BO Finance - Displaying Reporting Currency/scaling outside of package

Dear All,
Was wondering if anyone had the issue with displaying package currency and scaling outside of the package i.e. when running schedules outside of the package for analysis purposes....
current header syntax:
OBJECT(_CURPACKAGE)!PK-DATENCUR!NAME & "in" & OBJECT (_CURPACKAGE)!PK-DATAENCUR!CUSCALING!SDESC
It works fine when opening the schedule within the package, but it has available the package currency.
thanks

Yes, it's running here.
Remember that this solution only works if you have specified one reporting unit in your schedule or all reporting units or values from filter which will be shown itemized. If it's not itemized it doesn't work cause you cannot aggregate different currencies.
Was this answer a little bit helpful?

  • Display selected currency translation type in BEX webappl report

    Hi everybody,
we use currency translation at query runtime. We do not select the translation type in the variable screen but use the possibility with Context menu -> Calculations and Translations -> Global Currency Translation
Everything works fine, the conversion is done correctly BUT I want somehow display the selected tranlation type on the report! Is this possible? As I know there is the possibility in web applications to call a class method at runtime, maybe there exists a function module or class which can return the actual translation type used.
There must be something like that because when I select the context menu "Gloabl Currency Translation" again a second time, the actual translation type is selected in the combo box.
We also need the information on the generated pdf dokuments.
    Thanks for any hints!
    Regards
    Oskar

    Dear Oskar,
have you found a way to display the currency translation info in web report? Or could somebody give me enlightment whether this is possible? Thank you in advance.

  • Improper display with Currency/Unit in drilldown

    Hi ,
There are 2 KFs in the query , 2nd KF is one level down (i.e inside the triangle of first KF) .
    KF's are :
    Net value
    Net val in doc currency
when i drill down on Currency/unit it just drills down by statistics currency (i.e for first KF) it doesn't display other currencies for KF Net val in doc currency .
But when i bring the 2nd KF to same level as first KF (i.e outside triangle) it works properly .
Can any one tell me the reason if you had a similar case .
I think it's some front end problem ?
    Thanks
    Gururaj

    Gururaj,
I think that it is normal behaviour.
When you drill down by currency, the 1st KF is drilled down. For example, after drill down you have several rows (columns) with particular statistics currencies.
The currency shown in each particular row (column) acts like a filter for subordinate nodes.
If your doc currency doesn't equal to statistics currency, nothing will be shown.
    Best regards,
    Eugene

  • Crystal Reports Currency Symbol Problems

  • While displaying Local currency(JPY)....

    Hi,
Here when I was displaying local currency for JPY the amount is displaying 188.76 instead of 18,876.
Can any body tell me why it is so.
    I am displaying in ALV.
Can I know how to overcome out of this in ALV and in normal reporting.
    Thanks in advance.
Message was edited by: Deepak333 k

    Hi
check the table TCURX for enter JPY, in this table you can see how many decimals are allowed for a currency.
There is zero decimals for JPY, so 18,876 are stored as 188.76.
If you wrote: WRITE '188.76' CURRENCY 'JPN', you'll see 18,876.
So in your catalog table, for the field amount, you should indicate the reference currency field (CFIELDNAME and CTABNAME) or set JPN in the field CURRENCY.

  • KE30 report - currency selection

    HI Community,
I am looking for a possibility to select a "report" currency in the selection screen of a KE30 report.
In general, when I am executing a KE30 report (e.g. in OPCON currency = EUR) I have the possiblity to translate the report output in any currency I want via defining an exchange rate. How can I bring in this funtionality already in the selection screen before report execution, or predefine it?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hiya,
I am aware of converting a report into the currency you need by using the "Currency" option, but this is AFTER the report is displayed in the Op Co (B0) / Co Code (10) currency. I've never seen this kind of requirement before probably because this will affect the report performance adversely.
Once you run a report, if you need it displayed in a different currency, you simply pick the currency and the system recalculates all the displayed figures to the said currency at one specified rate. It does not convert each COPA line item individually, and rightly so since that is not clever design.
You could play a bit with the TWAER characteristic or create your own, but I wouldn't go there. As long as there is a way displaying the report in the required currency (using the "Currency" option I mentioned above), the purpose is solved.
    Cheers.

  • Limit on Number of Reporting Currencies

What is the maximum number of reporting currencies one could create in Oracle. I could not find the limit specified in Oracle R12 documentation. Can someone point out where Oracle has specified the limit if there is any? Thanks.

In theory, no. Certainly not one that you're going to hit unless you're planning on hitting a triple digit number of nodes.
In practice, as you add nodes, the scaling factor decreases, so adding nodes gets less and less bang for the buck as you add additional nodes. Most applications (particularly those not designed with massive scale-out in mind) have various bottlenecks that tend to get more and more apparent as additional nodes are added which require more and more tuning efforts to identify and remove. So your application(s) most likely impose much lower practical caps on the number of nodes than Oracle does.

  • Displaying one currency symbol per page on groups

I have a report that displays data at grouped levels only.  I need to display the currency symbol only once per page on certain fields.  While this works on the detail section, it's not working on the group header/footer sections.  Does any one know how to limit the currency symbol to one per page on a grouped field?  Thanks.

Hoperfully this will make my problem a little more clear:
My report groups on FIELD_A and sums $FIELD_B at the group level.  The report displays Group Footer 1 which contains the group name FIELD_A and the sum of $FIELD_B.  The user can drill down on the FIELD_A group  to see the detail.  I only want the currency symbol for the sum of $FIELD_B to be displayed once on each page - on the first line of each page.  When I format the sum of $FIELD_B field at the FIELD_A group level, the "display currency symbol once per page" option does not work.  I could use a conditional statement to set the currency symbol for the sum of $FIELD_B but I'm don't know how to determine if the sum of $FIELD_B is the first instance of the field on a page.
         GROUP FOOTER1     GROUP FIELD_A     SUM($FIELD_B)
         DETAIL          FIELD_A          $FIELD_B

I checked cache <o-h>\reports\cache, the report is there. But nothing is show on screen.
Do I HAVE TO use web.show_document('url') to display report in cache?
If yes, what url I should use? If no (hope so), what I should do to bring the report to browser?
