Bought iPod Shuffle as a gift - will it be linked to my email address

I bought 3 iPod shuffles as gifts for people I do not know in a gift drive. When they register the product will it be associates with my email address? I have 3 iPods associated with this email address and I do not want to run into issues.

  • Giving ipod shuffle as a gift??

I'm giving an ipod shuffle as a gift and I wanted to put some music on it for my friend. I was going to copy some songs that I have downloaded from my own personal CD's. Will this work or will it cause a problem when he installs itunes on his computer??

First, it is a very nice gift, but you can't give away those songs unless you own the copyright, it is a theft, and please don't steal music.
Second, when they sync the Shuffle to their computer it will erase all those songs anyway.
Why not give them an iTunes card instead?

  • I have an ipod nano and i am giving an ipod shuffle as a gift. how do i get only the songs i want onto tthe ipod shuffle

i have an  ipod nano and i am giving a friend an ipod shuffle as a gift. i want to put selective tunes on the ipod shuffle from the 2000  songs i have on my ipod nano list. how do i accomplish that?

Syncing is from iTunes library to iPod.  You cannot directly transfer songs from one iPod to another iPod.
Also, since your friend does not own those song, you are describing a form of music piracy.  That topic is not appropriate for a discussion forum that Apple operates and maintains.

My iPad, Macbook and Apple TV are all set up with the same iCloud email address.  I bought the iPhone 6 and accidentally set the iCloud up with a different email.  My phone will not let me change the email address to be the same as my other devices, it tells me that email is already being used. How do I delete the iPhones iCloud account and reinstall it to match my other devices.

Yes it will, just sign out, then sign back in with the correct address.

  • What speakers will work with iPod shuffle 2G, what speakers will work with iPod shuffle 2G

What speakers will work with iPod shuffle?

Any speakers that are self-powered (has its own power supply), and connect using standard 1/8-inch "mini-sterio" jack (the same connector on regular headphones).

  • Two different podcasts venues onto my iPod shuffle but only one will play.

I download two differnt podcast venues onto my iPod shuffle, yet the shuffle will play only one of them, looping the first to the last. If I delete that all the programs of that podcast -then the other podcast programs will play-yet there seems no way to advance, attach or mix them.  How do I correct this?
    Thanks,
    GMO

You need to use VoiceOver to switch to the other list of podcasts.

  • PowerBook won't recognize iPod Shuffle 2nd Gen, PC will

Just before I throw yet another iPod Shuffle 2nd Gen 1GB down the toilet, I thought I'd check here for "Death Row"/"Life Support" suggestions. I've read similar questions with no, or unhelpful, answers, but here goes anyway:
After a whopping two weeks of use, my iPod stopped being recognized by my PowerBook. Not in iTunes, not in System Profiler, not in UNIX (etc etc). However, it is still being recognized by an old PC laptop I have that runs Windows 2000. So far I've tried the following:
    -- The 5 R's
-- rolling back to iTunes 6 on Mac
-- iPod Reset Utility on the PowerBook (Mac doesn't recognize it so that's a dead end)
-- Restoring the iPod on the PC via iTunes
-- iPod Reset Utility on the PC
-- formatting the iPod as a drive on the PC
-- running Yamipod on both Mac and PC (admittedly, that was desperate)
Nothing, absolutely nothing, got the Mac to recognize the iPod. At this point, I've already used my one phone call with Apple Support (owning an iPod is kinda like being in jail!) and, even though it's under warranty, since I'm in the middle of nowhere in Mexico, getting the iPod back to Apple will cost me, oh, about the cost of a new iPod Shuffle!

If anyone comes across this post because they have the same problem, and you're "tech-savvy" enough to figure out how to reset your iPod, forget it, do yourself a favor and stop looking in this forum.
Below are links to three recent posts, all people with the same problem, none of them got any help from any Apple moderators and got "helpful" answers like "try cleaning your USB port" and "did you sweat too much while using it?"
"Not recognized by OS X or Windows XP -- charges and plays fine, though"

It's a common problem, Apple knows, Apple doesn't care, so, if you can, send it back or, better yet, throw it away and save yourself future headaches.

  • Need another usb cord for ipod shuffle. One that will sync to new ford explorer and charge as well.

Which usb cord is best to use with ipod shuffle in new ford explorer.  Would like to be able to sync and charge.

Which iPod shuffle do you have?  This document shows the four types
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1719
If it's 2nd gen, do not get a USB cable that is for 3rd/4th gen, because the connector is different.
iPods only "sync" to computers running iTunes. It may work to make song files (on the shuffle) available to play by the car audio system, but that depends on the specification of the car audio system, not the cable.  The car audio system would be using the shuffle like it was a USB flash drive (not syncing).  You'll need to look at the car audio system's documentation to see what devices are supported.

  • I have a question when I try to authorize my daughters ipod to itunes on a new computer it pulls up a email addresse I do not know and will not transfer her music is there any way to fix this Thanks in advance

When trying to authorize my daughtes ipod classic to a new laptop it pops up and asks for apple id but  the email is not one of ours and  it will not let me change it is there any way to fix this problem Thanks in advance

To whom does the email address belong to? Are you sure it wasn't an email address used in the past or perhaps one that had belonged to a friend of hers?
Either way, if the music on her iPod was purchased under an account not belonging to her or you, there is much you can do. Sorry.
