Blue screen on client computers after locking screen

When I Lock or Curtain certain computers, instead of the picture of the lock and the message, some just show a blue screen - often with a mouse present that can still be controlled by the user. These computers then cannot be controlled by me or the user (any more than moving the mouse around a blank screen) and have to be manually shut down and powered on via the power button, forcing a loss of the current work on the computer. It is the same computers in which this continues to happen. I have tried reinstalling ARD client, repairing disk permissions and running anti-virus software.
I am running ARD 3.3.2 and my client computers all have been updated to that as well. The computers are all mirrors of one another, and are updated and maintained at the same time. They are eMac PowerMac 4,4 running 10.4.11 with 700 mHz G4 and 1 GB ram. Thanks for any insight!

A: It's possible that the application crashs, but not Windows XP. An OS should prevent a client application to stop the OS.

Restart client computers after updates deployment in SCCM 2012 R2

I've deployed some Windows updates to all of my Windows 7 workstations. I've set a deadline time to 48 hours after deployment avalaibility time - i.e., to 13:00. I've set the option "Supress reboot on workstations". In my default client settings,
I've set computer restart settings so: "Display a temporary notification..." - 360 minutes, "Display a dialog box that the user cannot close..." - 60 minutes.
The question is:
Can the end user delay restart on his workstation after deadline time - in this example, will be a temporary notification received, and the user will be able to click "remind me after 360 minutes" or so - or will be computer restarted in any case?
How can I prevent the restart, if end user cannot delay restart after the deadline time?

No they cannot stop or delay the deadline time. You can only set the time delay from the server.

Application Deployments Stops Audio Service on Client Computers After or During Install.

So basically every time i deploy a new application package, sccm software center stops the audio service on the client computer. This would not be an issue if it would just restart the service but it does not and then it requires admin privileges to be restarted.
Anyway, Any insight into this oddity would be greatly appreciated.

Under normal circumstances, SCCM software center will not stop the Audio service.

Error " This connection is not trusted" on TMG 2010 client computers

I 've HTTPS enabled on tmg 2010. and Generate the Certificate and also import/ install the certificate "Microsoft Forefront TMG HTTPS Inspection Certification Authority" on my TMG Server and also as well as on TMG Client Computers.
after that when I surf the HTTPS website then getting the error. " This connection is not trusted" error snapshot is attached...

After Install VPN Client for Win V4.8 Get Blue Screen

When I installed the VPN client on my machine with XP, SP2 and updates the machine booted until it got to the Windows User Log On Screen where I immediately got a blue screen with the
Stop Code 0x96
- Invalid_Work_Queue_Item -
If I go to Safe Mode and uninstall the client everythings returns to normal. Anyone have any ideas?

I too have the same problem. I am trying to connect to my corporate network through VPN(4.6). It ends up in following error.
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.
Configuration:
Dell Inspiron E1505.
XP Home SP-2.

History:
I was able to connect to VPN for past eight months. I have been working in the network with out any problems. Last month I had some problems in my laptop and ended up in formatting it.
I have used the default OS installation CD shipped along with the laptop. But after the re-installation, the system started failing. I have never been able to connect after that.
I too agree that this may not be same as the one described in initial posting. But the one explained by henryadams is a genuine issue.
This is not only with me. But also happens with two of my colleagues as well.
Would appricate if any one can help on this.

I have had 9 iOS devices either just show the apple log and go black or a dead battery even thou they were on the chargers for hours.
I brought them to the Apple store. No one could give me an answer as to why it did it. All you have to do to fix it is do this:

From the consensus of the people in my office that did the iOS 8.3 update. The ones that did the update while the iPhone or iPad was on a charger are not experiancing any issues. The ones that did the update without being on a charger are the ones experianceing the issues at hand.

Blue screen after logout when using Open Directory-bound computers

I'm having a weird problem with the Open Directory-bound computers that I'm managing. I recently deployed it to a lab of 30 computers (after doing initial testing with 1 computer), and I'm having one problem in particular:
Sometimes, when a user logs out of one of these OD-bound computers, the login window fails to appear. The user is logged out, the desktop for that user disappears (being replaced with the standard blue desktop), but the login window doesn't appear.
What's strange is that Remote Desktop says these computers are at the login window, and I can manipulate them via Remote Desktop as if nothing is wrong (I can restart, shut down, etc.). But I can't do anything at the computer locally with the keyboard or mouse -- if I try to bring up the shutdown dialog with Control-Power (which works sometimes in these situations), it doesn't work.
This doesn't happen all the time or with the same computers. But it happens often enough that it's a bit of an annoyance -- I usually just restart them from Remote Desktop to get the login window to appear. (The other problem is that sometimes I'm not around to fix it, and so if people come in when I'm not around, they have to force shutdown the computer using the power button and then start it back up to get to the login window.)
I've also noticed that some of the computers have been taking a lot longer to login, which seems to suggest that the computers are trying to access the server or something, but the server is always up and is usually very reliable (with a few exceptions here and there).
Any ideas?

I got the Blue Screen-But Not After Installing Leopard

I have not installed anything recently. Except Quake 4 but haven't even run it yet. I Rebuilt my Permissions and Restarted and suddenly got the Blue Screen. I had to hold down the power button and reboot. This is the first time it's ever happened. After I rebooted I got an error message saying OSX shut down unexpectedly. It also said this:

Cisco VPN Client causes blue screen crash on WindowsXP Pro (Satellite M30)

Hi there,
I've got a Satellite Pro M30 running Windows XP Professional.
After starting a vpn Tunnel via a Cisco VPN Client (Version 4.6 and 4.7) the system crashes with a blue screen.
I can see that the key exchange is successful, but immediatly after the vpn connection gets established Windows XP crashes with a blue screen.
Has anyone an idea, how to solve this problem?
Maybe by device driver update? And if so, which driver should be updated?

1st of all (concerning your link) - I'm not using the wireless adapter.
I am connectet via 100Mbit via network-cable to my hub (all RJ45 TP Cat.5)
I found several other Notebook users by google'ing who have the same problem different vpn-clients but most of them with a centrino processor inside the notebook.
Almost all of them solved the problem by installing new drivers. But I can't use driver-patches from other Notebook to fix my Toshiba Drivers.
What could help is information about which driver is responsible for the crash by vpn clients on centrino notebooks. Maybe there is an Intel driver for it, but when I do not know which one causes the problem it's like seeking a needle in a haystack... :(
Disabling ALL other network devices (wireless, 1394-network adapter, modem, etc.) did not solve the problem.
I used the Cisco VPN clients several times on my old Compaq Notebook without any problems, but here it just doesn't work.
An idea which driver should be updated is kindly welcome!

i know that Apple says the message can be ignored
-unplugging the imac of every peripheral device as well as power cord,
holding down the power switch for 10 sec.
-doing p-ram reset
-booting in safe mode, blue screen-->loading circle+blue screen--> no loading circle + blue screen---> loop phenomen
Do have any other suggestions?
When booting from an external hard drive, the icon of the internal hard drive on the desktop has got a lock now. Do you know what to make of that?

Cisco VPN Client Blue Screen Windows Vista

I am using Cisco Client IPSec VPN version 5.0.07.0410. Installed on a Windows Vista operating system. Blue screen in Windows occurs after I have entered userid and password. Can anyone shed any light on this? I know that Cisco operates fine with XP and Windows 7 but has had issues with Vista?

Thank you. As soon as we upgraded Vista to SP2, it worked. The issue was with the OS not having the proper updates to interact with the Cisco VPN client.

Blue screen with cursor at boot. And everything after that.

Dear Forums,
(Please note, I'll refer to the machine as a Server, but it is only using 10.4 client; I am merely using the Sharing capabilities of such).
I have a MDD G4 that I'm using as a server. When I start it up, I get the Blue Screen with Cursor (BSwC) at boot - and it never goes past that. (Can't move the cursor either).

I've also tried AppleJack and clearing out caches, zapping PRAM, etc. All the standard fare.
It will boot into safe mode just fine, and it is still acting as a server just fine.
I have also tried Multiple Users (to no avail).
I tried a reinstall of Tiger, which, interestingly enough, didn't give me the option for Archive and Install and Preserve, but instead only gave me the option to Upgrade (hm, from Tiger to Tiger). While this fixed nothing, the server continued to work after this.
Then I had the bright idea to install the OS to the 2nd drive I had within. 'Surely this would work,' I thought. But alas. It did not. In fact, clean installation, new disk, (and yes, I booted from this 2nd disk), the same BSwC problem.
So, please, Dear Apple Support Discussions, let there be someone out there smarter than I (I'm really not that smart, but I do follow instructions well).

How long did you wait for the blue screen to go away? I also have a iMac G5 2GHz ALS.
My computer has been having a problem where on the first boot of the day, it it would hang in the gray screen for about 1.5 minutes and the blue screen for about 4 minutes. I thought it was permanently hung but discovered that it would eventually present the login screen. I could then login normally but none of my firewire external drives would mount. I could restart over and over and the same situation would be present.
Resetting the SMU seems to cure the problem and rebooting would be quick and all firewire drives mounted correctly. I could then reboot as many times after and normal behavior of the iMac would be repeatable.
However after having the system down for several hours and restarting it, the problem would be back.
I have now moved all my firewire drives to a powered hub and will watch over the next day or so to see if that changed anything.

So you are not able to access BIOS???
Press F2 immediately (press it many times in the row) after notebook has been power on
But if you are not able to access the BIOS, I assume that there is a serious problem with BIOS/hardware possibly something went wrong during the updatebut usually this should not happen and its sounds strange
However, I think in such case just an ASP technician would help you.

Blue Screen constantly after installing Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Noteb

I don't knwo what to do, my computer is now completely non-functional, I am on my wifes laptop so that I can write this
I installed the Audigy 2ZS Notebook on my laptop and I went to reboot, after the reboot I get the blue screen every time after about 30 seconds, always.

I am have seen other forum posts about upgrading bios and all that, but I really don't have much desire to go into all that, fact is this software shoudl work and not mess up people computers

Well, in all honesty, I don't see how you can come on here telling me to use the email support when that is just what I did, and have YET to recieve an answer back.... I came on here expecting some sort of a response, from users or tech support, and I didn't get either, while at the same time I submitted a support ticket through the email support system, I didn't get a response there either. So, you "scolding" me for using this forum and getting frustrated is like slapping the thirsty african child for trying to drink from the ri'ver while the locked off water fountain is right next to him. I was venting my frustration from the lack of response through email on here so that other can maybe think twice before buying a creative product if they expect prompt support for their purchases.
I am not having the issue again, I used the downloaded updated drivers from the creative site. All is well, and while I dread if any issues actually do happen to come up again, it seems to be working fine.
btw, once again, let me state, that it is going on 2 days now and someone has yet to email me back from tech support. I am glad I was all right with formatting, I can't imagine what some of your other customers would do if they installed your software and their computer crashed.
