Branch "On Submit: After Processing" timeout problem.

I have a page that allows users to upload a csv file. After selecting the file and clicking the 'Load' button, a Procedure is kicked off. When the file is small, there is no problem- the Procedure completes, and my Branch takes the user to the next page. However, when a large batch is uploaded, the browser timesout with the following error (IE7):
"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"
How can I correct this? For now, I would be happy to simply have the page stay in place while the file loads (this can take up to 15 minutes for large files). Ultimately, I would like to have the screen 'grey out' and display a flash like 'loading' message/animation. That way, the user won't be tempted to hit the "Load" button again.
Any help would be greatly appreciated! I've spent WAY too much time trying to fix this problem and the boss is getting anxious! ;-)

Just to add to my last-
I tried changing my HTTP Server httpd.conf settings to a higher 'timeout' setting. However, no matter what number I use, it always timesout at 5 minutes (which is 300 seconds - the default value for HTTP Server timeouts).
This makes me think I'm missing an HTTP setting someplace - or - APEX is somehow overriding the setting - or - my setting changes are not taking (I did restart the HTTP Server after the changes).
Any Apache server guru's out there who might know what's up?

In XI we have set 60 seconds as timeout for service http in transaction SMICM. Here XI works as receiver of a http call from the external system. If XI can't finish to process the info before 60 seconds a http timeout is returned to client (external aplication). That's fine. But, We have realized that the message created in XI is proccesed succesfully after by example 2 minutes. So, the client system thinks that the call was not processed but XI has processed it.
is it a problem with the configuration of service http of XI?
is there any way to be sure that a http post from external system are not processed after http timeout response?

Thank you all for your helpful responses, I have now found the solution (my own statement about the Java dispatcher not existing in PI 7.1 is what caused me to realize it):
The ICM parameter I set above was set with RZ10 in the INTEGRATION SERVER, but I did not try to set it in the non-central ADAPTER ENGINE. Because the ICM controls HTTP communication in the non-central AE for 7.1 systems, the same parameter applies (icm/server_port_0=...)
It is difficult to check the value of this parameter on a stand-alone engine like the non-central AE, but this is how I did it:
I opened the SAP Microsoft Management Console (sapmmc) instead of the SAP Management Console (sapmc) which I usually use. In the MMC when I clicked on the Instance -> ICM, it opened an administrative web interface. Logged in as webadm and then I could see the parameters just like in a WebDispatcher web admin. I saw there that the icm/server_port_0... parameter was set with default TIMEOUT and PROCTIMEOUT values.
To fix it, I had to manually alter the instance profile (/sapmnt/<SID>/SYS/profile/...) and add the above parameter. Then the 600s timeout finally ended.
my problem was that I forgot that TWO ICMs were involved in this scenario, and both had to have the parameter changed.
I hope this helps someone else who sees the same situation. I'm awarding helpful points to everyone who responded, thanks for your ideas!

I'm facing a problem to make a plsql process start only when I insert a row in a tabular form.
I created a tabular form and a after submit plsql process, as well.
The problem is that plsql process start every submit event. I want it to start only after insert a new row and submit it.
Is this possible ?

But it triggers event every submit pressure. I'd like to avoid triggering when no really actions occurs.

Could'nt delete file after processing sender file in windows environment ?

I have problem with sender file adapter in windows 2003 server, because the file adapter cannot delete the file after processing, seems like permission problem. but then i have set full controll access to the pi7adm (sap instance admin). but the problem still persist.

Of course i set delete option in my CC sender, but the fail adapter couldn delete fail without any reason ?
This is the error message from RWB Could not delete file 'K:\WORKDIR\FTP\data\data1.fer1' after processing.
like i mention before i have set full access to sap admin user to the directory. but the error still persist.

Could not archieve file after processing error in Rwb of sender adapter

Till today afternoon it is running fine.
The rpocess here is we will keep the files in FTP site. and pi polls and places the files in NFS Mount server AL11(FILE/STAGING).
Now these file will be process from FILE/STAGING to FILE/PROCESS in al11 .
Then proxy get trigerred and sends the data to sap where workflow will be trigerred.
now the issues file is getting polled from ftp and placed in file/staging folder perfectly.
Then the file needs to be moved to file/process folder using file adapter. here the issue is coming

1. check whether you have authorization for write access.
2. Check the path provided for process.
3. Ensure both the staging and the process paths are different.

Here is the way my bean works, it reads the file from disk and copy it
to temporary location and then do the upload. When it started reading, it is
fine and then when it is uploading, it is getting timeout so, it started
reading the file again, it is happening till it gets out of space error.
Please let me know what is the solution, as immediately as possible. I
would really really appreciate your help.

What service pack you are using? If you are using 451 SP8 or recent then it has
a new
plugin parameter called - "HungServerRecoverSecs". Here are the details:
HungServerRecoverSecs 10:300:600 for (min:default:max)
You should set this to a very large value. If it is less than the time the
servlets take
to process, then you will see unexpected results. This implementation takes care
of the
hung or unresponsive servers in the cluster. So the plugin waits for
HungServerRecoverSecs for the the server to respond and then declares that
server dead
and fails over to the next server.
Maybe this is what you are seeing. If the value is too low it will failover and
the POST will
happen multiple times.
Let us know if this problem persists.

After processing sender file is not deleting

Hi All,
I have configured the File-JDBC-File sync mode. the scenario is working fine upto last 2 days. but the problem is once the file picks and process its not deleting or archiving the file. but scenaio is working fine when i check in sxmb_moni but the error in sender file adaptor.
Could not delete file 'abc.dat' after processing: java.net.SocketException: Broken pipe.
in FTP server i have delete rights the other test scenario are working fine with out any error.
Please help me to reslove this issue.

yes the processing mode is delete for sender communication chennal.
I have created the other test scenario to test the processing mode is delete its working for other communication chennal. and my scenario also worked upto last 2 days. i have done delta cache and also created the new communication chennal even no luck.

Messages in Xi is less than the messages in R/3 server after processing.

I have a scenario file - Idoc.
XI picks up the file from FTP process it and sends to the R/3 server.
Now I have a problem is when I check the Data in XI using IDX5 or SXMB_MONI the no of messages in xi is less than the messages in R/3 server.
I am checking the data of the last day like 8th May from 00:00:00 to 23:59:59 in both the cases.
In R/3 I check using BD87 t code.

Ya I am also doing exactly the same . But the problem is that I am checking for yesterday datas.
In idx5 I get total of 2625 messages for orders.
When I check the same on BD87 i get 2636 messages with status 53 & 1 message with status 51.
Difference is of 11.
Now the question in how is it possible that it is picking 2625 data from FTP and after processing its sending 2637 data on R/3 server.

What is the latency (measured via ping) between the App and SQL Server? SharePoint 2010 RTM hasn't been supported for quite some time. Upgrade to SP2 and see if it resolves the issue.

Processing timeout VS. keepalive timeout

According to note 824554 there are two timeouts parameters:
icm/server_port_ < n > = ...,PROCTIMEOUT=< s > that sets the process timeout
and
icm/server_port_ < n > = ...,TIMEOUT=< s > that sets the timeout of a live process after it is complete.
If I get "Pipeline timeout condition satisfied" error in my XI system, how can I
determine what parameter between the two above, I need to increase ?
and ... why HTTP_TIMEOUT parameter in sxmb_adm referenced to TIMEOUT parameter and not to PROCTIMEOUT ?

I can give you a way out for session timeout.
Lets say you have a session variable say username which you are rendering in every page after storing in the session for the first time. Now in the action you can check for the session variable, username not null. If it is null, you can forward it to the different jsp page.

Its probably that you have added a field to an existing DSO/ODS and the system is populating that field. This is however speculation and in order to exactly tell you what the issue is, please let us know which object is it getting stuck at.
Also transporting this many objects at once is never a good idea. As a best practice, collect the objects in different TRs based on type and then import the TRs based on dependency.

RAW Images Alter When Saved After Processing in CS5 Camera RAW?

Hi,
I am currently experiencing a problem in Photoshop CS5, where after processing a CR2 RAW image file in Camera RAW, whether I then decide to open the image straight into CS5, or save as a jpeg or tiff file, the image completely alters from what I was previously seeing in the Camera RAW window?
The saved jpeg/tiff, or image now shown in CS5 is now very tinted, where objects that were perfectly white in the Camera RAW window are now a dirty yellow colour.
I was just wondering if there was any advice any of you could give me as to what the problem might be?
I have made sure that both CS5 and the Camera RAW window are both set to sRGB, but it has had no effect on the problem.

I have been trying to figure out if I made any accidental changes in Photoshop. So far I haven't found anything. That might simply mean that I don't know all of the places to look. I have called Adobe and been on the support websites and haven't gotten a clear answer. I save as a JPEG with an embedded color file sRGB. Any suggestions on where else to look for accidental changes?
Everyone seems to agree that iPhoto doesn't work well with Adobe and should be avoided in the workflow. Truly, I had no idea! I just like the simplicity. The Mac store never mentioned problems between the two but did offer to help me purchase Aperture. I will use Bridge from now on to view the images and manage folders.

I DVD will freeze right after Process movie

Hi I Have been trying to burn a movie I created, and the iDVD freazes right after process movie, what can I do?

How much time did you give iDVD to burn?
I had a project back in October that took 29 hours to burn.
Lots of voice overs and music changes.
It appears to freeze but really does not.
Several threads on this early in iDVD 6 life.
New update seems to fix the freeze problem but still takes forever on some projects.
