BO Dynamic Table IN Universe or webi

Hi All,
we need solution to create dynamic table in Universe or Web Intelligence , as example below
Table : f_temp_Feb15_tbl
Feb15 should be dymanic or it should be given as prompt
f_temp_Jan15_tbl
we dont want to change table name , so instead do we able to change table name dynamically or by prompt

Hi Sreenivasulu,
Good Morning!!!
In our DB , every month we will create new table on month name and we need to use this tables as source for report.
Table names will be like
F_TEMP_JAN15_TBL
F_TEMP_FEB15_TBL
F_TEMP_MAR15_TBL
F_TEMP_APR15_TBL
SO ON
Every month new table will be created and we want prompt to give input to table name to get data for that month.
so when we refresh report ,we will give month as input and data for that month should be output in report
Regards
Mahesh

    Now my problem is, that I need for every ROW of my table UI Element a different cell editor. I know how to change it for the column. But is not my issue. I want to have images (traffic lights red and green) in some rows. The other rows should have numbers. The coding works, so that I have all the data at the right place in my table, only the images are shown as a string, because the cells of these rows have the cell editor Text_View. I tried something with cell variants (with cl_wd_table_standard_cell), but it was not possible for me to get a cell variant "image" in these cells/rows were I need it.
    I hope you understand my problem and now what to do here.
    Thanks a lot in advance.

  • Reading Dynamic Table Values in interactive form (web Dynpro ABAP)

    Hi All,
    I have created a Web Dynpro ABAP application which contains an Interactive Form, That Adobe Interactive Form contains Dynamic table (New rows can be added manually and deleted using a button).
    I am not able to read the Dynamic table values in Web Dynpro u201COn Submitu201D.
    In the Adobe form I have web Dynpro native button (I am using ZCI), while clicking the native button I need to read the dynamic table values.
    How can I resolve this problem.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Boopathi M

    that means, when u add the table instance at runtime, you will also have to add an element to the node that is bound to the table.
    probably addNew() mathos may be useful to you.
    it appends a new record to the record set.
    xfa.sourceSet.dataConnectionName.addNew()
    also when on the exit event of the table field, do the following:
    var i = xfa.parent.index
    $record.rootnodename.tablenodename.data<i>.fieldname = $.rawValue
    xfa.host.messageBox($record.rootnodename.tablenodename.data<i>.fieldname)

  • Drop down in dynamic table in the Adobe Interactive Form (Web dynpro ABAP)

    Hi All,
    I have scenario use drop down in dynamic table in the adobe interactive form (Using the button the dynamic table row will be increasing and decreasing).
    Assume I Add five rows dynamically in the dynamic table. The Last column contains Drop down.
    I have button in the adobe form.
    Button Name = u201CSAVEu201D
    Button type    = SAP Submit button (Native type u2013 I am Using ZCI).
    While clicking save button, I need to store the dynamic table datau2019s to back end system. I can able to store the data to back end system. After form data getting saved those particular values need to display in the adobe form.
    Here I am facing a problem.
    I cannot able to view as a default value in the drop down, which I have selected some values after save operation I am not getting any values in the drop down as a default.
    Example:
    The dynamic table contains 5 rows (Each and every row Drop down contains one to ten values).
    1)     I have selected second value in the Drop down (ROW1)
    2)     I have selected fourth value in the Drop down (ROW2)
    3)     I have selected fifth value in the Drop down (ROW3)
    4)     I have selected seventh value in the Drop down (ROW4)
    5)     I have selected third value in the Drop down (ROW5)
    I press the save button that particular Drop down value gets saved in back end system and that particular values want display in the Drop down as a default value.
    How to resolve this problem.

  • Here's how to use DYNAMIC tables for almost any structure (4.6C onwards)

    Hi guys
    I'm describing a  feature  here that has been around since 4.6C that is not really well known but can really simplfy programming where you need to get data into some sort of internal table and then display it either as a classical list or as al ALV grid.
    This feature is RTTI which allows you to retrieve your structure, build a dynamic FCAT (Field catalog) and a Dynamic table.
    Here's a really quick little program which reads 200 entries from VAPMA into a dynamic table. Any structure will work if you use the code sample shown.
    To pass it to an ALV GRID  is then really simple as you've already got the Field Catalog, Table and Data.
    The method I'm showing below will work for almost ANY structure you care to name whether or not the fields are in the data dictionary.
    I create a dynamic FCAT and dynamic table based on the FCAT and then populate it.
    You can create field catalogs dynamically quite simply by using the new RTTI facility available from 4.6C onwards.
    (From here it's only a small step to dynamic tables and EASY ALV grid displays)
    Example to create dynamic FCAT and table and populate it with 200 entries from VAPMA
    PROGRAM ZZ_BUILD_FLDCATALOG.
    tables: vapma.
    Define any structure
    types: begin of s_elements,
    vbeln type vapma-vbeln,
    posnr type vapma-posnr,
    matnr type vapma-matnr,
    kunnr type vapma-kunnr,
    werks type vapma-werks,
    vkorg type vapma-vkorg,
    vkbur type vapma-vkbur,
    status type c,
    end of s_elements.
    end of your structure
    data lr_rtti_struc type ref to cl_abap_structdescr .
    data:
    zog like line of lr_rtti_struc->components .
    data:
    zogt like table of zog,
    wa_it_fldcat type lvc_s_fcat,
    it_fldcat type lvc_t_fcat ,
    dy_line type ref to data,
    dy_table type ref to data.
    data: dref type ref to data.
    field-symbols: <fs> type any,
    <dyn_table> type standard table,
    <dyn_wa>.
    *now I want to build a field catalog
    *First get your data structure into a field symbol
    create data dref type s_elements.
    assign dref->* to <fs>.
    lr_rtti_struc ?= cl_abap_structdescr=>describe_by_data( <fs> ).
    zogt[] = lr_rtti_struc->components.
    Now build the field catalog.  zogt has the structure in it from RTTI.
    loop at zogt into zog.
    clear wa_it_fldcat.
    wa_it_fldcat-fieldname = zog-name .
    wa_it_fldcat-datatype = zog-type_kind.
    wa_it_fldcat-inttype = zog-type_kind.
    wa_it_fldcat-intlen = zog-length.
    wa_it_fldcat-decimals = zog-decimals.
    wa_it_fldcat-coltext = zog-name.
    wa_it_fldcat-lowercase = 'X'.
    append wa_it_fldcat to it_fldcat .
    endloop.
    Let's create a dynamic table and populate it
    call method cl_alv_table_create=>create_dynamic_table
    exporting
    it_fieldcatalog = it_fldcat
    importing
    ep_table = dy_table.
    assign dy_table->* to <dyn_table>.
    create data dy_line like line of <dyn_table>.
    assign dy_line->* to <dyn_wa>.
    select vbeln posnr matnr kunnr werks vkorg vkbur
    up to 200 rows
    from vapma
    into corresponding fields of table <dyn_table>.
    from here you can pass your table to a GRID for display etc etc.
    Cheers
    Jimbo

    Thanks for the info.
    I went to their web site and also Googled.
    I found a great review on their photographer's books on nikonians.org
    They use an HP/Indigo Ultrastream 3000 digital offset press for all hardcover books, which is GREAT!
    I did sign up and requested the 45 day trial "photographer" account.
    I am curious if Shared Ink offers a size that matches the ONLY current book size from Aperture, the odd 8.5x11.
    In the above review, I saw that Shared Ink offers a 12x12 book.. very nice! Except you will need to design that one in CS2
    So then, all that Apple really needs to do is simply add the ability to select/create custom book sizes. Then we don't need a printing service from Apple, as there are plenty of options out there, and more arriving on the market each month!

  • Dynamic table in JSP

    Hi,
    We need some help regarding an unusual problem we are facing in our web application.
    The background:-
    We have a web page (JSP) for updating (adding, modifying, deleting) data from a single table. This page has been designed in such a way that when ever it is invoked, it displays content of the entire table on the page. Also there is a facility of filtering this content. The entire table content is displayed in a dynamic table without paging. There is one java script which is used to manage the scrolling of this table (300 rows at a time). Please not that it is just scrolling that is controlled by the Java Script, that is the entire table is displayed in a specific area with vertical scroll. Each row in this table has a radio button associated with it which is used to select a particular row for modifying it. User can select a single row at a time.
    The problem:-
    This page was working fine, until the number of rows in the table were under 70,000 records. Currently there are more than 72,000 records and the page doesnt get displayed at all. It is not giving timeout error and also it is not going in to Not Responding state. It is simply showing a blank result page without the result table. Initially we thought that because we are fetching so much data in one go this would have been happening. But this problem arises only when we access this page from PC having Windows-XP operating system. If we access this page through a PC having Windows 2003 Server OS then it displays the entire table in a normal fashion.
    We are in the process of redesigning the page, but still want to know why this is happening. It will be a great help if anybody can give any pointer on this issue. And also what should be a better option of displaying such a huge table for modification of rows.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Jagdish.

    Thanks a lot masoodmjan.
    Lets assume that this problem is due to huge data being desplayed at once. Now if I decide to provide pagination to browse this entire recordset, which now has grown to 90000+ records, how many rows should I desplay on 1 page? Is there any thumb rule to decide this number?
    Just now I tried with 10,000 records per page & it took more than 25minutes to display single page. :(

  • Dynamic Table in PDF - only first row passed to the WD Java

    Hi Experts,
    I'm working with Web Dynpro for Java on WAS 2004s SP13, ADS for SP13 and LiveCycle Designer 7.1
    I am facing a problem related to PDF-dynamic table generation.
    I am creating the PDF form with a dynamic table, an empty row will be added, when ADD button is clicked, the row will be deleted when DELETE button is clicked. After form submit, only first row of the table is passed to the Web Dynpro. I'v tried to use different dataSource Context node structure without results. The structure diescribed in the thread [Dynamic Table -  same data repeating in all rows;  doesnt works for me. The same happend if i try to folow the advise from Wiki https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/WDJava/Creating%20Table%20in%20Interacting%20form%20using%20Web%20Dynpro.
    Beside this,  my DropDown list in the table column is not populated. I know how to populate the DropDown list outside of table. That's working fine. But the DropDown in the table just not respond on the click (is not going open). I'm pretty sure that this is a result of a Context node structure/binding issue.
    Please suggest me how can i implement dynamic table and populate the data in table dropdown column.

    Hi Prabhakar,
    You describe exactly my situation. The node which is bound to the table row has cardinality 1..n. Exactly Context structure is:
    node dataSource (cardinality 1..1/ Singleton true) ======> dataSource of the Interactive Form
    subnode TableList (cardinality 1..1/ Singleton true) ======> bound to the table in the Interactive Form
    subnode TableWrapper (cardinality 1..n/ Singleton true) ======> bound to the table row in the Interactive Form
    subnode TableData (cardinality 0..1/ Singleton false) ======> table data
    attribute 1  ====>     Context nodeattribute bound to the table row field
    attribute 2
    This structure is recommanded in the post that I found on the Forum (see the firs hyperlink in my firs post).
    Is this structure correct? Why is not working?
    Your link is not working. Can you post the correct one.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Adnan

  • Could anyone provide sample of WebDynpro Java TableFilter for Dynamic Table

    Hi
    I have a dynamic table I have given a context node as a data source and it executes a Web Service and populates itself based on the resultset of query this node contains no of columns and rows
    The table changes dynamically everytime the user selects different table type
    When I created a TableFilter I used IWDTableColumn from the current view and looped though the context elements and binded the values of attributes of each context element to this column inside a loop. TableSort works, But I  am not able to get the Filter working for the Dynamic Table , when I click on Filter Button the Filter does not filterand  just sorts.
    Not sure what is wrong but if someone can give some inputs,leads I will highly appreciate if some one has  a  sample of WebDynpro Java TableFilter for Dynamic Table
    Thanks in advance,
    Ragu.

    Hi Ragu,
    Please check the link for table filtering.
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/WDJava/GenericTableFilter+Code
    since your dynamic table uses webservice I assume it has fixed context attributes, just put the filter into wdDoModify method everytime you execute/trigger the webservice.

  • Table Pagination for Dynamic Table UI

    Hi Everyone,
    I have add pagination to webdynpro java table UI that displays over 10k records. I went through article "Web Dynpro Java Table Paging Unleashed: Optimizing Heavy Table Performance" by Bertram Ganz - http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/e0d6c30a-c99e-2b10-f09b-c9a00b7e78c6?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true&35661113503451
    But the question is can I use this with a table that is dynamically generated in wdDoModify()? If yes, how can I go about that? If not, is there any alternate solution?
    Ameya

    Works fine with dynamic tables, I created a dynamic filter some time ago. You need (from source code):
    1) Create a 1/1 Node (Filter Node).
    2) Add a Attribute String for each column you need filter, and then set column.bindFilterValue(attribute)
    3) Handle filter event.
    4)  Using CollectionUtils or some like that to filter dataSource for each attribute in Filter Node.

  • Dynamic table with dynamic drop-down list values

    Hi,
    I need to display a dynamic table with 2 columns on an interactive form.
    My Context is defined as below:
    Root
    StudentData     0..n
    StudentName
    StudentCourses     0..n
    Text
    Value
    The 1st column should display student name, 2nd column should display student courses. The courses will be different for each student. I populated the context properly. I checked it by printing them. My DDL is bound to "Student Courses".
    When there is one row -> The DDL is populated with the courses of student 1 (as there is only one).
    When there are more rows -> The DDLs for all the students are populated with all the courses of all the students.
    I want to see the data populated like:
    TEXTFIELD    DROP-DOWN LIST
    Student 1------Student1-Course1
    Student1-Course2
    Student1-Course3
    Student 2------Student2-Course1
    Student2-Course2
    Student2-Course3
    I tried to do this in plain web dynpro using SVS.. it is also working similarly.
    I have set the singleton property of nodes "StudentData" and "StudentCourses" to false.
    Could any one tell me where I am going wrong?
    Thanks
    Ram

    Ram,
    I'm not sure how much this will help, but I know I had the same problem as you when I tried to get a similar thing working, but I can't remember which of the many changes I made fixed the problem, so I'll just show you my code and perhaps you can see if anything is different than yours.
    Here's where I'm creating my dropdown - in my case EastNew_RegOut is the same as your StudentData, and RateTypeDropValues is the same as your StudentCourses (the comments in the code are not meant to sound bossy to you, this is actually an example piece of code that other developers in my company "steal", so I have to put very specific instructions in there!):
    int nodeSize = wdContext.nodeEastNew_RegOut().size();
    for (int i = 0; i < nodeSize; i++) {
         //create an element called "table", that's the element at i.  So, basically it's a row.  Maybe I should have
         //called it "row" instead of table.
         IPublicDeviceExchange.IEastNew_RegOutElement table = (IPublicDeviceExchange.IEastNew_RegOutElement)wdContext.nodeEastNew_RegOut().getElementAt(i);
         //this line of code just executes an rfc that finds out what rates need to be in the dropdown for this particular row
         executeRateTypeDropdown(rateCategory, table.getNum(), wdContext.currentEastNew_MeterOutElement().getReggrp());
         //clear out what's already in there before we re-populate it.
         table.nodeRateTypeDropValues().invalidate();
         //now, I'm looping through all the values in the *actual* rate type dropdown (the one that's an RFC, populated by the above "execute" method)
         for (int j = 0; j < wdContext.nodeEastRatetype_DropdownOut().size(); j++) {
              //for each element in the *actual* Rate type dropdown, I'm going to create an element in my node that I created
              //and set the values from the *actual* one as the values in my node.
                        IPublicDeviceExchange.IRateTypeDropValuesElement element = wdContext.createRateTypeDropValuesElement();
              IPublicDeviceExchange.IEastRatetype_DropdownOutElement rateTypeOut = (IPublicDeviceExchange.IEastRatetype_DropdownOutElement)wdContext.nodeEastRatetype_DropdownOut().getElementAt(j);
              element.setText(rateTypeOut.getText());
              element.setValue(rateTypeOut.getRatetype());
              //here's another key - notice how I don't say wdContext.nodeRateTypeDropValues() - it's the one that's
              //directly off that table I created earlier - the thing that's essentially a row in my newReg table.
              //So, what I'm doing here is adding that new element I created to the dropdown FOR THAT ROW!
              //(btw, if you're trying to duplicate this, and this method does not exist for your "table" object, it's
              //probably because you didn't listen to me above and you didn't create your node with the singleton property
              //set to false.)
              table.nodeRateTypeDropValues().addElement(element);
    As for my layout... my table is bound to the EastNew_RegOut node, and the column with the dropdown is bound to RateTypeDropValues.Value  (that's probably obvious, but there you have it anyway)
    Finally, in my context, EastNew_RegOut is singleton = true (I was surprised about this, actually, I would have assumed it was false) with a selection of 0..1 and RateTypeDropValues has singleton set to false with a selection of 0..1
    I hope that helps to some degree!

  • How to handle Adobe Form - Dynamic Tables.

    Experts:
    I am new to Web DynPro for ABAP and Adobe Interactive forms.
    I have created a Adobe form with dynamic table. When I submit the form, WD4A is able to read only the first row of the table. Other rows are getting lost.
    I thought just binding with the context will trasfer data from Adobe to WD4A. But it is not happending.
    Do I need to write any code in WD4A and any script in Adobe Designer?
    Can any one send me a sample code (ABAP and JavaScript). Even link to that will be very useful.
    Thanks,
    Vijai

    Thomas:
    My context is as follows.
    <CHANGING>
      <REQUISITION_ITEMS>
        <ELEMENT..1>
        <ELEMENT..2>
        <ELEMENT..3>
    The cardinality of <CHANGING> node is 1..1 and the cardinality of  <Requisition_items> is 1..n.

  • Xfa.host.gotoURL() in Adobe Reader / Dynamic Tables with AcroForms?

    Hi All,
    I have a dynamic table in my LifeCycle form. Each table row contains a button that links to an external PDF file (using xfa.host.gotoURL). The links work fine in Acrobat 8 Pro, so far, so good... But when clicking the buttons in Reader 8, nothing happens. No error message or security warning, nothing...
    I searched the web and some forums for this problem and by reading between the lines of some posts I came to guess that my LifeCycle form will not work in Adobe Reader unless I purchase the respective LifeCycle Extensions license... :-/
    What exactly are my options now? Can I get the buttons to work in Adobe Reader somehow (using JS) without having to purchase the Reader Extensions? Or can I somehow recreate the dynamic table of the LifeCycle form using AcroForms in Acrobat 8 Pro to avoid the problem? If so, how do I add such a table using Acrobat's form tools...?
    Thanks for your help,
    Marcus

    Normal http://... URLs do indeed work, but relative URLs pointing to local files do not work with the Adobe Reader on my machine. I thought this might be due to a security restriction that can only be overcome by using the Reader Extensions...?
    Is there any other way of linking to other PDFs on the local machine than the gotoURL method? I also tried launchApp(), but it didn't work either.
    I currently use this statement to link to PDFs in a subfolder:
    xfa.host.gotoURL("TrainingGuides/"
    + docName + ".pdf", 1);

  • Only first row of dynamic table saves to pdf

    Please help me with this.  I have a dynamic table in an xdp that can grow by adding rows (called details).  This appears to work in the browser, when I edit.  However, when I save to pdf, only the top row saves.  Any idea why the entire table is not saving to the PDF?  Thanks in advance.

    Yes, I experienced this problem just today. I have a dynamic form created in Live Cycle Designer that has one table with a control that permits the user to expand rows in the table through the Instance Manager. I am assuming that is where my problem is. The table adds/deletes rows effectively, but when I distribute the form, the corresponding response file is created with only fields for one row in this table.
    When you begin collecting responses, if a user submits a completed form with more than one row in the dynamic table, an error message will be generated that the form data doesn't match the response file structure. If you ignore the error and save the reponse, all rows beyond Row 1 will not be saved.
    I have not solved the design/coding issue yet, but I did develop a workaround. I opened the form_distributed.pdf and filled-out a bogus response, filling in as many rows in the dynamic table as I thought the universe of users would create. I then submitted the form. I then opened the submitted response and was prompted by Adobe to save the pdf to the response file. I checked save it to another file, then merely replaced the existing form_responses.pdf that only had 1 set of fields for Row 1. With the save, it now has fields to accept up to the number of rows I added in the bogus submission. I export to a cvs file then edit the field names to avoid duplicate field name issues in subsequent data analysis.
    There clearly must be a better and more eloquent solution.
