Browser hang occasionally when upload a file through the af:inputFile
i try to upload a file through the <af:inputFile>, the browser hang occasionally. i can see following error in the weblogic.
i'm using safari 5.1 on mac, and jdev 11.1.1.15

i found the exception posted in my first post is shown after i close the file upload dialog manually which hangs for a long time(more than 5 minutes).
so, yes, you're right , the 'broken pipe' exception means the browser drop the file (since i close it manually)
during the browser hang ,i don't see any exception in weblogic.
we use SSO, is the browser occasionally hang related with SSO?

You are attempting to download the picture to your computer not uploading photo to the website if I am understanding you correctly.
To change the download direction, you must do so through your browser's Preferences. If you are using Safari, hopefully, someone who uses Safari will help you and/or post over in their forums. I do not use Safari.

Missing image when uploading Dreamweaver site through the FTP

Can someone please help me?
I have been trying to upload an image onto my site however it will not load once I have uploaded it to the FTP and made the page live. I have tried linking the image in the properties but this just made the below clickable to view the actual image - but not shown on the page it is supposed to be displayed on.
Does anybody know what I am doing wrong?

I'm assuming that is where the ms_spoint_2007ce.gif is supposed to be BUT it isnt:

Move it to the 'images' folder and re-link it:
../../../htdocs/images/ms_spoint_2007ce.gif
You can also use the absolute url to the image if needs be AFTER you have located it in the 'images' folder:

SystemManager.as : 'should never get here' when uploading multiple files
I have a code for uploading multiple files. The code works so that when complete event from the first upload is received, the second upload is started. The code works fine on Flash Player 9, but now when I changed my compiler settings to require version 10, the program no longer works.
Also this only seems to occur when I execute the code from the Flash Builder. I have compiled the code with ant requiring FP version 10. This swf is bundled inside a war and can executed without any problems. I actually set the ant compiler to require FP 10 some time ago already.
I get error 2174, which is for trying to upload multiple files at the same time. Although, I don't understand why I get this, since the uploads should not be done simultaneously as I explained above.
The interesting thing here is when I try to debug it. At some point when stepping in the code, I get the following error thrown. It's thrown by the code pasted at the end. Interesting is the else block that throws the error, the comment says 'should never get here'.
A bug in the framework or in Flex Builder?
Using IE 8 with FP 10.0.32.18 (on Win XP if that matters).

In both cases the URL is http. The only difference is that in one case everything is on server inside a war running on Tomcat to which I make connection via browser. In the other case the server side stuff is running on local computer on Tomcat and the Flex code is not bundled inside the war.
In both cases the URL is in form of http://... When running locally, the URL is http://localhost:8080/myAppName. I don't know how the network card driver translates this URL, but what you said might have something to do with it. -

I am not able to upload any file through portal onto my webDav repository for remote server however reverse is possible i.e. any document created at remote server is reflected in portal.
Everytime when i try to upload file though portal , i get the following error::

Have you specified any user information in the webdav repository....Like always connect through this user, in the webdav repsository tab....This user may not have write permission in the windows.

code doesn't update when uploading new files to website. I was using an old DW version for a long time then forced to upgrade when I bought my MacBook Pro. Now when I make changes to my pages and link to new files etc on my harddrive, when i upload the pages it won't image because the code still points to harddrive (this did not used to be a problem)... I manually changed the code on the web host site to point to the site and it loaded fine. But now my files on my harddrive also point to the web host files and now don't image on my computer. I never had to worry about this so far and wonder if the new version has a setting I'm supposed to be aware of so that I can design on my hardrive and upload and it knows that the files are being uploaded with it? Ugh hpe this makes sense - I'm NOT a webs designer and the new DW is way more than I use in it's technology.

I am trying to build a submit form with personal fields (already got this done) along with a field they can upload 1 or 2 images. You could apply a "file attachment" field within the web form. If needing more than 1 file attachment you'll need to access your form code and hard-code the additional field.
The form will collect the file(s) and will be held within the case details under "related files". You can also assign a workflow to recieve notifications however only 1 file will appear in each email. To see the other files you'll need to access your order details.

Make sure you are allowed to store files on your server. Most hosting services don't allow anything to be stored that can't be accessed via the internet. Check the fine print! -
I am using OATS tool for writing automation scripts to test a web-based application . But I am facing problem when the requirement is to upload any file from the system to that web application .
Actually the behavior of the script or I guess of OATS is inconsistent as the attachment file is getting upload sometime and
fails to do so at the other time .
I have observed a strange case also ,i.e whenever i am executing the scripts while sharing my system screen on webex meeting
then the attachment upload results in failure . What can be the proper solution for doing file upload using automation script ??Can you please check whether the sync has been taken care before performing the upload operation. If the sync is taken care then the upload should work always

When uploading videos to iWeb, the video screen gets cut off at the top. It only happens in Firefox, but not in Safari. Has anybody else had this problem?

Why can't I upload pdf files into the US District Court CM/ECF system?
Since the last update to Firefox, I cannot upload pdf files into the Federal Court's e-filing system. When I press the browse file button, all the files (except jpg) files appear inactive and I cannot click on any file, esp. pdf files to upload. I tried it with Safari and had no trouble. I need this resolved asap as I routinely have done all my e-filing with Firefox. I had no issues in the past until the recent update. Thank you.
The Bankruptcy Court announced a few months ago that updated versions of Firefox would not work with the ECF system. You have to download an older version of Firefox. I was able to download Firefox 3.6.19 and I run that only for bankruptcy filings.
I know it doesn't make sense, but it works.
Many people are evidently having the same trouble. I have no idea why the court system doesn't run software that works with the latest versions of Firefox. Or why the latest versions of Firefox don't work with the courts.
I'm looking for a way to notify Firefox and to ask them to fix.
Incidentally, over Labor Day weekend, the Bankruptcy Court - at least in Oregon - did a major software overhaul. But they didn't fix the Firefox issue. -
Can't upload a file from the administration console
I have web center portal app that is connect to my UCM. I can add files to the ucm by going to UCM and adding them there. I want to be able to upload the files through the admin console of my app but every time I try to upload them it says. It can't upload the file, I do not have permission. I am logged in as the default weblogic user. How do I give myself permission to upload files from the admin console?
Hey guys thanks for the reply. I figured out how to do it. I had messed all my domains up and was getting crazy errors so nothing would work right. I just did a fresh install of the domains and it started working.
