BPM: Application Level Acknowledgements

Hi Friends,
   Can any one help me how to make use of Application Level Acknowledgements in Asynchronous Send step. When i set this, if my RFC function has any  errors while executing will i get the relevant message. If so how to use that Message...

Hi,
To receive a response, you have to use a synchronous interface. This is an application level response,To my knowledge.
For Asynchronous This might help you
Go to the Integration Builder: Configuration
access by, the design - Environment - Integration Builder
1. Go to Scenarios
2. Create a new Configuration Scenario by rightclick and NEW
3. choose language and save
4. on the left tree choose your created scenario
5. choose Receiverdetermination
6. Enter Service = sender System
7. Choose Interface = your Interface File(Structure) from Design
8. Choose Namespace if not filled
9. create
10. open the new Receiverdetermination
11. tab"Configured Receivers" enter Service = receiving System and maybe a condition
12. save
13. Tab"Configuration Overview for Receiver Determination" open the new Receiver Service. The should be a text like "not defined".
14. click at thew first symbol(Interface Determination) Dropdown and select new
15. go on with create
16. choose Inbound Interface and Mapping
17. save and close
18. Goto ReceiverAgreement and click at NEW from the symbol-line.
19. go on with create
20. enter sender Service and communication channel
21. save, activate

  • BPM Application: Task access related issue

    Hi Gurus,
    I have one secure (using ADF security) Application(Simple ADF Application), which will write data in XML format into a JMS Queue.After login to application,user can use that functionality. Then that message is fetched by one BPM Application and creates one task against a BPM user. This two applications are working fine upto this level, but after login to BPM workspace using BPM user , I am not able to see the task details(but in inbox task is reflected) after clicking on the task instance and I am getting error message like this :

    where jcooper is the BPM user and Sharmistha is user of the secured application.
    I tried to add BPM users in the secured application , but that does not work. (it is mandatory that BPM user and Secured Application's user should be different)
    How to resolve this type of problem. any type of suggestion on this would be helpful.
    Thanks is Advance

    Hi, -CHS,
    i have a query regarding the code snippet.
    FacesContext facesContext = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.render.ExtendedRenderKitService service =org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.util.Service.getRenderKitService(facesContext, ExtendedRenderKitService.class);
    service.addScript(facesContext, "window.close();window.opener.location.href = window.opener.location.href;");
    If a create a button in my only JSF page in a simple ADF application and use this code snippet for that button action, then will it help to close the page?
    And yeah, here i have created a bounded task flow with a wild card and task return activity and added my JSF page in the taskflow. But now it is not closing my page on the button click.
    Can you tell me if i am doing any wrong?
    Please reply.

  • Deploying a large Oracle BPM Application with multiple UI projects

    Hi everyone
    I'm working on a large application with Oracle BPM 11.1.1.5.0.
    I'm using JDeveoper 11.1.1.5.0 to build the application.
    The application has lots of user tasks with lots of UI projects (one for each user task).
    My problem is, each time I make a small change in the project, I have to deploy the whole thing, which includes one main project and five or six UI projects (for now) for the user tasks.
    As the application gets bigger I'm sure this will definitely become an issue.
    So my question is if I'm doing this the right way? or should there be a more efficient way?
    Thanks in advance
    Edited by: luke on Apr 17, 2012 12:16 AM

    Hi Luke
    1. Generally, there is NO need to have One UI Project for one individual Task. Say you have like 10 Tasks (.task files) like Initiator, Approver, Reviewer, LegalApprover etc etc. You can have just One UI TaskForms Project and have taskDetails.jspx generated for each one of these Tasks. This is the preferred way.
    2. Any Workflow Application should have just 2 deployers. Means one deploy is for actual Workflow stuff that will have the main BPEL or BPM Process, human Tasks etc etc. Basically all that goes into workflow project. And another deployer is the REST of the things means the TaskForms UI Project and any other supporting projects like EJB projects, utils projects, any WebServices projects (if you have WebServices). All these will be deployed as one SINGLE EAR.
    Lets take an Example from JDeveloper IDE point of view.
    1. Application Name: SalesOrderApp
    2. Workflow Project Name: SalesProcess (This is a a jdeveloper project of type BPM Project or SOA Project and has all human tasks, bpels, bpm process, business rules etc etc).
    3. UI Project: SalesTaskForms (This is a auto generated form for the very first Task that you choose. Then for rest of the Tasks use this same Project, to generate jspx for all other .TASK files. REFER online docs on how to do this. I will see if I can compile this list of urls for you).
    3. Supporting EJB Projects: MyEJBProject1 (Some EJB Project that connects to some backend database specific to your project)
    4. Supporting another EJB Service Project: MyExtServiceProject1 (Like another EJB Project, that pulls data from some external source)
    5. Some WebService Project: SalesCreditCardValidationWebService (Some WebService Project to be deployed as .WAR file that does some service).
    Try to apply SOA Concepts for each Service that your application needs. Instead of putting all the EJBs and everying in one single giant project, try to split them logically/business need wise and geenrate separate projects so that they can service as it is to other projects and other apps.
    Anyhow, coming back, in above Example, you should have jsut 2 Deployement: 1 is Workflow SCA JAR File and other is full EAR file.
    a) For the Workflow Project, right click and generate a Deployment profile to deploy just this workflow and NOT any other UI Projects.
    b) For each individual project genereate a deployment profile like MyEJBProj1, MyEJBProj2, MyWebService1 etc etc.
    c) For TaskForms project also, generate a deployment profile like SalesTaskForms. This will be a WAR file.
    d) At Application Level, create a new Deployment profile of type EAR and now assemble all the projects under this EAR except for the Workflow project.
    First you deploy Workflow SCA JAR file. You need to redeploy this again only when you make changes to workflow, humantasks etc etc.
    Deploy full blown EAR file that has all the stuff (EJB JARs, TaskForm WARs, WebService WARs etc).
    Anytime you change taskforms, or any java or ejb code, ReDeploy EAR file.
    You should have one JAR and one EAR to deploy at the end of the day. Infact this is how it should go into UAT and Production. They should not have multiple JARs, multiple WARs to deploy. The reason we have separate Workflow SCA Jar file is, bcos workflow will not change frequenly. And also older versions of SOA/BPM (before 11.5 FP) have a huge disadvantage. Everytime we deploy workflow project, it will make all existing process STALE unless you deploy with a diff version. This is not an issue any more for 11.5 + FP (Feature Pack applied). Hence be careful when you redeploy workflow project.
    Thanks

  • How to keep an application level object running with SunIDM?

    We are working on intergrate a gmail project with SunIDM. We need an application level object running with SunIDM so it will maintain a token generated from Gmail side. In anther servlet project, I had this object saved in the attribute of the ServletContext, then other session level servlet could share this attribute anytime. Is there a way to store attribute in Servlet Context and have it shared by different user session in SunIDM? I have been reading documents and searched this forum, haven't find any topics related how to maintain an application level object live. Hopefully that I can get some hint here.
    Thank you so much.

    Paul, Thank you so much for the further explaination. I don't think it will work since the token generated from gmail will expire every 24 hours.
    We are using the gdata library published from by gmail people, and I create a new UserService object and have it run in the application level. The UserService object will generate a token and renew it every 24 hours behind the scene. Here is how I implement it in my Servlet project:
    //to have a UserService object running at the application level:
    public class GmailUserService extends HttpServlet {
    public void init(ServletConfig config) throws ServletException{
    super.init();
    userService = new UserService(myApplication);
    config.getServletContext().setAttribute("gmailUserService", userService);
    //to access this UserService object from other servlet in each user session:
    UserService userService = (UserService)servletContext.getAttribute("gmailUserService");
    Gmail will trigger an error if we create a new UserService object for each user. They recommend to have all the user to share one UserService object. I am looking for similar approach in SunIDM.
    Thank you again, Paul, for trying to help.

    Regards,

    Hello,
    I have found some Debug entries into my log file when this BPM process executes and go in Suspend mode. I do not understand the error. But this Begun entries have Green symbol which I understand there should not be any problem. But then why my process goes to Suspend mode??? If you like then I can also provide this Debug entry message from log file in order to get the idea about this problem.
    I use Logical destination on automatic BPM step. Which has WSDL link. This wsdl link I have test into WS Navigator which works fine. But I am wondering why it is not working in my BPM process?????
    does any one has idea what to do?

    Restart the server as I found in some pages and even a thread here (https://forums.oracle.com/thread/1557156) is not the better solution, the real issue still unknown. I need to find a solution without restarting the server machine.

    That error means you don't have rights to the Mailbox your trying to access. In Exchange by default the only user that has access to mailbox is the owner of the Mailbox, Exchange Administration rights does not grant you access to another users mailbox. You
    need to either specifically grant rights to each mailbox using Add-MailboxPermissions or use EWS impersonation where you can impersonate the owner of the Mailbox see

  • Can't see the deployed BPM application in BPM Workspace

    Hi Guys !
    I've created a BPM application, deployed it succesfully ( the message was 'deployment finished' ) and now I want to launch it.
    I can login in BPM workspace, but in my Inbox I don't see any active application.
    I read about adding 'weblogic' to BPMWorkspaceAdmin role.
    I don't have the BPMWorkspaceAdmin role.
    I added 'weblogic' to BPMWorkflowAdmin.
    What else to do ?
    Many thanks,
    Gabi

    Hello Gabi,
    I just figured out the solution to my problem. Actually, that doesn't seem to be related to PS6. A collegue told me that something similar also was an issue in previous jDeveloper releases. The problem is that jDev is not able to save the new name if you renamed the default process role "Role" to something else, eg. "Requester". The solution is to add a new role and just delete the default process role called "Role".
    To check this, go to the Organizsation preferences of your project in jDev (jDev > BPM Project Navigator > <YourProject> > Organization > Roles) and compare the process roles to the process roles of the deployed project in the BPM Workspace (in your browser, open <yourURL>:7001/bpm/workspace > Login as administrator (usually user "weblogic" + password "welcome1") > Administration on the upper right > Organization > Roles)
    You might find the role "<YourProject>.Role" there which you thought have renamed in jDev earlier.
    I hope this helps.

  • Setting application level item during authentication

    We’re having an issue with an application level item that we set during our custom authentication function to store a role list for authorization. The issue is that the application level item, which should be set using htmldb_util.set_session_state(‘ITEM_NAME’, p_item_value), is not being set.
    On further investigation we realised that this issue was only affecting developers, not users of the application. This seems to be because the home page link, set in Shared Components > Edit Security Attributes, is set to “f?p=&APP_ID.:1:&SESSION.”, which means that the developers session was being passed to the application when the “Run Application” button was pressed. What then happens is that following the successful execution of the authentication function, a new session id is generated and visible on the URL and the Application Level Items are not set correctly.
    Examples:
    I’m developing an application on Apex that has the home page link set to “f?p=&APP_ID.:1:&SESSION.”, here’s the first part of my URL at the Application home page:
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=4000:1:1065658352862710::
    I hit “Run Application” and get to this URL (note the session id is the same)
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=16033:1:1065658352862710:::::
    I log in using any old username and password (the auth scheme on this demo app always returns true) and I get to this URL (note the session id is different):
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=16033:1:1403999736046638
    My application level item is not set and I start to cry. When I recover from my tearful episode I try to log in again, I hit logout and get taken to this URL:
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=16033:1
    I log in again (with the same username or different, it doesn’t matter) and low and behold, my application level item is set ok. This is the URL I can see (note another new session id):
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=16033:1:4917752800353335
    In despair, I close my browser window and go to my other application, this one has got the home page link set to “f?p=&APP_ID.:1” (no session id passed).
    I log back into Apex as a developer and go to the application home page at this URL:
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=4000:1:131988631742187::
    I hit “Run Application” and get to this URL (note the session id is missing):
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=19114:1::::::
    I log in using any old username and password (same deal as before) and I get to this URL (new session id):
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=19114:1:4320851658879093:::::
    Amazingly, this time the application level items are set first time.
    What I’d like to know (there is a purpose to this) is:
    - Why is a different session allocated to the application after login, when a “developer’s” session id is passed to the application?
    - If I remove the session id from the home page url what is the impact? I can’t think of anywhere within the application that this is used (other than between page 101 and the home page), but our thoughts are that this could mean that users end up generating more sessions on the server.
    - Is there any other way around this, perhaps using a different method of setting the application level item? The authentication procedure which sets the item reads as follows and mimics our authentication procedure (which you can assume does a little bit more than just returning true):
    function test_login
      (p_username in varchar2 default null,
      p_password in varchar2 default null) return boolean is
    begin
      htmldb_util.set_session_state('F16929_SYSDATE', to_char(sysdate, 'DAY'));
      return true;
    end;- Has anyone else encountered difficulties with the setting of application level items during login or has anyone come up with a more ingenious plan for passing something back from authentication that can later be used for authorisation?
    Thanks
    matt

    Scott,
    Many thanks for the response.
    We've found a way around this now, by changing the developer's usernames to the same as their NT/ Active Directory signon, which fools APEX into maintaining the session id from their builder session even though when logging into the application they get authenticated by LDAP.
    Using a post authentication process would be ok but I can't see any way of passing a variable retrieved in the authentication process under the first session to the post authentication process so that it can be set in the second session. We'd either therefore have to insert the data into a table and read it back or add an extra LDAP call to retrieve the user role/ group list during the post authentication process.
    Thanks again,
    Matt

  • BPM Application requires auto claim for worklist instances

    Hi All
    Our BPM application (SOA 11g), requires that the BPM instances in the worklist be auto claim enabled for each instance. The reason for this is that each instance is an ADF form that has 2 very distinct outcomes. Having set the human task(based on which the ADF forms are built) in the BPM workflow, to auto-claim enabled, I still notice that the instances are not claimed when open. The forms can be open by multiple users concurrently which is not an acceptable solution by the client from a security point of view. We need to enable auto claim as part of our BPM administration for each instance.
    Is there a way within the BPM Administration that this can be done?
    Any suggestions programatically or via the tool?
    Many Thanks

    Hi,
    Are you using  your own certificates for SSL? If yes,you must remove references to the demo certificates by removing the following line from the setDomainEnv file for your version of the operating system.
    -Djavax.net.ssl.trustStore=${WL_HOME}/server/lib/DemoTrust.jks
    Also check that  the path for truststore are properly set in setDomainEnv.sh/Cmd file.
