Blending 2 videos that havent been shot on a green screen

Hi everyone
I have a query about blending. I shot 2 videos of the same scene where 2 characters enter in each and I was intending to blend the two together to give the impression that there were 4 characters on one video.
The blending options (at best) show a somewhat ghostly image of the 4 characters. I guess this is because there is essentially two lots of the background pixels and only 1 copy of each of the characters.
Does anyone have any ideas/advice on how I might essentially superimpose one set of people onto the other video? I had a play with garbage matting which seemed a step in the right direction...

Thank you both for your input. I think I have managed to use the Garbage Matte to sort it out.
The two shots were taken on a tripod and they line up but there was a slight difference in light and the wind was messing the trees up etc. etc.

Capturing Footage that has been shot in Long Play?

Good Morning All,
I have been giving a tape that has been shot in Pal Long Play and I can not log and capture this DV Tape at all. Everytime I do try the footage is just useless.
This may sound like a silly question but :
Does anyone know the settings that I would put on FCP 6 to log and capture footage that has been shot in Pal Long play?
Any help would by highly appreciated.

LP mode slows the tape to extend the recording time. If the camera/playback device does not have this mode, the material will play back either as noise or accelerated. In either case the images will be unusable.
You need a camera that understands PAL DV tapes recorded in LP mode. Your best bet may be the original cam.
Once you have the original cam/ or one that records/plays LP DV tapes, dub the material to a standard play DV then capture the SP DV tape. LP tapes are notorious for audio and video drifting apart. The audio will almost certainly be recorded as 12 bit/32 khz.

What do you mean by iTunes registering the mp4?
Which iTunes, on iPad, iTunes is a Store and it won't take your .mp4.
On pc, check if it supports the mp4 (there are a number of different mp4 format) you have converted.
Can you import it to computer iTunes?

Park invoices that havent been Goods Receipted

Dear Gurus,
We are looking at a way of parking invoices on our system that havent been GRN'd but want to maintain Goods-Receipt-Based IV button ticked in the PO to ensure that the functionality around this are maintained.
We also want to be able to allocate the PO line items to the Invoice but again if it hasnt been GRN'd MIRO doesnt pick up the PO in question.
I have looked at transaction MIRA but this only Holds an invoice rather than Parking it and we need to be able to allocate a FI Document.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

The advantage of parking is that you are still able to modify while this is not possible with holding.
You can distribute the work between 2 users
Especially when working with EDI you often get the invoice much earlier than the goods, and those invoices are all parked.
The SAP release notes 4.6c already explain:
Update allocation
If goods-receipt-based invoice verification has been defined and no goods receipt has been posted yet, you can park an invoice document simply by saving the allocation without any invoice items. If you want to process this parked invoice document further at a later time and a goods receipt has been posted in the meantime, the system can find this goods receipt. Choose the icon Update allocation to do this.

If you are doing this from your phone (as you mention) then you can use the new iPhoto Photo Journal feature to do this.
Unfortunately, iCloud does not offer equivalents to Mobile Me’s iDisk, Gallery or Web Hosting services. You will need to find a third party solution to replace these services. You might consider DropBox, SugarSync, MediaFire or any other service that offers online storage.

Fixing an LCD screen that has been shot in a video and ispulsing/flickering

I have an HDV format movie of a product video that includes a small LCD touch screen, editing in apple intermediate 1080i codec, that includes scenes with LCD screens in the background, one of the screens is flickering as it was not synched to the camera during shooting. It doesn't look too bad in HD but when I downconvert to DVD (using the bonsai method going thru a DV50 intermediate http://web.mac.com/bonsai71/iWeb/HDVtoDVD/Welcome.html) the flickering is very noticeable.
I've tried roughly masking it and using the flicker filter - it helps but it doesn't fix it 100%. The rest of the video looks great. I can't replace the screen as it's too much work. Any ideas how i can reduce the pulsing/flicker.

How can I use iMovie on my ipad mini to create a video from still shots using a green screen?

In my physics class, I am doing a project where we are taking pictures to create a movie, and we are usign a green screen. I know that iMovie on the mac devices is able to transfer photos and videos from a green screen so that you are able to insert backgrounds where the green screen is. Is there any way to be able to change the settings on the iPad mini to be able to do the same things with a green screen and backgrounds?

Also, I tried changing my primary email on Fb to what it was years ago, etc and I still wasn't able to delete the account.

I was hoping someone on this forum could please help me with one specific problem that I am having. I would like to embed the a flash player into an html page, and load the video from a service that has the streaming video provided.
This is the context of the situation...
We have created a site that was to be used on a showroom floor (no internet connection) and loaded the .flv videos at the local root level for the site.
Now however, we would like it to be an online site. I have been able to use the flash "jw player"to load videos to play using the shadowbox javascript, but when I try to embed it onto a page and have it play, it isn't working and I am not sure why.
Below is the code that is currently working to load the videos on the local root level.
Might someone have any ideas on what I need to replace to have it load the videos from the streaming service?
I would greatly appreciate any assistance that could be provided. I can also provide a URL if it would help.

Thanks a lot for the reply. However, I am pretty confident that the jw player supports the streaming video option, but as I mentioned that I was able to use it as a popup using the shadowbox javascript before. After doing a bit of investigating on how the videos are hosted, I am using "progressive download" method for these videos.
I think the problem is that the player.swf is hosted on my website server - and the videos are then hosted on the media hosting service. I think that the player needs to be located on the media hosting service, and then embedded onto the page along with where to point to the .flv video. Does that sound right?
If so, the paramater I am using to embed the player as I mentioned in my original post is simply:
<param name="movie" value="player.swf" />
does the "value" then have to change to the http:// address for the video player.swf that would then be hosted on my video hosting service?

How do I delete videos that have been imported from iPhoto?

Somehow I imported to iMovie 11 all the videos I have in iPhoto and they've been broken down into clips (thumbnails?). I don't want those videos/clips in iMovie or on my hard drive at all! (I just want to keep the originals in iPhoto.) How can I actually delete them rather than hiding/moving them? I've tried highlighting them and using Delete or Command/Delete, but that doesn't seem to work.

iMovie does not have a physical copy of your clips. They reside in the iPhoto library and iMovie references them there. You have to delete them in iPhoto. But be careful, that is your only copy.
You can prove this to yourself by right-clicking on one of your iPhoto event clips in iMovie and selecting "REVEAL IN FINDER". It should take you to a folder within iPhoto.

How do I put video that I have shot on iPad then put on my PC, back on the iPad

I shot video on my iPad 2. Then i needed to retore the iPad. So first I connected the iPad to my PC, waited for the hard drive to pull up, opened the "view files on devise" option, went in and found all the pictures and video I had taken and saved them to a folder on my computer. Now the iPad is restored and I am trying to put them back on the same way I got them off, but I am having no luck with that. I need the video clips so I can use them in iMovie. I can't figure it out, so if anyone has solved this I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Thanks.

It means that you'll either have to use the Adobe DNG converter and convert your RAW files to DNG first, or upgrade to CS6, or use Lightroom to export (TIFF) to Photoshop.
I used the DNG converter for years before finally upgrading Photoshop. It was an extra step, but it just became part of my workflow - put card into reader, download RAW files, go grab a beer, batch convert to DNG, drink beer, edit in Photoshop. But had I known about how powerful Lightroom was I would have switched over to LR long before and just used that to export to Photoshop when necessary.

Fix a video that has been recorded in full zoom?

Is there a way to zoom out during editing or de-pixelate? I must have zoomed in by accident while recording on a tripod. Half the video is fine, half is in full zoom and therefore poo. Is there any way to correct this through editing or something? Or, is the video irreparable like that?

Only way to solve this is to redo the shoot.

How do you recover iMovie videos that have been deleted?

I had finally finished my iMovie project, and it was finalized and ready to be posted to youtube, but when I tried to open it up it was completely gone. I went into finder and it is still in my iMovie projects folder, but when I try to open it up it just takes me to iMovie, where it has listed all the projects I have done in the past, but it is not there. I've tried iMessaging it to my other people's computers but it doesn't work. I've also tried putting it on a flashdrive and putting it on someone else's computer, and it won't open there either.
