BPM 11g ADF BC Web Service

I've created, tested and successfully deployed an ADF BC Web Service to the SOA server using JDeveloper 11.1.1.7.  Using the BPM 11g Process Composer tool, how do I access the deployed ADF BC Web Service?  I would like to use the named view criteria of the ADF BC Web Service to populate a Process Composer web form.  The add new service function of the BPM Business Catalog is not accepting the JDeveloper generated WSDL file.

That's the end goal, but I haven't gotten that far.  I'm using the 11.1.1.7 versions of ADF JDeveloper and the BPM suite.  I'm attempting to consume an ADF BC web service from my BPM process using the Composer tool, but I first need to figure out how to publish/register the ADF BC web service with the BPM so that I can reference the ADF BC web service in the implementation of the BPM Service Task as a Service Call.  I thought I could register the ADF BC web service with the BPM using the BPM business catalog but when I attempt to add a new service and give it the WSDL generated from JDeveloper I get this error:
BPM-71536: BCModelsService.wsdl has a dependency to BCModelsService.xsd that cannot be resolved.

  • ADF BC Web Service - authenticate with JSESSIONID

    Hi!
    I create ADF Fusion Application Web project. I add a jspx page to ViewController project called "welcome.jspx" and secure Application with HTTP Basic authentication. Now in ViewController page I add POJO class and create webservice from it. Now I run the project and I can access welcome.jspx page only if I provide correct username and password. Now in ViewController project i choose Test WebService on WSDL. If i send test request, I get 403 unathorized. If I add JSESSIONID cookie in the request header, I can access webservice.
    Now in Model project I create simple entity, view on top of it and add to the ApplicationModule. Now in ApplicationModule I create web service from it (Service interface) with method getByKey. I deploy whole application. If I select Test Webservice on the ApplicationModule's generated WSDL I can access webservice without providing securityCredentials. I can access it without providing JSESSIONID cookie (note the difference to the ViewController project). I know that ViewController project and Model have different ContextRoot and I speculate that why it goes (I know that two projects (Model, ViewController) cannot have the same Security Context). In created ApplicationModule I override prepareSession method and monitor who is logged in when executing ADF BC WebService. If I do not provide JSESSIONID cookie the logged "user" in is anonymous, If do provide it, I am logged in as user for which that JSESSIONID is created.
    I know I can secure webservice by attaching security policy, such as oracle/wss_usernamename.* (Soap:Header requires username/password) or oracle/http_token policy and if I do so, I must provide security credentials everytime - I do not like that. I would like to achieve that if I provide JSESSIONID cookie I am authenticated, if do not provide it, I receive 403 unauthorized - the same behaviour as is in the ViewController Dummy webservice.
    So is it possible to add second context root or something like that to the ApplicationSecurity (jazn*.xml files or something like that) to enforce the same security for Model part?
    Perhaps I should explain what I am doing:
    - we have ADF model with service enabled ApplicationModules (web services based on application modules) and now we are building clients to consume them. We have created simple LoginPage (in ViewCOntroller project) where we obtain JSESSIONID cookie. Now we want to contanct websercie with JSESSIONID cookie and weblogic must recognize us, but in case JSESSIONID cookie is not present, invalid - a 401 unauthorized should ne returned.
    Can you provide some hints how to work on?

  • BPM Process As a Web-Service Username and Password

    Hi all,
    We have exposed a Process as a Web-Service WSDL to another system . We use Username Token Profile to enter the username and password to connect to the Web-Service..
    Now what we do is we have a role in our project and we create a dummy Web-Service user and add the role to that user and then use its password and username to call the Web-Service.
    Can we change this?
    Can we have a dummy username and password not associated with any role in BPM used in our Web-Service?

    Did you use PAPI code inside your web service or did u just use PAPI Web Services ( like did u just pressed the button Launch PAPI Web Services ) and it created the WSDL for you and u used it to create the client?
    I am using the latest version of OBPM..
    Oracle 10.3.10
    Can you let me know what do u mean by PAPI interface.. Is it the PAPI code of is the PAPI Web Service which is built by BPM automatically and could be used?

    Hello,
    I have found some Debug entries into my log file when this BPM process executes and go in Suspend mode. I do not understand the error. But this Begun entries have Green symbol which I understand there should not be any problem. But then why my process goes to Suspend mode??? If you like then I can also provide this Debug entry message from log file in order to get the idea about this problem.
    I use Logical destination on automatic BPM step. Which has WSDL link. This wsdl link I have test into WS Navigator which works fine. But I am wondering why it is not working in my BPM process?????
    does any one has idea what to do?

  • Does BI Publisher 11g Support Restful Web Services as Data Set

    Hi,
    Could you tell me if BI Publisher 11g supports the REST API or is SOAP based API required for web services defined as data sets.
    Thanks in advance,
    Jean

    There are External API's which only do JSON outputs. Can this be integrated into a Report? If not, Is there a Enhacement to Add RESTful returning JSON or XML for a Dataset?

  • WebServiceException When invoking secured ADF-BC web services on WebSphere

    We built web services using ADF 11.1.1.7 RC1, and deployed to WebSphere ND 7.0.0.23
    The web services are secured using OWSM policy:
    @SecurityPolicy( { "oracle/wss11_saml_or_username_token_with_message_protection_service_policy" })
    And we have a client java program which invokes the web services as follows:
    MTOMFeature mtom = new MTOMFeature();
    SecurityPolicyFeature sec_policy = new SecurityPolicyFeature("oracle/wss11_saml_token_with_message_protection_client_policy");
    if (lCMAMService == null) {

    URL url = new URL(fcmUrl);
    LCMAMService_Service lCMAMService_Service = null;
    try {
    lCMAMService_Service = new LCMAMService_Service(url);
    } catch (WebServiceException wse) {
    generateFCMWebserviceUrl(true);
    URL physicalURL = new URL(fcmUrl);
    lCMAMService_Service = new LCMAMService_Service(physicalURL);
    lCMAMService = lCMAMService_Service.getLCMAMServiceSoapHttpPort(mtom, sec_policy);
    Everything works fine in WebLogic. However, when running on WebSphere ND 7.0.0.23, the following exception were thrown:

    Thanks.

    Hi,
    as you are from Oracle, can you reach out to internal forums and mailing lists? JDeveloper 11.1.1.7 RC1 is not available outside of Oracle and therefore should not have questions posted on this public forum.

  • BPM Scenario ( JDBC and Web Services )

    Hi all,
    I working in scenario in XI BPM and I need to do this:
    1) I have one table in SQL Server.
    2) I need to fill this table with a Web Services, because the costumer needs exactly SOAP.
    3) To fill  this table, I have some roles, like Area Code, State, then I need to do in JDBC Adapter and BPM.
    4)Finaly, I need to create a Web Services Provider( WSDL)  that insert data in this table.
    I have one question: Is it possible to create this scenario in BPM? I need to create one Web Service Provider using a XI to table in SQL Server.
    Have you seen one scenario like this?
    Is its possible?
    Thanks.
    Regards.

    Hi Fabio,
    Yes you could but I am still trying to understand why you would need Business Process Management (BPM)?  The way I understand it (correct me where I may be wrong) is that someone calls a web service which in turns calls your WSDL in SAP XI/PI.  SAP XI/PI does its mapping and calls the JDBC adapter to put your data into your SQL table.  BPM comes in only when you have some sequence to consider, complex logic to work with, etc. that you might not otherwise need.
    Does that help?

  • Start BPM from WDJ with Web Service  (in 7.2)

    Hi,
    I created a BPM process, and a new WDJ application to start the BPM process.
    In the WDJ application, I created a new model (adaptive web service model) and I added this to the 'Used Models' of the application.
    But, now, I want to start my BPM process after I click the "Submit" button. How can I do this?
    In my RequestModel, I have my Model class with:
    - ServiceData
    - Request_StartOperation
    - Response_StartOperation
    (and my data element fields)
    - Request_wbs
    - Request_wbs_ca
    - Request_wbs_tr
    Now my question, How can i trigger the web service in the WDJ so the process can start?
    wdDoInit:
    RequestModel model = new RequestModel();
    My event:
    fireStartRequestCompleteEvent
    Many thx!

    Hi Hans,
    You need to create an instance of Request_StartOperation and assign the values to the nodes/attributes under this. Once all the assignments are done, you need to bind it and execute the model as below example shows:
    Lets take the model structure as below:
    Model1 -> Request_StartOp -> StartOp -> Node1
    Node1 -> Attr1, Attr2 (Node1 contains 2 attr and the type in WS schma is Node1Type and cardinality 1.1)
    Model1 objModel = new Model1();
    Request_STartOp objReq = new Request_StartOp(objModel);
    StartOp objStart = new StartOp(objModel);
    Node1Type objNode1 = new Node1Type(objModel);
    objNode1.setAttr1(val1);
    objNode1.setAttr2(val2);
    objStartOp.setNode1(objNode1);
    objReq.setStartOp(objStartOp);
    wdContext.nodeRequest_StartOp().bind(objReq);
    wdContext.nodeRequest_StartOp().currentRequest_StartOpElement().modelObject().execute();
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers,
    Arafat

  • JDeveloper - ADF Mobile - Web Services Data Control

    Hello,
    I'm new to ADF mobile (newer than ADF mobile itself :) I watched Shay's excellent you tube videos which makes it look really easy to create a mobile projects. I was successfully able to create a simple project and deploy it on my iphone and ipad. The next step is to get data from a web service. I am trying to create web service data control from this wsdl: http://msrmaps.com/TerraService2.asmx?wsdl.
    However I keep getting an unusual error with a dialog of heading: "Invalid WSDL URL" and the dialog says: "oracle/adfinternal/model/adapter/webservice/utils/WSUtils$DefaultAuthPrompter" with an OK button. I tried quite a few things and other applications like Flex Builder and Soap UI and was able to successfully use this wsdl: http://msrmaps.com/TerraService2.asmx?wsdl.
    A few things about my environment:
    I am working on mac OS X 10.8.2
    I have JDeveloper Studio Edition Version 11.1.2.3.0 (Build JDEVADF_11.1.2.3.0_GENERIC_120914.0223.6276.1)
    Java version installed: 1.6.0_37
    I'm at a loss here and not sure what am I missing? I tried googling "DefaultAuthPrompter" and nothing shows up.
    Any help is much appreciated.
    thanks,
    Rahul

    Hi Arun,
    I'm not behind a firewall and access the wsdl directly. I can also use other applications to generate proxy classes from this wsdl url.
    I am starting to wonder if there is missing library on my mac installation of Jdeveloper?

    I'm working on getting a proxy web service working in 11g and the contents of this thread is close to answering my question.
    The web service proxy is accessing a service that requires a SOAP Security header.
    In looking at the previous post, I thought that by using the BindingProvider API I could add the security settings. But when I invoke the proxy I consistently get the following error response from the (PeopleSoft) web service: "com.sun.xml.ws.client.ClientTransportException: request requires HTTP authentication: Unauthorized'
    In contrast to that error, when I use JDeveloper's HTTP Analyzer, I get a successful response from the web service. Below is what the raw HTTP looks like:
    POST https://isiswebdev.services.wisc.edu:7002/PSIGW/PeopleSoftServiceListeningConnector HTTP/1.1
    Content-Type: text/xml; charset=UTF-8
    Host: isiswebdev.services.wisc.edu:7002
    SOAPAction: "CI_U_FA_CSA_STDTA_CI_G.V2"
    Content-Length: 548
    X-HTTPAnalyzer-Rules: 1
    <env:Envelope xmlns:env="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:ns1="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-wssecurity-secext-1.0.xsd" xmlns:ns2="http://xmlns.oracle.com/Enterprise/Tools/schemas/M183895.V1">
    <env:Header>
    <ns1:Security>
    <ns1:UsernameToken>

    </ns1:Security>

    </ns2:Get__CompIntfc__U_FA_CSA_STDTA_CI>
    </env:Body>
    </env:Envelope>
    Here's the Java code that I'm using to try to make the same call:
    public void callIWebservice(String emplId){
    cSA_STDNT_DATA = new CSA_STDNT_DATA();
    CI_U_FA_CSA_STDTA_CI_PortType port = cSA_STDNT_DATA.getCI_U_FA_CSA_STDTA_CI_Port();
    Map<String, Object> requestContext = ((BindingProvider)port).getRequestContext();
    requestContext.put(BindingProvider.USERNAME_PROPERTY, "UserName");
    requestContext.put(BindingProvider.PASSWORD_PROPERTY,"XXXXXXX");
    GetCompIntfcUFACSASTDTACITypeShape CiType = new GetCompIntfcUFACSASTDTACITypeShape();
    EMPLIDTypeShape emplIDType = new EMPLIDTypeShape();
    emplIDType.setValue(emplId);
    CiType.setEMPLID(emplIDType);
    try {
    GetCompIntfcUFACSASTDTACIResponseTypeShape response = port.getDATA(CiType);
    System.out.println(response.getCUMGPA());
    } catch (M464939V1 e) {
    System.out.println(e.getFaultInfo());
    But, alas, I just get the ClientTransportException.
    Is the Bindingprovider interface the correct way to add the soap security headers? Or am I following the wrong path?
    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    There might be something invalid in your WSDL.
    Try to create a Java Web Service Proxy for this WSDL in JDeveloper and see if that works.

  • Web Service call to BPM to call another Web Service - all synch

    HI all,
    I have a webservice call to GetDocument from external system. In BPM I like to call another ws (SearchDocument) to retrieve metadata, which I need to complete the first GetDocument webservice. All synch if possible.
    Any idea how to achieve this with (or mayby without) BPM ??

    Thanks for your reply. Can you elaborate on that a bit more ?
    My first WS call is to get a document..but because I need to add some metadata in order to have a succesful call I need to call another WS first to the same system to get the required metadata. Then I need to use this metadata to complete the first - GetDocument- call....
    Hope this clarifies the scenario...
    Is it maybe possible to do this another way..in sequence..using response data to populate another ws call ??
    all help appreciated !
    cheers,

  • OSB 11g  - lock jms/web-services connection

    Hello!
    I have next configuration:
    ws client <- -> proxy service (soap/http) <- -> osb business service <- one-way ssl -> ws provider (basic authentification)
    jms client <- -> proxy service (soap/jms) <- -^
    Problem:
    If run load test ws client - service work fine, but if in moment this test jms client send message then ws service and jms service have locks by 2 min.
    ThreadStackDump contains:
    "[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '39' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'" waiting for lock java.util.Vector@6a692986 BLOCKED
                     java.util.Vector.isEmpty(Vector.java:279)
                     weblogic.net.http.KeepAliveCache.get(KeepAliveCache.java:150)
                     weblogic.net.http.HttpClient.findInCache(HttpClient.java:230)
                     weblogic.net.http.HttpsClient.New(HttpsClient.java:499)
                     weblogic.net.http.HttpsURLConnection.connect(HttpsURLConnection.java:239)Do you have ideas about problem?
    Thanks

    The reason for asking was this type of thread locking issues requires reproducible set-up for further investigation. This type of investigation takes time/effort which might not be possible on Forums. Are you able to reproduce it consistently on other machines?If so if you can send me the reproducer, I can try analysis for you. (if time permits)
    Thanks

  • How to separate BPM 11g from ADF

    Hi all,
    we are facing with a huge issue about how to separate BPM 11g ADF Task page components from SOA/BPM to a new non-soa ADF managed server.
    We are ready to move on pre-production server from development enironment and the new environment has two different servers, one for Soa/Bpm and the second for a non-soa ADF server.
    We have deployed all and it seems work fine but...when we call:
            SecurityContext securityContext =  ADFContext.getCurrent().getSecurityContext();
            String username = securityContext.getUserName();
    got: username  = anonymous.
    Tried with this also:
                 String userName = "";
                //read name from security context
                ADFContext adfCtx = ADFContext.getCurrent();
                SecurityContext secCntx = adfCtx.getSecurityContext();
                userName = secCntx.getUserName();
                //read name from bpmWorklistContext context
                FacesContext context = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
                String ctx = (String)context.getApplication().evaluateExpressionGet(context, "#{pageFlowScope.bpmWorklistContext}", String.class);
                IWorkflowServiceClient workflowSvcClient = ADFWorklistBeanUtil.getWorkflowServiceClient();
                ITaskQueryService wfQueryService = workflowSvcClient.getTaskQueryService();
                IWorkflowContext wfContext;
                try {
                    wfContext = wfQueryService.getWorkflowContext(ctx);
                    userName = wfContext.getUser();
                    logger.info("UserName from Oracle:" + userName);
                } catch (WorkflowException e) {
                    logger.info(e.getMessage());
                    e.printStackTrace();
                return userName;
    And received this error:
    "Oracle | Invalid Token Error in Verification Service.
    Invalid Token Error in Verification Service. Received invalid token in .
    Verify that correct token is passed."
    I have followed this blogs but no luck:
    Onkar's SOA, BPM and ADF Blog: How to separate BPM 11g ADF Task page components from SOA/BPM to a new ADF managed server
    http://blog.dreamix.eu/oracle-2/ultimate-guide-separating-bpm-adf
    Notes about Oracle: How to configure local integrated WebLogic non-SOA domain to access BPM worklist on separate SOA-ena…
    I do not understand where the error is. Why the SecurityContext is getting lost.
    Can you help me? Any suggestions will be welcome.
    Thanks.
    Fairlie

    Ok, these are the lines of code you can use to create a method that returns the authenticated user name:
    try {
    IWorkflowServiceClient wfSvcClient;
    ITaskQueryService queryService;
    IWorkflowContext wfContext;
    // Get username of User Login
    String contextStr = ADFWorklistBeanUtil.getWorklistContextId();
    wfSvcClient = WorkflowService.getWorkflowServiceClient();
    queryService = wfSvcClient.getTaskQueryService();
    wfContext = queryService.getWorkflowContext(contextStr);
    userId = wfContext.getUser();
    } catch (Exception e) {
    e.printStackTrace();
    And you can add it to the backing bean of your page (a Java Class that you can declare to handle ADF Page components). Let me know if this helps.
