BO slow when accessing reports through the web but not with a installed client.

Hi
We have installed BO 4.0 SP08 in a virtual machine with 32 RAM and 8 CPU processors. We have divided the APS in a number of instance with different services. We have also 8 Web Intelligence Processing servers.
The application is slow when trying to create or view a report from the web browser (ie or chrome). If we use the installed Web Rich Client on a machine, then it works fine.
Does anyone knows why?
thanks
Teresa

Any ideas??
I don’t know, but whatever it is, it’s preventing you from creating complete sentences.
Run the Apple Hardware Test as described on page 101 of your owner’s manual to see if it detects any problems.

  • Why would the audio play through the headphones but not the speakers?

I am working on an app that has embedded video. The audio works fine through my speakers and headphones as it does for some of my coworkers, but I also have other coworkers who get audio through the headphones but not the speakers. It's a variety of devices, 4, 4S, and 5. Any thoughts?

If you are working on developing an app perhaps you should try the developers forum.

running a report from the web server via URL / cgicmd.dat file
report runs fine from developer tool, naturally

report has single ref cursor query from pacakged procedure returning 4 column record type, all defined in same package
order of columns all appear to be the same, datatypes too
    ideas?

Another developer created a new function that my ref cursor query used.
It had an error, thereby causing the ref cursor to fail.... the report failed.
I think more error handlers are necessary.

  • View Access Reports on the web Through Sharepoint?

I am using MS Access 2010 as a front-end to a 2008 SQL Server back-end.  Reports produced are complex and printed in PDF form.  I want to make them available for viewing on the web. This will prove very useful to customers that make changes to
the SQL data and want to see a new report.  The reports are already designed and saved in the MS Access database under various report names.
    Questions:
    1) How can I execute a saved MS 2010 Access Report from an asp page where the customer makes data changes?
    2) Once the new MS Access Report is created, how do I retrieve it to show to the customer?
I assume Sharepoint Server will work for this purpose, but after numerous web searches, I am confused about what I am seeing as to whether it can definitely do it or not.
FYI ... I also design web pages via Visual Studio 2010 if that makes a difference for integration purposes.
    Steve

The standard answer to this, is that you'll need to publish the database to sharepoint using Access Services.  Once your database is inside of SharePoint as a site, you still have to make sure that SSRS is functioning, because that's what's used in
the browser to display the reports.

  • Error when running reports on the WEB

    Hi,
I have been successful in deploying our application on the Web,
using WebDB listener, Developer Server, Report Server and JInitiator 1.1.7.18.
Now the forms on the web runs fine without any problem but
when I run Reports from Forms using RUN_PRODUCT built-in by passing parameters from Forms to Reports it generates this following error: REP-0081-Error During I/O operation and REP-0110: Unable to open file "<<file>>.html" scaba 14.
The strange thing about the REP-0110 is, it refer to a path that is not defined in my registry(FORMS60_OUTPUT,_MAPPING, REPORTS60_PATH,_TMP,_WEBLOC,_WEBLOC_TRANSLATED) and neither my physical directory in the directory mappings which I defined on the web server. (I refer to a the path mindpack4.1 and the REP-0110 refer to mindpack4_1)
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hello pals,
i have set the following parameters: TMPDIR and REPORTS60_TMP...
and it seems to be working!!!
i hope that the problem is not somewhere else.
NB. I was having problems with 2 reports only. the others were
    working fine.
any comments will be most welcomed.

  • Why when I click restore, does it go through the motions but not actually change any of the data to match the last backup?

So I just got a new computer and when I added Itunes it's missing over half the songs. My old computer is useless so I cant get the songs from there. I thought I might be able to transfer the songs from my ipod to the itunes but in case that didnt work I backed up my ipod. When the itunes only erased the songs i had and added their less than half full list I immediatly stopped the sync and restored from my last backup. Itunes and my ipod go through the motions like its going to work but my ipod still only has the songs which are on this itunes even though the intallation never finished. Why is this happening and how can i get my songs back?
Why is it that apple has never made transferring your songs when you get a new computer any easier? It is the most frustrating thing.

Synced media like songs and apps are not included in the iPod backup that iTunes makes. Thus, if that media is not in the iTunes library it can be restore to the iPod.
You can redownload most iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store

  • Why are some of my movies purchased from my iPad syncing with my iTunes when I sync through the cable but others aren't?

I purchased about 5 or 6 movies not that long ago on my iPad, but once I went to sync them with my computer (through the cable), 2 of them didnt sync (21 Jump Street and Driver), is there any solution to this?

Are you using iTunes Match?  If so, try keeping it working on your computer but turning it off on your iPad (in Settings > Music).

  • MBP Airport consistently disconnecting from the Web, but not the network

My MacBook Pro Airport has been cutting in and out - or at least the Web access has - when I use it in combination with a DLink router. The local wireless network connection always seems to stay connected (or at least it says it's connected), but I can't access the Web. It has shown these symptoms when used in combination with other routers too, but only when I use it with the DLink first and then move to another network.
I can sometimes fix the problem by a combination of restarting OS X and resetting the PRAM, and restarting the router. However, this doesn't always fix the problem, and even if it did, I'd probably be doing it at least once a day with the current frequency of disconnections. So I'd like to get to the route of the problem.
An ethernet connection to the DLink router always works without a hitch.
Does anyone have any suggestions or any knowledge that might help resolve this?

    Just remembered I have the 'self assigned IP' error too. There seems to be a fair few posts about this issue. I haven't found a definitive fix yet, but these posts might hold some clues;
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=6710925&#6710925
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=6708778&#6708778
The second post suggests applying the 'Disconnect from wireless network when logging out', which I've applied, because I've noticed that I often see the problem when I put my MBP to sleep.
p.s. Last year I quick-fixed this issue by attaching a Buffalo wireless router to the network as an extension and connecting to that instead of the Dlink. But I just gave the Buffalo to someone, having forgotten about the issues with connecting to the DLink.

  • IWeb 08 pages show on the web but not in iWeb

iWeb 08 was working fine until I attempted to update pages that were originally made in the previous version of iWeb. Although the pages display on the .mac website, I cannot load or edit the pages within iWeb. I have two files in Library>Application Support>iWeb Domain.site and domain.sites2. Launching iWeb from either file still does not correct the problem. Another piece of the puzzle: an error message appears that states that two images are missing upon launching, and when I click on one of the pages that won't load, the error message: Missing File, color-profile-1

I followed the topic concerning the Firefox photoalbum problem but I´m using Safari and the albums will not show up on the web !!!! I also exchanged the detailview and headercontrol *js which worked fine for opening the photoalbum on my harddisk with firefox. But when its uploaded to the server it won´t display and that in Safari!!!! On the published folder on my harddisk everything works fine

  • My 5d Mark II won't show focus properly through the viewfinder but can with liveview?

I absentmindedly let my 5D Mark II jostle around a little today and now when looking through the viewfinder it's seemingly not focusing properly, yet when pressing the shutter button it shoots the photo in perfect focus as long as I focus it correctly in the first place. When I switch it to liveview mode, it also focuses fine. I'm also hearing a weird noise when it's shutting down, but this could just be placebo considering I haven't had it for all that long and just may have never heard the noise before. Could this be an issue with the viewfinder picking up the focused image, or the camera itself is having an issue?

When the camera performs it's self-cleaning it uses a piezoelectric effect to "vibrate" a filter located in front of the sensor (when you look at a "sensor" inside the camera you area really looking at a filter in front of the sensor... dirt and dust would actually be on the filter -- nothing is able to touch the sensor itself.)
Also... the focus screen on the 5D II is replaceable with optional focus screens.  The focus screen is a frosted screen which rests in a tray (a frame).  The back of the frame is hinged.  The front clips in to the top of the camera.
    See:  http://www.learn.usa.canon.com/app/pdfs/quickguides/CDLC_FocusingScreens_QuickGuide.pdf
This may have come loose and your focus screen may not be firmly closed (and this woudl change the focus distance ... resulting in your not being able to see a focused image when looking through the viewfinder and could even account for the rattling noise.)
It is very important that you NOT actually "touch" the focus screen trying to close it.  It is difficult to clean without damaging it and finger oils from touching would be a problem.  Also the cameras metering system is above the screen and smudges can affect the accuracy of the camera metering system.  For this reason, those optional focus screens actually come with a tool included to help you swap screens without ever needing to touch it.
Canon's tools works a bit like a pair of tweezers ... except with a hook on the end.  As you just need to verify that it's locked up in place, you can use something to push the tab up so that you don't have to do this with your fingers.  A popsicle stick, a chopstick, etc. would all work to "close" it, etc. but the tray has a tiny tab which normally needs to be gently pulled toward you to release and lower the screen... but usually just pushing upward (without pulling) will allow it to "snap" back into it's clip.
Here's a video demonstrating how the focus screen compartment is opened and closed.  You can check to make sure yours is closed.  This CPN video demonstrates using a 40D but the operation is identical on your 5D II.

  • I want the 3GS - but not with a noose around my neck

I like the new features in the 3GS, BUT I won't be getting one because of AT&T's punitive pricing tiers for their existing customers. What broke the camel's back for me is the requirement to extend the contract for another 2 years. Is AT&T Wireless so afraid of it's churn rate that it believes that it can't survive without an indentured customer base? This is coming at a time when carriers are starting to revert back to 1-year contracts.
I would have been happy to spend $700 (now) for a 32GB 3GS - BUT I'm not going to pay full price AND extend my contract for 24 months. If I bought the 3GS, I would have then dumped my 16GB 3G on eBay or Craigslist - and that would potentially have given AT&T a new customer. That is AT&T's loss.
I believe that AT&T dropped the ball on this one. IMO, the 3GS purchase options should have been something along the lines of:
    1) pay full price with no contract extension. Why? Because your current contract is already paying off the subsidy on your current phone.
    2) for new customers - purchase a subsidized phone and a new 24 month contract.
    3) for existing customers whose current phone is subsidized - allow customer to pay off the subsidy on the current phone, pay full price with no contract extension or purchase a subsidized phone and extend their contract for another 24 months.
    4) for existing customers greater than 24 months (aka: month-to-month customers) - pay full price with no contract extension or purchase a subsidized phone and extend their contract for another 24 months.
    Check out this link: http://news.cnet.com/8301-13924_3-10263278-64.html
I am eligible for the upgrade in December 2009. My 24 months is up at the end of July 2010. I'll upgrade the battery in my 16GB 3G this autumn to a higher capacity battery - this will extend the life of my iPhone. Then I will wait for the summer of 2010. I want to see if Apple comes out with a new dual-core iPhone in 2010, on a different carrier - or at the very least for the price to become lower.
For now, there are not enough features-to-cost for me to justify paying full price for a 3GS and extending my contract for another 2 years.

Unlike the schmo that wrote that article, I don't have a problem with the subsidy. I just want to be able to purchase the phone outright, pay the activation fee, and not have to extend my contract.
BTW, I logged onto my account and went through the "no committment" upgrade option. It defaulted me to the $499/2-year renewal program. groan
I think I'll have to wait until the phone is in the stores and then drive to the AT&T store in the mall to see if the purchase options are different.

  • New Install - Can access the internet but not with Web Browser

I just installed Solaris 10 11/06 with my new Ultra 20 M2 workstation. I can ping, complete NSLOOKUP commands on public domain names and can telnet; however, when I try to use the browser it says it cannot connect to the internet. I made sure of the following:
    - Web Browser is not using proxy
    - resolv.conf is accurate
    - defaultrouter is accurate
    - hosts, hostname.. are good
    - netmasks is fine.
Any thoughts? thanks for your help.

Is there a firewall between the server and the internet, try telneting the fully qualified domain name again but on port 80 (or 8080) (i.e. telnet www.yahoo.com 80), do you have another machine on this network that can access the internet through a browser (if so check it's settings) also if you have an intranet see if the browser can access that, if these don't work then the problem is settings\config in your browser.
also try a traceroute and see where the packets are routed and how many hops it takes.
