BootIdentityFIle shutdown not working in WLS7,8.1

Hi-
I'm trying to make a script that automatically shuts down a Weblogic Server without
having the username/password combo in the start/stop file or as and env variable.
I tried to follow the instruction per bea's site: http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs81/admin_ref/cli.html#1131733
that specifies a BootIdentity file. My server starts up just fine reading the
encrypted boot.properties but the sutdown command seems to say that the arguments
are wrong.
I followed what the guidelines say but I don't know if the BootIdentify file has
been depricated/never worked for a command-line shutdown.
I'm using wls 81
Startup: (works)
C:\bea\user_projects\mydomain>"C:\bea\jdk141_02\bin\java" -client -Xms32m -Xmx200m
-XX:MaxPermSize=128m -Dweblogic.syst em.BootIdentityFile=boot.properties -Dweblogic.Name=myserver
-Dweblogic.ProductionModeEnabled= -Djava.security.policy="C :\bea\weblogic81\server\lib\weblogic.policy"
weblogic.Server
and the Stop command (this doesn't)
C:\bea\user_projects\mydomain>java -Dweblogic.system.BootIdentityFile=c:\bea\user_projects\mydomain\boot.properties
-Dwe blogic.RootDirectory=c:\bea\user_projects\mydomain weblogic.Admin -url t3://localhost:7001
SHUTDOWN -t 2 myserver
returning the error: Weblogic server requires a valid username and password for
the command that you are trying to execute. Please try again
I've even tried getting rid of the RootDirectory directive and using relative
paths for the BootIdentity file since I allways execute it from the domain directory....Doens't
work.
and the boot.properties file (for what its worth):

Thanks in advance.

And there is NOTHING out there about it.  Really weird....

  • Mavericks Scheduled Shutdown not working

Since upgrading to Mavericks 10.9.2 , about 2 weeks ago, (from Snow Leopard 10.6.8) unable to get Energy Saver / "Scheduled Shutdown" working.
Scheduled Startup works without any problems, everyday at selected time, my iMac boots up; but when I have a time set for "shutdown" it just goes to sleep.  Never had this problem with Snow Leopard 10.6.8 - always worked on schedule everyday.  Tried not selecting both Startup and Shutdown, and doing it manually; but whenever I go back to set the Startup and Shutdown, it never works in Shutdown.   Any help on how to solve this, would be appreciated.
Running iMac 21" 16GB RAM, Ma

I think I spoke too soon, about Scheduled Shutdown working OK.  It does not work when Mac is in "Sleep Mode"...I tried it again this morning, set a schedule time for shutdown, 10 minutes out from present time.
Did not allow screen or computer to go into sleep mode, and guess what ?  Up pops the scheduled shutdown screen, saying this computer will shut down in 10 minutes. OK that worked.   I then changed the shutdown schedule again, for a later time, now I allowed the Display and Computer to go into Sleep mode, per settings I have in System Preferences/Energy Saver -> "Display Sleeps in 10 Minutes - Computer sleep in 15 minutes. I returned 40 minutes later, -- Computer and Display are in Sleep mode, return key to bring screen back up,---- and Scheduled Shutdown was not activated.  Have no background programs running that causing errors in Console.  Therefore there is a software flaw somewhere, that will not allow "Schedule Sutdown" to activate when computer is in sleep mode.   Any suggestions on how to correct this would be appreciated.

  • Shutdown not working properly. APSCourier: : Stream error APSTCPStream

since a couple of weeks my imac won't shot down properly from time to time. in the log there are a lot of error messages of this kind: <APSCourier: 0x10011deb0>: Stream error occurred for <APSTCPStream: 0x10060c290>: Error Domain=NSPOSIXErrorDomain Code=61 UserInfo=0x10014a970 "The operation couldn’t be completed. Connection refused"
sometimes the usb keyboard and the attached logtech mouse don't work anymore either. if i attach another keyboard to the back of the imac, it works. after a hard reset the mac keyboard and mouse work again.
the third problem is, that after such hard resets, my truecrypt partition won't mount propery anymore and i get the error "hdiutil: attach failed - no mountable file systems". then again after a reboot it works fine again.
i did a check with disk utitlity which didn't find any problems. i also repaired permissions. didn't help either.
i have no idea what the cause could be. bad hardware? bad filesystem? bad os? any ideas?
here's the end of the log file:

I'm getting the same issue; my system wakes up from sleep about half an hour after I put it to sleep. The display never turns on by itself though—just the system. This has happened since the upgrade to 10.6.5. I'm running build 10H574, which I believe is the release version. The issue appears to have existed in pre-release versions, and does not seem to have been fixed in the release.
Can anyone shed some light on this issue?

Hey, I installed 10.4.9 on my iMac G5 and it didn't respond to ctrl-opt-com-eject this morning to shut it down. Anyone else have this problem? I noticed part of the update dealt with keyboard shortcuts and I wonder if the fix knocked this offline.

I won't be able to test this until I get home...is there any way to disable this? I mean what kind of idiot could mess up and hit four keys at the same time on opposite ends of the keyboard...

    iTunes RADIO is not working.
“iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. Make sure your internet connection is active and try again.” Try as I may, as many as ten attempts, trying to connect after restart, after shutdown, nothing works. Just so …
iTunes STORE not “connectable” with my otherwise perfectly-working internet connection, viable, up and running for all other uses.
Simply put, firstly, I can't connect to the internet when I click on Radio.  People are quite suspicious that this is Apple incompetence or your company's famous arrogance for this commonly-suffered problem that you won't or “can’t” fix.
Read the many web comments and you won’t be pleased with yourselves: the suspicion is that if you ruin internet radio on iTunes, Apple will somehow make more money on music downloads, etc. Bull.
Also, thirdly, my old playlist of 20 or so internet radio stations in the Ambient category STILL PLAYS !
Then fourth, I installed the latest available version of QuickTime Player 7.app Version 7.6.6 but it didn’t solve the problem either. I had QuickTime Player.app Version 10.2, but substituted what Apple website said was the latest, LOWER NUMBERED QuickTime Player version of 7.6.6
Fifth, I can't connect to iTunes store no matter what I do or what user group's advice I try. So I can’t buy or download anything from iTunes. Bad for business.
Sixth, I updated to the latest version of iTunes but this weird problem remains. All suggested Apple fixes or user group fixes are useless. Where is Apple’s famous technical competency, vaunted customer support?, and user-friendly product reputation? Get it back, please.
Solve this problem of yours ASAP for us, your numerous disgruntled, dissatisfied customers of iTunes. You can do better, should, and really –in all fairness- must.

NOTE:  no password for iTunes exists in my Keychain. Is this a problem?
Apple ACCOUNT ID, and iTunes ID password, works but not to access iTunes with my healthy internet connection.
Apple store id It works via direct internet connetion but not through iTunes.  Very strange.

Next time you open the photos application hold down both of the keys suggested and then launch the application in the usual way. If you do this you will be presented with the opportunity to repair your library.

Jailbreaking your iPhone forfeits your ability to receive any support on that phone, including from this forum.
You'll have to search elsewhere for answers to your issue.

  • Zen Stone Plus 4GB - Automatic Shutdown - IT DOES NOT WORK

:Zen Stone Plus 4GB - Automatic Shutdown - IT DOES NOT WORKVHello!
I do possess this MP3 Player (with integrated speakers) for more than 2 years now and have never been using the Automatic Shutdown function of the player (in the menu settings). Yesterday, I went to bed, wanted to listen to some music and tried out this function the first time, but it did not work. I tried it with 5, 0 and 30 minutes. What am I doing wrong or is this setting just a joke?
I am using the current software/firmware and am not a newbie to technical instruments so I do know how to - theoretically - start this function by going to setting - Automatic Shutdown - scrolling to the minutes I want to have - Enter/Confirm with the middle ball-knob at the front of the player.
Maybe some of you might help me, I would highly appreciate that.
    Kind regards
    Guyfromgermany

Hi JLM, am running .0.05e fine and in fact listening to it at the moment. Is there anyway you can regress back to .0.03 to test your theory? Testing a bunch of 28k CBR MP3s is an easy thing to try also.Message Edited by BlueRobin on 0-02-200802:49 PM

  • "Search font .." does not work and CS2 crashes with every program shutdown ??

Since yesterday Indesign is showing some strange behaviour ...
At first I encountered that the "search font ..." dialogue does not work anymore, it just does not appear! It´s just as I wouldn´t have clicked anything ... That´s quite a prob for me, I really need this function, because I get a lot of documents with lots of fonts which I have to change. How can this function disappear??
Another strange thing: since the font changing function disappeared Indesign chrashes with everey program shutdown (I´m working on Windows Vista) and on the other hand it´s suspiciously quick when starting ...
Has anyone an idea how I can fix this?
    Thanks!

Maybe good to know: I do not use more than one monitor. I have used the search font function before on the same day it was disappearing. I was working in a document with several hyperlinks imported from Word. as it happens.
Any suggestions? I really need help!

  • Tecra R840 do not shutdown after waking from sleep (USB, BT is not working)

    Hello,
    I've a problem with my R840 running win7pro + SSD.
    After waking it from sleep:
    - no USB activity (but there is power in the ports since I can see the leds on in the external HDD or mouse)
    - my Bluetooth mouse stops working
    - my internet connection will work after 1 or 2 minutes of waiting
    - and...the laptop will not shutdown unless I press the physical on/off button for 5 secs or so!!!
In device manager everything seems ok! The Power management in all the devices/USB hubs etc are set to not turn off the devices to save power!
Already clean booted the laptop several times and the problem remains!
Everything is just fine if the laptop do not sleep!
But I put it in a sleep mode and the I wake it I have all those problems!
    Any sugestions?
    Best Regards,
    paulo

    >But I have the SSD for almost 2 years or so and it worked without this issue for a long time!
    >This appeared (or at least I detected it) suddenly.
Hi Paulo this would mean that there is nothing wrong with the BIOS because as you said above: the unit worked properly in the past.
I guess the system is muddled up and does not work properly after waking up from sleep mode:
Possible solution -> the system should be reinstalled. In case youve got the Toshiba recovery medium, such OS installation / recover process would be very easy and does not take very long

According to this article, that means the Shuffle's buttons are disabled.

  • How can I shutdown my Mac since my Google Chrome is "open" and Force Quit is not working

Can someone help me shutdown my mac?
Problem: Google Chrome is not responding, and force quit from the dock, and using the apple icon seems to not work in quitting Google Chrome. Because of this, I cannot shutdown/restart my macbook pro.

    Try this:
    Command+Control+Option+Power button
If that does not work, as a last resort, hold the power button for about 5 seconds until the MacBook powers off. Wait 30 seconds before starting up again.

I would next backup your device to iTunes with this article:

And restore it first as a new device, and verify that it works properly, then restore from your backup with the same article below to ensure that it is still working.
