  • Web Services SDK (Java API)

    Hi,
    By using Web Services SDK (Java API) can I extract the Table,Join information related to a Universe?
    If so, then can you please give me some guidelines?
    Thanks
    Nirabhra

    Hi Nirabhra,
    I don't think this is possible with the Web Services SDK.
    This can only be done through the Universe Designer SDK (which is only available in COM).
    Please kindly refer to the API reference for the Universe Designer SDK for more details:

    Hope this helps.

  • BO SDK Java API to create Universe

    I am trying to create Universe using BO SDK, please tell me the api through which we can create Universe using BO SDK
    Thanks in advance

    Hello Michael.
    There is no Java SDK that can be used to create universes.  There is a COM SDK that can create universes.  The documentation for it can be found at the following link:
    Link: [Universe Designer COM SDK|http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/boexir31SP3/en/bodessdk.zip]
    Please take a look.
    I hope this helps for you to get started.

  • Is there Java API available for third-party integrations with SCCM 2012? I went through the "Developer's Survival Guide", and it seems that SCCM 2012 SDKs only support C# and PowerShell

    Hi All,<o:p></o:p>
    My team and I are developing a software using java that works closely with IT management software such as SCCM. Our software will be highly dependent on data stored in SCCM. Basically
    our software will talk to SCCM to get information about a system managed by SCCM. To be able to do that, our software needs to use a java API that talks to SCCM. Is there a java API for SCCM 2012 that we can use? If there is not, what is the work around to
    this issue (integrate a java project with SCCM SDKs)? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!<o:p></o:p>

    Hi,
    As you mentioned, it seems that there is no available Java API for SCCM .
    Just curious, what's information you want to get from SCCM.
    Based on my experience, you could query the SCCM site database to get almost all the information.
    Otherwise, your question seems to be related to SCCM 2012. You may also choose to post there to get more effictive help.

  • Does Acrobat have a Java API/SDK??

    Does Adobe acrobat XI provides a Java API or SDK. I need to use the functionality of acrobat that converts the pdf to xml, using  File->Save As Other ->More Options-> XML 1.0 ??

    Hi @Mandeep
    Thanks for your time. I appreciate it.
    I knew that, there are these three ways to communicate with acrobat:
    JavaScript
    Plug-ins
    Interapplication Communication
    But still does not able to get alligned with what is my requirement. Means still unable to get the XML as output.
    So can you please explain a bit more, that what way should I go among those three or else If you can provide some code for the same, that would be great for me.
    Thanks

  • Performance of Java API 2

    Hello,
    we are currently using Java API 2 that comes with MDM 5.5 SP5 (Build 5.5.42.65) to read extended information from the mdm repository.
    Our process:
    We are export every product as a XML file over the MDM Syndicator and enrich this file with extended information from the API (This step is needed because we cannot export all data by the Syndicator, for example multilingual attributes / some product data like textblocks / id's for incremental updates ...).
    Actually the performance is really bad, we need ca. 10-15 secs to process one file, that is really frustrating when you have stored near 70.000 products in your repository.
    Are there some tricks to improve the performance or is the API really so slow? Or any better alternatives for an fast export?
    Thanks for your help ....
    Best Regards,
    Jan

    1 - If you are able to use the EJB connection with the LiveCycle SDK classes (you have are using a supported java version such as 1.5_xx, your network security doesn't prevent RMI calls, etc.) then that is your best bet.
    2 - Yes, you will need the java APIs to be accessible for your application. The LiveCycle APIs have remote EJB endpoints so you can access them from another server.
    3 - There are samples that ship with the LiveCycle server (located in your LCInstall\LiveCycle_ES_SDK\samples\Forms). There are also samples on the LiveDocs page at: http://livedocs.adobe.com/livecycle/8.2/programLC/programmer/help/000064.html

  • Building customize component using java API

    Hi,
    Appreciate for hepls... being trying this for few days...:(
    I am trying to build a customize component to use in a process using adobe java API. I follow the document and include all the necessary lib files. It compiled with no errors. And I pack it into JAR file and deploy to the workbench, no error. Then I call the customized component method and it throw the error as below, is merely cause by "Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com.adobe.idp.taskmanager.dsc.client.TaskManagerClientFactory
    ". Portion of my code is as follow.
    What did I miss out? I include the libs file as stated in the document. Do I need to specify the class-path in a manifest file? How? It is not mentioned in the document. Is the "adobe-taskmanager-client-sdk.jar" pack in one of the ear or war file in the App server's (I'm using websphere) installedApp directory?
    Really appreciate for help... Is there any documents describing the deployment details. The sdk document is not very detail...

    Thanks WorkflowUser,
    I manage to solve the NoClassDefFound problem in any other way. Will try your method.
    What I do is I add the adobe-taskmanager-client-sdk.jar file to my customize component jar file (at root). And I add the classpath tag for the adobe-taskmanager-client-sdk.jar to the component.xml file. But when the customise component is run at a process. Another problem occured. I got an exception "com.adobe.idp.taskmanager.dsc.client.query.TaskRowImpl incompatible with com.adobe.idp.taskmanager.dsc.client.query.TaskRow".
    It is cause by the following code,
    TaskManager myTaskManager = TaskManagerClientFactory.getTaskManager(myFactory);
    TaskFilter filter = queryProcess.newTaskFilter();
    StatusFilter sf = filter.newStatusFilter();
    sf.addStatus(StatusFilter.completed);
    filter.setStatusFiltering(sf);
    List result = queryProcess.taskList(filter);
    Iterator iter = result.iterator();
    int i = 0 ;
    while (iter.hasNext()) {
    TaskRow myTask = (TaskRow)iter.next(); //CAUSE BY THIS!!!
    long taskId = myTask.getTaskId();
    I try using this: TaskRowImpl myTask = (TaskRowImpl)iter.next();
    also give exception error. Does it have to do with the compilation, the java version. My websphere is runing 1.5, and I compile using the same version... Any ideal? Thanks...

  • Help with Essbase 9 and the Java API

    Hi, I am trying to connect to Essbase from a Java desktop application and I am unable to do so. I need to know if I am in principle doing the right things and if I have the correct environment set up.
    We have a server with Essbase version 9.3.1. We normally use essbase via the Excel Addin, and I have already written Excel applications that utilise both the addin and the Essbase VB API. Now I need to connect to Essbase but from outside Excel and using the Java API. I have no idea what APS is nor does my Essbase Administrator.
    My application has the following code (adapted from a post in this forum) -
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    String s_userName = "user";
    String s_password = "password";
    String s_olapSvrName = "ustca111";
    String s_provider = "http://localhost:13080/aps/JAPI";
    try{
    IEssbase ess = IEssbase.Home.create(IEssbase.JAPI_VERSION);
    IEssDomain dom = ess.signOn(s_userName, s_password, false, null, s_provider);
    IEssOlapServer olapSvr = dom.getOlapServer(s_olapSvrName);
    olapSvr.connect();
    System.out.println("Connection to Analyic server '" + olapSvr.getName() + "' was successful.");
    olapSvr.disconnect();
    }catch(EssException exp){
    System.out.println(exp.getMessage());
    I am running my application on my computer, not on the Essbase server, and the username I am using is the same one I use (as a user of Essbase) via the Essbase Addin in Excel, not an admin login.
    When I run the app I get:
    "Cannot connect to Provider Server.Make sure the signon parameters are correct and the Provider Server is running."
    Please can you confirm:
    1) Do I need an admin login for my client application to connect to the Essbase server or can I use a normal read-access login, like the one I use in Excel?
    2) Is the provider always the same regardless of the computer, i.e. "http://localhost:13080/aps/JAPI"; How do I know what this has to be? Where do I get this information from?
    3) How can I make sure that the Server is running the necessary "Provider Server", is this just a service that will show on services.msc of the server? What should I ask the Essbase Administrator for him to tell me what I need?
    Thank you very much.
    Leo

    Tim, when I look in my computer's Essbase installation path I can only find the following jar files (from the ones you have listed).
    C:\Hyperion\AnalyticServices\JavaAPI\external\css\log4j-1.2.8.jar
    C:\Hyperion\AnalyticServices\JavaAPI\lib\ess_es_server.jar
    C:\Hyperion\AnalyticServices\JavaAPI\lib\ess_japi.jar
    I do not have css-9_3_1.jar or interop-sdk.jar.
    In order to try the embedded mode, I added the three jars I have to the classpath, and have re-built and ran with "embedded" as the provider. This is what I got in my output screen:
    run:
    Error accessing the properties file. essbase.properties: essbase.properties (The system cannot find the file specified). Using default values.

    As you can see, this has worked (as I get the data I was looking for at the end), but when I had the url in the provider string, I just get the below, without the initial errors:
    run:
    Scenario Markets Total Legal Entities Products

    BUILD SUCCESSFUL (total time: 2 seconds)
    Now that I can get both modes to work I intend to write a Windows application, place it in a shared drive, and allow multiple users to use it. Which mode should I use?
    By the way, I found the essbase.properties file in C:\Hyperion\AnalyticServices\JavaAPI\bin, but when I add it to my app and test it in embedded mode, I get even more errors, but it still gives me the result...output below:

  • Adobe Java API

    Hello and thank you for your valuable time.  I'll get right to it - I have PDFs and I need to extract certain text elements from it.  Not all elements, just certain ones.  I do know the x/y/width/height of the elements I need.  I want to be able to make one or more calls from my Java program to a Java program to get the text.  I was thinking there would be something like the SDK that's available now from Adobe but one that would be for Java and not one that's specific to Windows (VB, CPP, etc.).  Does something like this exist from Adobe or do I need to use something like PDFBox/iText?
    Thanks again.

    Adobe Reader doesn't have a Java API.

  • Two questions on dynamic parameter from java API point of view

    Hi,
    We have a requirement for dynamic parameters in crystal reports that need to be executed in java application. Since, crystal java framework do not support the dynamic parameter execution (please correct me if I am wrong), we plan to execute explicitly the query for getting the dynamic values of such dynamic parameters before listing the parameters in java application.
    The query for the dynamic parameter will be given in the field 'Prompt Group Text' of the parameter.
    I coudl not get hold of these details from java api. So please some one help me out.
    Environment - Crystal X1 R2 with java libraries
    1. How can we identify a parameter is a dynamic one?
    2. How to get the 'Prompt Group Text' field value?
    Any suggestions welcome.
    Thanks,
    Ratan.

    There are these two methods in the Business Objects Enterprise SDK Developer Libary:
    byte[]   getDynamicCascadePromptData()
               Returns a collection that contains dynamic cascading prompt data.
    java.lang.String getDynamicCascadePromptGroupID()
                            Returns a dynamic cascade prompt group ID.
    For more information on what is available through available SDK's, please refer to the following link:

  • Java API for SSO

    Is there a Java SSO class that I can call in my java program. This program is not running as a portlet and it's outside of the portal framework but in the same application server? If so, are there any examples that I can follow?

    Yes, check out this link, and you'll need to download the SSO SDK.
    http://otn.oracle.com/sample_code/products/iportal/htdocs/sso/ssoover.html
    There is very little documentation on this (this page is the only page I've found), but if you follow the example, you should be able to make it work, then tailor it to your needs. Thats what I have done.
    Let me know if you have specific questions (via email for better response time), as I have just gone through a couple of days of getting this up an running and have a decent grasp on whats going on.
    Maybe someone else can point us to more examples for using the SSO SDK? Does anybody know where to get the complete Oracle Business Rules Java API Reference ?
    The version on http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/web.1013/b28966/toc.htm is incomplete. It is missing the entire "oracle.rules.sdk.ruleset" package.
