BPEL & BPMN Process Model Graphic & Progress

Hi All,
IHAC who wants to develop custom worklist + user interfaces.
Is there a way to get the BPMN or BPEL process graphic + progress for this customer interface so
1.) BPM Workspace > Process Tracking > selected work item > Audit Trail > Graphical section
2.) BPEL --> OEM Instances > specific instance > Flow Tab
OSOA & OBPM 11.1.1.4.
Cheers
Craig

Hi User 611788
1.a
The WSDL file should have partnerlinks for BPA to generate executable BPEL. Now since most WSDLs do not have a partnerlink, JDev will automatically create it for you.
1. b I think you know the answer already. You can at best get a defined variable, which will again need to be assigned correctly. Having said this, there was a bug on XSD export which has since been fixed and should be a part of upcomiong relase / patchset.
I think a clear understanding of what's owned by business and what's owned by IT is really important to answer these questions. Even if we create partenrlinks automatically, who is going to create the assigns? Who is going to write the XPath expressions? Who is going to do XSLT transformations.
2. BPMN attributes do get translated to BPEL and we are working on a white paper to document what is done by BPA Suite.
3. Nope - most Human Task attributes are created from the attributes except for workflow pattern and assignees, owners.
4. The white paper is in the works.

  • Versioning of BPMN Process Models and Change Management

    Hi all,
Can any of you please provide insight on how can we do the following change management activities?
    1. Version Control of BPMN Models synchronized with the change management activities
    2. In the Help documentation, two roles called Improvement Manager and Modeler were mentioned. How do we define their roles in the Administration? In User Management I see only one function privilege "Change Management" and both Improvement Manager and Modeller will have this privilege. Than how they are distinguished in their roles?
    3. Does it also support a work flow and notification mechanism?
    Thanks in anticipation.
    Best regards,
    Raja Mohan

    Hi,
I'd just like to add some quick points that you need to consider:
Implicit version control is not supported in the current release (10.1.3.4) but it will be supported in Release 11 (upcoming release). There are some workarounds/alternatives like attributes (Status, Since/on, Released on, Released by, Release) and external version control system combined with the XML import/export functionality (Re: Control Version
The Change Management can be used to describe upcoming modeling tasks within the Business Process Architect. This implicates changes from IT, adding new objects, adjustments of models or control flow, etc... Especially it is suitable to document suggestions for future model improvements.
"Does it also support a work flow and notification mechanism?"I think this might be a governance topic that has to be created on your own.
    Hope it helps,
    Danilo

  • How to read JMS message properties from BPEL or BPMN process

    Hi all,
I have a JMS Adapter that consumes messages from a remote ActiveMQ queue and I don't find the way the get the properties of the JMS message as I would like to map them in BPEL or BPMN process variable. I only manage to get the content of the message.
I've also read that if using a MapMessage, one of the map entry can be mapped directly and that the other map entries go to jca.jms.Map.xxxx where xxxx is key of the map entry.
But how can I map those "jca.jms.Map.xxxx" properties on process variables ? and how to map JMS Properties (that seem to be mapped on jca.jms.JMSProperty.xxxx) to process variables ?
    I use SOA Suite version : 11.1.1.4.0
    Thanks for your help

  • Creating BPMN compliant process models

    Hi,
I'm facing a usability issue with the tool - eval version of BP Architect downloaded from OTN.
Am I missing something or does this version not provide the option to model processes in BPMN notations. I see all types of process modeling methodology options as part of the ARIS house - EPC, UML activity, Office Processes, but no option for BPMN notation types.
Scanned the documents that came with the product download with no specific information on how to generate a BPMN model from an EPC.
    Thanks in advance,
    Sharmin

    Sharmin,
First make sure that you are using the "Entire Method" filter. Once you do that in the ARIS house, you would also find a method called Business Process Diagram (BPMN). That provides the BPMN notation.
At this point, you can not generate a BPMN model from an EPC model. Just curious why would you want to do that. You could choose either EPC or BPMN upfront and then stick to that notation.

  • Call a BPEL/BPM process when ever a process model is edited through BPM Publisher

    Hi All,
We have a requirement to trigger a BPEL/BPM process if a Process Model is edited through Process Publisher or if a process model is published through Process Architect.
Could you please let us know if there is anyway to achive it.
    Thanks
    Rajesh.

The above issue is seen when we don't have proper FP patchset. after applying a patchset all issues sloved

  • BPEL Process Modeler

According to the documentation I should see "BPEL Process Manager Server" under the connections in JDev (version 10.1.3.3). I have installed the SOA suite and Business Process Manager.
I do not see this - I am sure I have missed something. Thanks
To add..the steps after BPM install say:
    "Install JDeveloper
Please follow the install instructions available on the download page to install the Studio Edition of JDeveloper. This version of JDeveloper already includes the BPEL and ESB Designer plugins."
    I see the plugin/extension:
BPEL Process Modeler     oracle.bpm.modeler     10.1.3.1.0.070615.0525     Loaded
I just can't seem to use it.

  • Percentage progress in "Collaboration Process modeling"

    Hi gurus,
do you have same experience on "Process modeling" utilization?
I don't understand how the percentage of completion is manage (automatically, manually,... ?!?!).
Seems that I can only change manually the status (Open, in process, completed) in my own process. While in standard example I see the percentage completion but I don't understand how it is calculated.
    KR

    Hi AleK,
As far as I know it should be linked with the completion of the tasks that are assigned to each process step.
e.g: if you have 2 tasks and one is completed -> 50%

  • Do SAP have a process modeling tool included on one of their solutions ?

    Hello,
I'm new in this blog.  I would like to post the question
Do SAP have a process modeling tool included on one of their solutions ?
    I appreciate if somebody answers.
    JCT

    Hi Theo,
I was leaving under the same perception, but I found out that ARIS supports BPMN. Not the full 1.0 standard but you still have start, end and intermediate events (include message, timer, error, cancel, rule, link, etc'), Tasks (without visual support for sub-process, loop and multiple), flows (normal, conditional and default), pool, lane and artifacts. in a matter of fact, I'm working on an blog post about modeling business process with ARIS using BPMN those days.
In my <b>OWN</b> opinion I think that EPC is out of date and we shouldn't use it. this modeling notation is mostly known in the SAP world and comparing to BPMN is also poor in notations. BPMN is more reach and let you express processes in more clearer way (Until last version you can't even express exception in a process). although BPMN is young standard it has better "father" and it's always better to work with standards rather then niche modeling notations.
Before enter the SAP world I used to use mainly BPMN and BPEL (UML, IDEF0 and value chain maps were also used from time to time), But i didn't work with EPC at all. I think that we can model processes using BPMN and I'm happy that ARIS let us do it (btw, who said that we have to use ARIS. but that's another story).
    well .... just my thoughts

    Hi Matt
Till you get exact answer, try indirect approach. I did view page source and could not find the details in the source code. Then I clicked on image to show in new browser and thats when I got this link: You can dig into this imageRenderer.jsp file that can be found in one of the WAR files shown below. Look into EARs also that my have WARs with this jsp. Mostly there should be some sort of Servlet also to display the audit trail. I just checked from bpm/workspace Process Tracking Tab. I did not looked from EM Console tracking tabs though.
beaHome\Oracle_SOA1\soa\applications\OracleBPMWorkspace.ear has a OracleBPMWorkspace.war file. See if this direction helps

  • Notification: "The report deployment process in in progress"

    Hi All,
We're implementing Service manager and we have an issue with the reporting management packs.
Upon opening the Service manager console we're getting the error:
"The report deployment process in in progress. To determine when management pack deployment is complete, see the procedure in the service manager deployment guide. You can view reports after management packs have been deployed."
I've consulted the guide and the MPsyncjobs tasks runs and completes in under 1 minute, the Get-SCDWJob command returns the following:
    BatchId Name                 Status       CategoryName     StartTime
    6490    MPSyncJob            Not Started  Synchronization
    6482    DWMaintenance        Not Started  Maintenance
    6488    Load.Common          Not Started  Load
    6484    Load.OMDWDataMart    Not Started  Load
    6485    Load.CMDWDataMart    Not Started  Load
    6492    Extract_DW_SBCSMDW   Not Started  Extract
    6486    Transform.Common     Not Started  Transform
In the GUI under "data warehouse jobs" the job MPSyncJob is Not started but in the details section under Job Progress it's stuck at 48/48 and looks like it's running.
I'm new to System Center so if anyone could point me into the right direction to work out how to get reporting working that would be great.
    Thanks.

Modified the required files as per the specifiacation in both xml and properties files .
    Deployed the service successfully.
But problem is it's not picking the file from the source server.
Please guide me how to test the service...in the bpel after deploying the service...
how the check the service log ?

  • Message correlation in BPMN processes

    Hi all,
I need to implement a BPMN process (using Oracle BPM Suite 11.1.1.3) which has to wait for an intermediate message event. There is no previouly started conversation between a process and external client just an interface (e.g SOAP or JMS) available for a client to interact with a process for instance to send an additional information any time a client wants. Obviously a message must be correlated with a process instance. In BPEL we have a correlation set mechanism for this. But what should we do in case of BPMN processes?
    Regards,
    Ivan

    Hi,
I have the same problem. Have you found a solution ?
    Thank You

  • Business Process Modelling

    Hi,
What would be the 5 main things required during Business Process Modelling?
    Thanks

    Could you be more specific?
Are you interested in the skills involved? (e.g. BPMN, facilitation sessions, knowledge of the business)
Are you interested in a knowledge of the artifacts (activities / tasks)?
Tough to answer unless you can narrow it down a bit.

  • Reusable BPM And BPEL sub processes

    Hi Heidi,
Is there support for this already? WIll appreciate a tutorial that covers these two topics. In addition if there is any integration between the two other than web services, would be great to have some information on that as well.
    regards,
    Naresh

    Hi,
The Reusable BPMN process (also referred to as Callable subprocess) and the Call Activity to call this reusable subprocess are not supported in this version but will be supported in a subsequent patch post the 11gR1 release. You need to use Service Tasks to invoke BPEL as well as BPMN processes exposed as a Service. You need to choose the "Async" or "Sync" template for the BPMN process to be exposed as a Service. We will get a sample out to you via the Beta site.
