Breadcrumb Navigation Redirects to Webpage

I can get access to iTunesU as Administrator using the Perl script provided on Apple's site. However, when I create levels of courses and welcome screens, I am having problems navigating using the breadcrumb buttons on top. When I press the second button (what should be my site root, one up from iTunesU) it launches a browser and loads itunesu?destination=institution.edu and does not navigate to the root screen within itunes. This is also happens when logging in with student access as well. Any advice is appreciated.

I think Ben has this right. If you're just starting to mess with Apple's Perl script, you're likely looking at a credentialling problem (or a timeout if you wait for a long time to click on that breadcrumb).
Bear in mind that the breadcrumb contains only as much credentialling info as you provide. So if you're not really getting full access to your site ... say, just public access ... clicking on the breadcrumb would likely redirect you back to your login webpage. It is for this reason that I suspect you're not getting in as an admin ... or that there's something not quite right in your credentialling when logging in as an admin.
Have you tried supplying the debug suffix as a test to see if you're passing credentials to iTunes U properly?

Breadcrumb navigation in console extension not working

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to get the breadcrumb navigation working in my console-extension for wls 9.2.
Currently it is displayed like this:
Home > com.bea.console.handles.JMXHandle%28%22No+context+provided+for+Loggers%22%29 ("Loggers" is the definitonLabel of my netuix:page element).
As described on [url http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs92/console_ext/addcontrols.html#wp1078025]page 6-15 of the "Extending the Admin Console" guide I added the <netuix:meta name="breadcrumb-context" content="handle" /> element exactly as in [url http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs92/console_ext/addcontrols.html#wp1078078]listing 6-7.
Do you have any idea what goes wrong here or any pointers what I might be missing?

Chariot, unless someone decompiles that swf we cannot see
your code or how you constructed it. I did do that and took a look
but not everyone can do that. In the future, you can either post
the FLA or use the "Attach Code" button to show what you've done.
1.) first thing I noticed was that your HIT area on your
buttons is the text itself. If you make a rectangle on the HIT
frame only that is slightly larger than your text, you won't have
such jumpy behavior when mousing over or trying to find the "sweet
spot" that will actually click. You've made invisible buttons, I
see. It's the same concept. That way, you can get rid of the
invisible buttons altogether.
2.) Not sure why you have several layers on your buttons.
Looks like you have a layer per letter. They can all be on the same
layer. :)
3.) Try to put your button code on the main timeline instead
of on the buttons themselves. If you're curious why, read
this
article.
4.) You only need one arrow button... not a different one for
each section. Again, place the code on the main timeline and
specify at each keyframe what you want "leftArrow_btn" or
"rightArrow_btn" to do. I just made up those instance names but
they'll do whatever you tell them to do even if it's different than
what you told them to do before.
Other than that, I don't see what you are referring to.
There's a lot of cleaning up to be done. That will probably fix
some errors. I've posted an example of how it might work for you
here.

How to switch off breadcrumb-navigation in EP 6.0 ?

I've got the request to switch off the s.c. breadcrumb-Navigation. Is there any possibility to remove this ?
In EP5 there was possible to let them disapear by changing the font color, this seems not to work in EP6 as some parts of the links cannot be controlled separatly.
Has anybodoy done this and could share it here ?

Yes there is a way.
The breadcrumb is added as an iview to the innerpage, which again is added as a page in the default framework page.
To remove:
1. Go to PortalAdministration->Portal Content
2. Expand the portalcontent->Portal users->standard portal users folder and edit the default framework page
3. Select the inner page and click edit (I cant find the innerpage in the content structure)
4. Hide an iview call Page toolbar (I think)
If this is not the active default framework page, you can make it the default by going into Systemadministration->Portal display->Desktop and display rules and edit the default portal desktop from the same place as 2.

i.e. from HTTPS to HTTP .
To resolve this issue you can you below options :
1. Change the IE setting which will allow the navigation from secure to non-secure environment.
2. Use same protocol either HTTP or HTTPS (Basis Team will help you in this )
3. Use correct SSL certificate (Basis Team will help you in this)
The First option is very easy , you just need to change the IE setting , Which is explained in

How can i remove the breadcrumb navigation tree that appears just below the top level navigation fro ESS. I have seena few blogs af dound that the changea are done at the coding level. Here we are using the standard ESS application and may not have access to the codesin WDJ. Is there any property of view/page/workset through which i can remove this navigation.

This has nothing to do with ESS/MSS coding.
You need to change your Page Title bar....which is part of your portal framework/desktop.
Possible properties will be :
Show Breadcrumb
Show History List
However, the challenge here will be to make these changes available only for ESS. As same desktop is being used for ESS role as well as other roles.
For this you will be required to change its PAR file (com.sap.portal.navigation.pagetoolbar.PageToolbar) in NWDS.
I am not sure even if this will be possible or not...!

What does it mean when you prevent someone from redirecting a webpage?

I was surfing a traffic exchange site when I received a note from Firefox that it had prevented someone from redirecting the webpage that I was viewing. I would like to understand the significance of this action. I feel as if I have been protected from something, but I don't know what. Can you inform me?

A red check means the text wasn't sent (maybe the number has been changed, they have texts blocked, there was a network problem).

I think you are not using the correct FQDN, could you kindly fix it?
Please look at note 654982, for the requirement of FQDN. After you have
set it, please kindly restart the Solman system and make sure it is
loaded correctly. (run report RSPFPAR to double check.)
The FQDN mean (Full Qualified Doman Name), which is set in parameter of
the instance profile icm/host_name_full
-please make sure All PCs including solman server itself can ping the
FQDN, and the port 8001 is not blocked
- Then make sure the browser in client PC can be load the URL as per
below. (set proxy, network ports, etc correctly, this you have to ask
your network colleague)

Lync Server 2010 Control Panel - "navigation to the webpage was canceled"

Hi All,
I just installed Lync Server 2010. The SQL 2008 is installed on a separate box and both servers are on Windows 2008 R2.
However, when I try to start the "Lync Server 2010 Control Panel" i get a blank page with the following message "Navigation to the webpage was canceled"
The Installation had no errors and went well. But I did have one problem in the Topology Builder where is asked to create a File Share and asked for FQDN and File Share. I entered "Server1.domain.com" and File Share "Poolshare" but it did
not like it and error with a red cross saying..
"FQDN Server1.domain.com is already used in this topology"
So in the end I just change it to "Server1" then published and ran the installation sucessfully and all services are started OK
Any idea? could it be that the file share is not using FQDN?

I have reveiwed this topic but have not been able to fing my answer. I am getting the same result when attempting to connect to the Lync Control Panel and the webpage saying "navigation was canceled..". Here are the details, any assistance is greatly
appreciated:
I have an existing OCS 2007 R2 server setup in the domain. My domain is company.CORP. It is a Standard Edition server for IM and Presence only. There is an Edge server as well and I have PIC enabled. My sipinternaltls SRV record to the current SE Front End.
All works great. There is a SIP.company.com record in the domain too. I am standing up LYNC 2010 environment on HyperV and ran topology builder twice because I had to fix a name. (I see in Mac's comment that I need to run step2 again. Why is that?)
My Share is on the HyperV server that is hosting the Front End server but they are completely different servernames. My topology published successfully and create some data in the File Share and the Backend DB was created and populated with tables. The certificates
were successfully applied and all services started right up. The latest version of Silverlight was installed and the server was rebooted. Still the darn White Page with 'Navigation to the webpage was canceled'.
I am able to go into IIS and launch the Control Panel successfully by browsing on the "cscp" directory for the Lync Server Internal Web Site. I can also connect to the Control Panel by using the
httpS://admin.company.com/cscp but I have to put 'cscp ' in the path. I cannot browse AD using the Control Panel to find my TestLyncUser1 account but I can find the account, and successfully enable
the account, using the Lync Management Shell. The account was enables and was able to successfully login to the Lync FE server (manually, since the SRV record point to OCS).
This is where I am stuck. Why won't it launch from the Programs File Tool and why do I have to designate the CSCP in the URL? I am Not sure why I couldn't browse AD successfully in the Control Panel yet I could with Powershell. I will begin troubleshooting
that issue next. Could it be because my sip.company.com record points to a different OCS Pool? Or my SRV internaltls record points to the OCS Pool? Microsoft supports standing up the two environments side-by-side and migrating but maybe I am missing something.
Any ideas anyone?
I want to add that I will be having a FE Pool and have named and published my second FE but I have not installed it. The Pool VIP is created in DNS and only pointing to FE1 right now.

How to get GUID of nav predecessor in Breadcrumb navigation

Hello,
we have implemented a Z-Component in which we can navigate from other standard components via i.e. follow-up transaction.
I have the requirement to get the GUID of the transaction from which we came from.
For example we are working at an offer and now navigate to the Z-Component via follow-up. I would now need the GUID of the offer we were working on, before we navigated away.
I suppose that somewhere in the framework the navigation stack is saved, because a click on the back button within the webclient brings me back to exactly the offer I had opened before.
Any idea how to get to that navigation information?

Hello Victor,
I think the best to share information between components is to bind to component controller or pass data via outbound/inbound plugs. Playing with breadcrumb history (in my opinion) won't help too much but if you want to investigate a bit in this area, take a look at interface if_bsp_wd_history_manager_disp, the reference to which you can get via
lr_history_access = me->view_manager->get_history_manager_display( ).

ICWC: Breadcrumb(Navigation DDLB)

Hii All,
I have created some custom views in ICWC of CRM 4.0 after assigning these custom views with the viewsets ( standard ) via design time repository.. i see that the breadcrumb( DDLB above the main viewset, for navigation between different viewsets ) are not working fine!.
Can anybody give any input/hint?..
or else can anydoby tell where this particular DDLB is implemented?..
or any customizing table maintains al the viewsets in the crm_ic application?..

Since BreadCrumbstep has to be added to BreadCrumb and BreadCrumb step extends IWDUIElement , you can create the steps and add to the breadcrumb...
and once you add handle the onselect event and do the parameter mapping , and it is ready to use
