I'm looking for some document or information about BPM Process testing, best practices about how test a BPM Process or something like that.
I collected the information about Testing from the BPM document's, and added something additional from lifecycle of BPM process, but i can not found more about this topic

I realize this might not be entirely what you're looking for (it provides no in-depth best practices on BPM testing), but there is a sample project 'BPMUnitTestExample.exp' in your samples directory.
It provides some ideas on how to test BPM processes and objects.

How to access/invoke Web Service from BPM Process

The following steps required to attach and invoke web service method from process:
1) Add a module in the catalog for ex WebServiceMO
2) Add WebService Catalog component demoWebService in WebServiceMO
3) Put ur WSDL address in WSDL address field like "http://localhost:8080/test/test?wsdl"
4) Click next to introspect the web service it will import required files and setting from the url to your project
5) Now for invoking webservice just call the method for ex.
@return as String[]
getTestStringList(TestInterfaceService, out @return : @return)
logMessage "web service calll result >>"+length(@return)+">>>"+@return[0]
Here @ return is the return from webservice call.
this way u can access web service from BPM process.

I have a web service which does not return any value but when I introspect the web service, I have an out parameter to it.. Not sure why?
For e.g.
TestServiceListener.addTestNotes(TestNotes : testNotes, out TestNoteResponse : testNoteResponse);
So here I see an out parameter, but my web-service has no out parameter...
Any idea why is this happening?

Getting error while Startting a BPM process programmatically

Hi Experts,
I am getting an error while trying to start the BPM process programmatically. What i have done till now is
1. Created a WS in process composer
2. Binded this ws with start of the process
3. Created input parameters
4. Testing it in WS Navigator
I am following this doc /people/arafat.farooqui/blog/2009/08/13/introduction-to-sap-netweaver-bpm-part-4
and I am getting error while testing in WS Navigator. I am getting error at the last step i.e. in result step and the error is
Web Service returned an error. Fault Code: "(http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/)Client" Fault String: "No operation found using soap keys [], [cn_comments]. Thanks for replying. Yes i have completed the output mapping. Input parameters i need for this service are :
1. cn_comments
ca_comments
2. cn_planningGroup
ca_account
ca_serialnumber
and few more attributes
Now, what i did was i have created a complex type and added elements in it. But to my surprise i was not able to get these nodes and elements in output mapping. So, i changed the type of "parameter" from "new operation" to my complex type. By doing this i was able to get my nodes and elements in output mapping. Now i tested the entire thing in WS Navigator and i got that error.
Please suggest how o proceed.

Calling Oracle BPM Process Web Service from Oracle Service Bus

I am using Oracle Service Bus 10gR3.
I have developed simple BPM process through Oracle BPM studio 10.3.1.0.I then followed steps below
1. Create a Process.
2. Expose the Process as a Web Service.
3. Run the project. This starts the Process Execution Engine.
4. Create an ALSB External Resource of type Management Host.
5. Create a second ALSB External Resource for registration.
6. Register the End Point
Until this point everything is fine. Then I created one project through Oracle Service Bus console. Under that created WSDL, Proxy Service and Business Service Folders. I am using the web service created through BPM studio as teh Business Service in SB . I then created one proxy service to route the request to the Business Service.
Finally when I try to test the Proxy Service by launching test console, I get the

How to find out what is causing an error in a BPM process

I have a very basic question and I can't figure it out from help.sap.com
I have a BPM process deployed to a SAP NW Java BPM 7.40 system. It can be triggered with a web service call.
It goes into error immediately. I go to NW Administrator > Operations > Process and Tasks > Manage Processes and see the process with status "Error". But the "Error log" tab below is grayed out. I can't see any error message anywhere.
How do I find out what is wrong?

Ah, I didn't notice that on the history tab I can switch from Basic to Medium or Advanced, in Basic it was showing nothing. In Medium and Advanced it shows:

How to set a base64binary to hexBinary in BPM process

I'm developing using Oracle BPM Suite 11.1.1.5
I've the following scenario:
I need to insert a binary from a BPM process to database using a data access web service implemented with ADF Service Interface. In the process a binary value is treated like xsd:base64binary while the ADF web service treats binary values as xsd:hexBinary. Inside my BPM process I got a service task making a service call to the data access webservice and invoking an InsertPhoto method. During the process I obtain the image (as a binary) I want to insert in the database and, using associations, I map the image value to the binary field required as input for the insert method. There's no error during the implementation but after deploy and test the process I got the following error, asociated to the service task:

Done. The solution was just go to the ADF web service schema definition (xsd), look for the InsertPhoto method message and change the type of Image (the binary field) from "hexBinary" to "base64Binary" and redeploy the web service application.

BPM Process triggered externally

I have created a BPM process and I am able to test it from NWA -> Process repository. But When I am testing from WS Navigator then I am getting an error like-> Web Service returned an error. Fault Code: "(http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/)Server" Fault String: "Process start has been triggered."
But my process is started fine. Actualy I want to access this WSDL URL from other applications. Can anybody help me?

Unable to call BPM process in service bus

Hi,
I am exposing BPM process as webservice. Inside oracle service bus based on bpm process WSDL i am creating business service and proxy service. How to call BPM process? I am trying with sample client which is invoking proxy exported wsdl. But i am always getting echoed request. Any suggestions on how to call BPMProcess inside service bus?

Triggering BPM process from ECC

Dear All,
I created a WSDL in BPM and consumed it in ECC . After that created a logical port using SOAMANAGER.
While executing in the program(the code is shown below) or testing the service consumer it does not give any error. but still process not starting up.

Make sure that the user you are testing this with, has all the necessary roles and authorizations on the portal to Start a BPM Process.

Synchronous transmission without BPM process

Right now I have a S/A bridge BPM process for HTTP => XI => RFC interface.
However this is taking 5 - 8 seconds to process. On further analysing this process, we found out that WF engine is taking 4 seconds in initialize.
Can I accomplish a synchronous interface without a BPM?

If it just a HTTP>XI>RFC Scenario, it can be achieved without a BPM.
Steps in IR
1) Create DT,MT and MI(both request and response)for HTTP interface
2) Import metadata for RFC Interface into "Import Objects"
3) Create two Message Mappings
1) HTTP REq-->RFCREQ
2) RFC Res-->HTTP Res
4) Create IM for with both REq and RES maps
Steps in ID
1) Create HTTP Business Service. As HTTP Adapter is a built in adapter no CC needed.
2) Add the BS for R/3 and create the Receiver CC for RFC Adapter
3)Create Routing Rules using RD,ID,RA with Receiver CC
Use HTTP Client App to test this.

Start BPM process from ABAP report. Need some investigations.

Hi there!
I have to start a BPM process from ABAP report. I found an article http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/10d75b45-7fef-2b10-bc8e-c6012e0a9457?QuickLink=index&overridelayout=true and have done everything it describes but the process doesn't start.
What I've done:
1) Created a service proxy in SE80.
2) Created a logical port in SOAMANAGER.
3) Write a code to start a WebService in ABAP Report.
But when I start a program nothing happens, no errors.
What analysis I did:
1) See logs and traces in SOAMANAGER - there is nothing appears after I start the report.
2) Tried to test connection to my WebService in SM59 - the connection works, but it use a POST method instead of GET:
Error: com.sap.engine.services.webservices.espbase.server.additions.wsa.WSAddressingException: com.sap.SOA.wsr.030104 - Expected request method POST. Found GET.
But I think it is OK and from the report it use a right method.
3) Tried to delete a logical port - the error of communication problem appears. So it means that all settings are right.
4) No logs in NWA logs
My thoughts - if there is not any errors and no result, it can be because the user authorization. E.g. it tried to start a process by a user who doesn't have SAP_BPM_SuperAdmin role. But I can't find a way how to check what really happens. So I want to ask for a help, colleagues:).

Start a BPM process programmatically

Hi Experts,
I am trying to start my BPM process using a button event from WD JAVA. I have created a Web service and I have assigned it with my start step of process. But, problem is in WS Navigator I am able to see that service in Local JAVA AS but not in my central server. Can any body please tell me how to publish web service in central server or any other alternative to start BPM from WD JAVA.

Thanks for replying again Arafat. I am not getting any deploy or build error. What i have done till now is
1. Expand the process modeling
2. Expand service interfaces
3. Right click on WSDL Files folder and selected new WSDL.
4. Followed all the steps.
5. Deploy local development
Not getting any error here. But when i tried testing it in WS navigator i am not able to see my service there in providedsystems.
please suggest some thing.

How to invoke an other BPM asynchronous process from the BPM process

Do anyone know how to invoke other asynchronous process from the BPM process without using the Web Service URL?

Try using a Service task implemented as a Process Call. Then you select the process you want to call, set the associations or transformation and deploy it to test.
