BO Webi report giving WIJ 20003 exception

Hi,
I have a webi report which consists of some calculated fields based on Dataprovider SQL. A Report variable has been created to compare two columns and if they are equal then value is set to 1s otherwise, 0s. Based on the 1s I get, I want to display these rows only i.e. I have placed a filter where variable vaule is 1s. When I try to run the report, it gives me the following exception/error:

Variable is Var Display=If([Var Col1]=[Var Col2];1;0)
and then using Filter Pane add this variable equal to 1.

Not sure really if is it because of blank cells. I made a copy of the original report to identify what's the issue. what i observed was i refreshed the report successfully then it didn't give me any errors & i didn't see any #Syntax error in any column after i refreshed the report. But once i refreshed the report and saved it, then next time when you open the report in modify mode or schedule the report you will see this error.
Later i have opened the query in Modify mode & edited the query then i saw a pop up saying unresolvable objects error. Then i ran the query again and saved the report, closed it & reopened the webi report. Then i didn't see this error again. Also verified by scheduling the report, i was able to open the instance without any errors.
So the conclusion is, because you have some unresolvable objects in the query when you refresh the report and save it, the report gets corrupted and then when you reopen the webi report next time you will see this "ERR: WIJ 20003" error.

i'm experiencing problem with BO Edge Standard edition on RHEL4 trying to create or refresh a report on Webi.
I have installed BO without problem on the RHEL4.
I can log on Infoview and in CMC with "administrator" however when i try to create a new webi document or refresh a webi document i got an error like
(Your Webintelligence session has expired. Error : WIJ 77778)
I'd like to tell you that i got this error with a simple query (one object on the query).
I have already read the old post concerning the "Time out" however i think it's another kind of problem.
Has anyone idea how i can deal with this issue ?

I found the solution.
Actually the issue came from Administrator's account rights.
After the installation, i was thinking that the Administrator was setted up with all rights.
But i was wrong.
I used Administrator account and it had not enough rights in Webiserver on the CMC that's why if i tryed to create or refresh a report, i got the error msg.

Output mismatch between BEx query output and WebI Report output

Hi All,
I have a BEx query in which there are only characteristics placed in rows.
There are combinations of the values of the characteristics giving different records in the query output.
Date is one of the characterisctics in the query output.
There is an output mismatch between the query output and the WebI report output in the following case:
When there are 'Not Assigned' or '#' or blank values, there are additional entries(rows) in the WebI report, giving repeating or wrong entries in the Date field. This is incorrect data.
Is this because of the 'Not Assigned' or '#' or blank values of the Characteristics or is there any other reason?
How do I fix this?

I need to verify the WebI report output for records with # and 'Not assigned' values for the cHracteristics in the report.
So I cannot check the WebI report by hiding the # or Not assigned values.
The problem is that in the Query output the records are like these shown below:

Where as the WebI report output is as below:

As shown here, there are wrong/repeating entries for the Date field in the WebI report output.
Please check this and let me know what could be the issue and how do I fix it.

Error when using RTF as type of web report

When I use RTF as type of web report ,the program will exceptionly terminate with exceptoin.When I use html,Pdf format,it work well.Who can help,Thanks in advance.

It seems your browser is not properly configured to handle RTF content. You can try to load a local RTF directly into your browser and see if that works.

Exception CX_SY_RANGE_OUT_OF_BOUNDS raised while executing a Web Report

Hi Gurus,
When I executed a Web Report, I got the following Exception
CX_SY_RANGE_OUT_OF_BOUNDS
when it is filtered for September month report is working fine, but when filtered for October month got the following message
Messages:
An exception with the type CX_SY_RANGE_OUT_OF_BOUNDS occurred, but was neither handled locally, nor declared in a RAISING
Part-field access (offset = 4, length = 2) to a data object of the size 3 exceeds valid boundaries.
Could anyone please tell me how to solve this issue.

Webi report: Issue Cannot retrieve dimensions from Cube

Hello Experts, We're facing an issue with a partical set of Webi reports in Quality environment. The reports are BW reports based on OLAP BICS connectivity on top of Bex queries.y Below is the scenario and the issue: 1. The backed Bex queries have been trasported to Quality BW system and they're running fine when run from RSRT or Bex analyzer. 2.The Webi reports along with the BICS connections have been migrated to the Quality box and the BICS connections have been editied so that they point to the Quality BOX bex queries and they're testing and responding to the connection successfully. 3. The Webi reports pointed to the Dev Box in the Dev BOBJ system are working fine, but when the same reports for which the connections were repointed in Quality as above, are giving the error "Cannot Retrieve Dimensions from Cube". Steps taken: a. Deleted the reports and the BICS connection from Quality environment and remigrated the reports,connecitons and changed the connecitons but still the issue persists. b.Tried finding the root cause and got the following issue in the Bex query in Quality: There are filters put in the Bex query . All other filters are working fine except 0CALMONTH. We tried putting all sorts of variables on 0CALMONTH, but the moment a variable is put on 0CALMONTH, this issue occurs. But when we tried removing the variable from 0CALMONTH in filters and restricted it to a single value, the Report works fine. However the same is not an issue in the Dev Box and all queries with similar variables are working fine. So we're thinking this might be an issue on the BW backend and the cube might have to be transported again to the Quality Box. ANy quick suggestions or inputs on this would be greatly appreciated. Getting and MDX Error while refreshing a WEBI Report

I have a problem in developing/refreshing my Webi Info view report.
I have my report like this.
It has 15 dimensions and 3 measures.
Purpose of the report is to display the purchase order details for a particular state/or all in a Country for a particular year.
In this scenario my database has two Calendar Years: 2011 and 2012.
And states (in US) as New York, Rhone Island etc..
Here comes the typical issue.
I have developed the report and when i m trying to refresh the report giving 2011 as Year and New York as State for prompts and generating the report.
Now i m getting the error of MDX query; Below is the error message:

This error is coming only when i m selecting 2011 and New York as prompt values.
When i m selecting any other value combinations, i dont get any error.
I m not sure why this error is coming.
Actually to say there is no data for the combination 2011 and New York. So ideally it has to display "No Data to Retrieve".
But this is not the case with these conditions.

Webi report - save as .csv is bringing double the number of rows.

Hello all,
I am running a webi report and then saving it as .csv file to my desktop but when I save the file it is giving me double the number of rows. In my report I have employee, employee key, attributes and Org unit and some measures.
The .csv file has one additional column at the end which does not have any header and that column has "1" in the rows which should be legitimate and "0" in the rows which are so called duplicates, in these duplicate rows there is all data except it is missing the employee key and org unit key.
If I save as excel I get the right number of rows.
has any one seen this issue before?

Exporting to csv is different from exporting to csv.
If you have any filter on your crosstab or table and you export it to excel it will show you your data according to this filter. Let's say in your table you have amount 0 and 1 and you filter that column so it will show only those records where amount = 1. If you export it to excel you'll get what you see in your WebI report, that's only records with amount = 1.
But if you export to csv the same Webi report with the same crosstab or table filtered by amount=1, the csv export will ignore this filter and your csv will include amount 0 and amount 1 records.
I don't know if that's a WebI's bug, but that's what has happened to me.
A workaround could be adding your filter directly in the query pane, not filtering your table columns.
Also check your query pane to see what object is bringing that extra column in your table.

Webi Reports error on refresh - source - SAP BW

Hi,
We recently upgraded out SAP BW to SP7. Since then, all our webi reports have been giving the following error when we try to refresh the reports:
"A database error occured. The database error text is: A pointer intended for use is NULL. m_pCommand is NULL in SAPRowsetDataModel::getCurrentRow, exception raised at line 372 of file .\source\saprowsetdatamodel.cpp. (WIS 10901)"
The following steps have been taken to resolve the issue with no success:
1. Refreshing the universe
2. Reimporting roles from BW into BO
3. Creating new Webi reports
Has anyone encountered similar issues? Any solution to this issue?

Error while refreshing webi report

SAP BO XI 3.1, when i am trying to refresh data in a webi report, its giving error, Invalid prompt definition contact BO admin WI 00005.
Though i deleted all filters in Bex query, save the query, import universe, refresh univerese, save universe, export universe still webi report is showing the same error, but if all the filters are removed it shouldn't show that error?
After universe is refreshed clicked the check button it showed me 15 errors on filters with message Invalid prompt definiton, supplied XML doc is not valid.
Can any one please help me out.

I am getting this error when i refresh the webi report.
ERROR:
Multiple query filters contain a prompt with the same text, but the
prompts use a different opernd type or operator count of values. (WIS: 0015)
I got answer for this error.
The query has multiple prompts that display the same message. Web Intelligence combines prompts with the same message and displays the prompt once. If the operator defined for some of these prompts requires you to enter one value while the operator in other prompts with the same message requires you to enter multiple values, Web Intelligence cannot combine the prompt.
But can anyone please explain me what is the cause of error in brief? i didn't get what does prompt with same text means?

Want to schedule WebI report for End date of Prior Month

We have WebI report created on top of Bex Query, We have key date as prompt for the report. Can we schedule the webi report for key date as last date of prior month, so if current month is February, my key date should be Jan 30 2011. I am not sure if this is possible?

You need to apply two FM to get the end day of the month.
First you need to apply FM MONTHS_PLUS_DETERMINE. This will give you the date after 3 months.
            CALL FUNCTION 'MONTH_PLUS_DETERMINE'
              EXPORTING
                MONTHS        = 3   " << for 3 months
                OLDDATE       = l_start_Date   " << 12/01/2007
             IMPORTING
               NEWDATE       = l_3_Date. " << 02/01/2008
Then call the FM RP_LAST_DAY_OF_MONTHS . this will give you the end date of the month
CALL FUNCTION 'RP_LAST_DAY_OF_MONTHS'
    EXPORTING
      day_in            = l_3_Date " << 02/01/2008
    IMPORTING
      last_day_of_month = l_3_Date " < 02/29/2008
    EXCEPTIONS
      day_in_no_date    = 1
      OTHERS            = 2.
Call both FMs again to get your another date(after 4 months).

Performance issue and data getting interchanged in BO Webi report + SAP BW

Hi,
We are using SAP BW queries as the source for creating some BO reports.
Environments :
SAP - SAP BI 7.1
BO - BO XI 3.1
Issues :
The reports were working fine in Dev and Q with less data. But when we point the universes to BW prod ( where we have much data), the reports are taking quite a long time to refresh and getting timed out. This query has some key figures which are having customer exits defined to show only one month data. And also BW accelerators are updated for the infocubes pertaining to this query. The BO report is giving data if we apply a filter in 'Query Panel' of Webi to show only current month dates. But then the issue is the values are getting interchanged for many objects. For ex: there are 2 objects- ABS version and Market region. The values are getting interchanged in the BO level.
Please let us know if anything needs to be done in BO or BW to fix this issue if anyone has faced the same
Also Please let us know if customer exits and accelerators works fine with BO

We are able to solve the performance issue by removing unused Key figures and dimensions from the query, but the column value interchange issue still persisits
The build version is - 12.3.0
Query Stripping
Where should we enable query stripping? When i went through some documentation it was written that it'll be enabled automatically from XI 3.1 Sp3. Can you please let us know if its so and what we need to do to enable it.
The coulmn interchange is happening when we use dimensions in a certain order. When product type is used along with Market region. Market region shows values of Product type also in Webi report.

I used a condition in a variable =if(Previous([Activity])=[Activity];0;1) and placing inside report.
But when i am giving block filter i am getting only the distinct activity and Time not as required output.

Hi Sathish,
I am not 100% clear on what you are trying to do but you should be able to use a max() or min() function on the datetime, since it appears you are trying to get the first one (in which case you should use min()).

Providing un-secured access to a web report.

Hello Experts,
We have been sending out 'Load Status' emails on a daily basis for various BW loads. Recently we discontinued this process and set up a report based on one of the statistics cube. We got out the link for this web-report to all the users in our daily load status distribution list.
The problem now is that when you click on the link, it pops out a window asking for the log-on information to our production system. But it looks like a few of the users do not have access to the production system and are hence unable to access this web-report.
Is there any way to allow un-secured access to this particular web-report to all users i.e.without a screen asking for log-on information?Is it possible to set up a generic user id for this report that allows all the users to access this report without actually giving them access to our production system?

What is your BI system version ?
if it is 3.x - then the URL will have a link to your server followed by a Question mark "?" and then some parameters.
The value till the ? mark is the Web service for the same - you can make this Anonymous in SICF but then this would mean that all queries can be accessed through this URL ...
else create an RFC enabled function module based on RRW3_Query_View_data and then use this for your query and expose the same as a web service and make it anonymous ... or have a BSP page to do the same....

Encode & in Opendoc link to open a webi report

We are trying to launch a webi reports from a dashboard and we are using URL (opendoc command)
One of the parameters is called the company name which has an & sign eg ( ABC & Associates).
When we try to run the webi report it never populates the data because of the name containng an &. We did try to convert the & to a %26. However this resulted in Xcelsius converting our % sign to a %25 giving us a final value of a %2526.
Is there a function available to encode the URL to solve this issue

Hi,
Are you using Xcelsius 2008? Then the URL will be encoded automatically.
If you are using Xcelsius 4.5, then you will have to write a simple jsp (using java.net.URLEncoder.encode), and then use "XML data" data connectivity to connect to this jsp.
