BO4 Return results not correct in OpenDoc in Rich Internet Application mode

My launchPad is in Rich Internet Application.  I try to run the below link
http://localhost:8080/BOE/OpenDocument/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?sIDType=CUID&iDocID=AbdUKNEucmNHo7elH5giFeo&lsMConglomerate=MAYBANK+GROUP
but the results is wrong.  When I switch my Interactive Analysis Mode to Web, then results is correct where the reports return data with Maybank Group.  I must use Rich Internet Application because I am also doing cascading prompt.  In Web mode, the cascade prompt did not dim and sometimes the LOV cannot refresh.  But in Rich Internet Application, the cascade prompt is perfect.  Please advise on the opendocument.  Thanks.

  • Lookup API - SPRAS value returned is not correct

    Hi All
    We are using the lookup API of XI to make a lookup in the SAP system and return values such as LAND1, and SPRAS. SPRAS has 2 kindoff value, one is the display value which is a 2 character value, and then the actual value which is a single character value. Internally a conversion routine takes care of converting this 2 character value to single character. For instance the countrykey of Poland is PL and its display SPRAS value is PL and actual value is L.
    While unit testing we get the correct value of 'L', but when we do the integration testing we get the display value of 'PL'. This is a problem we face when we use the Lookup API. But when I use a JCO call to make a lookup, I get the correct value being returned.
    This is a weird behavior, I am not sure if I overlooked something while using the lookup API. I even tried changing the function module to return a single char value, but still the wrong value is being returned with the lookup API. Could it be an issue with the Lookup API ??
    I used the code given in the following weblog,
    /people/francesco.bersani/blog/2007/03/05/data-lookup-optimized
    Any suggestion friends.
    regards
    Sameer

    Sameer,
    Using a single Function Module should not be an issue at all.
    Maybe there is some problem with,
    A) Either the logic of the Function Module written in R3
    B) Logic of your LookUp Code.
    It would be very difficult to say why you are facing this issue without looking at the code and the RFC but the way I see look up's if the FM code is valid and the Lookup Code is as per the corresponding Logic there should be no issue at all.
    I would suggest that you use the same test data that is causing the issue to test the FM in your R3 system and check what it returns . Is the output as expected. If yes, then time to look into your LookUP code.
    Add Trace statements and use this for debugging. Have found that they really help in real time to understand what is going wrong and why.

  • CR RPT in CMC with crosstabs returning results not consistent desktp client

    Hi Everyone,
    I built a report that works great. However, when I run it inside Central Management Console, the crosstabs generate random values that are not consistent with my CR2008 Desktop client results.
    Is there a workaround or something I can do to correct this?
    Thanks,
    Demoralized.

    Good point Don,
    We're in the process of upgrading CMC to the latest version now. It will be a few weeks before it's ready and I'll know for sure. I'll update this thread when I find out.

    For small sets of data the reults are dowloaded correct, howver if there is a large set more than 30K records the results dowloaded are incorrect.
    BEX results are fine, the issue is only with APD dowload.

  • Search results not returning file names correctly

    Have an onsite SharePoint Server 2010 Enterprise that contains a number of documents in a document library all containing the word "south" in their title. When a search is run with the keyword "south" all 3 files are shown in the results but only one displays
    the correct title. The other 2 display alternate text (in this case the company name). The links all 3 results are correct, however the title of results is incorrect for 2 out of the 3.
    I have duplicated these results using Office 365 and another on site SharePoint 2010 server.
    I have duplicated these results converting the documents to DOCX format under Word 2007 and Word 2010.
    Obviously, this is an issue with the files, however any ideas where to start looking to uncover where the SharePoint Server is pulling the information from?
    In the end I need all 3 results to display the current name of the files it finds, not simply some random text with the files from 2 out of 3 of the results.
    Thanks

    Could it be because of this?
    Pasted from here:
    http://bpostutor.com/post/Hidden-SharePoint-2010-Feature-Changes-Document-Titles-in-Search-Results.aspx
    Hidden SharePoint 2010 Feature Changes Document Titles in Search Results
    SharePoint 2010 has a interesting feature which you may not know about.  It's called Optimistic Title.  It's part of the Office Search engine within SharePoint.  What it does is determine a new, hopefully more relevant title for your documents
    to be displayed in your search results based on document properties or the actual contents of the document (i.e. Text within the file).  As you might expect this is closely tied to the Office document formats such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote,
    and Visio.  Your end users may report that the titles that they see for search results differ greatly from the file name or the actual title of the document.  This is particularly evident with PowerPoint files where the name of the first slide
    is often used. The behavior is not entirely predictable.  Different results can be expected from Office 2007 and Office 2010 created files and even those created in earlier versions of Microsoft Office.
    If you want to change this functionality you need to actually go and edit the registry on your Search role server(s) within your SharePoint farm, restart the osearch14 service and then do a full crawl.  The key you want to modify is the EnableOptimisticTitleOverride.
    The default setting is 1. Change it to 0 to disable the feature.

  • CQWP does not return result for a specific query when filtering on a managed metadata field.

    Hi,
    We are facing a serious production issue. We've search the web extensively but to no avail.
    Problem:
    CQWP does not return result for a specific query when filtering on a managed metadata field.
    ULS log:
    The Uls logs provides 3 different messages that I could relate to every time the query is executed. The last item(level Medium) is displayed 14 times. For readability I've moved the ULS logs to the bottom of this question.
    Query:
    The query is as follows:
    (I've translated this from dutch so pardon any typo's)
    Query: (top selection) Display items from all sites in the site collection
    ListType: Documentlibrary
    Contenttype:
    Items from this group:Custom Document Contenttypes
    Items from this content type: Verklaring
    Filter: Soort is equal to X
    extra info: the field soort (Type) is a managed metadata field that was assigned the value X
    Managed Metadata Structure:
    -managed metadata service
      -Contoso
        -Enterprise Taxonomy (term set)
          -Document (term)
            -Verklaring (term)
              -Soort (term)
                -x (term)
    EXTRA INFO:
    When I modify the filter to filter on Title the CQWP DOES return the correct document!
    When I modify the query settings to search a specific library the CWQP also does return the correct document! (In this case I am filtering on a managed metadata field).
    QUESTION:
    Why doesn't the CQWP return the document when filtering on a managed metadata field over the entire site collection.
    Why does the CQWP return the document when filtering on a managed metadata field over a single library.
    (The type of information the CQWP should return (Soort:x) is stored in a dozen document libraries!)
    Here are the ULS logs.

    Hi,
    while digging through the logging (again) I found some extra logging regarding the same correlation id (see details below).
    We have a fairly large term store (4000+ lines).

  • Text search returns results with some keywords, but not others

    This pertains to a tours website for Turkey. I've sucessfully
    set up a search form, and results page which returns results when
    multiple keywords are entered. Everything is working well, except
    when certain keywords are used. For example, the table column being
    searched for is called long_itinerary, so if anyone is interested
    in a certain site or city, it's bound to be in the long itinerary
    somewhere.
    Here's the problem, by example: When someone searches with
    the keywords Antalya, Konya, Ankara, or Adana, for example, results
    are returned from the database, and those keywords are in each
    returned tour's long itinerary.
    But certain keywords return nothing, even when they're in
    practically all of the tours, in the long_itinerary column. For
    example, Istanbul, Ephesus, and Izmir, Kusadasi and Pergamum return
    no results, even though they're there. I've gone through all of the
    most likely keywords, and these are the offenders. If, for example,
    I search with "Istanbul Ankara," I get results with tours including
    Ankara (and Istanbul, but only because the word "Ankara" is in the
    itinerary).
    First I made sure the Charset values were the same on the
    search form page and the results page. Still had the problem. Next,
    I went into the database itself, and copied the word "Istanbul"
    directly from the long_itinerary column of the database, and pasted
    it into the search function's text field, and searched again. Same
    problem--no results returned.
    I can't see any difference between the keywords which work
    correctly, and those which don't, what baffles me is that even when
    I copy a keyword directly from the database and paste it in the
    search text field, it returns no results!
    Well, I'm baffled! Any ideas what might cause this?

    Hmm -- one of my customers is a turkish building company
    (Kusadasi BTW), and when *they* add some contents to the DB,
    they´ll be entering turkish chars. It´s in particular the
    turkish "I" which is pretty different, and this is when a search
    for keywords containing a western "I" will fail.
    Could that be the problem in your case ?

  • Windows 8.1 x64 Smart Search Outlook and OneNote 2013(x32) not returning results

    Is the 8.1 Smart Search([windows-key]-type)  supposed to return results from Outlook and/or OneNote?
    I am using Exchange Cached mode for Outlook if that matters.
    I have done the following to try and get results to show up:
    control panel...Indexing Options...Advanced...File Types...Index Properties and File Contents
    used indexing troubleshooter which found no problems
    control panel...Indexing Options...Advanced...Rebuild...
    used scanpst to scan my ost and make repairs.
    checked and unchecked Outlook and OneNote within index properties
    tried to go to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\username.ost properties...advanced...checked allow this file to have contents indexed. Except the next time i start outlook the check mark goes away.
    verified .pst , .ost and .pst files are all in the index service...file types... list
    Search within Outlook itself works just fine and quickly, but i would like to be able to search from the "Smart Search".  File name search is flawless.
    If it isn't supported, why is it in the indexing options that clearly work for smart search settings because I also added a location for searching where file names search works just fine(although it does seem the contents of excel/word files are
    not being indexed, but the index might still be rebuilding)
    Any help would keep some hair on my head.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    It seems that the smart search can't search the content in outlook and OneNote.
    blogs.technet.com/b/daanish/archive/2014/03/19/windows-8-101-smart-search.aspx
    The reason why Outlook and OneNote appears in the Index option tab is that Outlook and OneNote need the Windows search to help index the content in Outlook and OneNote, if we remote the outlook and onenote from Index Option tab, the search function in the
    Outlook and OneNote may not works.
    Also, smart search main focus on Settings , files, web Images, web Videos which we can select above the search box.  Another reason we suspect the design for this is the consideration for security, if we can search the emails in the smart search, that
    maybe some programs can access the content in Outlook and OneNote without authentication .
    Hope the information above help.
    Best Regards,
    Jason Zeng

  • 'People Search Core Result' web part with 'office' filter in Keyword Query is not returning results

    I have created a page with "People search core result" web part on SharePoint 2010.
    When I try to use the setting (A) or (C) as shown below, there is no results been returned but when set to setting (B), there are results been returned.
    In the returned results I can see the OfficeNumber field is been populated with values and some of them is "UK Finance".
    Setting (A)
    Result Query Options
    -- Fixed Keyword Query = contentclass:spspeople -- Append Text To Query = Department:"Finance" AND OfficeNumber:"UK Finance"
    Setting (B)
    Result Query Options
    --- Fixed Keyword Query = contentclass:spspeople --- Append Text To Query = Department:"Finance"
    Setting (C)
    Result Query Options
    --- Fixed Keyword Query = contentclass:spspeople --- Append Text To Query = OfficeNumber:"UK Finance"
    What am I doing wrong here? Am I missing something? Do I need any additional configuration in order to get this to work?
    I hope someone could help me or point me to the right direction.
    Thank you
    muges

    You might want to check the Manage User Properties area of the User Profile Service in Central Admin.
    Any properties you query on should be marked "Indexed" or "Use in Scopes".  You can also check that you are using the correct internal name for these properties.

  • Simple RFC call not returning results

    Hi,
    I have created a VERY simple Dynpro project to return the results of a simple RFC.  I've created the JCO connections and they test fine but the RFC doesn't return results to my application.
    Steps:
    1. create the project
    2. import the RFC Adaptive Model specifying the JCO connections
    3. Create an application
    4. Add the rfc model to the "Models Used"
    5. Bind the model to the component
    6. Context map two variables to the view (one input and one output)
    7. Create the method on the component
    8. Bound the UI elements to the model
    9. Set up the JCO connections from http://portal:50000/webdynpro/welcome
    For the JCO Connection creation, I used "Application" type through a load balanced connection for the Model Data connection (WD_MODELDATA_DEST) and the "Dictionary" type for the Metadata connection (WD_RFC_METADATA_DEST).
    Code:
    1. In the wdDoInit() of the controller
    wdContext.nodeZ_Hr_Get_Perno_Input().bind(new Z_Hr_Get_Perno_Input());
    2. In the wdDoInit() of the view
    wdContext.currentContextElement():setLogin_id( "mylogon" );
    wdThis.wdGetRfcTestComponentController().executeZ_Hr_Get_Perno_Input();
    My gut tells me it's an issue with my JCO connections but I can't be sure.
    I'm using Developer Studio SP9 with Patch 1 connecting to EP6 SP9 Patch 6.  When I start the Dev Studio, however, it displays version 2.0.9, is this the same for everyone?
    I've tested the function module from SE37 and it definitely returns a value. Also, if I don't set the login_id in the wdDoInit() before executing, it gives me the error that the input variable has not been set. So, this tells me that it connected to R3 to know that the variable was not passed but it still doesn't return any value when the variable is passed.
    Any ideas??  HELP!!!!!!!!!!
    Thanks,
    Andrew

    Okay, I'm not going crazy.  The issue was with my "simple" rfc.  When I changed the input and output to char(), it returned as expected.  I just have to figure out why the Dictionary types from R3 caused an issue.

  • Quiz Results Analyzer results not displaying correctly

    We are using Adobe Captivate 6 and posting quizzes to a local server (configured with the .php files.) When we review quiz results using the Quiz Results Analyzer, some of the data is correctly reported. However, the Pass/Fail is not working right (either everybody who takes the quiz passes, or everybody fails.) Also, we are not seeing a total score.
    Is there any tutorial for correctly configuring all of the quiz preferences, so that we get the results we are looking for?

    Thank you for the link. I have viewed this video in the past.
    The issue I'm having is that, in spite of setting the the quiz options for reporting, the data that is received in the xml files is not correct, therefore, it is not being correctly summarized in the Quiz Results Analyzer.
    (It would also seem that the screen name I set here is not retaining its modifications.)

  • Return results from ADEP in AS3 Arrays, not ArrayCollections

    Hi all,
    Is there any way to force ADEP to return results from data services in simple AS3 Arrays, not ArrayCollections? Here are my situation:
    In my project I use ADEP Data Management Services. To connect to ADEP services we use RTMP channel defined in services-config.xml:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <services-config>
         <services>
              <service-include file-path="remoting-config.xml" />
              <service-include file-path="proxy-config.xml" />
              <service-include file-path="messaging-config.xml" />
              <service-include file-path="data-management-config.xml" />
              <service-include file-path="managed-remoting-config.xml" />
              <service class="fiber.data.services.ModelDeploymentService" id="model-deploy-service" />
              <default-channels>
                   <channel ref="my-rtmp"/>
              </default-channels>
         </services>
         <channel-definition id="my-rtmp" class="mx.messaging.channels.RTMPChannel">
              <endpoint url="rtmp://{server.name}:1000" class="flex.messaging.endpoints.RTMPEndpoint"/>
              <properties>
                   <idle-timeout-minutes>20</idle-timeout-minutes>
                   <block-rtmpt-polling-clients>true</block-rtmpt-polling-clients>
                   <rtmpt-poll-wait-millis-on-client>0</rtmpt-poll-wait-millis-on-client>
              </properties>
         </channel-definition>
    </services-config>
    To manage data in database we defined data services in data-management-config.xml like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <service id="data-service" class="flex.data.DataService">
        <adapters>
            <adapter-definition id="java-dao" class="flex.data.adapters.JavaAdapter"/>
            <adapter-definition id="mr-java-dao" class="flex.data.adapters.ManagedRemotingDataAdapter" />
            <adapter-definition id="actionscript" class="flex.data.adapters.ASObjectAdapter" default="true"/>
        </adapters>
        <default-channels>
            <channel ref="my-rtmp"/>
        </default-channels>
        <destination id="SomeProduct.SomeItems">
            <adapter ref="java-dao" />
            <properties>
                <source>flex.data.assemblers.SQLAssembler</source>
                <scope>application</scope>
                <metadata>
                    <identity property="ID" />
                </metadata>
                <server>
                    <database>
                        <datasource>java:comp/env/jdbc/SP</datasource>
                    </database>
                    <actionscript-class>com.somecompany.classes.SomeCoolClass</actionscript-class>
                    <create-item>
                        <procedure name="SomeItems_Insert">

                        </procedure>
                    </fill>
                    <update-item>
                        <procedure name="SomeItems_Update">
                            <procedure-param property-value="#Session_ID#" />
                            <procedure-param property-value="#Division_ID#" />
                            <procedure-param property-value="#Salesrep_ID#" />
                            <procedure-param property-value="#Area_Code#" />
                            <procedure-param property-value="#Item_ID#" />
                       </procedure>
                    </update-item>
                    <delete-item>
                        <procedure name="SomeItems_Delete">
                            <procedure-param property-value="#Session_ID#" />
                            <procedure-param property-value="#Item_ID#" />
                        </procedure>
                    </delete-item>
                </server>
            </properties>
        </destination>
    </service>
    By default, ADEP returns results from SomeProduct.SomeItems destination to Flex side as ArrayCollection of SomeCoolClass instances but I need the data to be returned in simple AS3 Arrays. Recently, I found that there is small optional serialization configuration in channel-definition that should resolve my problem. So I updated my channel-definition in services-config.xml to this:
    <channel-definition id="my-rtmp" class="mx.messaging.channels.RTMPChannel">
         <endpoint url="rtmp://{server.name}:1000" class="flex.messaging.endpoints.RTMPEndpoint"/>
         <properties>
              <serialization>
                   <legacy-collection>true</legacy-collection>
              </serialization>
              <idle-timeout-minutes>20</idle-timeout-minutes>
              <block-rtmpt-polling-clients>true</block-rtmpt-polling-clients>
              <rtmpt-poll-wait-millis-on-client>0</rtmpt-poll-wait-millis-on-client>
         </properties>
    </channel-definition>
    However, result are still returned in ArrayCollections.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance

    Thom Parker answered this here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/2614570#2614570
    Answer copied below:
    "The problem is that when the focus is on the text box
    it's in edit mode. It's only displaying the value interactively entered by
    the user, or as a consequence of the change event.  What you need to do is
    force the focus off of the text box in code.  You can do a little trick
    where you bounce it to a tiny transparent field, which then bounds the focus
    back so it doesn't look like the focus changed."
    What I ended up doing was calling up the dialog box, then using setfocus with no parameters to remove focus from the field, as follows:
    this.rawValue = this.dialogBoxFunction(this.rawValue); // passing current value so dialog box defaults to that value
    xfa.host.setFocus();
    Cheers,
    Marty.
