Breadcrumbs - entry with multiple parents?

I have a page that branches out into two pages depending upon a choice, and right after then connects back to the flow.
like
                  .--> which cologne? ---,
are you m/f? ---|                          |--> what packaging? --> what address?
                  `--> which perfume? ---'The bread crumbs do not allow you to have more than one parent... so while i can branch off to two lower pages, if they come back together then the parent has to be either cologne or perfume, or i have to make seperate pages, or use conditional showing on the one page for perfume and colgone and choose a generic name.
Is there any way to create breadcrumbs with multiple parents? Is this a feature i should request for the next version?
Cheers,
Alex

Hope this helps any one else trying to do this
P14 real parent (view) --> P17
P15 alt parent (edit) --> P17
P200 dummy page
step 1.
create dummy page to hold variables P200
create two items P200_NAME, P200_TARGET
step 2.
Edit the parent page 1 say P14
edit the page to pass a name (say 'view' for instance) into P200_NAME and pass another value (14) into P200_TARGET
Test this to make sure the session gets the values
step 3.
go to the real target page say P17 and take a note of the parent
step 4.
go to the parent page (there can omly be one)
step 5.
edit the bread crumb
change the short name to &P200_NAME
change the target to &P200_TARGET.
step6
go to the other patent (not referenced by the breadcrumb) P15 get it to pass values to P200 (on rout to P17)
&P200_NAME (say 'edit')
&P200_TARGET (15)
because the target only has one real parent you dont have to do anything to the alternate parent breadcrumb.
set these items P17_PROPERTY_NAME,P200_TARGET,P200_NAME
with these values &P16_SLPN.,&P16_PROPERTY_NAME.,16,&P16_NAME.

  • Endless loop when clicking on ADF TreeTable Node with multiple Parents

    Using Jdev 11.1.2.2.0.
    I have been using the ADF Tree Table to render a parent/child relationship table(using EO's and VO's); this table allows a child node to have many parents. I've followed the example from Code Corner #32 "How to create a tree table from a single View Object and how to access selected rows" but my example is a little different. I have a Hierarchy Table that lists it's TopNode and then I have a Relationship (parent/child) table that includes the relationships for that hierarchy. I've created the ViewLinks between the Hierarchy VO and the Relationship VO and everything shows up fine in the ADF BC Tester.
    The tables look like the following (Note: the node 5 has multiple parents (4&3)
    Hierarchy Table:
    ID NAME TOPNODEID
    1 HIER1 1
    PARENTCHILDTABLE
    PARENT_ID CHILD_ID
    1 2
    1 3
    2 4
    4 5
    3 5
    -1 1
    The View Links I have setup are the (TopNodeID to ChildID... 1 to 1) as well as the (Child_Id to Parent_ID.. 1 to *).
    I added a tree table to a jsf page; I setup the bindings correctly with the Hierarchy vo as the top level object and the relationship VO as the parent/child (self referencing) table.
    However, when I start expanding some of the nodes at runtime in the JSF page and when I click on the child 5 an hour glass appears and it seems to be in an endless loop. Has anyone seen this before or anyone know why this gets into an endless loop.

    No exceptions occur but I was able to turn on logging (oracle.adf*) and this shows up. This is only a portion of what gets logged as it seems to log the same thing over and over while in the endless loop. The loop is intermittent too; it doesn't occur all the time. It seems to occur when I click on one of the duplicate nodes OR try to expand one of the duplicate nodes and/or one of their parents.

  • Select For all entries with multiple keys

    Dear Developers,
    im writing a program which reads the last the last mseg entry with bwart 101 and bwart 201 an writes it into different fields of a table. In dependance of the bwart the max-value of mkpf-budat should be moved into field wedat or wadat.
    At the moment i use this coding:
    loop at gt_daten assigning <fs_daten>.
        select distinct max( budat ) from wb2_v_mkpf_mseg2 into <fs_daten>-wedat
          where matnr_i = <fs_daten>-matnr
            and werks_i = <fs_daten>-werks
            and lgort_i = <fs_daten>-lgort
            and bwart_i = '101'.
        select distinct max( budat ) from wb2_v_mkpf_mseg2 into <fs_daten>-wadat
        where matnr_i = <fs_daten>-matnr
          and werks_i = <fs_daten>-werks
          and lgort_i = <fs_daten>-lgort
          and bwart_i = '201'.
      endloop.
    wb2_v_mkpf_mseg2 is a view combining mkpf an mseg by primary keys.
    Searching the internet i read, using FOR ALL ENTRIES should be prefered to selectstatements in loops.
    So i tried:
    *selectstatement
    select budat matnr_i werks_i lgort_i bwart_i from wb2_v_mkpf_mseg2 into table lt_mseg for all entries in gt_daten
        where matnr_i = gt_daten-matnr
          and werks_i = gt_daten-werks
          and lgort_i = gt_daten-lgort
          and ( bwart_i = '101' or bwart_i = '201' )
    *Substitute the MAX( )-Function
      sort lt_mseg descending by matnr werks lgort bwart budat.
      delete adjacent duplicates from lt_mseg comparing matnr werks lgort bwart.
    *Differ between wedat and wadat
      loop at gt_daten assigning <fs_daten>.
        loop at lt_mseg assigning <fs_mseg>
          where matnr = <fs_daten>-matnr
            and werks = <fs_daten>-werks
            and lgort = <fs_daten>-lgort.
          case <fs_mseg>-bwart.
            when '101'.
              <fs_daten>-wedat = <fs_mseg>-budat.
            when '201'.
              <fs_daten>-wadat = <fs_mseg>-budat.
          endcase.
        endloop.
    Even in the dev-system this takes twice the time of the "nested" selects.
    Imho this is because of the internal OR interpretation of the FOR ALL ENTRIES-statement and the size of the result.
    Can somebody give me a hint, how to tune this code?
    Select Inner join should be difficult because the target field differs, dependent of the value in bwart...
    Thanks in advance!

    I understand that you are trying to capture the maximum value of posting date MKPF-BUDAT for movement types 101 and 201 for each combination of material, plant and storage location.
    Few things, that makes the below coding more efficient at both application and database level and I confirmed this on an IDES sandbox
    1. Along with MKPF and MSEG, there is another table WBGT, in the view WB2_V_MKPF_MSEG join and also WBGT has select condition restrictions imposed on its fields. So if this restriction impacts your selection you may want to do a INNER JOIN of MSEG with MKPF only (with MSEG as leading table, as it has an active secondary index with MATNR, WERKS, LGORT and BWART ) and also there won't be overhead from the unnecessary join with WBGT table whose fields you are not using.
    2. The below SORT on lt_mseg will ensure that the record having greatest BUDAT will be at the top of all rows (least index) for each combination of MATNR, WERKS, LGORT and BWART.
    3. DELETE ADJACENT DUPLICATES will ensure that only the top row (having greatest BUDAT) remains in the table lt_mseg for each combination of MATNR, WERKS, LGORT and BWART. This will ensure that subsequent READs with BINARY SEARCH will always and efficiently read the row with maximum value of BUDAT for each unique combination of MATNR, WERKS, LGORT and BWART.
    4. The below logic will require more memory (even though it is more efficient performance wise) compared to direct SELECT with MAX for each MATNR, WERKS, LGORT and BWART in a LOOP the way you were doing before. So if the size of lt_mseg is causing memory issues, your logic with aggregate function MAX at database level will be your only option.
    So, I propose you revise your coding like below for most optimal results
    CHECK NOT gt_daten[] IS INITIAL.
    *selectstatement
    *SELECT budat matnr_i werks_i lgort_i bwart_i
    *  FROM wb2_v_mkpf_mseg2
    *  INTO TABLE lt_mseg
    *    FOR ALL ENTRIES IN gt_daten
    *    WHERE matnr_i = gt_daten-matnr
    *      AND werks_i = gt_daten-werks
    *      AND lgort_i = gt_daten-lgort
    *      AND ( bwart_i = '101' OR bwart_i = '201' ).
    * The below SELECT is more economical than the one commented above
    SELECT mkpf~budat mseg~matnr mseg~werks mseg~lgort mseg~bwart
      FROM mseg INNER JOIN mkpf
        ON mseg~mblnr = mkpf~mblnr AND
           mseg~mjahr = mkpf~mjahr
        INTO TABLE lt_mseg
          FOR ALL ENTRIES IN gt_daten
            WHERE mseg~matnr = gt_daten-matnr
              AND mseg~werks = gt_daten-werks
              AND mseg~lgort = gt_daten-lgort
              AND ( mseg~bwart = '101' OR mseg~bwart = '201' ).
    *Substitute the MAX( )-Function

  • Glossary entries with multiple files

    I'm working on a book with hundreds of pictures. It was taking minutes to save versions, etc., so I broke it up into ± 300MB files.
    Question: If I add glossary entries to each file, will they merge when I lump all the files together to do the final publish? Or must I wait until the files are combined?
    Thanks.

    Not sure what your 'merge' process is, sorry. Always confirm glossary entries have been updated before publishing.

  • Crystal Reports 2008 - can't see Salesforce objects with 2 parent objects

    I am running CR 2008 SP 1 and accessing Salesforce to create reports.  I just discovered that 2008 does not make available any Salesforce objects that have more than one parent.  This is only an issue if you define multiple relationships in Salesforce as Parent/Child.  Lookup relationships are not an issue.
    I am using CR XI for another client and it can see these objects without problem.  Is this a design issue or is it a bug with CR 2008?
    Hs anyone else encountered this issue?  Thoughts on ways to access these object short of redesigning my Salesforce data?
    BTW, I and using 2008 SP1 because SP2 does not work when accessing Salesforce.
    Thanks, John

    It turns out that the ability to access Salesforce objects with multiple parents was included in release 11 of the Salesforce API.  CR 2008 SP1 used release 9 of the API.  CR SP2 uses release 13 of the API.  Once they get SP2 fixed for the Salesforce interface, this issue will go away.

  • Populating dropdown list with entries in multiple text boxes?

    I'm creating a form that needs to be simple to use and complete.  I would like to be able to populate a drop-down list with entries the user puts into text boxes.  Can this be done?
    For more detail:
    In one location is a table, the use will type into a text box a Project Name, then other information such as location and total acres.
    In another location I've got a table where the user will enter the offerings from each project they listed in the 1st table.  It is a long table as it is, I cannot combine the two (will not fit on one page if I do combine them).
    Instead of making the user type in the project names multiple times, I'd like to be able to take the project names the users input (from table one) and have those entries automatically populate the dropdown list in the second table.
    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!

    Not exactly a find and replace but you can do it.
    Select the text frames yu want to change the colors using the shift key to click select the frames.
    Then go to Edit>Edit Color>Recolor Art
    You wll see a dialog with red and black bars along side two shorter bars click the shorter bars to select a New Color a color picker will appear you can use the swatches or the color mixer.
    There is a live preview /so you will see the change in case you want to pick a different gray, of course you can always go back to the recolor art dialog.
    I am afraid you manually have to select text frames with multiple colors in order to accomplish what you want but the method above I believe is the only want to change the colors.
    This video shows how the dialog works but pretend the one frame I did not select is another color.

  • HT201269 how do I merge multiple duplicate contact entries with cell home and e-mail entries

    how do I merge multiple duplicate contact entries with cell home and e-mail entries?

    Try linking cards:
    Open any contact you want to merge, tap on Edit and look at the bottom part of it.  You'll find 'Link Cards' and from there you may select the contact you want to link with the one you're looking at. So if you have:
    Contact 1: John A (job)
    Contact 2:  Business Name (who is also John A but you saved it as a different contact)
    Contact 3: Something else that's also John A
    You can link all three cards into one.  If you choose to, you may unlink them at any time, just tap Edit and then the red circle. Your contacts won't be deleted, but they won't appear under the same ID anymore.

    how to delete forecast entries with zero current and original qty from a particular forecast set which span across multiple forecasts

    Hi,
    There is no way to delete those records selectively from front end.
    The best possible way is to delete the records from MRP_FORECAST_DATES tables from backend.
    Hope that helps!!

  • Multiple parents with many children in same table -get all generations

    Hi
    I have parent and child columns in my table. The child can have multiple parent keys and the parent can have multiple child keys.
    So every child can be a parent of further more children. So every generation can be considered to be a level. I need to display them in hierarchical order. First greatest parent, next level all its childres, next level, their children and so on. Its like a recursve pattern. How may I achieve this? I do not know anything about how many levels there are - could be any number.
    Any help?

    Hi
    This link was of great help and I am getting the hierarchy.
    My next question related to the same thing is -
    I have the following query:
    select distinct level,
    sys_connect_by_path(child_id,'/') Path
    from table1
    connect by prior child_id= parent_id
    What I need is getting the name beloging to the id and display that instead of the id itself. But then would that mean I am changing the connect_by_path itself?
    Example:
    id
    2     /25/016
    2     /25/06
    2     /20/014
    In place of these numbers 25, 016 etc, I want their corresponding names that are stored ina nother table table2. How may I achieve that?
    Thx!

  • Problems with Multiple Photo Galleries

    Hey all, I am having issues with multiple photo galleries. The problem is, iWeb will randomly delete old photo libraries when new ones are made.
    My workflow is each blog entry has its own Photo Library attached to it, so i really would love to be able to keep this functionality.
    Does anyone have any clues as to why they are getting deleted? They literally just vanish from the entries in iWeb...
    Many thanks, Matt

    mattperrott wrote:
    Each blog entry has a iweb photo gallery attached to it. I create these by duplicating a previous blog entry, and changing the details as well as the photos contained inside.
    Matt ~ Even without adding such complexity, many people have problems with their iWeb blog. So even if someone helps you to solve this problem, you may then be back with a different iWeb blog problem: Lost all your blog entries or all your comments or unable to publish, etc.
    mattperrott wrote:
    Any thoughts on why this might happen?
    The simple answer is that Apple's implementation of iWeb's blog appears to be buggy. Every day on these forums you'll likely see a couple of problems with iWeb's blog, often "solved" like this: +"I deleted my blog page, and was able to successfully publish the site"+. Also, if you ever have to re-publish everything (say, after upgrading iWeb) you'll wish you had a web-based blog.
    mattperrott wrote:
    This isnt a problem currently but if i ever need to republish my entire site it is a potential killer, especially as it grows...
    The person who posted the following thread had similar concerns saying: +"...I get the feeling when this gets bigger, it'll outgrow iWeb's capability."+ Read his solution here:
    _To blog or not to blog_
    And to link to an external blog from iWeb's navbar:
    Create a blank internal page titled "Blog" (Actually you can name the page whatever you want.) Then in that Blog page add an HTML Snippet with the following code:
    <script type="text/javascript">
    parent.window.location = "http://www.yourblogname.com"; // change this to your own URL
    </script>
    ...Once published, clicking on "Blog" in the navbar will immediately redirect to your external Blog page. (Thanks to Cyclosaurus for the code).
    By the way, rather than posting your URL in these forums like this:
    www.local-hero.com.au
    ...include the prefix to make it conveniently clickable:
    http://www.local-hero.com.au

  • How can a family with multiple existing accounts use Home Sharing?

    I'd like to use the new Home Sharing feature, but it appears to be restricted to families in which all of the family members share a single user account.
    We already have separate accounts for each family member. Is there some way for us to use Home Sharing without abandoning most of our existing accounts, along with all of the purchases made by those accounts? I don't think anyone in this situation would be willing to do that.

    Eh. I am not too sure since I have not messed with it much but I do have a great deal of experience with multiple accounts. Each computer can be authorized for multiple accounts. As can iPods. iPods can sync songs/videos/apps from multiple accounts as long as the computer is authorized with them. What I have set up here, is I buy my stuff I want, my parents buy what they want and so do my brothers. When my bro gets something I want I just move it to my computer. That way all our accounts are separate, but if there is something I want I can get it. Also, since the music no longer has DRM, it won't matter. It will play on any computer. What you should see is if you can just do the shared library with multiple accounts. Then if you don't have videos or such, you can get apps or music. Hope this helps!

  • Error while posting Customer with Multiple sales areas using DEBMAS05.

    Dear experts,
    We are generating IDOCS vis SAP DS for posting Customer master. The message type used is DEBMAS and basic type is DEBMAS05.  we have a requirement to create 1 customer with multiple sales areas. However, we are ending up with a strange error:  "Fill all required fields SAPMF02D 0111 ADDR1_DATA-NAME1". Despite the IDOC going into status 51, the customer gets created and the 1st sales area too. the 2nd sales area however is not created!  The IDOC data definitely contains Name1, otherwise the customer would not have been created in the first place.
    As the error message is related to the Address data, I also explored upon exploring this erorr further on the lines of Central Address management where in the ADRMAS and DEBMAS have to be passed together(IDOC Serialiization).  OSS Note (384462)  provides further details about this. One Important point from the note is:
    "As you have to specify the logical name of the sending system among other things, SAP is not able to make any default settings in the standard systems. When you use the serialization groups delivered as a standard by SAP, the address objects are imported before the master objects.Thus the sequence address data before master objects must only be adhered to if one of the following points applies to your application:
    Such fields are set as required entry fields that are only provided by the BAS in the Customizing of the customer or vendor master.
    For your customers, contact persons exist to which a private address or a different business address is assigned.".
    This is not the case in our situation, as we do not have required entry fields in customizing that are only provided by the BAS, so the error is all the more confusing and I am not too sure what the cause is.
    If someone have experienced the same issue before and have found a solution to it, kindly help out.

    I have found the cause and solution to this problem.
    This error ”Fill all required fields SAPMF02D 0111 ADDR1_DATA-NAME1” and other similar errors like “Fill all required fields SAPMF02D 0111 ADDR1_DATA-SORT1“ which occurrs during the IDOC posting when there are more than one sales area or company code occurs when the customer number range is set up for Internal numbering. This means, that the number gets generated only at the time of save and upon debugging the IDOC, we found out that after creating the customer and the first sales area/company code record, the segment E1KNA1M is cleared completely! This is the reason, it throws an error which points to a mandatory KNA1 field as missing. (Like NAME1, SORT1 etc.)
    This was resolved by splitting the IDOC into 2.
    The solution is to First post only the KNA1 segment and create the customer.
    In the second step, pass the IDOC with all other segments along with E1KNA1M, but pass only KUNNR in E1KNA1M and the rest of the fields in E1KNA1M as “/”:  you would have got the KUNNR after the first step.
    Important note: This requirement to split the IDOCs does not occur when the customer number is known upfront. (Meaning cases where the customer number is externally generated) I also tested this and created a customer with external numbering and I was able to post more than 1 sales area with the same IDOC.
    I noticed multiple threads with the same issue, but none of it had a concrete answer. I hope this information will be useful for anyone facing similar problems.

  • How to create a ListDefinition with multiple ContentTypes

    Hi,
    i need to create a list definition with two contenttypes. When is use the Visual Studio SharePoint ListDefinition from ContentType, i am only able to add one contenttype to the list. But i have two contenttypes. I don't know how to add them to a ListDefinition
    (DocumentLibrary).
    This is my Contenttype:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <Elements xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/">
    <Field ID="{1D6C3BF2-5269-4892-B147-659A5EE36BED}" Name="MyChoiceField" DisplayName="MyChoiceField" Type="Choice" Group="MyBox" Hidden="False" Required="False">
    <CHOICES>
    <CHOICE>-/-</CHOICE>
    <CHOICE>Choice1</CHOICE>
    <CHOICE>Choice2</CHOICE>
    </CHOICES>
    </Field>
    <!-- Parent ContentType: Document (0x0101) -->
    <ContentType ID="0x010100d7d016b413b244e8a6a185cf8b0afd3b"
    Name="MyBox Document"
    Group="MyBox"
    Description=""
    Inherits="False"
    Version="0">
    <FieldRefs>
    <FieldRef ID="{1D6C3BF2-5269-4892-B147-659A5EE36BED}" />
    <FieldRef ID="{fa564e0f-0c70-4ab9-b863-0177e6ddd247}" Hidden="TRUE" Required="FALSE" DisplayName="_hidden" />
    </FieldRefs>
    </ContentType>
    <!-- Parent ContentType: Folder (0x0120) -->
    <ContentType ID="0x012000cdce40c9703b4b5aa7a84044a040c005"
    Name="MyBox Folder"
    Group="MyBox"
    Description=""
    Inherits="False"
    Version="0">
    <FieldRefs>
    <FieldRef ID="{1D6C3BF2-5269-4892-B147-659A5EE36BED}" />
    </FieldRefs>
    </ContentType>
    </Elements>
    Is there a way to create a minimal schema.xml with these contenttypes manually or what are the steps to build a listdefinition with multiple contenttypes?

    You can define them in the schema.xml of list definition.
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <List xmlns:ows="Microsoft SharePoint" Title="Something" Direction="$Resources:Direction;" Url="Something" BaseType="1" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/" EnableContentTypes="TRUE">
    <MetaData>
    <ContentTypes>

    <ContentTypeRef ID="0x0100707A19136D594D7784D9E30A5FBA58C1002D7898DEE60A4FDEBD3CD1EFAB4427A000678E9CDB185C4DCEAC41F865393A1234" />
