BPM task header issues on the task page.

Hi,
we are placing just the data header on the ADF page for the task, and after deployment its failing and throwing the below error. We have nothing on the page apart from the task header.
Task is totally failing due to this object.

There is not much to see and when we are removing some of the service call we are able to again deploy.What was that you had to remove - We are here to help you voluntarily and would need information from your side to try and suggest what could have been incorrect.
Did you try what i suggested in my last post .. please let me know if you could get to what exactly I suggested.

Obtain Username from ADF Security with BPM Task Page

All,
I have a requirement to obtain the currently logged on user within a BPM task page.
I log onto either the BPM workspace or our own custom workspace that leverages the BPM Tasklist Taskflow. When navigating from a task in the tasklist, I have attempted to use an ADF EL expression to obtain the current user #{securityContext.userName}. However this seems to return anonymous. I have created a very simple test case and process to prove this, just displaying the user on the screen. However it shows as anonymous. I have done nothing special with either the task page or my workspace application to configure security aspects. Other than the standard ADF security of the custom workspace loggin.
Does anyone know if this is achievable? (My ADF skills are limited)
Interestingly, this seems to work fine on some of our 11.1.1.6.3 sever installs but not on others, including my Local Windows install. Therefore it is concidence it works on the servers (Linux).

I'm a little confused so apologies.
The steps we have followed to date as as follows:
1) Written our own login page which inplements ADF security to authenticate the user
2) Integrated the BPM task list task flow into our application as per Oracle docs.
3) Written a separate application for the task page.
4) run the application so u log into application, go to task list page, click in a bpm task in task list which launches the custom bpm task page. At this point the security context is anonymous evn though the login page shows the user logged in.
Therefore are you suggesting I need to add some additional steps to pass the context into the custom page. FYI we have no single sign on implemented.
I presume the BPM context must be set based on the logged on user as all task actions are performed as the user details are recorded.
In a simpler scenario I get the same outcome whe using the out the box bpm workspace.

how do you have a running head on just the first page in microsoft office on a mac? Im having trouble making the first page different from the rest. Thank You

Click at bottom of first Page > Menu > Insert > Section Break
Click anywhere on 2nd page:
Inspector > Layout > Section > Configuration > uncheck Use Previous Headers and Footers
Type what you want in the 1st page Header. If you have anything in the subsequent pages delete or change it.

Exposing the header info on the second page

Hello, I need help exposing the header information on the second page when the child IO component has more records on the succeeding second page. I have tried looked up the bookshelf and didn't find info on how to get this done. Can anyone please help?

Login to OTM then you can see "tools"in the top most right corner click on that and select options.In the options popup window select "Tree preference" change the number of nodes.

Blank space in the header part from the second page onwards.

I am having a 16 pages report where there the header part comes in only first page and the data flows to 16 pages
from second page onwards i am getting a empty space in the top portion (header part of the first page).
the property of repeating frames are
vertical elasticity=Yes
page protect =no
Base printing on =enclosing object.
keep with ancoring object=no.
please advice.

I think that you may find that the stuff in the header is set to print on First Page rather than All Pages. Try looking at the items and change.

ADF BPM Task Pages launched from Worklist

All,
We have built a Custom BPM Workspace application that imports adflibTaskListFlow.jar. This essentially utilises the tasklist task flow to assisy in rendering the task lists, rather than implementing our own custom tasklist based on the API's. In our implementation we have disabled the preview window (showTaskDetailsPanel = false)
A descrepancy I have noticed between our Workspace and the standard Oracle BPM workspace is when launching the task list pages, the window it launches is presented in a different manner. From out tasklist it open the window using the adf.dialog-request and renders a panel with the sizes 750 by 600. Also when the page is launched, it is launched in Modal form and renders the task list disabled. When launching from the Oracle Workspace the window is larger and use the adf.task-flow. The worklist is also not disabled so it can still optionally be used (e.g. Not Modal)
My question is there a way of configuguring the Custom solution to resemble the standard task list as the presnetation is more suited to our client.
For Example:
1) The ADF Task flow page size is larger and reduces the need to maxmimise the screen.
2) The Task list is not rendered in Modal form (Modal form occasionally leads to issues with IE and results in teh screen staying in Modal form)
Does anyone know if this is feasible and how this can be done. I'm unsure whether the task flow can be configured differently.
If not is there any way to configure the adf.dialog-request to re-size the window and make this non modal.
Your experiences would be appreciated

Sorry to reply to my own threads. If anyone doesn't have a resolutin for this, has anyone experienced issues like this with your own custom workspaces?
Also in IE, when the tasklist page is closed (prior to it launching completely) the workspace reamins in model form.

I got a problem with smartforms.
I have to display 2 internal tables in my main window.
The 1st internal table is getting filled in the 1st page, now my header of the 2nd internal table is displayed even without a single line item in the 1st page.
Now in the 2nd page both header and items are displayed.
I need a Solution to avoid the 2nd internal table's header in the 1st page if not even a single item is displayed.
please provide me a solution.

On iCloud pages how can you put a header on only the first page and not the second page?

I'm trying the do a visual report and every time I put a header on the first page it goes to the next page and if I try to delete it on the second page it deletes on the first page too.

I need the logo on the first page, but the next page(s) i do not want the logo and i do not want the indentation.

I also have the new version of Pages installed as well.

In Word, all you should have to do (with the document open, of course), is choose Insert > Page Numbers… . Choose how you want them to appear and click OK.
Make sure to save the file to retain the page number addition.

Issue with the new pages update

LOV related issue in the create page

Hi,
I have created a search page and have made 3 lovs for 3 different search items.
Everything works fine in the search page.
Then I went ahead and created a Create Page and in this page, I am trying to reuse the LOVs that I made for the Search page.
But whenever I click on the LOV in the Create Page , it takes me to the Search Page.
I am not understanding the reason for this.
I looked at all the AM Definitions and everything is properly set.
Can anyone please let me know what might be the reason for this.

so it takes me to the search page on the click of the LOV button

Problems when trying to move a paragraph with a heading to the next page

When i try to move a paragraph with a heading (generally style 2) to the next page by pressing the enter key, rather than the whole paragraph moving to the top of the next page it moves to pretty well every where but the top. i have attached a video because im sure what i have said doesn't make much sense.

i have talked to an apple technician through apple care and we came to the conclusion after reseting iwork to default settings still with no changes all i could do was completely remove iwork from my computer and try to start over. Or come to the forums to see if there is a work around.

Without commentary, or other explanation, it's difficult to determine what actions you are taking to produce the results in the video.
In the first instance, it appears that you have placed the insertion point at the beginning of the line following the header, then pressed and held return. this action pushes that line (and anything below it) down until it crosses the page boundary and jumps to a second page. That's expected behaviour.
At approximately 0:57, you have deleted the return characters, returning the first and second lines after the header to a position immediately following the header. The insertion point is then moved to the point at the beginning of the header line, and returns are inserted as before. About 1:04, a number of unreadable alert boxes appear. At 1:07, the second line below the heading moves to the second page, followed by the first line, then by the heading itself at about 1:10. Again this is expected behaviour.
Only after that are there any 'odd' behaviours, and without knowing what actions you are taking to produce those oddities, it's (at least) difficult to say what is causing the results you see.
