Booking a sales order in Oracle 11i (Vision Database)

Hi All,
When i try to book an order i get the message:
Agreement is required on a booked order.
I am able to enter orders.
What could be wrong? Please Guide....
Prakash

Prakash,
Did you clear the "Agreement is Required" checkbox? This is already explained in the OM implementation/user guides (search for "agreement is required").

Hi All, We are in to Release 11.5.10.2.There is a specific requirement to Prevent users from creating Manual Sales Orders in Oracle and  yet users should be able to book the Sales Orders Imported from CRM system into Orcale. Please advise.

    Thanks for your advise.
However, I missed to mention that we have two set of users  One is for Finished Goods and another for Spares.
Only Spares users need to be prevented from creating Direct/Manual Sales Orders in Oracle.
As you suggested, if this will be done at Form level, that may Disallow FG users also to create Manula Sales Orders which should not be the case.
Further, I tried to test one scenario through Processing Constraints but it did not work.

  • Configuration Validation error when booking an Sales Order.

    Hi,
Getting an error when booking an sales order ie; "Configuration Validation error".
We are upgrading from 11.5.8 to 12.1.1 and this issue is critical. Please provide your valuable suggestion and advice.
    Thanks in advance,
    Asif

It seems you use configurator. Is this happening in production or in some test instance?
If it is a test instance, when was it cloned from prod? Did you clone the configurator instance at the same time?
    1) You should publish the configurator model from the configurator developer to this new instance.
    2) Also, it is possible that the selections made during order entry earlier are not valid anymore due to ECO/BOM changes or due to configurator rule changes. Open the configuration, make any selections if necessary and then click ok.
This will repopulate the order lines then you should be able to book the order.
    Hope this helps

  • Where can I download or buy Oracle Application Vision Database ?

I want to practise the Oracle financial 11i on-line training, but where to download the Oracle Application Vision Database? And, is there any other way I can practise? Thanks a lot.

    Hi
Nicky is right. Download is not possible but you can order one by authorized service partner in your country. The addresses you can find under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com ?Support & Downloads ?Find an authorized service partner.
You can also use your own OS installation and install all Toshiba stuff (drivers, tools and utilities) alone. All you need you can find on Toshiba download page.

  • Adding Quantity in Sales Order form in 11i

I am trying to use forms personalization (under 11i) to add-up order quantity of multiple item lines to check against certain value. if it is less then let the order be booked, if it isn't then give error and stop processing. Will appreciate if someone can help, urgently.
I am able to check the quantity and preform the check at each line level but not able to figure out how to add up the quantity if there are multiple lines.
This is to be done in Sales Order form under Order Management.
    Thnx

  • How to validate the quantity booked in sales order

    Hi,
When a sales order is booked for a customer, a validation should be done for the quantity ordered on this particular customer,
If any order placed for an item beyond max order quantity for this customer, system should pop up some message or alert to the user.
This should take care of multiple entries of that item in the sales order lines.
    Awaiting your valuable reply,
    Regards,
    Prasad

    Hi,
If I understood correctly, a customer “C” can order at most 10 units, for example, in one order, however, “C“ can order 20 units divided in two orders, 10 units each.
If you use blanket sales order, you can define the maximum quantity that can be entered in each release. I made some tests here and it’s performing the validation only at the line level, not across all order lines as you require. I don’t know if this is the intended functionality. If it is, maybe a forms personalization could be used in order to validate the total ordered quantity against the quantity defined in the blanket sales order.
Another issue is that you will not enter the sales order directly into Sales Order form; you will need to find the blanket sales order and then create a release (sales order linked to the blanket).
In order to prevent user from entering orders to this customer with no reference to the blanket, it’s possible to define a security rule in OM preventing orders to this customers without a blanket sales orders reference.

  • No cost booking against sales order+line item once accontng release is done

    Dear all,
I want to stop all cost bookings against a sales order + line item once the accounting release for that item has been done.
By cost booking i mean, all such transactions that are done for a sales order + line item that involve cost booking. Like, MB1A should not allow any goods issue against that sales order + item once accounting release is done.
Is it possible to that in sales order? Like by using any status at item level.
    Please guide.
    regards
    SAPshed

    Hi Ajay,
We have not kept automatic cost estimate marking during saving of sales order as costing dept wants  to confirm whether costing for the SO is correct or not.
Hence we have to use CK51N.
Now the problem is for any change in any line item of a sales order is changing the costing status from "VO" to "KA" for all line items of the given sales order in table KEKO.
This is causing measure problem as production people are facing problem while making any change in production order as already there is a check put in CO02 that if cost estimate does not exist for underlying sales order, then change in production order should not be allowed.
Similarly production order creation (converting planned order to production order) is getting held up.
Costing user has to repeated run CK51N for all line items of a single sales order if there is any change in any single line item of the sales order.
Hence pl. help and suggest as to what is to be done now.
    Regards
    Ratna

  • Stock booking for sales orders using APO gatp

    Hello Experts,
We are having similar case as YR, for which I'm searching for a solution. > (Putting this in a separate thread so that I can reward points)
We have certain sales orders (which are created on portal) for which we need to book stocks. These orders have different ord type. We want to give priority to these sales orders against existing/upcoming stocks. (For these orders, no customer master exists, kind of one-time).
Requirement is - Portal orders are placed according to the updated stock on portal (frequent run programs). But at the time of actual delivery creation, it happens that no stock available for the order and existing stock 'robbed' by other sales orders/deliveries meanwhile. We want to give 'portal orders' more priority than other normal orders/STOs.
We have receipt elements in Purchase orders only and no production orders. Also, portal orders are not subjected for gatp check, once the order is saved, a sales order is triggered & created in ECC (XI/PI) against dedicated Plants/Warehouses.
We have gatp and trying to find solution for it. Could you please guide how to book stocks for these 'priority orders' against existing unrestricted-use stock & against upcoming purchase orders?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hello Babu,
Thanks for your inputs. I would like to get into more details of what you mentioned about delivery priority. In my case, any customer places online order on webportal (based on current stock on portal which we frequently update through programs) and once the order is saved, a Sales order is created in ECC for a "one time customer" (there are hardly 2-3 customers for the e-orders), for which gatp check happens and stock is assigned as per availability and delivery date is assigned. So basically issues are
    1. Order in ECC should be placed with successful gatp check & confirmation - chances are of stealing stocks in between the 'time gap' of stock update on portal & order placing till order creation in ECC with gatp check >> for this we are working on stock update programs.
    2. Once delivery date is assigned to the order after successful gatp check, during the time of delivery creation, there are other STOs which steal stocks & create outbound deliveries before the portal order. Here we want to stop the 'robbing'.
So looking at this aspect, could you please elaborate the point of -
"Since you have a different sales document type, why don't you assign a higher delivery priority to these orders during ATP check ? You can influence the default delivery priority that comes from customer master to a very high delivery priority just before the ATP check ( use field catalogue user exit ) and pass the high delivery priority to APO"
And how can we use field cataloguser exit?
And ya, we may not need ROC, as there will be no one ready to 'Donate' But thanks for highlighting the option as well..
    Thanks

  • Purchase Orders in Oracle 11i

Hi Can some one let me know whether in 11i Oracle, the purchase orders can be closed automatically when supplier invoice is booked. I know when GRN is done in full, the PO gets closed automatically for receiving goods. But later on the POs have to closed manually and then to be Permanently Closed manually.

    Hello,
Different version of a PO are stored in the PO%ARCHIVE% tables, ie PO_HEADERS_ARCHIVE_ALL, PO_LINES_ARCHIVE_ALL, etc.
New version of a PO document is generated depending of your setting "Archive on", the value can be "Approve" or "Communicate" (when you approve the document or when you "print" it in order to send it to the supplier)
This setting is available in the menu Setup -> Purchasing -> Document Type (depend of your document type) from the PO admin resp.
Of course if an incomplete PO is deleted nothing is stored in the "Archive" tables.
    Hope it helps

  • Configurator Error- Warning while booking the Sales Order

    Hello All,
I am working on Order Management. When i try to book the order using (wf pkg) some times it is throwing an error saying "Configurator error" But when i open the configurator its not a Error message, its jsut a Warning. So, i have to manually click on the CONFIGURATOR, clicking on PREVIEW Configurator, and FINISH Button each time.
Is there any API which can ignore this warning and proceed with Booking the order automatically. (Unless there is an Error, not the warning)
It would be really helpful for me, as i am doing this manually, almost 100 Orders daily.
    Thank you,
    Aush

You are probably getting the error because the order selections were not valid and therefore you could not book the order.
When you open the configurator and click finish, it may APPEAR that you did not do anything. But in reality, when you click Finish, your selections are changing. Some of the selections are done automatically by rules so some of your incorrect selections are getting fixed by simply opening the configurator and clicking on Finish.
You can verify that by opening the configurator but instead of Finish, click on Cancel. And then try to book the order. You will probably get an error because you did not let the auto-rules fix the errors in your order.
If you want to avoid doing this 100 times a day, you need to look at the process that is creating the order lines in ENTERED state. Your problem is somewhere there.
    Hope this helps,

    i have a small doubt in custom.pll.
we have a requirement to give a pop up message, wenever we do scheduling action in the sales order form (Oracle 11i).
i have written the code like below
    if
    ((block_name = 'LINE') AND ( event_name = 'SPECIAL14'))
    then the pop up message.
the problem im facing is, the pop up is working fine, when we schedule action is done by(Tools--> scheduling)
but it is not working whenever i right click on the sales order line and do scheduling.
what code do i need to include for the right click scheduling?

  • Do not allow User to Booked Sales Order if Line QTY is not enough.

    Hi All,
Is there a way in Order Management setup to not allow sales people to Booked their Sales Order if there are order lines where the qty is not enough in the Inventory, where it will cause 'Backorder' if picked and shipped?
    Regards,
    Ja

    Jay
Is there a business reason to stop booking? The order is already entered and if you want to stop booking, at that time, will they go back and book the orders later?
It hampers your business knowing the demand for your product. Back ordering is a good thing and not necessarily evil.
If you still want to do this you have to use inv_quantity_tree_pub.query_quantities to get the quantities. As Sandeep said, it is better you do this in Order header workflow by calling this and based on the result you can decide what you want.
    Thanks
