Bpel Human Work Flow & WebLogic Portal 10.3

Hi all,
I have a async bpel process [soa suite 10131] which gets a record from database and has a Human work flow for approval cycle.
I would like to know if there is any standard portlet for accessing the worklist of human flow.
Thanks,
Irfan Khan

There is no out of the box portlet for worklist application.
In 10.1.3.x, you can create a custom worklist application.
In the $ORACLE_HOME/bpel/samples/hw There is a complete example of the worklist application.
You can use that in JDeveloper and expose it as a portlet.
Hope this helps,
regards,
Shanmu.

  • Screens for Human Work Flow created using BPEL PM in SOA Suite 10.1.3.1

    Hi,
    I have created a bpel process having a human work flow for approving or rejecting the request {say leave request submited by the user}.
    I would like to know :
    1)How to create screens for such human activities?
    2)Are there any tools in SOA suite which allow me to create User Screens for approving such human flows.
    3)Are there any otherways to create such screens for Human activities?
    Pointers are also appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Irfan Khan

    Generating a default task display form doesn't really cover probably the most common use case:
    1) human initiates a form that is presented to him/her
    2) form is populated with fields that come from a defined database schema
    3) human fills out form and submits to workflow
    4) data from the form is stored in database
    5) another human is presented with the form popualted with database data
    6) human approves or reject form
    I haven't been able to find any examples describing how to do this. Or anything in the manuals. I have another forum entry which also points to this problem:
    How do you add db fields to Task Display Form ?

  • How To Integrate BPEL Process Into Oracle Weblogic Portal 10.3

    Hi All,
    I have bpel process which which has db adapters and Human Work Flow. I need to integrate this bpel process [ created using Oracle SOA Suite 10131] with Oralce weblogic portal 10.3

    Hi All,
    I tried to call my BPEL Process thru JSP.
    This is how my JSP looks like:
    <%@ page language="java" contentType="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1"
    pageEncoding="ISO-8859-1"%>
    <%@ page import = "com.oracle.bpel.client.Locator" %>
    <%@ page import = "com.oracle.bpel.client.NormalizedMessage" %>
    <%@ page import = "com.oracle.bpel.client.dispatch.IDeliveryService" %>
    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1">
    <title>InvokeHelloBPELProcess</title>
    </head>
    <body>
    <%
    String name = request.getParameter("name");
    if(name == null) name = "HelloBPEL";
    String xml = "<name xmlns=\"http://xmlns.oracle.com\">"+name+"</name>";
    // Connect to the default BPEL domain using Locator
    // Please set the password (bpel is initial password)
    Locator locator = new Locator( "default", "welcome1" );
    IDeliveryService deliveryService =
    (IDeliveryService)locator.lookupService
    (IDeliveryService.SERVICE_NAME);
    //Construct the normalized messaged and send it to the oracle BPEL PM
    NormalizedMessage nm = new NormalizedMessage();
    System.out.println(" -=-=-=-=-=-=-= XML: "+ xml);
    //attach the payload to the NormalizedMessage
    nm.addPart("payload", xml);
    //Post the message to the HelloBPEL process
    deliveryService.post("HelloBPEL", "initiate", nm);
    out.println("The BPEL process HelloBPEL initiated!!!");
    %>
    </body>
    </html>
    Now once i invoke this JSP page I am getting the 500 internal server error.
    The error message is :
    java.lang.Exception: Failed to create "ejb/collaxa/system/DeliveryBean" bean; exception reported is: "javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: While trying to lookup 'ejb.collaxa.system/DeliveryBean' didn't find subcontext 'collaxa'. Resolved 'ejb'; remaining name 'collaxa/system/DeliveryBean'
    Here I have some doubts:
    1) If xml payload that I am passing is correct?
    2) In Locator, do I need to pass 'domain' along with 'password' as my password or it will always be "bpel". i.e.,
    a) Locator locator = new Locator( "default", <password> );
    OR
    b) Locator locator = new Locator( "default", "bpel" );
    Please let me know how to solve this error. I doubt that my xml payload constructed is wrong. could you tell me what is the correct xml payload for below BPEL process WSDL file:

  • Human work flow task id

    Hi,
    In my project i have to create a human work flow for approval.
    I have created it and auto generated the task form.
    Now i have to retrive certain values from the database and display it in the task detailspage depending on the task id
    can u tell me how to get the task id in the view object
    sample query
    Select ned.event_number,ned.project_overview,ned.PROGRAM_RATIONALE, ned.PROGRAM_OBJECTIVES, ned.PROGRAM_FORMAT, ned.PROGRAM_AGENDA, ned.PROGRAM_THIRD_PARTY_IND, ned.PROGRAM_TITLE, from ns_event_details ned, ns_event_status_details nesd where ned.event_number = nesd.event_number
    and nesd.task_id =5

    Hi viola,
    Thanks for replying,But actual Scenarion is like,
    1.I have a small scenario like integrate oracle ADF screen with Oracle BPM Human Task. we didn't use auto generate task form(we are using one adf application which is already developed in Oracle Adf technology).
    2.Those adf screen is populated in BPM work space using url of ADF screen placed in em console.It's fine,it will populated in work space.
    3.But my problem is we can click on the buttons approve or reject on populated adf screen then only human task will modify the running state to completed state.
    Any one have the idea on my requirement Please give the reply.

  • Debugging not working in weblogic portal

    When I am running my portal app built on weblogic portal 8.1, its throwing an error cannot start debugger. App might not be deployed properly.
    I have redeployed 2-3 times, and its running also fine, but debugger is not working.
    when the app domain starts few exceptions are thrown like,
    primary key voilated,
    jms connection pool could not connect
    Can this be the reason?

    well, from a debugging perspective, the application errors should not prevent a debugger from attaching to the VM. Can you be more specific about when you say the debugger is not starting?
    Thanks

  • Has anyone gotten OAM/WebLogic SSPI to work w/WebLogic Portal Server 9.2?

    Hi,
    I was wondering if anyone here has been able to get the WebLogic SSPI (10.1.4.0.1) working with WebLogic 9.2 (on Solaris 10)?
    I've gotten it installed, but when I switch from the default "myrealm" WebLogic realm to the "NetPointRealm", WebLogic will no longer start.
    After enabling security debugging in WebLogic, it appears that the user that I'm using with the startup is authenticating properly with OAM, but then that user is not getting the WebLogic "admin" role, which then causes the WebLogic boot to fail.
    I have the "admin" role in WebLogic mapped to the "Administrators" group OR the "BEA_Administrators" group, and in OAM, the user is a member of both groups, and in the WebLogic security debug, I can see that the groups are being returned, but the group names are somewhat strange (extra characters), and that may be why the role mapper may be failing (it returns "Anonymous" role).
    Jim

    Hello
    I am also facing problems with OAM 10.X to work with weblogic 9.2 on Solaris 10.
    Presently after instalation & initial configuation, when i enable Netpoint realm, server is not starting. But i can see weblogic boot user getting authenticated successfully in access server audit logs. After switching to debug mode - server startup throws error :
    <Throwing LoginException(NRE005 : Invalid member weblogic)>
    Can you please let me know how did you resolve your problem. It might give me a direction to debug.
    Thanks
    Sumit

    Thanks for the response...
    The issue is only occurring for the ZIP file extention . we are able to open the document in other files extentions from UWL inbox(portal).
    We have checked few more threads in SDN & got some link mentiioing the Tcode :- DC20 and DC30 (related to file extension) . As explained in the Tcode DC20 and DC30 . the file extention entries has to be maintained.
    We have made the entry of ZIP file in the DC20 & DC30 but still we are getting the same error. I think we are missing some entries to fill.
    It would be great if you can suggest regarding this issue...
    Is this is the cause of the issue ?
    Appreciate your help.....

  • Cancel Task in BPEL human workflow

    All,
    We have a requirement to cancel the task for the user using human work flow. The worklist should be deleted for the user. Let me know if oracle human workflow provides an opertaion option to cancel the task like reassign,initaiate etc.
    Regards,
    M.Rajesh

    Ronald,
    By cancel means i need the worklist entry for the given taskid to be deleted or marked as cancel so that the user will not be able to process the task. The BPEL process should have a human task process defined like updatetask which will cancel the task.
    Let me expalin our scenario.
    We have an assignment which has different status like new,reassign,cancel. Using a switch we check for the required status and if the status is new we call the initaiate task. Similarly if the status is cancel we need to cancel or delete the task for the user.
    Regards,
    M.Rajesh

  • Weblogic portal 10.3 examples

    Hi Experts/friends, I am a novice in weblogic portal.
    I have couple of questions.
    I am trying to work on weblogic portal 10.3 pageflow protlets.
    (1) Question
    Do I need to create pageflow (may be a JSP page having some login application , or a struts application doing some hello world display) and deploy in weblogic server (not weblogic portal server) , and if I have a portal application which is at weblogic portal server and use on this.
    I mean to ask , can't I create a pageflow (any kind of pageflow) in workshop and deploy in weblogic portal server.
    Do I need to create a pageflow application or project and need to bring that into weblogic portal server?
    (2) Question
    Why I am not able to find proper examples or tutorial kind of work for weblogic portal 10.3?
    (3) Question
    Do we have any tutorial on ISR 168 in oracle-weblogic site (or documentation) ,please provide any examples or links?
    Thanks a lot

    Hi Viswanadh,
    Since you claim to be new, I will point you to some helpful docs that will walk you through creating simple portlets and running them. Hopefully this will help you create some quick demos.

    Also, for Jsr168, and federated portlets, this is a good starting point.

  • How to know which stage has been completed in Human task flow.

    Hi All,
    I have one human task flow where there is three participants. Participant A, B and C and all are in sequence.
    When User B approves the task, i need to do some business logic. when user B approves the task, it will be assigned to User C. I have defined call back events. There i can use task assigned condition to do my business logic.
    My question is that how i can get to know that Task assigned to user C. Because it is a call back event and will be triggered when it will be assigned to A or B. I have tried to user the function previousOutcomeUpdatedBy to check whether it previous user was B or not. but in my case it is coming as workflowsystem.
    instead of User B it is using workflowsystem
    User:workflowsystem; State:OUTCOME_UPDATED; Outcome:CONFIRM
    I am not aware, why workflow system is coming in picture.
    do any one idea, how to solve this use case.

  • Need maximum information about Content Management in Weblogic Portal 10.3

    Hi,
    I have worked with Weblogic Portal before, but it's been some time, I do not remember much and I quickly need to find some info.
    We are making a proposal to a customer and have suggested Weblogic Portal.
    I would like to give as much information about the technicalities of the CMS in Weblogic Portal as possible.
    Could you please answer these questions ?
    I am looking for information on the CMS that is integrated in Weblogic Portal 10.3
    I have already checked the available information on the site :
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13155_01/wlp/docs103/cm/introCM.html#wp1067976
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13155_01/wlp/docs103/portlets/development.html
    I would like to find more information, especially regarding these questions :
    What are the portlets that are available by default in Weblogic Portal 10.3 ? I read about the Content Presenter portlets, which display real-time data.
    Are there other portlets like these ?
    How can i manage the documentation in the CMS ? I have several source of data (databases, Lotus repositories ...) : can i load them into the WLP Virtual Content Repository ?
    What about images ? Do i need to work on a special format to handle them in my portlets ?
    Is it possible to load data coming from XML files into the repository so i can display them on the portal ?
    Thanks a lot for helping.

    BulkLoader is described in the docs here:
    http://e-docs.bea.com/wlp/docs102/cm/bulkloader.html
    As far as portlets go, WLP provides lots of facilities for creating your own portlets, to do exactly what you want them to do. It really depends upon what you want to do.
    If you're looking to display images, also take a look at the personalization features like Content Selectors and Placeholders, which can retrieve an image from the CM system.
    If you're looking to iterate over a set of content, take a look at display templates as a means to control the presentation.
    You may be able to use re-portlets from the WLP Admin tools, though I'm not familiar with the details.
