Blocking employee from entering Overtime in the future ?

Hi!
We need to block the employes to enter overtime in the future. We are usin ERP6, with the schema ZM09 (from TM04). We developed a schema customized for overtime. we use Time without clock time. we use Infotype 2002 (Attendances) to record Overtime. The main entry for employe is with the portal (ESS)
My question : Is it possible to block the employe from entering overtime with configuraiton on tables or rules?
Right now my only solution is to develop BADI with ABAP to compare "BEGDA" on IT2002 with "SY-DATUM"
Is there any BADI develop for this matter? Or other solutions?
Thanks

Hi!
Thanks for the reply!
We are not using CATS for Overtime...I should add this details earlyier !
Sameer,
We have ESS on SAP NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s) Is this what you meant by "application in the ESS" I'm not sure to understand your question! We use a customized PA61 for multiple entry for Overtime!
My questions was if it was possible to do this check qithout ABAP ?
Thanks

  • Each song on my iTunes has a duplicate. How do I delete all duplicates and prevent this from happening again in the future?

Each song on my iTunes has a duplicate. How do I delete all duplicates and prevent this from happening again in the future?

After I had updated to Itunes 11 (also on Windows 7), I had the same experience, but I suspect that it was because I accepted a proposal to set up an external media library in order to simplify security backups. An associated result was that I had lost all of my playlists!
What I did was to restore the entire library off my Ipod, using a very good program called PodToPC (a free download is available) selecting an option to replace all of the stuff in the Itunes library. I use the Ipod Classic simply because it has a large capacity to hold my collection of CD and Vinyls. No way was I going to modify duplicates of 10000 tracks in 750 playslists by hand!  I did have a few residual problems with some of the playlist specs but, after a few hours of work all was restored.
    I hope this is useful.

  • Skip an employee from being processed in the payroll

I want to skip an employee from being processed in the payroll as the employee is given Unpaid Leave. Please can some one assist me how i can do that by using Fast Formulas ?
    Appreciate all your comments!

The leaves taken by an employee is stored in 'per_absence_attendances' table so you can write a formula function which returns the type of leave taken by employee.
You can then define a skip rule (Fast formula type -> 'Element Skip') and attach it to the element which u want to skip during payroll run.
    eg.
    v_leave_type = GET_LEAVE_TYPE(..) --Your Custom Function
if v_leave_type = 'Unpaid Leave' then
    skip_flag = 'Y'
    else
    skip_flag = 'N'
return skip_flagThis approach skips the elements from being processed but not the employee. So you have to attach this skip rule to all elements which are needed to be skipped.

  • Easiest method to block employees from Guest network?

We have WCS and several WLCs (WISMv1, 5508, 4402) all running the 7.0.240.0 code.  The "Guest" SSID is "garden-walled" from the corp LANs.  We used to have web-auth page that required ID / PW.   This became unreasonable as IT Dept was getting requests at all hours for immediate access from guest / resident family memebrs.  So we changed the web-auth to remove the the ID / PW and just display corp policy and have to hit a "continue" button to gain access to Guest SSID.  Healthcare staff on the floor are not tech-savvy enough to want to use or perform Hotel Ambassador functions.
The issue now is that we have employees with smartphones, tablets and even personal laptops conecting the Guest SSID. Sr. Mgt wants to find a way to stop the abuse.
I do not believe there is any perfect solution to prevent employees from gaining access, but have been asked to find a manageable method to deter most employees from connecting to the Guest network.   Looked at seing up MAC filtering in WCS, it seems that you have to enter MACs that you *allow* on to the network - by default, other MACs are blocked.  I would rather have the template block the MACs listed in the csv file and allow access as the default..
We have several SSIDs.  Our corporate SSID uses 802.1x and we use Microsoft Server 2012 Network Policy Server (RADIUS) to pass user ID / PW to our AD for authentication.  We do not have Cisco ACS.  I am not sure if integrating RADIUS is the answer here either.
I have had some webex sessions on ISE, NCS, and Prime infrastructure.  We are only interested at the moment to monitor  / control access to Guest.  I have been told that ISE will have "sponsorship" functionality added in soon -- where user fills out info and ID / PW is sent via text or email to a cell phone or other device.
    Any ideas??
    TIA -- Perry

    Steve,
The employees don't use / need any credentials for the Guest.  The nurse staff / aides have balked at performing what they see as IT responsibilities.   I can actually understand their point....their job is to provide care to the residents.
IT can't realistically respond to requests at all hours for access to Guest.
One thought was to see if we can require a name to be on the web-auth form that we can upload and record the corresponding MAC.  The name is not verified against AD or anything  -- more to track and see if the MAC associated "moves"  across the network -- which would signal that it is likely an employee using a smartphone.
But we still need a way to specifically block a MAC while allowing the default permit in WCS.  As I mentoned earlier, the default seems to be block MACs and permit specific MACs in the list....

  • What can I do to prevent the control key from not working in the future?

    Background:
I bough an macbook pro about 1 year and 3 months ago and after 9 months of usage my control key stopped working for about an hour or two. This happened every time I turned on or awoke my mac from sleep (lid down).I sent it to an authorized apple service center and they replaced the keyboard.Everything was fine for about 4-5 months when the same thing happened again, ctrl key stopped working but this time not when turning on my mac but at random times and for random intervals.I sent it again to the service center but they told me that this time it won't be for free because my 1 year warranty has expired.I should mention that in European Union and Romania (the country where I am from and from which the mac was purchased) the law is that any electronics device sold has to come with at least 2 years of warranty.Apple seems to ingore this law.
Anyway, after long conversations with apple uk on the phone they agreed to pay for the keyboard but not for the labor which was 70 eur ($100).It's not much but my 2 year warranty should have covered it.The sad part is that I have no guarantee that it's indeed a keyboard error and not something else, this might happen again in 4 months and I doubt this time apple would agree paying for the keyboard (which is 150eur) ($215).
I should also mention that before calling apple uk I tried apple's romanian number (listed on their site) and it didn't work on the 3 phone networks that I've tried (2 fixed and one mobile) which led me to believe that apple support is in fact a big joke.
Suffice to say that I will no longer purchase any apple devices or software, I regret purchasing mac os x lion just a week ago, when I will no longer use it because I intend to sell all my apple gear (timecapsule, iphone4, macbook pro) and buy stuff from companies that value their customers and respect their contracts.
    My questions are this:
    1) why does apple ignore EU and Romanian law?
    2) what can I do to prevent this from happening in the future
    3) can I request that my macbook be more thoroughly inspected? I suspect the keyboard is not the main problem and it will soon happen again as it happened two times already.
    4) can I do something for the repair labor charge to be waved? It is illegal in my country to ask for one in this scenario...

Everyone reading your posts here is just another MacBook Pro user. We're all volunteers, not Apple employees. No one here can speak for Apple.
In my personal opinion, buying Apple products in a country where Apple has no stores and no corporate presence is a risk that the buyer takes knowingly. I don't think it's a wise risk, and I don't recommend that anyone take it. A small percentage of the products sold anywhere are going to have problems, and it makes more sense to buy an inferior product that can at least be serviced locally than to buy a superior product that may have to be sent thousands of miles for repair if anything ever goes wrong with it.

  • Can you keep extra songs on your iPod that are not in your iTunes library, and not lose these songs every time you want to delete something from your iPod in the future?

I have all these songs that I want to store on my iPod but not on my computer, and I know that by choosing to manually manage my music I can still hang on to these songs when I add new songs to my iPod.  However, what if I want to delete songs off of my iPod in the future?  Will I lose all of the extra music that is on my iPod but not my computer, due to the fact that the only way to delete songs seems to be by syncing?

The answer to the question in the title of the thread is yes, but it is not necessarily a good idea. At some point you are likely to find you need to restore your iPod for one reason or another, or it could be lost, stolen or damaged. If your songs aren't on your computer, and backed up too, then you will be less than happy.

  • Does ios6 allow you to block a phone number from being received in the future?

I know that previous versions of iOS did not provide the ability to block a phone number in the "Call History" menu from ever being received again, but what about iOS6?

    Hey Paul,
Michael is right, you can easily get around it by simply assigning a silent ringtone.
Google "silent ringtone" (don't pay for it, you can find it free) and download it. I've created an "Annoying Cr@p"
"contact" that I've assigned the silent ringtone to and I simply cut and paste the numbers I want blocked into it.
No more salesmen, political party calls, etc.- the phone does light up when they call, but you hear nothing- and usually miss them all together.  I've assigned a nice little image of a stuffed dog pooh to it (google "poop toy"), and when someone does see it (as one of my co-workers saw it light up on my desk once) it makes for a *great* laugh.
Works like a champ.  Takes minutes.

  • Blocking employees from spamming customers

Due to recent laws we cannot allow our employees to contact our customers through mass emails.  What is the best way to accomplish this?
If blocking is not possible then is there a way to know when an employee sends out a mass email outside the company?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Jas,
I recommend you can consider using transport rule to block the mass mail which been sent to customers, as below:

  • How do i ignore my sons app store updatyes and eliminate them from coming up in the future

I just took over my sons mini mac and we thought we took everything out related to him to make it mine but I notice I am getting imovie and iphoto promts to update those apps. Im signed into itunes so not sure how to completely clear these and eliminate future updates  for him on my new mac, I am so new at the mac that im struggling to find current OS I just did update and this mini is new back in Sept

IMHO i would do a complete reinstall of the OS and have yourself a nice clean Mac Mini.
First do a Backup with Time Machine, or use something like SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner and make a Bootable Clone of the Mac if you have Applications, movies, music, documents and so on if you dont want to loose them.
Then open the Mac App Store and hold down Option while you click Purchases then you can see the Mountain Lion or Lion ready to download again.
Download which ever OS that came with the Mac Mini, then follow the instructions in the link below to make a Bootable copy of the OS and do a complete clean reinstall.

  • Do you know if FF will be supporting the Secure Online Account numbers add-on from Discover Card in the future?

I love FF but your new version doesn't support this credit card add-on, which I also love and use. I could downgrade but you won't be supporting the previous versions for long, according to your site info. Thank you, Ellen

It's not up to Firefox to support add-ons, but rather for add-on developers to keep up with new versions of Firefox.
    This page -
http://www.discovercard.com/customer-service/security/soan-download.html - says that add-on is compatible with Firefox 3, under System Requirements on that page, which indicates to me that either that support page hasn't been updated in a few years or that add-on hasn't been updated in a few years. Check with Discover support to see what the status of that Secure Online Account numbers program is, as far as Firefox compatibility goes. <br />
    Firefox 3 was released on June 17, 2008 - 3 years ago <br />
Firefox 4 came out on 03-22-2011, and Firefox 5 is sue to be released this coming Tuesday June 21.

  • Employee can enter hours in WBS different from the worklist

    Hi all,
My name is Sara, I have a question related to CAT2 transaction. We have configured our system in order to only WBS assigned to a employee appears in the worklist in CAT2 transaction for this employee, this is ok. The problem is we don´t know the way to prevent the employee from entering hours  in this WBS (He can enter another WBS and enter hours in it). Is there a standard way to prevent it or is it needed to development extra code?
    Thanks a lot !!!
    Sara

    Hi,
Its a statndard one, you need to use the user exit CATS0009 - Customer-Specific Text Fields in Data Entry Section
Then use CAC2 for field maintanence and assign the standard field DISPTEXT1 or DISPTEXT2.
By this Activity, you will get the WBS in the drop down and you can use Multiple WBS as per your requirement.
Hope it helps. ( Marks me if works fine)

Could you pls help to resolve this issue.
    Regards

    Hi
Posting date is the current date. The details of the error given below.
Measurement time cannot be in the future
    Message no. IR023
    Diagnosis
The measurement time that you have entered is in the future.
A measurement reading describes an actual state, and therefore the measurement time cannot normally be in the future.
    System Response
    Processing will not be continued.
    Procedure
Enter a measurement time in the past.
If this is an exceptional case, contact your system administrator.
    Procedure for the system administrator
In exceptional cases, tolerances must be allowed in the entry of measurement times.
    Example:
Measurements are taken automatically and are then transferred to the SAP System. The system time of the measurement system varies from that of the SAP System for technical reasons.
You can define an appropriate tolerance level in Customizing for each measuring point category.
    Pls suggest some solution.
