Block internet explorer as a browser

How do I block user from using IE as a browser to view my webpage?

Since, its not a server, its a module that host the website, it takes me a bit to setup for the link.
Plus I have to use port forwarding on my router and remember how to load in Dreamweaver. So
I will post the code on the top, which is what I believe is revalent to the issue, if anything doesn't
strike as the issue, I will be working on trying to show a link (I have to remember, how I did it last time).
Here is the code snippet:
<!doctype html>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8"/>
<meta http-equiv="pragma" content="no-cache">
<meta http-equiv="expires" content="-1">
<title>Test</title>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="jquery-ui-1.10.3.custom.min.css" />
<script src="jquery-1.10.2.min.js"></script>
<script src="jquery-ui-1.10.3.custom.min.js"></script>
<script>
$(document).ready(function() {
// executes when HTML-Document is loaded and DOM is ready
//Dissable all tabs except the password
$( "#Main" ).tabs( { disabled: [1, 2, 3, 4, 5] } );
//Initialize the following variables
$.ajax({
        type: "POST",
        url: "index.html",
        data: {Nb_var99:1,
        Nb_var98:' ',
    Nb_var96:' ',
        Nb_var04:' ',
    Nb_var05:' ',
    Nb_var06:' '
</script>
<script src="Ajax_Query.js"></script>
<script src="Ajax_Tabs.js"></script>
<script src="Ajax_Submit.js"></script>
<style type="text/css">
This is only a snippet of the top, the middle stuff is just what is in the tabs them self, I don't believe it has anything to do with the actual issue.

  • Why can't I download a pdf file using internet explorer as my browser.I can download pdfs using fire

    Why can't I download a pdf file using internet explorer as my browser. I can download pdfs using firefox.

    Gilad D,
    Thanks for the support.
    I would guess the plugin is enabled since when I use Foxfire as my browser, all pdfs download and are readable. (just doesn’t happen when I use IE as my browser, I get a blank screen with a small “x” in the upper left corner)
    I will try your proposed solution.

  • Firefox either closes suddenly when I click on the address bar after startup or it hangs and also blocks internet explorer from loading

    On my Windows XP sp3 system the current the last two releases of Firefox both exhibit the same behavior. When I launch Firefox it will either shutdown within seconds with no crash reporter or other error logged or it will hang completely and indefinitely. When it hangs it also blocks internet explorer 8 from loading. I have tried and followed all the steps in the crashing FAQ including safe mode, uninstalls, re-installs, profile deletes (even the profile dialog closed suddenly). I use Norton Internet Security version 18.6.0.29. A full virus scan does not find any problems. I have disabled all toolbars, plugins and addons and the problem persists. Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and Opera all work fine. Only occasionally does Firefox load and keep running. It's as if it is failing on some check at startup and either crashes or hangs most of the time.

    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
    *Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

  • Restricting Export to Excel of internet explorer in BEx Browser

    Hi,
    Is there any way we can restrict the user to export the data into Excel. I have disabled this option in the template. But when the report opens through Browser, user right clicks on any part of the screen and he can export the data to the Excel.
    Can we restrict this internet explorer options by anyway.
    Please advise.
    Thanks
    Ramesh Ganji

    Instead of this if I give a solution to disable right click option in Internet Will it be helpful.
    Find the below code then
    <script language="JavaScript">
    //This code is the beginning of the right click disable
    function right(e) {
    //This function is for Net 4.
    if (navigator.appName == 'Netscape' && (e.which == 3 || e.which ==
    2))
    return false;
    return true;
    function context(){
    //This function takes care of Net 6 and IE.
    return false;
    document.onmousedown=right;
    document.oncontextmenu=context;
    </script>
    But don't forget to reward points.

  • Internet Explorer vs AOL Browser

    My adobe launches the AOL browser automatically when connecting to the web.  And there are some pdf files I can read using the AOL browser but not the internet Explorer.  I have adobe 7.0.  I would like to quit using AOL and use Internet Explorer for all.  Should I check for updates and update adobe.  Can I set a preference to use Internet Explorer as a default?
    Thanks,
    Steve

    C:\shirts\chamoisshirt\barnred.jpgThis is a file on the local hard drive. Does this file exist on the computer where you test with Mozilla?
    You could try converting the file path to a URL:

  • How do I make Firefox NOT my default browser and restore Internet Explorer as default browser?

    I used to have Internet Explorer as my default browser and when I went to Firefox it asked me if I wanted Firefox as my default browser and I always sad no. I must haves screwed that up somehow and I want to go back to Explorer as default.
    == This happened ==
    Not sure how often

    To make Internet Explorer your default web browser, you can click on '''Tools''' from the toolbar at the top and select '''Internet Options'''. Then select the '''Programs''' tab from the top of the window to access the default browser settings. You might want to also choose to be alerted if Internet Explorer is not your default browser. Click '''OK''' to save your changes.
    Please also be aware of that Firefox's latest version is [http://getfirefox.com 3.6.4] while you're running 3.5.9.

  • I'm able to open my roadrunner mail @ internet explorer, but this browser keeps showing, session expired log in and I get the message again

    I have roadrunner e-mail as a tab on my homepage. At one time I was asked, do you want to save user name and password, I responded yes. Every time I wanted to access my e-mail Your session has expired. Please log in again would come up and I would follow the instructions and could access my e-mail. Today I'm unable to access my e-mail here, but can open it at internet explorer. I even tried my wife's e-mail, which her info isn't saved and it goes back to my log in screen.

  • Username and Password Prompt Blocked Internet Explorer

    I'm not sure that's IE behavior. I've never seen nor read about it before.

    Hi All and thanks for your help!
    I've wasted hours trying to find which of my (many many group policies) might be causing the IE to block the username / password prompt on this website.
    What I've tried :
    1. testing GPOs one by one on a VM to check which one is causing this
    2. adding the site to trusted, local internet and what not
    3. disabling credentials pass-through in IE
    Can anyone please tell me which registry setting controls this behavior ?

I had a chat online with someone from micro trend and she told me to try a couple different things and nothing worked.. Please help my account for micro trend last for another four months.  Kaye

    Hi Peter
    There are some JavaScripts out there on the web that purport
    to intercept keystrokes. Unfortunately, I doubt you will find one
    that works for all keys and 100% of the time. It's been my
    experience that certain browser keys simply cannot be intercepted.
    You may wonder why these would even be offered as
    possibilities if they posed a problem. But you might be forgetting
    that these would work just fine if you used .EXE as your output.
    Cheers... Rick

  • New itunes/ipod software blocks Internet Explorer (IE)

    I have new ipod (30 GB) for Xmas, which comes with new software and recommends installing it, even if you have it already for better performance..., but it blocks connection to Internet among many other problems caused to many other users.
    Is any way to fix it or have to wait until new software is fix?
    Between all many bigger problems I read I did not see this.
    Check settings deeply by myself first and then with IP: PC not shows any signs of changes on settings, modem works properly and my other computer was able to connect to Internet. We conclude it was no problem of connection with IP system or hardware, was with any new software update or program installed yesterday as itunes, real player or windows media player.
    Then uninstall ipod software and after restart was able to reconnect to Internet.
    Reinstall ipod software to see if now all works properly but not, same problem again, so I have to uninstall again new ipod/ itunes software, just hope Apple fix it or be able to use old software with new ipod.
    Before have a shuffle only .
    Does old itunes software should work in the same way for both, right?
    Because I am not using new again until is fix.
    Reading all problems everybody else has I am very lucky, not lost previous songs and was able to install and download songs to ipod from itunes, real player and windows media player. I did not try quick time yet.
    Thank you for any help.

    I'm assuming you haven't gotten any help with this problem?
    So perhaps I can revive a little activity here ... I have the same problem, but with a twist:
    1) From behind my corporate firewall, I can do all sorts of "iTunes things" such as access the iTMS and download purchases. And, of course, I can access all sorts of other services on the internet via the firewall just fine (so obviously my proxy settings are correct).
    2) From behind the firewall, if I connect either my 5th gen iPod or 3rd gen Nano and the iPod firmware is out of date, I'll get the message saying there's a newer version of the s/w ... and if I click "Update" I'll then get a dialog saying "iTunes could not contact the iPod software update server because you are not connected to the Internet. Make sure your Internet connection is active and try again."
    3) From outside of the firewall (with proxies turned off), the update works just fine.
    This seems to point to iTunes (7.6.1) as having a problem with negotiating a firewall for the download service only.
    Hoping someone from Apple is listening and replies with some clues to fixing this ...

  • Regarding Internet Explorer 9 and browser recommendations

    In testing the community with IE9, we have found that users will experience problems when trying to create posts. We are working to address the issues we have found and expect to have full support for IE9 in May. Until that time, we recommend either IE8, Firefox 3.6, or Safari 5.0, or Google Chrome.
    If you still prefer to use IE9, in the interim you should use compatibility mode
    when on the community.

    Okay, it official...IE 9 and Firefox 4 is officially being supported for the Verizon Community.  Let us know if you encounter any issues with these browsers and we'll pass the word along!  Thanks!
