Broker online sign-up requires Firefox 18 for set-up, cautions against update; have 34.0.5. Can I get Firefox 18 too exclusively for use of online acct?
This is a new broker to me, and I am setting up online access. They require Firefox 18 for macs. I'd like to use the updated Firefox in general, but for whatever reason they want this old version for their software. Is this possible to have both?
Quite honestly, run away from that broker as fast as you can, without even looking over shoulder!
Firefox 18 is damn close to 2 years old - and they expect you to do online transactions with a two year old browser?
I guess online security for their clients isn't a priority for them ....
Honestly, if they don't want to support Mac OSX users - or Firefox users ''(whichever is the case for them recommending Firefox 18)'', they should just say "thank you for your interest" and tell you that their IT staff isn't talented enough to properly support the computer / browser that you choose to use.

This problem isn't on this system - but a system I support at our church.
When FireFox is started the first display is the message "A script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding. You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete. Script: chrome://tavgp/content/libs/include.js:1101". There are two option buttons - Continue and Stop Script. Selecting either button closes that window - BUT the FireFox window is never displayed.Do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before (re)installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.

If possible uninstall your current Firefox version to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
*Do NOT remove "personal data" when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords including data in profiles created by other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure NOT to remove personal data when you uninstall Firefox as that will remove all Firefox profile folders and you lose your personal data.
If you keep having problems then also create a new profile.

In october 2012 I´ve bought a bundle pack with Photoshop Elements 11 and Premiere 11. After a hard disk crash i was about to reinstall them both but my wife has trown the envelope in the garbage... = No Serial number available!!
I´ve registered the serial number for Photoshop Element 11 on Adobe, but not the key for Premiere (they are on the same dvd).

I bought a 3G and a 4G in Australia while working there for 3.5 years. I have since returned permanently to the USA and would like to use one of these, understanding the GSM requires using AT&T? When in Australia, I took these iphones to the Apple Store and they unlocked the 3G for me, knowing that I would be using it in the USA - but when I took it into the AT&T store in California, the iphone would not work with AT&T's SIM card. May I unlock the 3G and/or 4G somewhere in the USA with Apple's blessing?
If your phones were unlocked by your carrier, they should work with AT&T SIM cards. You'll have to sign up for an iPhone phone and data plan with AT&T, but the SIM should definitely work. Go to an AT&T store and have them set up your account and activate your SIM there.
AT&T will NOT be able to unlock your Australia-purchased phones. -
We just got 2 iPad air today and Set up both with the same Apple ID, now I'm getting FaceTime and messages for my 12 yr. old. Do I have to set up a separate Apple ID for her to avoid this?
It's a trust issue. You can set them up so you don't receive each other's messages as long as you each have your own email address.
The trust issue is the fact that either of you can change the separation at any time via Settings by checking the appropriate (inappropriate?) email address.
To be absolutely sure you can never receive each other's messages will require two Apple IDs. -
I have tried all can not get firefox to search for website
I run Windows XP.
It all began with the fiollowing error - "could not load xpcom. From there I redownloaded and installed - the foillowing scenario followed on this.
I can not get firefox to connect to the net.
I re downloaded and installed firefox, 3 times, no difference.
My home page shows on my desk top screen - but it clearly does not work as it will not do any searches and connect to other websites.
When trying to use in "Options" it closes the firefox home page, as though I had exited it.
I have now spent 2 days reading and trying all as given in firefox help and community forum - nothing I read fits the bill, or has been of any assistance.
The search field is empty and I can not get it to accept a search engine name like google or any other. I know firefox has a choice - but the pull down choice menu does not open.
I am now at a total loss and desperate to get back to work having wasted 22 days already trying to repair same.
I tried the automatically install add ons as per this very "automatically add" button, but it says Firefox can not modify the required file.
Please help I am desperate!As I said, I have read about all.
There is no solution there for me - I am not an internet guru and must be honest some of the solution provided seem high tech and beyond me - they refer to certain aspects of the system which I do not see on my computer.

I can open various url's which i have saved for research purposes and also things like my bank account to do tfrs. No problem.
My email also works fine.
For some reason the newly installed version of Firefox does not see the internet or react to anything - (have reinstalled 3 times) -neither does it accept anything one types into the search field - when I click to activate the search it simply deletes it.

Whenever I update my iPhone software, it asks me to sign in to iCloud with an old email address. My other devices all have the correct address. How can I get the correct address for my iPhone? The only Apple ID that works for logging in is my new one.
To change the iCloud ID you have to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, provide the password for the old ID when prompted to turn off Find My iPhone (if you're using iOS 7), then sign back in with the ID you wish to use. If you don't know the password for your old ID, or if it isn't accepted, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

There is no serial number and you don't need one. What you need for a subscription is to SIGN IN within Acrobat, so it knows the subscriptions you own.

Where can I get Window's software for my Macbook Pro? I'm trying to run ARCview. However, it requires Windows. I'm trying Bootcamp. but, it isn't recognising the disk that I currently have.
Maybe because it's not a 'genuine' retail version? Many OEM versions just don't work - and I've no idea which flavor of Win7 your friend downloaded. Obviously one that Boot Camp doesn't recognize. Best to just pony up the cash for a full retail version, of some flavor - and use it. You COULD, of course, download the 14-day trial version of Parallels Desktop and see if you can install Win7 as a virtual machine... it might or might not work. Boot Camp just isn't finding the resources it needs on the copy you have - try Parallels and if that doesn't work just purchase a retail (or student discounted) version.

Also, in my efforts to download Flash, Firefox activated IE which made me concerned that proceeding WOULD cause problems our just leave me where I am now where IE can use Flask but Firefox cannot.Internet Explorer uses a ActiveX version of the Flash player plugin as it does not work with other browsers.
