Box with smooth edges - sap script

hi experts,
i draw a box using box command in script its edges are sharp
but i want edges to be smooth ( like curve lines in edges)
can anybody explain in detail..

I'm pretty sure that you can't do that in SAPscript.  You may be able to in Smartforms or Adobe Interactive Forms.  If you must use SAPscript and the text in question is fixed, you can do the following.
Create an image file using MS Paint(or whatever)
Upload the image via SE78
Include this image in your sapscript.

  • Label printing issue with chinese characters (SAP script)

    Hi ,
I have a requirement to print chinese characters on label print out.
Here are the steps already tried:
    1) Created a new device type which is copy if ASCIIPRI and character set 8400
    2) Font ANDALE_S, CNHEI, CNSONG are assigned to device type, same fonts called in SAP script.
    3) During the print, it is picking ANDALE_S font(observed in spool RAW data), but preview is good.
    4) I put ZPL codes CW1,B:MSUNG.FNTFS in beginning of script and also ^A@N,50,50,B:MSUNG.FNT while prining actual chinese text in SAP script.
    5) also tried other device types assigned to printer LZEBU2, LB_ZEB2 etc.,
    6) already checked at printer DIMM level, SIMSUN, ANDALE_S fonts are already installed
    7) Character set on printer is same as in SAP
So far no option worked, it default to Courier fonts while printing and it results garbage characters.
If anyone has ideas, please advice.
    thank you,
    Anil

    Hi,,
If the ZPL commands are correct for switching to the printer's internal CHinese font and character set, it may work to add the fonts via SE73 -> Printer Fonts -> ASCIIPRI . In here you need to add the commands in the print control SFxxx for your created font.
Another possibility is to print via windows and device type CNSAPWIN. Here it should not be necessary to add any font.

  • Box printing in SAP script

i want to display box in Window in SAP script.. n  in that box i want to habe Amout Rs Printed... please help mi with the same

    Text Elements
You can define text elements (window texts) for each window. On the Form: Request screen, choose Edit ® Text elements.
The print program accesses text elements by name, formats them and prints them in the respective window. That is, the program can decide which text elements should be printed in a particular window. It calls these text elements by name to print them. You must therefore change text element names in the print program if you make any changes to text element names in a form.
In the layout of a text element, you can use only the paragraph and character formats defined in the form.
Example of a text element in an order confirmation:
    /E ITEM_LINE
    IL &VBDPA-POSNR&,,&VBDPA-MATNR&,,&VBDPA-ARKTX&
    / &'Customerarticlenumber 'VBDPA-IDNKD' '&&'Position
    / 'VBDPA-POSEX&
This example shows a section of a main window of a form, with an item line of an order confirmation. The /E in the tag column is used to identify the text as a text element, ITEM_LINE is the name of the text element.
    Default Text Element
At the start of a window, you can define a text element without the /E command in the paragraph format column. This text is always printed at the start of the window. It is not necessary to insert this text explicitly via a print program.

  • Need help with getting images to look smooth (without the bitmap squares) around the edges. When I transfer the image from pictures, it sets itself into the InDesign layout, but with square edges. I need to find out how to get it to look smooth?

Need to find out how to get my images transferred into an InDesign layout without the rough edges, as with a bit map image, but to appear with smooth edges in the layout. I can notice it more when I enlarge the file (pic). How can I get it to appear smooth in the finished layout. Another thing too that I noticed; it seems to have effected the other photos in the layout. They seem to be
pixelated too after I import the illustration (hand drawn artwork...)? Any assistance with this issue will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

No Clipboard, no copy & paste, as you would not get the full information of the image.
When you paste you can't get the image info from the Links panel, but you can get resolution and color info either via the Preflight panel or by exporting to PDF and checking the image in Acrobat.
Here I've pasted a 300ppi image, scaled it, and made a Preflight rule that catches any image under 1200ppi. The panel gives me the effective resolution of the pasted image as 556ppi. There are other workflow reasons not to paste—you loose the ability to easily edit the original and large file sizes—but pasting wouldn't cause a loss in effective resolution or change in color mode.

  • Smooth edges - GIF animation

    Hello there!
Sorry if another theme about my question already exists in the forum...
I'm using PS CS4 and trying to Save for Web & Devices an GIF transparent animation, but I need it to be with smooth edges. I tried to add different type dither to the transparency but I don't like the result at all.
Any idea how to make the animation with PERFECT SMOOTH edges?
I'll be realy thankful and appreciate your help
    All the best!
    chkrov

Its hard to get a true anti-aliased edge using the gif format, simply because it only offers a single color that can be used as the transparency. If at all possible you are better off using the png format and before anyone says that you can not use png for an animation, think again. Take a look at some of the examples on the net for creating rollovers using javascript.  It is the same principle used for game sprites.
    Example:
If the image is to be 100x100px and the animation is 10 frames, then the original image should be 1000px wide x 100px high containing all of the images in the same document. On the web page the first frame is visible at 100x100 hiding the remaining part of the document. Then the next frame is visible by moving the image. And so on.
Anyway, its better to look at some examples on the web at it probably would make more sense than what I am trying to explain.
    Just an idea...

  • SAP-Script - Draw Table (Boxes) with variable number of lines

    Hello,
I want to create a Table with Frames in a SAP-Script Form. First of all I don´t know the position of the table in the window main. It can be page 2 or 3 on top or in the middle. But i have to describe a position like
POSITION YORIGIN '12.95' CM.  How can i position the table in a variable way?
And i don´t know the number of lines of the table. How can I manage to draw the correct numbers of boxes as numbers of lines exist?
    Kind Regards
    Carsten Fuchs

    Hi carsten,
    1. Drawing GRID (just like excel, matrix)
is very cumbersome in sapscript layout.
      (either dynamically, or hardcoded)
    2. Moreover, the final look,
may or maynot appear as requried,.
ie. exactly with proper alignment and grid lines.
    3. If the font size is required to change,
then the dynamic position also changes.
    4. If the grid is supposed to go to the next page,
again the calculation and logic becomes tougher.
    5. To use grid, its better to use smartform,
which provided FINE CONTROL of the grid
and its lines and width, height, style etc.
    6. In sapsctip, at most we can use
       UNDERLINE (_) and PIPE (|)
    regards,
    amit m.

  • Check Box With Tick Mark on Sap Script

    Hello All,
We need to add a check box with tick mark on Sap Script. Please can anyone let me know how can we add it.
    Regards
    Amruta

    hi amruta,
The soluti as an image into on to your problem can be to use the symbol icon as told , but this may show in preview not in print.
I too faced the same problem.
So what i had done is created a new window with the diemnsions of the chekc box with border thcikness 8 tw and inside that window place a checkmark symbol.
if this checkmark symbol also does not show up in print preview/  doesshow in print preview and not in print then you can scan a chekcmark image and upload it into business document server as a BMP/ TIFF image and use this image in your checkbox window.
    Hope this solves your problem.

BOX XPOS '120' MM WIDTH 0 TW HEIGHT '140' MM FRAME 10 TW
Boxes, Lines, Shading: BOX, POSITION, SIZE
Use the BOX, POSITION, and SIZE commands for drawing boxes, lines, and shading to print particular windows within a form or passages of text within a window in a frame or with shading.
The SAP printer drivers that are based on page-oriented printers (the HP LaserJet driver HPL2, the Postscript driver POST, the Kyocera Prescribe driver PRES) employ these commands when printing. Line printers and page-oriented printers not supported in the standard ignore these commands. You can view the resulting printer output in the SAPscript print preview.
    Syntax:
/: BOX [XPOS] [YPOS] [WIDTH] [HEIGHT] [FRAME] [INTENSITY]
/: POSITION [XORIGIN] [YORIGIN] [WINDOW] [PAGE]
/: SIZE [WIDTH] [HEIGHT] [WINDOW] [PAGE]
    BOX Command
    Syntax
/: BOX [XPOS] [YPOS] [WIDTH] [HEIGHT] [FRAME] [INTENSITY]
Effect: draws a box of the specified size at the specified position.
Parameters: For each of XPOS, YPOS, WIDTH, HEIGHT, and FRAME, you must specify both a measurement and a unit of measurement. Specify the INTENSITY parameter as a percentage between 0 and 100.
    XPOS, YPOS
Upper left corner of the box, relative to the values of the POSITION command.
Default: Values specified in the POSITION command.
The following calculation is performed internally to determine the absolute output position of a box on the page:
    X(abs) = XORIGIN + XPOS
    Y(abs) = YORIGIN + YPOS
    WIDTH
Width of the box. Default: WIDTH value of the SIZE command.
    HEIGHT
Height of the box. Default: HEIGHT value of the SIZE command.
    FRAME
    Thickness of frame.
    Default: 0 (no frame).
    INTENSITY
Grayscale of box contents as %.
    Default: 100 (full black)
Measurements: You must specify decimal numbers as literal values (like ABAP numeric constants) by enclosing them in inverted commas. Use the period as the decimal point character. See also the examples listed below.
Units of measurement: The following units of measurement may be used:
    TW (twip)
    PT (point)
    IN (inch)
    MM (millimeter)
    CM (centimeter)
    LN (line)
    CH (character).
    The following conversion factors apply:
    1 TW = 1/20 PT
    1 PT = 1/72 IN
    1 IN = 2.54 CM
    1 CM = 10 MM
1 CH = height of a character relative to the CPI specification in the form header
1 LN = height of a line relative to the LPI specification in the form header
    /: BOX FRAME 10 TW
Draws a frame around the current window with a frame thickness of 10 TW (= 0.5 PT).
    /: BOX INTENSITY 10
Fills the window background with shading having a gray scale of 10 %.
/: BOX HEIGHT 0 TW FRAME 10 TW
Draws a horizontal line across the complete top edge of the window.
/: BOX WIDTH 0 TW FRAME 10 TW
Draws a vertical line along the complete height of the left hand edge of the window.
/: BOX WIDTH '17.5' CM HEIGHT 1 CM FRAME 10 TW INTENSITY 15
/: BOX WIDTH '17.5' CM HEIGHT '13.5' CM FRAME 10 TW
/: BOX XPOS '10.0' CM WIDTH 0 TW HEIGHT '13.5' CM FRAME 10 TW
/: BOX XPOS '13.5' CM WIDTH 0 TW HEIGHT '13.5' CM FRAME 10 TW
Draws two rectangles and two lines to construct a table of three columns with a highlighted heading section.
    POSITION Command
    Syntax
/: POSITION [XORIGIN] [YORIGIN] [WINDOW] [PAGE]
Effect: Sets the origin for the coordinate system used by the XPOS and YPOS parameters of the BOX command. When a window is first started, the POSITION value is set to refer to the upper left corner of the window (default setting).
Parameters: If a parameter value does not have a leading sign, then its value is interpreted as an absolute value, in other words, as a value that specifies an offset from the upper left corner of the output page. If a parameter value is specified with a leading sign, then the new value of the parameter is calculated relative to the old value. If one of the parameter specifications is missing, then no change is made to this parameter.
    XORIGIN, YORIGIN
    Origin of the coordinate system.
    WINDOW
Sets the values for the left and upper edges to match those of the current window (default setting).
    PAGE
Sets the values for the left and upper edges to match those of the current output page (XORIGIN = 0 cm, YORIGIN = 0 cm).
    /: POSITION WINDOW
Sets the origin for the coordinate system to the upper left corner of the window.
/: POSITION XORIGIN 2 CM YORIGIN '2.5 CM'
Sets the origin for the coordinate system to a point 2 cm from the left edge and 2.5 cm from the upper edge of the output page.
/: POSITION XORIGIN '-1.5' CM YORIGIN -1 CM
Shifts the origin for the coordinates 1.5 cm to the left and 1 cm up.
    SIZE Command
    Syntax
/: SIZE [WIDTH] [HEIGHT] [WINDOW] [PAGE]
Effect: Sets the values of the WIDTH and HEIGHT parameters used in the BOX command. When a window is first started, the SIZE value is set to the same values as the window itself (default setting).
Parameters: If one of the parameter specifications is missing, then no change is made to the current value of this parameter. If a parameter value does not have a leading sign, then its value is interpreted as an absolute value. If a parameter value is specified with a leading sign, then the new value of the parameter is calculated relative to the old value.
    WIDTH, HEIGHT
Dimensions of the rectangle or line.
    WINDOW
Sets the values for the width and height to the values of the current window (default setting).
    PAGE
Sets the values for the width and height to the values of the current output page.
    /: SIZE WINDOW
Sets WIDTH and HEIGHT to the current window dimensions.
/: SIZE WIDTH '3.5' CM HEIGHT '7.6' CM
Sets WIDTH to 3.5 cm and HEIGHT to 7.6 cm.
    /: POSITION WINDOW
/: POSITION XORIGIN -20 TW YORIGIN -20 TW
/: SIZE WIDTH +40 TW HEIGHT +40 TW
    /: BOX FRAME 10 TW
A frame is added to the current window. The edges of the frame extend beyond the edges of the window itself, so as to avoid obscuring the leading and trailing text characters.

  • Printing of boxes in Main window of SAP Script at 2 different locations

    Hi Experts,
I have an requriement in SAP script, I want to draw two boxes. The first box will be at the beginging of main window with 0.5 cm, which is comming perfectly. After the first box I have to display the entries related to a particular table, after the completion of that table I need to draw another box of lenght 0.5cm and the entries related to another table, needs to be displayed.
I am able to get the first box with intensity, but for the second box I am not getting exact position where i need to draw a dynamic box by filling intensity.
For that reason i have drawn two ulines and wrote the text, is there any way to fill internsity in between those lines.
    Thanks
    Ravi.

    Hi Sujeet,
I already tried with that command, the problem is in between two boxes I dont know how many lines of data will come.
There is a need of drawing a box dynamically.
    Thanks

  • SAP-Script; Is it possible to handle the BOX -Statement dynamic?

    Hi Scripters!
My consultant wants a box around some information in a SAP-Script form.
Normally this is quite easy, BUT in this case i have the information (which needs the box around) printed after the positions.
So problem is: the box can not have a certain position in the Form since i dont know how much positions are to be printed.
    any ideas on this subject?

    Hi Florian,
Yes it is possible to play arount with positions of Box.
You can pass variable name in between & in place of fixed XPOS and YPOS.
and pass value to that dynamic variable.
You have to test a lot with different values in those variables for pefect settings.
Hope it will solve your problem.

    Hi All,
I have a SAP Script where Boxes Width are based on CH for ex..
BOX YPOS 1 LN WIDTH 3 CH HEIGHT 1 LN FRAME 1 TW'
BOX YPOS 1 LN  XPOS 3 CH WIDTH 18 CH HEIGHT 1 LN FRAME 1 TW
Now i have to populate the value in that 2 box with some values say mandt and matnr which are 3 and 18 char in length (Keeping those length in mind i desined the boxes)
When i use Courier Font Size 12 , it fits fine in box boxes but when i use font size 8 then everything is messed up...
It start up properly then the first character of matnr is displayed in the first box...
How do i determine the box size width based on the font size ...
In SAP Script header setting i have char/inch set up as 10 --Would that make any difference
Please the client needs in SAP Script only...
    Thanks
