humiliating that I have been following up with Lenovo from this long time and I am not getting any response from you guys.
If you are not interested in helping me, then please let me know, so that I should go to some local vendor to get this fixed. This is becoming the ridicules experience with Lenovo. I was thinking that it is only HCL which was proving such service, that was ruining Lenovo's name, however Lenovo herself does not care about it's customers.
I will never buy anything of Lenovo ever again.

The kind of response I am getting from Lenovo on this is proving that Lenovo is not interested at all in resolving the issue or to help me.
No one is even bothered to send an email or to call me to resolve this issue. You guys can easily call me and help me download the ROM for Lenovo S820 Row and guide me to install the OS on my phone, but you are not doing that at all.
It's been almost 10 days since my phone is off and my work is hampering due to this, but no one is bothered to take lead and fix this issue.
I am really disappointed from Lenovo because of the customer service I have received and would avoid buying any Lenovo Products in future. I would rather like to go with a company who provides good service to there customers when they need it, instead of just ignoring their problems and issues.

    Dear Mr. Ghosh,
I used to be the loyal Fan of Lenovo products till today. I have two Lenovo Laptops and 3 Lenovo phones within my family, as I used to love Lenovo products.
But today all my views about Lenovo changed because of one HCL guy Paramjeet (55004428). This guy gave me such a worst experience of my life when it came to customer service of Lenovo, that I am no longer a fan of Lenovo products.
The issue was simple, my android OS got corrupted and my phone's warranty will be going to expire on December 22, 2014. So I went to your customer service hoping to get the OS reinstall and start working with my phone. But this guy simply said NO to me as there was a slight crack on my screen. He said my warranty is now void as there is a crack in my screen and I will not get any support on this until or unless I do not spend 8000 Rs to change the screen first. When I asked him to give me this thing in written, he denied saying that I am not going to give you anything in written. The guy was extremely rude. I did not ask him to change the screen under warranty, All I asked was to restore my OS. Further, my phone charger (not working) which has got nothing to do with a crack on the screen of phone. He said that the warranty is expired for it as well.
I thought that Lenovo was a respected company who actually cares for it's customer, but I know that Lenovo is just another company who simply treat it's customers nice only till the product is not sold. Once the product is sold nobody gives a **bleep** about the customers.
Today I realized that there is no difference between the customer service of phone company like Micromax and a big and trusted brand like Lenovo.
I really do not know what action you will take on this, but if this is the level of customer service provided by Lenovo, then that day is not far when your customer will start moving to another competitor.

And this time, its been more then 8 days since my last email and more than 15 days since Ireceived any call or email from Lenovo Customer care and no one is even bothered to reply.

    Hi,
Honestly, I do not know that I would even get a response to this or not, cuz that has been my experience with Lenovo, Please look at the following for better understanding of my mindset:

    Hi All,
I would like to bring this to your attention that it has been another 10 days now since I have received any response from your team.

    Hi Pavan,
This was the exact response which I got from you 7 days ago and nothing happened.

  • Non Existant Customer Service

Like so many others, the strike affected my ability to get service installed.  I get that.  I'm not thrilled about, but I get it, stuff happens.  I wish I were the only one, but anecdotally my scenario seems all too common.  Unfortunately, how everything has been handled with getting "servicing" customers has been nothing but lies, broken promises, and brush offs.  Allow me to be very specific about my issues:
My order was placed on August 2, several days before the strike; ultimately installation was scheduled for August 16th... a windows of exactly 10 business days later.  In the interim, Verizon employees go on strike.  Naturally, I suspected this would impact my installation, though I wasn't too happy, of course.  Called up Verizon to verify and was told "Oh no, your appointment is still booked, you should be good to go.  We will call you if we have to reschedule for any reason."  The night of August 15th, I get an e-mail that my appointment can't be made, and I will be contacted to reschedule.  To be clear, this was not a phone call as told.  And was well after I'd made arrangements with my job to be home the following morning.
A few days later, the strike ends.... hooray!  Verizon sends e-mails and updates their web sites with the great news and how they'll contact me to get my installation rescheduled.  Of course, by Wednesday afternoon, I hadn't so much as heard a word.  And my attempts to call were greeted with a recorded message that they will be in contact with me.  Finally I get in touch with a representative via the online chat tool, who gets me an installation date of 9/7 (if you're keeping count, that's _another_ 10 business days out from the day I contacted)  Seeing as I already had my order in four business days before the strike, the fact that I now have to wait ten more (and keep in mind this contact was made two business days post strike) is already ridiculous.
But, there's a problem with updating my order, and someone in a different department will have to get back to me to confirm my order status.  I'm promised a call back within 24 hours.  I get a text on my phone confirming it, and the repair status online tool confirms the same, with a commitment time of exactly 24 hours later.
Surprise, that 24 hours comes and goes, so that night I'm back online with the service representative trying to figure out why it hasn't been rectified.  After some apologies, I'm scheduled for the first available appointment... on 9/9.  I've now lost another two days becuase of Verizon's inability to get me booked.  (Note that I now have a date for 11 business days out from the time I'm talking with the rep)  Representative confirms that I am booked for the morning of 9/9.
Today (Saturday 8/27) I get a phone call from Verizon to "schedule my installation".  After explaining I'd already done so, it seems there's no appointment booked for me, but they can give me the first available on 9/13.  (12 business days from today)
To say that this is beyond unacceptable customer service would be an understatement.  Now, four different times I have been jerked around.  When does it end?  Sadly, too many parts of this country have no real competition in this market space, else I would surely be taking my business to one of them instead.

The most recent contact I had from anyone at Verizon was over the weekend, saying that I'd get a response from a tech within 48 business hours.  Which meant EOD today.  Guess what? Not a peep.  Again.  Another lie from Verizon.
I suppose I'm just continually being told, we'll get back to you in a day or two, in the hopes that I can be given the same canned lines and **bleep** enough times that eventually the install date (now 29 days after the originally agreed upon date) will arrive and the issue will be irrelevant.  Well, I can assure you, the issue is still relevant, and will remain relevant until I get resolution.
