BPEL  remote fault ???   invalid  SOAP envelope:  body is empty

Heres the clever bit, The invoke actually works calls the web interface which does what its meant to do. The web interface then passes back a correctly formed empty message (accepted by XMLSpy and soapUI ) in BPEL I get a remote fault
<remoteFault xmlns="http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension"><part name="summary"><summary>exception on JaxRpc invoke: invalid SOAP envelope: body is empty</summary>
</part></remoteFault>

Hi,
Did any of you solve this issue? I'm having the same problem.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance,
Zaloa

  • Sending a SOAP Envelope with empty header

    Hey all,
    I'm contacting a BPEL Web Service from my ADF JSF application. I can send a request which starts a BPEL process, but the problem is the process wil lalways generate a fault because I can't let the Header empty. I'm always forced to enter a "ReplyTo" etc.
    Is there a way to send a SOAP envelope with an empty header? Cause in that case, the whole BPEL flow works like a charm.
    Thanks in advance,
    Stijn.

    I managed to work around it myself.
    I simply created a Java Proxy for the webservice and use that Proxy in the Application Module (create an instance of it and call the desired method). Obviously, now you can pass null value parameters to the method, while you can't do that when you use the Web Service in a Data Control.

  • SOAP receiver adapter - payload inside the soap envelop

    Hi,
    We have to send a SOAP message to 3rd party from PI 7.1. Using SOAP receiver adapter - we are trying to achieve this. 3rd party software is unable to accept payload as an attachment of the main envelop - they want it enside the main envelop.
    I tried with "Keep attachment" option - but PI still keping the payload as an attachment. I think this option is for handling "extra" attachment.
    Is there any way we can keep the payload inside the envelop?
    In run-time WB, at the moment envelop looks like
    <SOAP:Envelope xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas....
    <SOAP:Body>
    <sap:Payload xlink:type="simple" xlink:href="cid:payload-d6518670ca1311debbd9ca347000800b...">
    </SOAP:Body>
    </SOAP:Envelope>
    And the payload d6518670ca1311debbd9ca347000800b... ( again viewed from RWB) - contains the data.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <ns2:Order> ....
    </ns2:Order>
    Can we insert this payload directly inside the SOAP:Envelope body instead of a link there?
    Regards,
    Sudhin

    Hi!
    It seems to me that this 3rd party is expecting only XML not SOAP.
    If this is the case, you should use the HTTP Receiver adapter instead of SOAP.
    Some systems 'say' they can speak SOAP but they can only speak XML. Not to blame, it's a mistake many make these days.
    The only way you use SOAP Receiver adapter with this 3rd party, is that if someone from the 3rd party hands you a WSDL file.

  • OSB Service Call Out without soap envelope

    Can we do a service call out without any soap envelope wrapped.
    Example if my message is <Test>test</Test>
    it should not wrap it like
    <soapEnv:Body xmlns:soapEnv="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><Test>test</Test></soapEnv:Body>in request part of service call out.
    My calling service is WSDL based proxy and called service is ANY XML Proxy Service

    indeed, I have done my tests and it proved the same: whatever you post to a AnyXML service, OSB will first wrap it into a SOAP Envelope / Body and then pass it to the Message Flow.
    After all it makes sense, the Interface of a Proxy Service has nothing to do with its Implementation....
    a SOAP proxy service is implemented exactly like a AnyXML proxy service as far as the $body is concerned (maybe I have said an enormous BS!)
    Only $operation would not be populated - I would expect. Correct me if I am wrong.

    Ajeet,
    I believe that may be caused by the fact that the payload is empty (<inbuf></inbuf>). The gateway is very strict on that...

  • Business Service SOAP Fault : OSB still using body to populate fault?

    I have a SOAP service specifically returning a SOAP fault. OSB doesn't recognize it as an fault and continues processing as if everything is OK. As per the documentation, in case of SOAP faults, OSB should generate a $fault variable based on the details present inside the SOAP fault, which in turn should give the control to the normal error handling stage and by pass the pipe line flow.
    Does anyone know how to get OSB to recognize a SOAP fault for what it is? Here's the response returned to OSB:
    <SOAP-ENV:Fault xmlns:SOAP-ENC="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/encoding/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">

  • How to capture SOAP fault when using "Do not use SOAP envelope" parameter

    Hi,
    we have a synchronous  RFC -> XI -> Web Service scenario. The Web Service requires some custom SOAP header elements for user authorization which forced us create the entire SOAP message in a message mapping and to set the "Do not use SOAP envelope" parameter in the receiving SOAP adapter.
    In order to capture the SOAP fault message from the Web Service we have created a message interface with a fault message and also created an interface mapping with a fault message mapping.
    Our problem is that the fault message is not populated when we get a SOAP fault message back from the Web Service. Is this due to the fact that we have set the  "Do not use SOAP envelope" parameter?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi Bhavesh,
    I have exaactly same scenario. But the only difference is that the Successful payload is also not coming into PI.
    The request is successfully hittng the webservice.
    Please guide me on how to capture the paylod.
    I am using the WSDL provided by the thirdparty but sill the message is not coming into PI.

  • OSB: how to remove soap envelope from the $body

    Hi,
    In Assign activity when i assign: xquF1:url-decode(fn-bea:serialize($body),"UTF-8") = variable1,i am getting:
    $variable1 =
    <soap-env:Body      xmlns:soap-env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
         <MESSAGE>
    <aa>12</aa>
    <bb>34</bb>
    </MESSAGE>
    </soap-env:Body>
    How should i remove 'soap-env:Body' from the above xml. I need only:
    $variable1 =
         <MESSAGE>
    <aa>12</aa>
    <bb>34</bb>
    </MESSAGE>
    Kindly advise how to acheive the same.
    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome to the forums.
    As a tip for future posts [url https://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=2174552#9360002]2. How do I ask a question on the forums?
    That said, a basic example that pulls the contents of the body out is
    declare
      l_ws_rsp    XMLTYPE;
      l_body_rsp  XMLTYPE;
    begin
      -- Retrieving the SOAP message
      l_ws_rsp := DHL_SOAP_RESPONSE_XMLTYPE;
      -- Extracting out the body
      SELECT xt.body_xml
        INTO l_body_rsp
        FROM XMLTable(XMLNamespaces('http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/' AS "SOAP-ENV"),
                      '/SOAP-ENV:Envelope/SOAP-ENV:Body/*'
                      PASSING l_ws_rsp
                      COLUMNS
                      body_xml   XMLTYPE PATH '.') xt;
       dbms_output.put_line(l_body_rsp.getClobVal());
    end;If you Google
    XMLTable soap site:forums.oracle.com
    you can find plenty of examples on these forums regarding how to parse a web service response.
    The bigger question is, what are you going to do with the data in the response. As the example above alludes too, you can actually parse the entire WS response with one SQL statement and return the results as one or more rows. Will you be performing PL/SQL logic on the returned results or will you simply be INSERTing them into the database for something else to use?

  • Invalid SOAP format, Web Service

    Hi All,
    I am trying to send a SOAP request to get the list of Activity ID using the following code:
    SOAPPart soapPart = message.getSOAPPart();
    SOAPEnvelope envelope = soapPart.getEnvelope();
    envelope.addAttribute(envelope.createName"xmlns:xsi"), "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance");
    envelope.addAttribute(envelope.createName("xmlns:xsd"), "http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema");
    SOAPBody body = envelope.getBody();
    SOAPElement bodyElement = body.addChildElement("ActivityNWS_Activity_QueryPage_Input","ns1","urn:crmondemand/ws/activity/10/2004");
    SOAPElement childElement = bodyElement.addChildElement("ListOfActivity","ns1","urn:/crmondemand/xml/activity");
    SOAPElement childElement2 = childElement.addChildElement("Activity");
    childElement2.addChildElement("ActivityId");
    childElement2.addChildElement("CreatedDate");
    message.saveChanges();
    String destination = "https://secure-ausomxbwa.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration;jsessionid"+SODSession;

  • Authentication Fault: Invalid User Session Token

    Hi,
    I am trying to protect a call to third party webservices using OWSM and OAM. I followed the steps mentioned in Oracle Web Services Manager
    Deployment Guide to integrate OAM in OWSM, but not able to make any break through. I am getting following error if I test my web service using OWSM's inbuilt test tool:

    <SOAP-ENV:Body>

    <faultstring>Authentication Fault: Invalid User Session Token</faultstring>
    null</SOAP-ENV:Fault>
    </SOAP-ENV:Body>
    </SOAP-ENV:Envelope>
    In gateway.log file, I get following oneliner message:
    security.SimpleXMLCredsExtractor - SimpleXMLCredsExtractor failed to Extract creds.
    I am using standalone OWSM installation.
    Installed OAM SDK on the same machine of OWSM.
    Added OAM SDK libraries into OWSM's path.
    Please advise as I have already wasted 3-4 weeks into it.

  • Remote Fault Auto Retry and Notification

    Hi,
    I am using Oracle SOA Suite 11g PS2.
    In one of the process I am trying to use Fault handling mechanism of SOA.
    I have written code to use Auto Retry mechanism using fault-policies.xml,I want to send notification before SOA start Auto Retry on Remote Fault.
    It does not execute catch block but it directly start Auto Retry.
    Code of my fault-policies.xml is as follows
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <faultPolicies xmlns="http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/faultpolicy">
    <faultPolicy version="2.0.1" id="Test"

    xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    xmlns="http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/faultpolicy"
    xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
    <Conditions>
    <faultName xmlns:bpelx="http://schemas.oracle.com/bpel/extension"
    name="bpelx:remoteFault">
    <condition>
    <action ref="ora-rethrow-fault"/>
    </condition>
    <condition>
    <action ref="ora-retry"/>
    </condition>
    </faultName>
    </Conditions>
    <Actions>
    <!-- Retry -->
    <Action id="ora-retry">
    <retry>
    <retryCount>1</retryCount>
    <retryInterval>120</retryInterval>
    <retryFailureAction ref="ora-human-intervention"/>
    </retry>
    </Action>
    <Action id="ora-human-intervention">
    <humanIntervention/>
    </Action>
    <Action id="ora-rethrow-fault">
    <rethrowFault/>
    </Action>
    </Actions>
    </faultPolicy>
    </faultPolicies>
    I want to send notification before SOA start Auto Retry.
    anyone aware why it does not rethrow fault and then starts Auto Retry.
    Thanks,
    Arun Jadhav.
