BOM line item with different plant than header item.

Hi friends,
Can we have different plants for BOM child items?
For example,BOM is created for plant 1000 with 5 sub items. when sales order is created BOM expodes with 5 sub items with plant 1000 because BOM is maintained for plant 1000.
do we make any settings that line item should pick other than plant 1000?
Please let me know is it possible in standard SAP? if not, how can we acheive it?
Thanks in advance for your solution.
Regards,
Ravinder

Ravinder Reddy ,
Scenario 1:
I have tried this scenario, I am having one header material (plant 1000). I have created one sub material 1100001 of plant (1000) and another material 340771 (Plant 2000) and i have assigned Item Category = N then i entered qty for ist item =1
it is throwing an error. "Material 340771 not maintained in plant 2000." at sub item level
Scenario 2:
In another scenario, if  I am having one header material (plant 2000). I have created one sub material 1100001 of plant (1000) and another material 340771 (Plant 2000) and i have assigned Item Category = N then i entered qty for ist item =1
It is throwing an error "Material 1100001 not maintained in plant 2000."  at hedaer level
Scenario 3: I have extended the materials for both the plants
Here i am entering the material header material 12345 (plant 2000). I have created one sub material 1100001 of plant (1000) and another material 340771 (Plant 2000) and i have assigned Item Category = N then i entered qty for ist item =1
It is picking up...
Material has to be extended to the plants that you are using let it be at sub item level or header level. Material has to be extended.

  • Merge of two same items with different Qty in po

    Hi Experts,
Is it possible to merge two Same items with different Quantity into 1.
For Eg:- 2 similar  items  with qty 2 & 3 must show 5 qty appearing once.Is it possible through Transnotification what should be the query.
    Mona

    Hi Mona,
If you want to display a Purchase Order on screen summarized by item, set the "Summary Type"  to "By Item" (by default it is "No Summary"). The PO lines will then be summarized by item with total quantity for each item.
If you want to display it on the printout then you need to modify the PLD. It is quite easy actually. You can use the Repetitive Area Footer to display the summary of each item and set all fields in the Repetitive Area to be not visible and set the height to minimum height.

  • Delivery is pulling items with different delivery dates from sales order

    hi all,
i have a sales order with two line items with different delivery dates(eg 1st and 21st). material availability date for them is different. when i tried to create the delivery on 1st it is pulling the 2nd item whose delivery date is on 21st.
    where can i control this.
    thanks in advance
    harini

    Hi,
let us take one example>materials A and B,
A delivery date is 22.01.2008(maintained in schedule lines in SO)
B delivery date is 30.01.2008(maintained in schedule lines in SO)
now i want to deliver material A on 22.01.2008
by default system will give you only material A in the item line
material B will not be displaced in the second line item
now i want to deliver material B on 30.01.2008
by default system will show me material B in delivery line item
if in case material A is not delivered then delivery will show you two line items
    i.e., Material A and B
i think you have understood the difference

  • BYOD Solution with different product than Cisco ISE

    Hello,
Will it possible to make BYOD WiFi with different product than cisco ISE? such as Dell ClearPass or some sort of other product which does support Cisco WLC 5508.
    Regards,

Sure it's possible... Dell resells Aruba's ClearPass, so really it's up to the vendor implementing ClearPass to understand what is possible or not. Both ISE and ClearPass does OnBoarding, which is used for BYOD. Both require licenses for this added feature also. There might be other ways to achieved BYOD, but it depends in what you want and what the product can do.

  • More contracts (with different suppliers) for one item

    Dear MDM Experts,
is it possible to make more contracts (with different suppliers) for one item?
    Thanks and regards,
    Ádá

    Hi,
Thanks for your answer. If I set my shopping cart for a contract with a supplier A, and I select an item with a supplier B, then after pushing button Transport to SRM on the shopping cart webdynpro UI, I would get the an error message, and the item wouldn't come to the SRM.
If the item doesn't have any supplier, and I make a contract with it, the supplier of the contract goes to the item, and after that I can't make a contract with an other supplier for this item, because of the uppers.
The type of field Supplier in table Catalog Items is Lookup field, and it can't be modified.
Could you please write to me which can I set our system to be able to make contracts with many suppliers?
    Thanks and regards,

  • Project stock belongs to different plant than the plant in project definition

    Dear all,
    I have a case:
Project belongs to plant A (which is entered in the project definition), but there's a material in project stock which is belongs to plant B (checked in MMBE, the material under this project, but under plant stock B).
Is this the normal case of SAP standard? As I never seen this case before (always project stock belongs to the same plant as entered in the project definition).
    Awaiting for your answer& clarification.
    Thanks and best regards,
    Andy

    Thanks for your helpful answer.
I'd like to explain more about this case:
I found a PO and a good receipt document to the project stock, and the plant in these documents is plant B.
Then the material appear in MMBE under project stock and plant B.
But when I check the project in CJ20N, the plant in project definition is plant A.
As the requirement is to reverse the goods receipt document, but when doing so, system issues a message as "inconsistency data", so I confuse is it because of the different in plant stock in goods receipt document and plant in project.
That's why I ask is this the standard case if material in project stock belongs to different plant than the plant in project definition.
Hope you understand clearly my situation.
Do you have any more suggest in this case?
    Thanks and best regards,

  • Items in the shopping cart appear with different price than in the catalog

    Hi All,
We are running SRM 5.0 (Classic Scenario) with external catalogues.
After selecting items from the external catalogue and transferring them to the shopping cart, the items appear with different price(the problem exists in the productive system)
The strange thing is that there is no dependence or sequence between the differences. For example, in one shopping cart, one item is with correct price, the price of the other item is not correct (when I click on the icon which is  showing item details in the catalogue, the price is different than the one in the shopping cart). Sometimes the difference is significant, sometimes not - if the item price in the catalogue is 22.34 EUR, in the shopping cart is 21.22EUR or if the item is 45.62EUR in the shopping cart is 45.60 EUR. There is no logic.
I tried to create a shopping cart in the support system, with the same items from this catalogue, and they are sent back in SRM with the correct prices.
I traced all OCI parameters, sent from the supplier catalogue, and everything is correct.
At the example given below the price in the shopping cart ordered in the productive system is 69.00CZK, and after that during the test the correct price of 73.870CZK has appeared.
    NEW_ITEM-DESCRIPTION==Durable-KeyClip-keytag%2C+black
    NEW_ITEM-MATNR==
    NEW_ITEM-MATGROUP==
    NEW_ITEM-QUANTITY==10
    NEW_ITEM-UNIT==EA
    NEW_ITEM-PRICE==73.870

    NEW_ITEM-CURRENCY==CZK

    NEW_ITEM-LONGTEXT_1%3A132==Durable-KeyClip%0D%0Akeytag%2Cblack%0D%0A%0D%0A6pc
I checked the error log in SLG1 for BBP_OCI, and no error message exists. In my opinion the problem can be in supplier system, because otherwise all items will be with wrong price. And at the moment, there are shopping carts in which all items are with the correct price!
It is not something in the user profile, because in one shopping cart created by one user some items are correct, some of them not.
I also checked with the supplier,  they said that they haven't change the price, recently.
Has somebody of you met this problem?
In the IMG-> Define External Web Services (Catalogs, Vendor Lists etc.) I have set all parameters for the standard call structure: the URL of the supplier, our company ID and password for their catalogue.
In the Detail view for the catalogue, the following parameters are set
u201CAdditional functions in the product catalogueu201D field:
    -     Display product data again in the catalogue
    -     Validate product data from SAP Enterprise Buyer
    -     Find supply sources
    u201CTechnical Settingsu201D field
    - Use Error Log
    Thanks,
    Desi

That means that we are not maintaining material numbers in SRM, so there are no predefined price or info records for that materials in R/3 system, or in SRM.
In the set up of external catalogues, validation of the price is set. Which means that, if a new shopping cart is created from already existing one, and meanwhile, a change of the price is done by the supplier in the catalogue, the new item price will be adopted in the shopping cart.
No prices are maintained in the SRM system, everything is from the supplier catalogue.

  • How to create web items with different quantities?

    Hi,
I have B1 inventory items that are single items but we will be selling them on the web as 'packages' of different quantities.  For example, we would like the user to be able to select the web item, then be presented with a drop down (attribute) of case (10 items), 1/2 pallet (80 items) or full pallet (160 items).  Is it possible to setup a product line master which is a B1 inventory item, then define the child items, non B1 items, and somehow have the proper quantities ordered?  (ie. ordering 2 cases creates a B1 order for our parent item with a quantity of 20)
If I can do this, I have another concern.  Since we are currently using our test database, if I setup all of these child items and create the parent/child relationships, will these be lost once we swtich the database over to our live/production database?
    Thanks,
    David

Personally, I would add the javascript to the Item's description with additional drop downs there, upon selecting the drop down, this would populate the QTY field which i would hide via javascript as well, but will be passed on to the Cart/checkout page.

  • Create wip jobs for same item with different routings.

My scenario is , i am having 2 production lines for the same End item. If both lines are available to use, then WIP jobs have to be created for both lines. If either one is available then WIP job has to be created only for that line. Please suggest the setups for this. This way i can increase the production rate.

    HI Jey-2013,
In your organization, you first need to define Bills and Routings for the item/items.  Now to use two routings for 1 item, you need to define Alternate Routing.
For that go to BOM>Setup> Alternates and create an Alternate name for the second routing.
Then Go again to BOM>routing and use the Alternate name for the item to create a different Routing. After that you will have two different routings for same item.
Whenever you create a job in WIP, you will have an option to choose either the default or the original routing. This way you can accomplish your goal of using different routings as and when required. Hope this helps you. Kindly let me know

  • Contract with different plant specific freight conditions

Contract with Vendor ABC has 5 line items
    Line item 1 & 2 for plant 123
Line item 3 is for plant 345
    Line item 1,2,4 & 5 for plant 567
For plant 123, the Carrier is ASDF Trucking Co and the charges are $500 per trip.
    For plant 345, no freight
For plant 567, the carrier is LKJH Trucking Co and the charges are $700 per trip.
When we create a PO with reference to the above contract for plant 123 for Line item 1 alone, the freight should be $500 per trip.
When we create a PO with reference to the above contract for plant 123 for Line item 2 alone, the freight should be $500 per trip.
When we create a PO with reference to the above contract for plant 123 for Line items 1& 2 the freight should be $500 per trip.
When we create a PO with reference to the above contract for plant 567 for Line items 1& 2 the freight should be $700 per trip.
How to create such a contract? Do i need to do some config to freight condtion types (pricing procedure)?

    Hi
You can create this with std configuration itself.
While creating the Contract, please don't give Plant at the item overview.Just enter the line items and Quantities.
<b>You can maintian the plant specific condition for each line items.</b>
1.When maintaining the centrally agreed contract, choose Edit -> Plant conditions -> Overview.
2.On the overview screen that then appears, enter the desired plant and choose  Plant prices.
3.An item overview screen appears, starting from which you can maintain conditions.
4.Choose Item -> Conditions to access the condition maintenance screen.
Return to the overview and repeat the process for all plants for which you wish to store plant-specific conditions.Save your input.

  • PO scenario: Delivery at different plant than the ordering plant

    Dear Experts
Refer following requirement from a user:-
    I have 2 plants:
    Plant A
    Plant B
Plant A orders some material from A foreign vendor located overseas. Now my plant B is a Port. I wish to receive the Goods in the plant B.
Hence many such stocks from different vendors is thus consolidated & send back to Plant A.
Now how can I simulate this in system, since ordering plant is different than destination plant?
I don't want to create the PO through plant B, hence the other answer is ruled out.

    Its not possible..
GR will always done with this plant which you have used in PO.
Check the similar discussion for more details PLant in PO
