BPM : Procees the file based on the response of Webservice

Hi
I have a scenario where two files are the source..and the target is Webservice
Based upon the response of the first file ....i want to process the sencond file
if not i want to raise an exception...
whar are the steps i have to use in BPM..
SV

SV,
Steps are mention below
1. 2 Receive Step - To recieve data from files also define corelation
2. Send Step - Call webservice
3. Switch Step - To check whether response is ok
4. If the condition true then process the second file.
5. If condition fails raise an exception message

  • How to update the Sent Idoc Status based on the Response From Webservice

    Hi All,
I have to develop Idoc--SOAP Sync Process Scenario Using BPM .
I have configured every thing using BPM and mapped
    MATMAS----SOAP Request
    SOAP Resp----STATUS.SYSTAT01
In R/3  the Main Idoc Number(MATMAS) Status needs to be update , but it is creating the new Idoc with STATUS.SYSTAT01.
I have used STATUS.SYSTAT01 Idoc to Update the status of the Original idoc based on the Response that is coming from webservice .
I was posted the same thread a days ago and there Bhavesh suggested me some sugessions.
How can we make the status of the Idoc based on some response Text
iam unable to follow OR not able to clear my self on this.
Please suggest me or give some over view kind of thing on this
    Regards

    Hi Suman,
It is clearly mentioned in SAP help that "SAP Intermediate Documents (IDOCS) are EDI like documents that are asynchronous in nature."
So Your Scenario is Asynch(receive) - Synch(WS call) -Transformation (Multimapping)- Asynch(Send to R/3).
    now go in this way:
you can develop all the message Interfaces  of  Abstract catagory (not manditory )
MI_AA_MATMAS   -> Abstract Asynchronous message    interface for your Matmas IDOC
MI_AS_SOAP_ReqandResp  -> Abstarct Syncronous MI for SOAP request and response.
MI_AA_STATUS ->Abstract Asyncronous MI for Status Idoc
MI_AA_SOAP_Req ->  Abstarct Asyncronous MI for SOAP request .
MI_AA_SOAP_Res ->  Abstarct Asyncronous MI for SOAP response .
    Thats all in Message interface.
    your first reciever :
(This will receive the message asynchronously from R/3)
create a conatainer varaiable (say preceive) and assign it message interface MI_AA_MATMAS
Now in thw Propert TAB of this step: give this message name.
    Step2: Synchronous call :
create container Variable psoaprequest and psoapresponse  give abstract message interface MI_AA_SOAP_Req and MI_AA_SOAP_Req  resp.
Now in thw Propert TAB of this step:
    Synchronous Interface : MI_AS_SOAP_ReqandResp
    Request Message : psoaprequest
    Response Message: psoapresponse
    Transformation Step :
Here you will specify Interface Mapping that will conatain Multimapping between Synch Response - MATMAs and STATUS
    Let's name it as IM_ResandMatmasToStatus
create a container variable as pstatus and assign it abstract interface MI_AA_STATUS.
In Property pan of this step :
    Interface mapping :IM_ResandMatmasToStatus
    Source Message :psoapresponse
                                preceive
(IT will ask you for two source messages as IM selected in this transformation has 2 source messages)
    Target Message :pstatus
    Send step:
    Select a message as pstatus.
    thats all in IR.
If have doubt in ID just let me know.
    Thanks

  • How can we make the status of the Idoc based on some response Text

    Hi All,
I have developed Idoc--SOAP Sync Process Scenario Using BPM and Works Perfectly.
I have used STATUS.SYSTAT01 Idoc to capture the Response that is comming from the Webservice.
I have mapped the response Text( Success or Fail) to one of the field in the Response Idoc, this is perfect.
    Requirement:
    1) If the Response Idoc Field receives Success Text means the Idoc Status shld be in Green Status.
    2) If the Respnse Idoc Field Receives FAIL means the Idoc Status shld be in RED Status.
                                          OR
    Another Option is
    1) Let us Assume that If i trigger one Idoc MATMAS to Webservice, if they receive that properly means the Idoc STATUS.SYSTAT01 shld show the success in WE05 of R/3.
Else it shld show Error status.
How can i Do this. please suggest me......
    Regards

    Hi Bhavesh,
Now got the Purpose of the SYSTAT Idoc.
Before this i thought of we have to check the SYSTAT Idoc status only If we want to know whether the sent MATMAS Idoc is success or fail.
I come to know through U But i thought was in wrong way, Correct one is the MATMAS Idoc status itself will show us if that is Processed by target or not with the help of SYSTAT Idoc after the Process Cycle is complete.
    OK oK......
Now My concentration is how to do the Response mapping in IR....
I can Mapp the MATMAS Idoc to Request Of Webservice.
Can You please let me know the process on developing the Response Mapping and getting the MATMAS idoc Number and passing it to the SYSTAT DOCMUN???
Iam getting the Response from Webservice as SUCCESS or FAIL only.I have Only one field in Response Webservice
What i have to do in Mapping
Please Bhavesh, help me in this

  • No response from WebService

Hi, well i read file and want to send data to WS while getting info back, that data is transmitted. But because it should be synchronous i don't get any response from WS.
What might be wrong?! even if the WS would answer, there should be an entry in Monitor!?
    br

Ur sender is file which could not be sync. If u want to get the response from webservice, then u need to configure Async-Sync bridge using BPM.

  • File To Proxy : Handle the response from ECC to send mail without BPM

    Hi,
    Scenario: FILE To Proxy
Requirement: We are receiving xml acknowledgement file from bank with IDoc number and status in SAP PI and the file is used to send the status number, message and and IDoc number to ECC. After request is received in ECC BAPI is executed to update the original status of outbound IDOC.
There would be multiple records in file and PI will send all IDoc acknowledgement to ECC to update the IDoc status.
Issue: Since PI send all records to ecc, if any single IDoc status update is failing in ECC how would it can be communicated to support.
ECC can send success or error response in proxy but how we can use the same in PI to send mail to support. Or is there any better error handling we can go for in such scenario.
    Thanks,
    Vertika

    Hi everyone
    thanks for response.
Interface 1: IDoc (ECC) to File (Bank) --> Done
Interface 2: Acknowledgment File (Bank) to BAPI (ECC) where BAPI will update the status of IDoc sent in first interface.
For Interface 2 : PI will receive file from Bank with multiple records i.e multiple IDoc numbers and their status. PI will invoke proxy to send the IDoc number and status number (eg 16) for all the records together. Now if BAPI fails to update status of any single IDoc in that file how support team will know that the particular record is failed. To handle this error ECC is saying they can send Error and Success back to PI. But the problem is how we can use that response in PI in the same interface to send emails to support team. Bank does not want any response back in this case. This is just to ensure proper error handling since this is bank related interface.
Splitting the interface in two interfaces will definitely help. But is there some way which can be used in same interface and based on error response from ECC mail is triggered.
If any one has better suggestion for such kind of error handling, please post the same.
    Thanks,
    Vertika

  • Getting the response in a single file

    Dear friends,
I need a clarriffcation, i am getting the response from rfc for my scenario file-xi-rfc(synchronous). And the result was stored in the ftp folder as a file. Now my issue is my source file having more than one sales order detials so the bappi is triggerd more than once and a result file is created for every sale order created. but i need a single file only to created having all the details of the created sale order. Please tell me how can i hold all the values together and write it at once in a single file. I have tried in sdn but i couldnot get the relevant answer.note i need to perform the same with out bpm.
    Thanks and Regards
    Karthikeyan

That should be possible using RFC mapping lookups, which is explained in detail in https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a03e7b02-eea4-2910-089f-8214c6d1b439

  • Splitting a file based on the payload field - multimapping

    HI Everyone,
I have a requirement of splitting a file based on the field .
    e.g When I am a file as :
    row1  David    US
    row2  Cindra   US
    row3   Peeru   CA
    row4   Jay       CA
Then, I have to split the file into two files, one file with the US rows and  another file with the CA rows.
There can be many countries in the input file, so number of target files need to be generated is not fixed.
I have gone through the below links :
/people/jin.shin/blog/2006/02/07/multi-mapping-without-bpm--yes-it146s-possible   ( in the blog we know that there are two receivers but in my case I dont know that )
    https://bond.newellco.com/irj/scn/,DanaInfo=www.sdn.sap.com,SSL+thread?messageID=6449801#6449801
( Everyone is providing JAVA mapping as a solution....)
Is Java mapping the only option to resolve the problem case I have ?
    Thx
    PEERU IN

    Hi Peeru,
I don't have access to the any FTP or file server of XI to check the file adapter as i am travelling right now(I am 100% sure that the file adapter splitting will work as i have done this for one of my requirement).
    Coming to your requirement:
I wrote an java map which will read the XML file and create the multiple recordset based on number of different country exists in the file, then i am printing the final structure in an multi mapping layout (please see the attached input file Country.xml and out put file which the java map generated Final.XML) if we do this i think the file adapter will create the different files based on the number of recordset we have as you can see the output file is generated with the 3 recordset (<Country>) tag each country tag has its own records, now if i give the filename in variable substuition pointing to region then i think i should get 3 files with names
    us.xml
    us01.xml
    us02.xml
i think by using the multi mapping i can generate 3 files and by using the variable substution i can give the 3 different names from the payload of each file and also can add the timestamp for each of the file, again i didn't have access to the file adapter in the project i am working on so i couldn't verify in XI server, but if you still looking for solution then let me know i will give the map details.

  • File2RFC Scenario in XI-want to send and the response of rfc by mail/fil

I have an File to RFC scenario in PI.The initial requirement was to just pick the file and update the data in sap.its file to rfc sceanrio in XI...
*Now i need to send the response of the rfc function module via file or could be via mail*
Please tell me the best way to approach..howdo i handel this scenario.
    Thanks.
    Rohan Patil.

    Hello Rohan,
In your case you can follow two approaches.
    1. If need to send RFC Response through Mail Use BPM
    2. IF need to send via File
2.1 you can implement with the  BPM
2.2 you can implement the same without BPM also(but needed SP10 of PI7.0 for this implementation by using standard modules check wiki for the same )

  • Does  BPM support the JAVA config file feature.

    Hi ,
Does BPM support the JAVA config file feature? like based on env(local, dev, test, stage, prod) BPM aaplication can have different values for the same property/variable using the config file. How can BPM identify its env (local, dev, test, stage, prod)
    Thanks In Advance!

    Hello Robert,
I am refering here to both C++ client and Coherence Server. Will it work in either of the cases?
    Thanks,
    JayHi Jay,
Coherence server: it definitely won't do anything with C++.
C++ client: for the cache store of a local cache residing within the C++ client you may be able to specify it, but it will have nothing to do with the cluster itself. I never worked with the C++ client, so I can't guarantee you can configure it that way. Look at the following page for further documentation:

  • Oracle SQL Developer  error - "The file-based source procedure Name is not present in the database."

I recently started working on the Oracle SQL developer. I have 'select' privileges on the QA schema and when tried to execute proc in QA. It is giving the error as 'The file-based source <procedure Name>  is not present in the database.  Was it compiled?'
instead 'you do not have sufficient privileges to execute this procedure'. Did research on internet but with no luck. What configuration changes needed to be done to make it work.Guide me.

Sounds like you do not have the correct privileges.  What should have been granted to you by the QA user, or some other user with appropriate privileges, is...
    grant EXECUTE on "QA"."<PROCEDURE_OF_INTEREST>" to "<YOUR_USERID>" ;
Note that a grant of execute on a procedure has nothing to do with grants of select on some or all of QA's tables and views.
So, as Vadim suggests, from your connection node in SQL Developer's Connections view, if you expand the Other Users node, then expand QA and look in the Procedures node, do you see the procedure of interest?  If not, you cannot expect to be able to execute it from your userid's connection. And even if you do see it, you may have some other privilege that permits viewing but not executing, like...
    The role SELECT_CATALOG_ROLE
The system privilege SELECT ANY DICTIONARY
And even if you do not see it there, then having certain other privileges granted to you could permit executing it in general, like...
    The role EXECUTE_CATALOG_ROLE
The system privilege EXECUTE ANY PROCEDURE
Also, note that the 3.0 release is a bit dated nowadays. Upgrading to 4.0.3 production or even the 4.1 EA2 (early adopter) release will, in general, give you a better experience.
    Best wishes,
    Gary

  • I want to update forms in the response file and save it. Sometimes it works, but often I need to save the response file in another name. Very inconsequent! How come?

I have a form that I am sending out and compiling in the response file. These forms I also want to be able to update after receiving them (when I have them in the response file).
But when I do the updates I need to re-save the response file with another name? The strange thing is that sometimes I can just update and save exactly the way I want it. But most of the time I get the message "This file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder."
Can someone please help me to figure out how to solve this issue. I know that I am the only one that has the file open. I am encountering the same issue in both Acrobat Pro 9 and Acrobat Pro X. (File was created in Acrobat Pro 9)

    Good day!
A simple Paste does not work for you?
It should place the clipboard content as a new Layer which you can then move around.
If there is any chance that the elements need to be scaled, rotated etc. I would prefer to place them as Smart Objects (File > Place …) and do the masking that is specific to the images themselves in those.

  • The data in the file [file name] has already been added to the response file

I'm obtaining this error when trying to import(Add) new PDF forms into the PDF Portfolio response file distributed with PDF's. It's a new problem. I've never seen this before. In fact, I imported a few dozen forms back in November. Now, I can only import one PDF form, after which this error is returned for any attempt to import additional PDF's.
I have renamed PDF's, redistributed the Portfolio file, and hunted for any unique identifier in the PDF forms that might be tracked in the Portfolio file, or perhaps a database of imported documents which might now be corrupted. As ANY PDF form can be imported, but only one form, I am suspicious that the issue isn't related to uniqueness, but rather related to something problematic with the PDF forms themselves, or the Portfolio file.
Now I'm completely stumped. Any ideas?
The same behavior appears in both environments that I use: Acrobat 10.1.4.38 forms (Reader Enabled) built and distributed with LiveCycle Designer ES2 Version 9.0.0.2.2... on XP Professional and on Windows Server 2003.
I posted this issue over on the LC Google Group a few days ago. There hasn't been any reply there.

Hi I had the same problem, it was telling me that 'a.pdf' was already in the response file although the data wasn't there. I exported all the data from that response file as a .csv and in the first column it had 'a.pdf' incorrectly listed in the same row as data from 'b.pdf' but 'b.pdf' was not listed as a source file. I deleted this offending row from the response file and then imported 'a.pdf' and 'b.pdf' again and it worked.
Hope that helps, no idea what caused the glitch although both 'a.pdf' and 'b.pdf' were submitted by the same person in a short time frame so maybe that has something to do with it.
