The Pure SQL option is for border use cases only and provides simple yet minimal functionality. Possibly try the "Perform an operation on a table" option instead. This exception is considered retriable, likely due to a communication failure. To classify it as non-retriable instead add property nonRetriableErrorCodes with value "0" to your deployment descriptor (i.e. weblogic-ra.xml). To auto retry a retriable fault set these composite.xml properties for this invoke: jca.retry.interval, jca.retry.count, and jca.retry.backoff. All properties are integers.
The invoked JCA adapter raised a resource exception.
Please examine the above error message carefully to determine a resolution.

Hi,
select hrm_id from security_users_master where hrm_id=#hrmidThe adapter tells that a NullPointerException occurs while executing the above sql statement.
First I would check that you have correctly supplied the "#hrmid" parameter in the input of the invoke activity (using EM for example).
Also, does your "pure SQL" contains other statement ? If it's not the case you might want to change your DbAdapter from pure SQL to "Perform an operation on Table > Select".

  • BPEL issue in getting a response

    Hi All,
    I am using a BPEL composite which is storing a file and after uploading the file sends  back a message and status of the file upload. The file is uploading and it is also sending response which has both msg and status. But in my BPEL composite I am unable to get the msg ID. But I can get the status. I need the msg id to proceed further. I have already checked the xsd and everything seems fine. Could u guys plz suggest me something so that I can proceed.

    Hi
    Use your composite instance id as your message id. . .
    Use getcompositeinstanceid proprty to get your composite instance id. .
    If this doesnt suits your requirement please let me know the exact scenario what actually your messageID contains

  • ORABPEL-02100 - Deployed Process "Lost" under load.

    We've experience yet another load related BPEL issue. We have three servers running OAS+BPEL with the same set of BPEL processes deployed on each. Requests are round-robin'ed across all three. We had an unexpected load placed on the servers by a non-BPEL process. BPEL did the usual (timesouts => MRQ) and once the issue resolved we recovered stuff from the MRQ and thought everything OK. We then noticed 1 in 3 orchestration failing. One of the App Servers had 'lost' a BPEL process:
    "Error while invoking bean "process manager": Cannot find process content file.
    Cannot find the content file "1.0" for process "BCJ-WR05-Process" (revision "").
    Please check that the path "1.0" is correct and refers to a file that has been included as a part of the deployment archive.
    ORABPEL-02100 etc"
    Anyone experienced this problem?
    Regards
    Rob

    interestingly it appears the deployed jat files is corrupt - it's missing the final 242 bytes ?! It's fine on the install media (CD) so it looks like BPEL has truncated it either during deployment or at some later point. Sigh.

  • Utp_http call

    Hi
    I am calling a plsql api from bpel which inturn calls a web service using utl_http.
    The issue is that this works some times and does not works some times. When it does not work
    i get a utl_http ora 29261 error saying bad argument.
    I am able to see that the soap message that i create is fine. Further this occurs intermittently failing more often than success.
    I tested the api directly in plsql and it seems to work fine , i even call it in a loop 1 to 100 times and it works fine
    But when i try it from bpel it sometimes passes and some times fails. I am not sure whether this is a bpel issue or plsql issue .
    Please give some pointers
    Thanks

  • Issue in propagating the fault in BPEL

    Hi,
    I have an issue in propagating the fault in BPEL.
    This is the scenario,
    a) I have a BPEL process which inserts data to a table, where a column is a primary key.
    b) I invoke this BPEL as a partner link in another BPEL process.
    c) I have provided catch for primary key violation in the invoking BPEL process.
    Here, it throws below remote fault:
    When invoking locally the endpoint 'http://localhost:7777/orabpel/default/InsertExceptionGen/1.0', ; nested exception is:
         com.oracle.bpel.client.delivery.ReceiveTimeOutException: Waiting for response has timed out. The conversation id is bpel://localhost/default/HandlingESBFaultInsert1~1.0/20502-BpInv0-BpSeq1.6-2. Please check the process instance for detail.
    But In the case of ESB, I could able to handle the primary key violation fault.
    ie)
    a) An esb process inserts data into a table, where a column is a primary key.
    b) A BPEL process invoke this esb as a partner link.
    c) In the invoking BPEL process, provided catch for primary key violation.
    Pls. someone throw some light on this.
    Thanks
    Jude.

    BPEL process should get a bindingFault for any application related errors.
    since it received remote fault, may be some problem with connectivity.check the timeout values in the bpel configuration.

  • Issues in invoking a web service from a JAVA/BPEL client...

    We are trying to invoke a web service from a JAVA/BPEL client using org.apache.soap classes. Could you please help us out or provide any pointers. Any help would be highly appreciated

    Because you weren't told what to get, perhaps you already have it eh?
    What you want to read up about is JAX-WS, which is the webservice API bundled by default with your JDK (Java 6 and up). You'll find the wsimport tool in the bin directory of your JDK. I recommend you explore that directory and read up about all the executables you can find there, to be more prepared in the future. Know the tools you work with and all that. Most tools have a manual on this website:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/tech/index.html
    (under tools and utilities). Not wsimport, that is part of the jax-ws documentation. Better you look for jax-ws tutorials using Google, it will be quicker.

  • Issue in invoking a BPEL process (having a DB Adapter) from ESB

    Dear All,
    I am having an issue while invoking a ESB process (Batch file mode) which inturn will call a second BPEL process which will invoke the Oracle APPS standard API ego_item_pub.process_items to create an item in Inventocry, through a DB adapter
    I am able to create the Item and API is working when I pass the input XML through the second BPEL process.
    But when invoking through the ESB process which will invoke the BPEL process, based on the polling to the batch file from the ESB. This is done through an FTP adapter in ESB.
    The Issue is that while invoking from ESB, through batch file. The PL/SQL API is throwing error from the standard API 'ego_item_pub.process_items'
    But it works fine if I invoke the BPEL process individually.
    What might be the problem for this and how can I fix this..
    Please update..
    Many thanks in advance ...

    Hi,
    We tried the same thing and it worked for us. In our scenario we had a BPEL process calling a ESB and then this ESB calling another BPEL process which inturn calls the API. I agree with James it seems more of a Data issue/or your XSD is not proper i.e the XSD that you ESB process is having. If you have created a ESB and then changed the BPEL process afterward the issue you mentioned will come. Please run the process in DEBIG mode and provide the domain.log file.

  • Issue with webservice data control while invokin bpel process from ADF side

    Hello Experts,
    we are creating webservice data control to invoke bpel process from ADF side.
    When I run the application and inovoke the bpel every thing is working fine.
    But when we are changeing the instances from DEV to SIT the bpel url(hostname and port) will change.
    So we just edited DataControls.dcx file and we just replaced the wsdl url and trying to run the applicaiton.
    This time the applicaiton is not invoking the bpel process.
    If I remove the webservice data control and recreate it with new WSDL url then it is working fine.
    Can any one tell us what the exact issue is. Is there any other files do i need to modify or etc.
    Thanks & Regards

    Kindly help me in this regard

    Solution:
    Workaround the issue immediately by removing the "ns1:" qualification on the operation for the binding.jca entry in the composite.xml and redeploying.
    For example:
    From:
    <binding.jca config="BAPI_COMPANYCODE_GETDETAIL_invoke_3P.jca"
    operation="ns1:BAPI_COMPANYCODE_GETDETAIL"/>
    To:
    <binding.jca config="BAPI_COMPANYCODE_GETDETAIL_invoke_3P.jca"
    operation="BAPI_COMPANYCODE_GETDETAIL"/>

  • Issue with Deploying and calling a BPEL process on ALBPM enterprise server

    Hi,
    I am trying to put in place a POC using Aqualogic BEA products (using ALBPM 5.7, Enterprise Server 5.7, ALSB 2.6, Weblogic App server 9.2). My goal is to put in place a simple BPEL process (using ALBPM) which would call a webservice exposed through ALSB. This BPEL process is initiated by a wrapper BPMN process calling the BPEL process through fuego code.
    Though we are able to do the above on a standalone ALBPM studio, When we try to deploy the exported BPM project on the enterprise server and access it through the hiper workspace portal we are getting the following error in the BPM Process Administrator Log of the Engine.
    A component failed while executing activity '/Process#Default-1.0/Global' (BP-method Global). Details: The task could not be successfully executed. Two things here that might help to understand the problem better :
    1) As I understand the error is due to some issue while calling the BPEL process from the Fuego code.
    The Fuego code which call's the BPEL from the BPMN process is as follows :
    helloResponse as String = "someoutput"
    helloRequest as String = "someinput"
    sessionid as String
    // Starting a Session.
    // In case you are testing this in the Studio,
    // the password must be the same as the user
    startSession BPELWSDL.ProcessServiceListenerWSDL.ProcessService
    using user = "test",
    password = "test"
    returning sessionid = result
    // createTest is the name of the operation
    // in the exposed process.
    // In this case the process "ExposedProcess"
    // has a web service operation
    // called "createTest" that is a "Process Creation" type
    // and uses the Begin activity's argument set
    callHello BPELWSDL.ProcessServiceListenerWSDL.ProcessService
    using sessionId = sessionid,
    arg1 = helloRequest
    returning helloResponse = result
    // Closing the session
    discardSession BPELWSDL.ProcessServiceListenerWSDL.ProcessService
    using sessionId = sessionid
    display "The BPEL's response : " + helloResponse
    2) Further, I had catalogued the BPEL's wsdl to the location http://localhost:9000/fuegoServices/ws/ProcessServiceListener?WSDL while running the same in Studio, but while deploying on the enterprise server , I made this point to http://localhost:7001/fuegoServices/ws/ProcessServiceListener?WSDL Is this correct ?
    Any thought on this issue would be appreciated.
    Regards
    Deepak

    Hi Deepak,
    We are also facing a similar problem, while accessing an external webservice from a BPM process.
    Were you able to resolve this issue.
    If so, Could you please let us know the procedure that you followed to resolve the issue.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Krishnaveni.

  • Issue: BPEL invoking Axis web service

    Hi
    We are calling a Axis web service from BPEL.. The web service has been defined to be a request only 1 way service. The axis service takes around 3-5 minutes to complete the job( data insertion in DB).. But seems like when BPEL invokes the web service; BPEL thread is waiting (thread is not released) and the BPEL process does not move forward until the web service completes the job....
    Any pointers on how the deal with the issue will be helpful!!
    Thanks

    Hi Lovenish,
    Goto console-> select domain> Configuration->JTA
    Check timeout seconds.
    2. i don't know what kind of partner link you are invoking.
    check composite.xml, is there any property like retry.interval .
    3. ◦SyncMaxWaitTime: The maximum time a request and response operation takes before timing out.
    The maximum time a request/response operation will take before it times out. The default value is 45 seconds.

  • Issue with Datasource in BPEL 11g

    Hi,
    I am getting the following error intermittently with the datasource when used in the BPEL process. I already had a look at the forum post A stale Connection Factory or Connection Handle may be used in SOA 11g
    The particular settings suggested in the above forum post is already done and still the issue persists. Is there any possibility that database is not allowing these many connections from their end? We have set the maxConnection pool size to 1000 and also tried with modifying the size to 2000.
    any pointers for debugging this issue would be appreciated.

    Hi,
    Do you see its an issue with availbility of connections in the connection pool? the connection pool maximum size is 2000 now and i think its very huge number.
    In our BPEL component we have 8 to 9 db adapter calls and number of concurrent requests are very low. So i don't see a reason that bpel component will consumer all these available datasources.
    Thanks.

  • TopLink issue on Bpel 10.1.3.3

    We are having an issue with the bpel flow on Bpel 10.1.3.3 where when it is inserting into the database, not all of the fields are saving to the database.Several of the fields are being stored as null in the database although there are values
    that should be saved. I deployed the flow on both Bpel 10.1.2 and Bpel 10.1.3.3 which have same database connection. Bpel 10.1.2 has no problem. My flow is created by Bpel 10.1.2 designer. I also use JDveloper 10.1.3.3 to migrate the flow and then deploy it on Bpel 10.1.3.3. However, I am still facing an issue on Bpel 10.1.3.3.
    The data being inserted to database which I saw it from Bpel console.

    To complement information:
    1/ Zoom in doesn't have this issue:
    both Ctrl + Numpad + and Ctrl + = are working
    On AZERTY keyboard = and + are on same key.
    2/ When using Ctrl + Numpad - , I observe same behaviour as Ctrl + 6 (opens a box to comment)...
    Can you at least fix Ctrl + Numpad - for zoom out?
    (this won't be unversal but will at leas save 90% of the issues)
