BPM object names from JDeveloper

Hi All,
I'm developing BPM 10.3.1.0 JSP pages in JDeveloper 11.1.1.2.0, rather than using the rather clunky presentation/screen flow designer.
I'm editing the JSP tags in JDeveloper and am having to manually add in the attribute names of my BPM objects. This isn't great as it's slow and my typing isn't good thus causing some RTEs.
Does anyone know how to either import the BPM Object into JDeveloper so it can be dragged and dropped from, say, the JDeveloper Component Palette (just like the JSP tags), or some other more ingeneous way of building the JSP page without having to remember the BPM object attributes and manually key them in?
...or am I consigned to the long-promised BPM 11g?
I've hunted this forum and the docs but can't put my finger on this answer to this one.
Many thanks in advance.
Yours lazily,
Phil.

I found a solution for my problem:

  • Is itpossible recover BPM Object instance from Screenflow in Grab Activity?

My process has two roles: role1 and role2.
role2 has an activity of type "Interactive" and the implementation type of this activity is Screenflow, in this Screenflow I have an instance variable of the type BPM Object.
role1 has a Grab Activity from Interactive Activity that describes above, the Grab Activity has a unconditional transition to another Interactive Activity and this Interactive Activity has the same implementation type of the Interactive Activity of the role2 and points to the same Screenflow.
I need to recover the values of the BPM Object that filled in role2, in other words, I need the same instance of the BPM Object in Interactive Acitivity of the role2 in the role1.
If an user filled a field called "name" of BPM Object in the Interactive Activity of the role2, it needs to see that value in the Interactive Activity of the role1 after grabbed this activity of the role2 to role1.
    Is it possible?

    Hi,
Sure it's just me, but I got a bit lost with the description of what you're trying to do. One place I got lost was in the discussion of roles. Roles are used in Oracle BPM processes for a variety of reasons, but I'm not sure they're germane to your problem so I'm trying to rephrase your question without their use.
Here's my attempt to rephrase what it is that I think you're trying to do:
    1. I think you have two activities. I'm naming them "Check Credit" and "Final Check"
    2. I'm guessing you have a transition between the two activities "Check Credit" and "Final Check"
    3. Your process has an instance variable that is a BPM Object that I'm naming "customer". Since it's a BPM Object type, it has a variety of attributes (e.g. customer.name, customer.address, etc.)
    4. You have a Grab activity that has its "Runtime" property set to be "Defined" (meaning you have transitions defined coming into and out of the Grab activity). I think you might have a transition going from the "Final Check" activity to your Grab activity and I think you might have a transition going from the Grab to the "Check Credit" activity.
Does this describe your process? I'm assuming you probably want to have the instance variable revert back to original values of the instance variable object before work was done in one of the activites, but don't want to head too far down this path until you confirm that this is what you want to know.
    Thanks,
    Dan

  • Published UPK files change Object Names from "Options" to "Guiliani says De

When we published our UPK files to our server, the Object Name of the captured object from whatever innocuous name such as "Options" or "Manufacturer" or "Driving Directions" to "Guiliana says Dems won't say 'Islamic Terrorist'" or in UPK ITSELF, even thought the screen is correct the Object Name in the developer UPK was changed to "Fred Thompson" which the developer did NOT do, and one object name was changed to Rasheed something, someone's name.
When we demo our simulations, it looks like the training team does this, but we do not. It happens after the sims are uploaded to our server.
    What gives?

  • Retrieve all source database object names from an application in APEX 4.0

    Hello
    I have completed an application developed in APEX 4.0 ( @Oracle 10g database ).
Now we need to migrate the scripts including all database objects that support the application from Schema A to Schema B.
Is there a report I can run to provide me the information like this :
Page number, Name of the database object used ( including table, view and sequence )
This would allow me to examine each database object used in Schema A and make sure the same object and data have been copied to Schema B without missing anything.
    Thanks
    Susanna

    Hi,
On APEX 4.1 there is Database Object Dependencies Report
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23903_01/doc/doc.41/e21674/bldr_app_rpt.htm#CEGGAICH
I'm not sure is this feature in APEX 4.0

  • Solaris/Linux Reports 6i modify object names from command line

We are running Solaris 2.6 and are converting Reports from 3 to 6i.
We want to change the name of certain objects at the command line, preferably in batch mode.
    Any help gratefully received.

Looks like the command is being split in some way - the connection to sqlplus is being made before it completes the whole string
It appears to be seeing the @instance_name as a script to execute rather than a db to connect to.
Is the database on the same server as the script?
If so, try setting your environment to the correct databsae, so that you can omit the @instance_name part of the syntax and see if it helps
Also just noticed the failure to open the decrypt script. It would appear uyou are not using a full path name. Have you checked which directroy the scheduled job starts in? You may need to look at running some environment specific scripts first.

  • Unable assign a BPM Object field value to a JSP Variable using "invoke"

    Hi,
I'm unable to retrieve a value returned by a BPM Object Method and use it in JSP. Here is what I'm trying to achieve:
BPM object named : "myObject" has a method "getRequiredValue" which returns a "String". I want to assign the value returned by "getRequiredValue" to a JSP Variable "myVariable" using invoke method as below:
    <% String myVariable = ""; %>
    <f:invoke var="${myObject}" methodName="getRequiredValue" retAttName="myVariable"/>
    <% out.println ("myVariable: " + myVariable); %>
When I execute the above code I don't get the value being returned by "getRequiredValue" into "myVariable".
Any help would be highly appreciated!
    regards,
    MK

    1. Make sure you mark the "Server Side Method" property of the getRequiredValue method to "Yes".
    2. I guess you dont need to specify "<% String myVariable = ""; %>". Try removing it.
    3. Replace "<% out.println ("myVariable: " + myVariable); %>" by <c:out value="${myVariable}"/> just in case!
    4. Lastly, I hope "myObject" is the name of the instance variable in your screenflow, and not the BPM object name.
    Hope this helps

  • Finding RFC name from web service.

    Hi,
I have web service URL (WSDL) but I dont have RFC name or ABAP object name from which this Webservice is created.  Since Web service is created long back..
So is there any way out to find out Object name from Webservice ?
    Regards,

    Hi santosh,
In the url , you will get the technical name of the webservice we can use this name to track the Fm.
Consider this for get method : http://server.localhost/sap/opu/odata/sap/ZAPLX_FMAZ_VA_CRT_SO/zaplx_fmaz_va_crt_soCollection?$filter=i_createb_low eq '2014-03-24T10:56:39Z' .
In the above webservice you can get the technical name ZAPLX_FMAZ_VA_CRT_SO. take this name and find the entry in activate and maintain service in /IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE tcode.
then click on the entry and click add system alias button u will find the data model name there , use this name in se80 under data model . Double click on the technical name and click "open generator button" to get the RFC which is mapped.

As i already mentioned, you at least have to get the name of the application from iView property sheet. If you have a content administrator rights then you can find the iView and see the property.
Otherwise ask people who have this access to tell you the application name.

    Dear Garcia,
Let me try to help you out..
First of all let me confirm your requirement.. ie you want to get the attribute 'CONFIG_LINE_COL' of type cl_crm_bol_entity_col from the object 'ISUORDERITEM" right ?..
    try this code,
data: lr_col type ref to cl_crm_bol_entity_col.
    lr_col = me->typed_context->isuorderitem->config_line_col.
now you got the collection in lr_col variable.. you can play with this data now. I dont know whats your actual requirement so that i can help you further :).
    Hope it helps.

  • How to invoke BPM object instance variable from interactive activity?

I have a screenflow with an automatic activity "A" followed by an interactive activity "B". "B" calls a BPM object "X" and uses a JSP presentation to show its attributes. Is there a way to use another BPM object, say type "Y", create an instance variable of that type inside "A", and get its attributes values from the JSP page associated to "B"?
    Edited by: user6473912 on 20/07/2010 03:37 PM

Try this. It assumes you have:
    <li> a user named "auto"
<li> a project variable named "customerType"
<li> an instance variable named "orderAmount" that is a decimal
<li> an instance variable named "order" that is a BPM Object that has attributes named "customerName" and "amount"
    ps as ProcessService
    xmlObject as Fuego.Xml.XMLObject
    do
      connectTo ps
          using url = Fuego.Server.directoryURL,
          user = "auto",
          password = "auto"
      instF as InstanceFilter
      create(instF, processService : ps)
addAttributeTo(instF, variable : "customerType", comparator : IS, value : "Gold")
      instF.searchScope = SearchScope(participantScope : ParticipantScope.ALL, statusScope : StatusScope.ONLY_INPROCESS)
for each inst in getInstancesByFilter(ps, filter : instF) do
// here's how to get the value inside a primitive instance variable
orderAmtObj as Object = getVar(inst, var : "orderAmount")
// here's how to get the value of attributes inside a complex BPM Object instance variable
//    - in this case this is an "order" object with two attributes (customerName and amount)
orderObj as Object = (getVar(inst, var : "order"))
        xmlObject = Fuego.Xml.XMLObject(createXmlTextFor(DynamicXml, object : orderObj, topLevelTag : "xsi"))
logMessage "The value of the order object's customer name is: " +
               selectString(xmlObject, xpath : "customerName")
logMessage "The value of the order object's order amount is: " +
               selectNumber(xmlObject, xpath : "amount")
// here's a rather uninspired way to retrieve who the participant is that was assigned the instance
logMessage "The participant assigned to this instance is: " + inst.participantId

  • Duplicate Object Name Error When Publishing Crystal Reports from BW to BOE

    Hi,
We recently upgraded our systems (all client and server) to SP2.7 in order to solve a problem with saving Crystal Reports to BW.  Now we are experiencing a new error when trying to publish a Crystal Report from BW to BOE (either all in one step from Crystal Reports application or directly from within BW).
Upon trying to publish a Crystal Report from BW to BOE, we get the following error:
"An error occurred while saving and / or publishing.  The return code 1 was returned from the server.  Logon to Crystal Enterprise failed.  Unable to commit the changes to Enterprise.  Reason: Failed to commit objects to server : Duplicate object name in the same folder."
We have repeated this issue numerous time with different reports, users and logon credentials and have verified that there are NOT any duplicate object names.
Additionally, in some cases, the report ultimately publishes to BOE, but with the above error interruption along the way.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Josh
Edited by: Josh Crawford on May 10, 2010 9:46 AM

    Ingo,
Apologies for the delayed response.  We've spent a few days poking around with this issue, and had even opened a customer message for it (13641).
In the end, it seems that the problem was somehow associated with the "Prepare this report for translation." flag in the "Save to BW Options" dialog box of Crystal Reports.  If we try to Save & Publish with the Translation flag selected, we get the duplicate entry error.  If we Save & Publish without the Translation flag selected, everything is fine.
There are still some details we need to look into, but for the time being it looks like we don't have an issue anymore(assuming we ever did) as we're not concerned with Translation capabilities.
If we come across the problem again, I'll post again.
    Thanks,
    Josh

    Hi,
“All but one database are upgradable. However, one database gives:
    Invalid object name 'Webs'.”
Did the sentence you mean only one database not upgrade to SharePoint 2013 and given the error?
One or more of the following might be the cause:
    Insufficient SQL Server database permissions
    SQL Server database is full
    Incorrect MDAC version
    SQL Server database not found
    Incorrect version of SQL Server
SQL Server collation is not supported
    Database is read-only
To resolve the issue, you can refer to the following article which contains the causes and resolutions.
