BPM: percentage growth in table monitoring

Hello all,
I wanted to know whether it's possible to monitor a table in BPM with percentage growth values e.g. I get an alert when the table grows 10% or more per day.
I only found the growth monitoring by absolute values like 100.000 records inserted.

I just realized that an existing Setup Guide for the Table Entry Counter is not uploaded to the SAP Service Marketplace where it should be under http://service.sap.com/bpm > Media Library > Technical Information
This document desribes how dynamic dates can be realized. I guess the document shall be uploaded by tomorrow. In the corrsponding section it says
1.5.3 Dynamic Date Filtering
There are many use cases, where the result of a table count is time-dependent. For our used
example, we might be interested only in the amount of short dumps created on the current day.
However, inside the BPMon Setup Session there are only static filter values, like a fixed day
entry for a date field. To achieve a dynamic date filtering, which means calculating relative
dates instead of absolute dates, the Table Counter provides a special syntax on how define
fixpoints and offsets for relative dates.
Syntax for Relative Dates
Instead of a fixed (absolute) date, you can enter a special keyword for the start date (prefixed
by a $ sign) and optionally an additional offset as difference in days.
Syntax = <StartDate>[<Difference>]
For <StartDate> the following keywords are available:
Keyword for <StartDate> Description Example for 2008/09/24
$TODAY current date 2008/09/24
Hence you could say SELECT everything > $TODAY-30 Then you should get all entries of the last 30 days.

Percentage of used table space not reduce after deletion

Hi..
This is my query to delete data from database:-
delete from $tb_data where to_char(partition_dt,'MON') = '$mm';
The $tb_data and $mm is variable and the $tb_data will be read input table name (as example backup_nx160, backup_ngn and etc) and the $mm will be capture the input month.
My question is why the percentage of used table space is not reduce after delete query was executed. Could somebody help me..

1.In my report contains 2 columns.
2.Example - year,count.(Here- Count is fact)
3.I make the count as duplicate column and set as percentage.
4.If i create graph in pivot table itself then graph contains 3 column information i.e.,Year,Count,% Count.
5 Here i unable to hide/remove original count column.
My requirement is my graph has to contains 2 column information i.e., Year,%Count.
How to achive this.kindly let me know.

Naming Networks in EEM route table monitor

I have the following EEM applet running on one of my core devices to monitor any changes in the routing table.

This works brilliantly however the email I get lists the networks by IP and I am trying to get it to identify them by name

The script is running on a 3750
I tried putting ip host info on the switch but that did not work.
I am not sure if there is an extra line I can add to the script or if anyone else has done this?

I don't understand the request. Where would the network "name" come from? Networks are unnamed on IOS.

Rapid growth of table space APPLSYSX e APPLSYSD

When I launch the program "account generator" from Fixed Assets (FA) I note a rapid growth of table APPLSYSX e APPLSYSD; so I have to increase tablespace size, but the hard disk space is not enough. How can I purge this tables? Why this rapid growth of table APPLSYS?

take some time in the weekend and try to reorganise all the tables that that belong to this tablespace and rebuild the index. that should free up some space.

BPM Scenario : " Error accessing table SXMS_AS_STATUS method: INSERT"

Hi all,
Webservice --> XI -->BW .
BPM has been used to send to send the response back.
BPM :
start ->Receive(Request)> Transformation(Responsemap)>Send(SendtoR/3)->Send(Send Response) ---> stop.
We are getting the error as " The error is <SAP:Stack>Error accessing table SXMS_AS_STATUS method: INSERT</SAP:Stack>
There are some messages that Webservice sent and XI received them but this error occured during some process in XI. and this is causing some discrepancy in the data sent and received.
Any idea what might be the problem ? Is there anything which I need to change in the parameters to rectify this error?

I need your assisstance in one of the issues with Mail Notification Alert generated by SCOM.
Mail notification received as below:
Alert: Total CPU Utilization Percentage is too high
Severity: 2
ServerName:Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard - The threshold for the Processor\% Processor Time\_Total performance counter has been exceeded. The values that exceeded the threshold are: 97.091921488444015% CPU and a processor queue length of 16.

The Alert was generated by "Total CPU Utilization Percentage"
But the problem with the above mail notification is it doesn't mentions about the affected server. So I would like to know how to tweak the monitors to provide the server name into it.

Adding Cumulative Percentages to Pivot table

Hi all,
I am trying to add a Cumulative Percentage to a pivot table in Hyperion IR 11:
Month joined     July     August     September     October
Sales          5     3     2          0
Accounts     2     1     0          1
Marketing     0     8     5          2The pivot facts are the number of employees joining the department and the row label is the department.
I am trying to add a running cumulative percentage in the pivot table for each month. Example, the cumulative percent in July will be 71.4% [5/(5+2)] under Sales department and 100% under Accounts department (71.4 + 28.6 of Accounts). For month of August, the cumulative percent will reset the calculation to be that it will be 25% [3/(3+1+8)] for Sales in August. The expected pivot table is something like that:
Month joined     July          August          September     October
Sales          71.4          25          28.5          0
Accounts     100          33.3          28.5          33
Marketing     100          100          100          100The underlying table is as follows:

Table monitoring , how do oracle count the numbers ?

i'm looking at all_tab_modifications , just couldn't figure out where those numbers from ,
DB.9208 , table partitioned
looks like it off of what it should be
my question is
1. when does montioring take place , and by how?
2. is the number cumulative from monitoring turn on ? from instance restart ? or between two snaps ?
3. offical doc says like inserts is Approximate number of inserts since the last time statistics were gathered
that means the number recycles after snap taken , it goes on by every DML , but i have insertions against a table which says inserts is 0
4. some says to reflect the newest exec dbms_stats.flush_database_monitoring_info; which is even more confusing for me and makes no difference in my case

Database tables monitoring

Hi,
In BPC we have a table which contains logs about BPC activity (errors, warnings, information), is it possible to setup SCOM to monitor this database for certain things within this table?
We cannot monitor for LogID as this ID is created every time a new entry is added no matter what job it is but was hoping we could monitor for certain “Job Name”? Please let me know if this is possible with SCOM?

CCMS for Table monitoring not using Message Class

We are currently using a Table content monitor in CCMS to raise alerts for an ABAP monitoring program we have written. The program inserts records in a custom ABAP table and when a row is inserted with a certain value we raise an alert through CCMS.
The data collection method is using the "Red" function module SCSM_GEN_TAB_DS_R
The alerts are generating fine but the alert text is displaying <CCMS: no default text available>. We have configure a message class and number but it is not displaying this in alert. Does anyone know what could be the problem?
Here is the parameter settings for the data collection method
1. TARGET_TABLE           ZTSPM_CH_STATUS
2. FIELDNAME              CHANNELKEY
3. FIELDVALUE             CCSTATUS

Rescanfrombegin and Messageclass have not been set, because I read, that there are many problems.
In Technical Export Monitors under DataSupplier theres an alert:
Internal Error in method SCSM_GEN_TAB_DS_R, Error: SELECT, SY-SUBRC = 0.
I think the problem is the WHERECLAUSE, but it doesn't matter if I change everything. Do you know any solutions, maybe?

Are you trying to return a percentage? If so, your format_string needs to have a percentage format.
Also, are you trying to return [Internet Sales Amount] change vs last month?
If so, the query should be something like this...

Apply percentage upcharge - multiple tables, multiple pages

Creating a price book with multiple tables on multiple pages. When it comes time for a price increase, can I apply a percentage (for instance, 3%) upcharge to all or specific tables in the book? Is there an easy way to do this?

Why not have one location that has the percent increase you wish to use, then refer a column next to the original Price with "Marked up price" that uses the original price times the one cell that has your percent in it. This way you have one location to type in the increase, and it reflects on all tables.
If you want only specific tables at one time, but want to choose, then create a check list that you check off which tables get the price increase. In the "Marked up price" columns, you then put an IF statement that will show original only if its box in unchecked in the list table.

Tablespace history, growth, which tables, tx DB02

Here is the scenario : I want to run a unix script (with sql commands) which selects information from the "history tables" (transaction DB02 - History) and then creates a flat file which can be emailed.
In which tables are the history information saved ?
Set up : BW 3.5/NW04, DB2 v8, AIX 5.2.

Hi,
direct evaluation of these tables is a little bit tricky. There are several tables, all starting with the prefix DB6PMH. And there is mostly a header table with suffix HD and a detail table. E.g. DB6PMHT and DB6PMHT_HD contain table and index history, DB6PMHXP_HD and DB6PMHXP contain tablespace history. For the details on how to interpret the columns you can look into the ABAP dictionary, mostly there is a short documentation there. But you should be aware of the fact, that this is not an 'official' interface and the layout of these tables might change in the future
