BPM wait step : RWB"To Be Delivered status": SXMB_MONI"Message being sent"

Hi All,
I have a BPM interface running fine since 1 year.
In this BPM I have wait step for 5 minutes.
But yesterday message is stopped on wait and not proceeding ahead.
I checked XML is good as per mapping. and in runtime wirk bench message is still in "To Be Delivered status"
and in SXMB_MONI message column Outbound Status still showing "Message being sent" even after 12 hours.(wait is only 5 minutes). And below is the trace of last message.
Please guide how to handle or restart this message. in SMQ1 & SMQ2 there are no queues showing:

Solved, few BASIS jobs were inactive in transaction code "SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING".

Hi
I have a message with status flag message being sent at the outbound status PE since 30 days. Because of this message many messages got blocked with scheduled on outbound side status.
I tried to delete work items related to the message in SWWL, but i am not able delete.
Please suggest solution

Hi velidi subba rao,
Please go to SMQ2 and right click on the entry and Select Save to LUW. It saves it to SMQ3. You will be able to reprocess it from there.
Give it a try and let me know if it worked. Also just release the queues once you have saved the message that is stuck.

BPM Wait step!

Friends,
I have BPM which has the FOR-EACH Block in it. After the first message processed I have to wait for atleast 5 seconds to process the next message in FOR-EACH Block. The default BPM wait step has minimum of 1 Minute. Is there any other way we can make to wait for x seconds?

The minimum BPM-wait duration is 1 min and cannot be decreased below that....

To Be delivered status in Message monitoring

Hi,
There are some messages in TO BE DELIVERED status in Message monitoring while selecting integration server. I could neither cancel nor resend.
any input reg. this will be appreciated.
I didn't see any messages with TO BE delivered status in adapater engine.
I could able to clear What ever messages in system error status in adapter engine by filtering based on sequential id.
I have seen this thread & link also.

Hi,
You cannot resend or cancell the messages which are in status "To Be Delivered". Check Receiver adapter File/Jdbc/ OFTP e.t.c. which is processing these messages.
Check with your Basis team to remove the lock of adapters if any. Or to process these messages you require soft restart of Java stack.
I had same kind of issue two days back with OFTP adapter messages and did soft restart of java stack with help of Basis team.

Bpm:message being sent and wait for event

Hi,gurus:
My scenario is about BPM.In the integration process I used a loop and correlation.The scenario worked successfully yesterday,but after I changed some thing,it did not work.The outbound status of the message in sxi_monitor said "message being sent".And when I clicked PE to see the workflow log, it said " wait for event".

Could you tell me how to reimport the integration progress in ID?
reimport means...delete the already imported BPM from ID.....this would affect the corresponding ID objects....save and activate....and then again run the import Integration Process wizard....create the objects once again.....seems time consuming.....hence mentioned it as the last option in the list:(
Also from SWWL delete only the instance with status as ERROR.

Message being sent and wait for event - BPM help.

Hi Experts,
I am doing BPM interface, in that i am receiving two files. Between these two files, i have set the coorelation in the BPM and included in the BPM's receive step1 and receive step2. After execution, when i look into the sxmb_moni, message status shows processed successfully, but when i look the Process engine status, it shows Message Being Sent and when i look into the BPM monitoring it shows message wait for event in the coorelation object.
I have gone through the following forum :

but everything is green and messages are set to Message being sent status.

End.
In coorelatin editor, i have specified container,involved messages and properties clearly.
I have gone through the SAP basis contents as per your previous reply.
One thing is, i have used the same design for my other interface, it is going through, but specifically for this interface i am getting error. If you could send me your mail, i will send you the exact screen shots, so that you can advise me.
Pls i need to complete this in a short period, kindly help me to come out.

Stuck in To Be Delivered Status in Message Monitoring - Adapter Engine

I have messages stuck in To Be Delivered status in Messages Monitoring. When i checked the Audito Logs, there are NO LOGS. I resent the message and now the logs indicated in the Audit Logs is:

XI BPM Wait Step

We are attempting to receive an IDoc into BPM and look at the begin date of a record (BEGDA) and based on the date in BEGDA send the record immediately (if system date <= today) or hold the record if BEGDA > system date.
We have constructed an abstract interface for the IDoc and a Wait Until Specified Time, then send the message.
The BPM does not send the message at all.
The container field for BEGDA in BPM is populated with a string (20050524) in workflow monitoring.
There is no documentation we can find on what this BPM process is looking for i.e. will the xsd string inherent with IDoc's work in this BPM or do we need to transform the field into a date?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I assume that field BEGDA is from the IDOC:
- in the Wait Step - when you click on the Date property
en Expression editor opens
- then you choose your BEGDA field right?
but
below you see your Xpath Expression to this field and the "Type" is is set to xsd:Date? or String?
if string try changing it to date because even if the BEGDA has Date type in the IDOC when you choose it in the Expression editor it becomes string but you can change it over there

To Be Delivered Status for messages

Hi All,
I've a File->PI-File scenario. If I check the status of messages under RWB->Message Monitoring->Adapter Engine, I find some mesages with status "Scheduled". The single status of the messages is "To be delivered". Manually I try to send a single message but in the Audit Log I find "Admin action: Trying to redeliver message."
The Queue "DispatchDisp" is fill with all the messages.
How can I send these messages?

Your file is stuck in a queue where failed files are waiting to get resolved. So you need to clear the queues first and then process your file.
Here is the way to clear the queues for Failed messages with System Errors.
RWB --> Adapter Engine --> show additional criteria --> Enter the QUEUE NAME in field "Conversation_ID" (for this you have to first know the queue name from details of the messages having ststaus "Holding" or "to be delivered".) --> Expand "Configure table columns" --> choose "Conversation ID" and "Sequential Number" --> display. --> sort the list by ascending order of "sequential number" --> cancel the message whose sequential number is latest and go on canceling in ascending order.

Delivering Status in Messaging system

Hi,
I am monitoring messages in messaging system. I can see some message status as "Delivering" from so many days. I am unable to delete those messages. It is not even changing to undelivered status. Please help.

Hi Gunasree,
The messages in the DELIVERING status can not be cancelled. The messages might have gone to delivering stage due to many reasons. If some earlier message got failed in the queue or the connection between the Receiver and adapter engine break...or some other reason.
For messages in the delivering status it can be cancelled by stopping the adapter engine only.

BPM Message being sent out

My Scenario 3files to BPM-XI- r3(one file)
when i run my scenarion I have a clock symbol saying " Message being sen6t out" and it does not change even aftre some time. and i also dont see a message sent out from BPM to r3

There will be something called "PE" next to the symbol. Click on that. It w2ill take you to the BPM monitoring. then click on the symbol which looks like a table on the screen. This will show you where exactly your message is stuck. Then check the errror, fix it and your scenario should work fine.

Job Status emails not being sent

Hello,
I'm hoping to find some help here after searchs of the forum and google did not find a solution.
Since yesterday I ceased receiving "Job Status" email messages when I use ePrint. The jobs do print on my HP Officejet Pro 8500A, and the "Recent Print Jobs" list in the ePrintCenter is up-to-date. I made sure that under "ePrint Settings" (on the ePrintSenter webpage) all the little boxes near the allowed sender's email addresses are ticked, indicating that job status emails should be sent. I tried restarting the printer - all without any change.
The only thing I changed yesterday was to install the "HP Printer Control" app on my iPhone and start using it. Interesting the ePrint job list there is empty...
I really like getting these verification emails. Is there any way to repair this?
On a separate topic - is there a limit to the number of allowed email addresses in the "allowed senders" list in the "ePrint Settings" section in the ePrintCenter? Is seems to save only 3 addresses.

Currently HP is in the process of migrating from ePrintCenter to HP Connected, through this migration some of their services may change or no longer exist. At this time those status emails are not a feature of the service. This does not mean that it will not be re-added in the future, but I cannot make any statment verifying if this will or will not happen. I apologize for the inconvenience that this might cause, but you should be able to still see the job status by visiting the website itself.

Messages stuck in delivering status

Hi all,
I have an idoc-xi-ftp scenario with EO quality of service. For the very first tests we set up a file CC using nfs and everything worked fine.
Today I received the info to connect to the FTP server and introduce it on the file CC. The issue comes because some kind of problem writing on the ftp server leaves the messages in status "delivering" (DLNG). While FTP guys try to fix the issue (they don't know where he tissue is right now) I have switch again to NFS with the old configuration in order to allow the users to keep testing.
But the issue comes because now the messages being sent to NFS scenario are marked as to be delivered and they are not processed.
I'm suspicious about the delivering ones and I'd like to cancel, but the cancel button doesn't allow me to do it so I'm hanged in a circle.
Any ideas?

Hi,
Yes, ABAP +Java implies a complete restart of the PI server, which is not recommended in the production environment.
Generally, this case is like a deadlock situation. We will not be able to either resend/cancel the messages in delivering.
So , best option would be to identify which server node these messages are stuck and then restart that server node.
With the server node restart these messages in Delivering are again reprocessed by the server.

Wait step in BPM stops the process permanently

Hi all.
I have a BPM with a Wait Step inside. When the process reaches the wait step the process gets locked permanently.
I execute TCODE SM12, remove the lock for the process and the process finishes without errors.
Why does the BPM hangs with the wait step? Could anybody help me with this issue.

I'm using SP12. The Self-test about BPE in RWB reports error for "Schedule Background Job for Packaging" and "Schedule Background Job for Reorganization". Details for the error say "Background job for packaging is not required".

How to add a Wait Step in BPM for the synchronous send step

Hi,
we have a scenario where in one of the step in BPM is a synchronous step which sends data to ECC system and gets the Respose .
The Requirement is that we need to add a wait for the Synchronous step in BPM as the data sent to RFC(ECC) need to get comitted before sendng the response which requires some wait time.
Currently we are getting the Response to PI from ECC where it was reported as the response is not correct.
Is this possible to add wait

No, this does not make any sense.
The BPM waits for the response anyway.
You could change the scenario to an asynchonous pair of messages.
But in my opinion the error is inside the ECC, because the response from ECC is not correct.
