BOP on custom ATP categories?!?

Hi everybody,
i need urgent help as i'm facing a big issue on BOP.
We've been forced to create two custom ATP categories to distinguish some particolar sales orders, but seems like BOP is not able to run on non-sap custom categories.
Do you know if it's possible to run BOP also on elements with custom categories? If yes, how? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Points for whom helps!

Hi Srinivas, thanks for answering.
I'll try to clarify the issue, even if i'm not so expert about BOP.
We created two custom ATP categories by copying them from standard sale order category.
We assign these custom categories to sales order with specific requirements (request date lying in the past months, item category = xxx), using an exit before sending these orders to APO through CIF.
The first problem is that, as for the standard configuration, it is not possible to add these custom categories to a BOP filter, and then run BOP.
I've found an exit (  EXIT_/SAPAPO/SAPLBOP_FILT_010) for bop filters, using which the first problem (adding custom categories to the filter) will probably be solved...but i'm not sure then how bop will behave.
In fact these orders, apart from the custom category, are equal to standard orders (BM category)...so i didn't expect any problem...but it happened.
If anybody has any similar experience, please share...
Thanks

  • "ATP Categories" tab on the  CTM:Global Customizing Settings screen

    Hi All,
I want to understand the usage of the "ATP Categories" tab on the  CTM:Global Customizing Settings screen (/SAPAPO/CTMCUST).
Where do we make use of the settings on this screen for the CTM run. The screen talks about the "Subsititute categories for PP/DS with" , "Planning are for SNP categories", "Subsitute categories for SNP with", etc. Pls elaborate the functionalities of these parameters. Any document on the same will be highly appreciated.

Based on my understanding the ATP tab does the equivalent of key figure function in a planning book for Heuristics. It helps CTM identify the various types of demand and receipt categories - to give a differential treatment to the same. It gives ability to also leverage many business-rule specific features/functionalities like substitution.CTM can be run for PPDS detailed planning and rought cut bucket planning for SNP. The planning functions of PPDS and SNP thus require different ATP categories for being able to discriminate between the two.

  • Discussion About The Use Of Project Server 2013 Timesheet Custom Billing Categories (Post SP1 and April 2014 CU Install)

In support of a consulting company using timesheet custom billing categories to designate project time as billable onsite, billable offsite, and non-billable, I've encountered a series of issues which appear to be associated with the custom billing category
timesheet lines.  These issues cause timesheet users to get frustrated, and contribute to misalignment between project actuals and timesheet actuals.  We're in Single Entry Mode, no pre-population, SP1 and April 2014 CU Installed.
I'll enumerate the issues here and pose the question to the community as to whether others are experiencing any/all of these things, and if so,  ask if any workarounds have been discovered.  We're working with Microsoft to validate these independently,
but I am posing the questions to the community to gather additional information, and hopefully save some folks time in troubleshooting similar issues.
1.When time is entered on an assignment into timesheet lines of multiple billing categories, only time entered since the last save is getting saved and ultimately sent, on timesheet submit, to the approval center.  Although the previously entered and
saved time appears in the application interface when the timesheet is re-opened, only data since last save is actually saving to the server or processing through the approval center.  We believe this is the primary cause for timesheet and project actuals
    being out of alignment.
2."_ Error Loading".  When assignments are added, deleted, or changed after a timesheet has been created, standard timesheet lines are added, deleted or changed (i.e. synchronize) with the assignments. However, for custom billing category
timesheet lines, they do not change when the assignments change, and they aren’t removed if the assignment is removed.  We believe this causes secondary errors, like the "_Error Loading"  (and others as will be described below).
3.When a timesheet with time in a non-standard billing category is deleted and recreated, time is arbitrarily moved to standard timesheet lines for the same assignment. If the task assignment is subsequently removed, the timesheet line causes the timesheet
    to break.
4."Error Communicating with Server". When trying to submit a timesheet, a pop-up box appears indicating that there is an error communicating with the server.  This error appears because a timesheet line is no longer associated with a project.
In order to submit the timesheet the orphaned timesheet line must be identified and manually removed. One technique we found which helps to identify an orphaned timesheet line is to select a task and submit task progress. Repeat for all timesheet lines until
you get an error.  The timesheet line(s) with the error can be manually removed from the timesheet, fixing the error.
    5. Unable to Open Specific Timesheets without Error. There are certain scenarios when the "Remove Task" feature is used or an assignment is otherwise removed after creation of a timesheet with custom billing category lines, which causes orphaned
timesheet lines. These orphaned lines can cause issues when trying to open a timesheet. The issue can appear when timesheets are in progress in multiple periods. In the problematic scenario, time is entered and submitted in one period and subsequently
the task is 'removed' from another period before the PM processes the first approval request. Process governance can certainly help here, but improvement in the way synchronization occurs between project assignments and custom billing category timesheet lines
would be great. The error can often be resolved by re-adding the assignment for the problematic timesheet user to the project (which creates a new assignment), and then allows you to open the timesheet.  Then time can be moved from the old timesheet
line to the new timesheet line, and the old one can be removed.
In 4 and 5, sometimes we can't open a timesheet without error, and other times we can open it but not submit it. We are not 100% clear on all the different causes for each. Each of these issues are suspected to be contributing the the misalignment of
data between project actuals and timesheets, which can be a real problem for external projects for which time collected through timesheets are being used to generate invoices.
Although these may seem like separate issues, warranting separate questions, I decided to post them together because they all seem to be related to synchronization of project assignments and timesheet lines for custom billing categories.
Any thoughts or suggestions from the community would be appreciated.
    Best regards,
    Justin
    Justin Naughton

There are many causes for each of the errors mention.  It would be best to put one issue to the forum at a time.  For example, some of these issues occur then tasks are deleted from projects but a timesheet has been submitted.   Depending
on the scenario, some of these issues have been fixed with the latest service pack.
Other issues are due to bad scheduling habits with the project managers and so first determining what they have done can help resolve some the issues.
_error Loading, is because something is NULL in the data and the jave is choking when it build the form. Again, these may be because of delete tasks, resources, projects  or someone doing copying and pasting of rows.
    cheers!
PS.  Train your PM to not COPY and PASTE rows in project schedules.  It can be done, but it can create problems.  There are over 500 fields and some have unique data and the copy paste creates havic.

  • How to assigned the ATP categories to supply categories

    Hello Everybody:
I am trying to creat a supply categorization profile in Multilevel Supply and Demand Matching, I chose CATEGORIZATION USING ATP CATEGORIES in the categorization procedure. When I tried to save it, I am getting a warning with the following diagnosis:
You have selected the categorization procedure Categorization via ATP Categories , but not assigned ATP categories to supply categories.
How do I assign ATP categories to supply categories?
    Your input is indeed appreciated.
    Thank you
    Mono

    HI Mono,
Supply Categorization means grouping  all receipts(Production/Purchase) and stocks that are available for CTM planning before each planning run. With this CTM search strategy, determine the sequence in which the individual supply categories for the fulfilment of demands are to be consumed .
You can create Supply Categories in Tranaction /n/sapapo/supcat
Menu Path is Multilevel Supply & Demand Matching -->Environment -->Current Settings -->Supply Categories

  • Custom ATP integration with oracle

    HI All,
We have a requirement for developing Custom ATP for our client requirement. Anybody has developed this kind of custom ATP in Oracle? Can you share your experience if you come across such requirement? I think if we develop our own ATP in place of Oracle ATP, we have to check ATP override functionality, how ATP deals with Configure to Order, Internal Org transfers and all...If anybody worked such requirement in oracle please share your thoughts.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Mani

There are few functionalities are incompatible in real time by Oracle ATP. U have 2 SOs pegged to diff supplies at Day 5 & Day10. Then due to the supply change to Day 6 & Day 10, the moment you unschedule the SO1, SO2 pegged to Day 6 supply and SO1 pegged to Day 10 supply. So this does not honor the real time optimization. As our demands are huge, we need our own ATP to handle this. You have any idea how the integration between Oracle OM and custom ATP. I just want to have a check list and integration points.

  • Mapping ATP categories to MRP Elements

    Hi All,
I am unable to change mapping of ATP categories to MRP Elements using SPRO settings under "Advanced Planning and Optimization - > Global Available-to-Promise (Global ATP) - > General Settings - > Maintain Category"
Under this settings, I could see mapping of ATP category to MRP Element but when I open it in change mode, I could not able to input the values for "MRP element" and "R3 Object" fields.
Could you please let me know the correct path in SPRO for mapping the  ATP categories in APO to MRP Elements in R3.
    Regards,
    Sagar Dodla.

    Thanks for your reply.
We have substitute orders created in APO(As part of interchangeability), the ATP categories of these orders are maintained as APO Local Object and not mapped to any MRP elements.
We need to transfer these substitute requirements/receipts to R/3. I thought that I can remove the "APO Local object" and map these categories to MRP elements so that these orders gets transferred to R/3.
Could you please suggest me how can I get Substitute orders into R/3.

  • Custom ATP Check

    Hello All
We have custom ATP(Material Check) functionality built in ECC. And we are in position to use this custom FM to carrier out ATP in CRM and show some additional information on the Order.
    Please advice on the following:
    1. Should we have disable the standard ATP configuration in CRM since we have a custom logic built in ECC
    2. Is their any BADI available for carrying custom ATP check(regardless of Configuration) and bring additional data from ECC?
    3. How can we use standard fields that holds Confirmed Quantity and date to hold the same data but from custom ATP FM
    Cheers
    RJ

Yes. I am planning to make expilict call to ECC.
<If you are not big on any integration benefits that might come with the standard, you can as well "disable" the standard call.
There is no BAdI for what you are asking for. But still try CRM_AV_CHECK_R3_01 and CRM_AV_CHECK_FC_01*
Once you have got the values from your custom RFC, check BAdI - CRM_SCHEDLIN_BADI >
I checked this BADI CRM_AV_CHECK_R3_01 but it looks to me that this has the capability to change only the Destination.
I am unsure about this badi CRM_AV_CHECK_FC_01* and when this would be called during the Order Processing.
Could you please let me know more details about the badi CRM_SCHEDLIN_BADI ?
I need to save custom obtained Confirmed Quantity and Date(from RFC) into the standard fields.
    Cheers

  • Figuring out "Relevant" ATP Categories

    Hi,
If I want to "pick" the right/relevant ATP categories for a new check control in a already productive system (in which I havent worked hands on), in which direction should I start thinking / exploring to narrow down on the correct ATP categories. A couple of them are evident by cateory description and its relevant MRP element and type (Stock, receipts, requirement)
e.g. say the context is to have "Subcontrator Orders" in the check control. Now there are 2 evident ATP categories on this BA (requirements)  and BB (receipts).. both with exactly the same text and they both correspond to same MRP element BB.
    - First I am not sure which one of these would make "sense" to be included in the check control.
-Second I am not sure if there are any additional ATP categories that should be included to lend sense.
If you could guide. I know its an open ended question but just wanted to know the thought process around this.
    Regards,
    Loknath

    Thanks Mohan,
I have to read whole of ECC Logistics to figure all about ATP categories..
The more specific question is below
The need is to create a new check control with some additional ATP categories in which one of the category is
"Stock Transfer Reservation" (Category BC). There already exists a category "Order reservation withdrawable  (category AV) along with several other categories
Now category BC corresponds to MRP element UL and the invoking tcodes are are MB22/MB23 (change/display reservation)
But AV corresponds to MRP element AR and the invoking tcode is CO03 (production order display ! )
    Questions:
    - Why is a reservation document referring a production order.
    - Do I need to activate the integration model for Manual Reservations to CIF stock transfer reservations given that Order reservations are CIF'd to APO with basic material model. I could have tested but now I dont know how to create a stock transfer reservation.. It is just a reservation. Isnt it ? or am I missing anything.
    Please give some directions.
    Regards,
    Loknath

  • IDOC for custom confirmation categories in a purchase order

    Hi Gurus,
I am stuck with a problem in incoming IDOCS. We are creating new confirmation categories, other than AA, AB and LA.
I need two of them, Z1 and Z2 (custom confirmation type/category) to come via EDI
However SAP says that only conf categories associated with internal conf categories (order acknowledgment, shipping notification, rough goods receipt) can come via EDI.
Creating internal conf categories does not seem to be allowed in SAP.
Is there some specific IDOC type that can be used to bring in z1,z2?
we are already using DESADV for LA and SHPMNT for shipment.
I am trying SHPCON for this purpose, but i dont see any field for conf type (EBTYP). Then i looked into ORDRSP
    Any help will be appreciated
    Thanks

  • Hiding default custom property categories on a web part

    Hi All,
I'm developing a web part with some custom properties. I have no use for the default attribute categories (Appearance, Layout, Advanced) and I'd like to simplify the UI for the user.
Is there a way to hide the default property categories on the tool pane via code?
Is there a way to have my property category open by default rather than the Appearance category?

  • Custom ATP Check using Variant Configuration Data in sales order

I have a requirement to modify the standard SAP ATP check by including the variant configuration data entered on a item.  Standard SAP does not use/include the characteristics data when doing the ATP. None of the available user exits would allow me to do this.
The scenario is the client has a configurable product that exist in inventory as one item, base unit as IN2.  The batches that exist in inventory have the characteristics of width and length.  The order data specifies a width and a length, they need the ATP to identify the availability based on the characteristics of the batch.
The solution was to present the user with a list of batches based on the characteristics that meet the criteria.  The user would then have the option of choosing one of the batches which would mean that the line item would include the batch #.  If the user does not want any of the batches, they could choose to select a Make to Order option, which would change the item category of the item, so that it creates a production order upon saving the order.
The problem I am having implementing this solution is I have not been able to identify the internal table(s) that contains the characteristics data in SAPMV45A after the configuration screen is called.  If anyone knows where that information is during the sales order processing, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello Jean,
Have you managed to find a solution as yet? I know you have not received any replies but am hoping you were able to resolve the problem as we are facing the exact issue on our project.
    Please let me know,
    Thanks,

  • Custom URL Categories

I run a url whitelist and blacklist on my S650 and I have noticed some strange behavior.
If I put "somesite.com" in my blacklist it will block the base url "somesite.com". It will not, however, block "www.somesite.com". If I put ".somesite.com" it will block "www.somesite.com" but will not block "somesite.com". Is this intended? Do I have to put "somesite.com, .somesite.com" for every url?
    Thanks

    RBC,
This is the intended behavior. It's the way that the simple match works. You can use regex matching to only specify the domain, but regex uses 10+ times the amount of cpu for matching.
I recommend never using regex unless you need to match a path.

  • ATP for Internal orders

    Hi All,
I'm a new Oracle user asking for your help. We are using the ATP for make-to-order items only in order to assign to the sales orders a scheduled ship date that consider the manufacturing LT set up in the "Cumulative Manufacturing" field in the org item. We receive two different types of orders- Sales orders and Internal Orders. It looks like the ATP works for the sales orders only. Could you advise if it is possible to set it up for internal orders as well?
    Many thanks

    Hi
Thanks, but the internal sales orders will be sent to APO with a new Z ATP category. We want to know if this new Z ATP category can be used for example in the BOP also for back order processing.
Also if there are inconsistencies, can inconsistent sales orders with the Z ATP category also be recognized in the Delta report, or do we need to make enhancements?
I could not find a clear note which describes if you create a new ATP catagory for sales orders in APO which standard APO eports will work seamlessly with the new ATP categoy. And if the below reports should be enhanced (user exits, BADI etc) to make sure sales orders assigned to a custom ATP category will also be included in the comparisson between APO and R/3.
    Backorder processing: /SAPAPO/BOP
    Deltareport: /SAPAPO/CIF_DELTAREPORT3
    Correction report: /SAPAPO/SDRQCR21

  • ATP category assignment in APO

    Hi Experts,
how is it decided in APO which ATP category will be assigned to which material doc.
why is it that ATP cat "CC" is for stock. If I want to use CS instead what are changes do I need to perform in R/3 and in APO.

    Dear VS03,
the ATP categories are defined in customizing (transaction SPRO) to an "ATP Group" and "Business Event". This "ATP Group" can be then assigned to an appropriate material and the business event is assigned to the document category. Sales order = A , Delivery =B etc.
You can change also the assigned Stock categories in SPRO: APO- GATP - Product availability check - Maintain check control.
