BPEL Issue!

Hi Guys,
I am facing the below issue in soa 11g while invoking the db ,i am getting the below mentioned null pointer exception. can anyone suggest me quickly what it causes the below issue.

The Pure SQL option is for border use cases only and provides simple yet minimal functionality. Possibly try the "Perform an operation on a table" option instead. Hi,
select hrm_id from security_users_master where hrm_id=#hrmidThe adapter tells that a NullPointerException occurs while executing the above sql statement.
First I would check that you have correctly supplied the "#hrmid" parameter in the input of the invoke activity (using EM for example).
Also, does your "pure SQL" contains other statement ? If it's not the case you might want to change your DbAdapter from pure SQL to "Perform an operation on Table > Select".
