Help, I need to add a table to a form in Adobe designer

Anyone know how to add a table (that the end user will be able to fill in) to a Adobe designer form that I'm creating? I figured it would be in the tools but is not?????

  • Passing an Internal Table to an RFC from Adobe Designer

    Hi All,
    I am using Adobe Designer to create interactive Adobe Forms. Now I am using an RFC/WebService which expects an Internal Table in import parameter.
    In my form designer I am getting this as only one field.
    So when I insert values in this from my form it updates only the entered in the last textbox all other values entered are lost.
    Any ideas how this can be done????

    Hi Sameer,
              While you are mapping the input parameter mapped it to the value node or context node of the view.When you go to the adobe form you can see the mapping as a table itself instead of a field.Then use sub form inside adobe form UI layout to display it in the .pdf format in the adobe interactive form.
              If you see the mapping as a single field when a table is reqd then it implies mapping while creating the Model is not done correctly.So re import the model and do the mapping from the begining accordingly.

    Hi Sam,
    yes, you can't apply neither Data Definition Language (DDL) nor
    Data Manipulation Language (DML), except SELECT statement, at
    the query builder inside your report. You may create a stored
    procedure containing the DDL or the DML, then run this stored
    procedure at the "Before Report" trigger. You can find this
    trigger under Report Triggers of your Object Navigator.

  • Help Required - Need to add current user as superuser

    Is there a way to add my user account to the superuser group in Solaris 10? I need to install some pretty heavy software which involves unpacking and repacking war files so would like to be superuser throughout. I am using a VM and am not concerned with security as it has no network connections and is host only.
    Any advice appreciated as I am a complete newbie - lol!

    While it is truly a bad idea to do this, it is possible. The safest way is to use sudo. The easiest (and worst, most dangerous way) is to change the UID and GID in /etc/passwd to 0 (same as root) for your account. If you do this, and I urge you not to do it, don't forget to change them back to the original values when you are done. It is too easy to be in the wrong directory as root and do a rm -rf *. That simple mistake cost me most of a Sunday fixing the damage years ago. And I'll bet I'm not the only one to screw up like that.
    In deference of this response, its a learning thing. The OP should know what UID and GID can do so as not to spend a day off in the office fixing mistakes. I blew out the entire /etc directory tree when I was a young pup who thought he knew it all.

    I'm trying to figure out how to insert a table into my current form.  I can't seem to locate any button or instruction on how to do that.  Any and all help is greatly appreciated. 

    I'm guessing you're using the free version. I would first try to import a table from another PDF file. If that doesn't work I would try using the "add item" feature for either the "text" or "email" fields because those are formatted as 2 columns. You will just have to manipulate them how you want them.

    with Designer ES3 (formerly know as ADEP Designer) you can use Flash files within XFA forms.
    Check Niall O'Donovan's article.
    He has prepared a nice example of using flash charts which can be manipulated at runtime.

    I have uploaded part of my form. When the user checks all of the boxes they want on their form and hit the submit button, the unchecked boxes disappear...which is what  want.
    What I cannot get the form to do is remove the remaining white space within that subform so the overall form shortens. I have had my head in  this for a bit and a deadline is looming!

    I am creating a form with mostly single selection fields. I need to add a table (a simple two columns and several rows) at the end of the form. How do I do this?

    Your best bet might be to use a Formatted Text for "Turnover" on top of your fields and then use caption on top for label positon.
    OR you can have the Formatted text on the same line as your fields too

    Hi Wei Fang,
    You can try by creating a 2 line template (1 Template, 2 linetype) under a loop note.
    So your smartform tree structure will be shown like this:
    LOOP
        TEMPLATE1.
    On the LOOP part, pass the internal table of your data to the working areas.
    On the template put all the data of the summary on your first linetype, and put
    the detail data on your second linetype.

  • Need to add a second weblogic server for high availability

    I have a weblogic 10.3.3 server with forms and reports 11.1.1.3.
    I have an adminServer, WLS_FORMS and WLS_REPORTS managed servers setup.
    This was setup with the wizard, so the WLS_FORMS is in the cluster_forms cluster group and WLS_REPORTS in the cluster_reports group.
    I now need to add a second server with forms and reports also to act as one big server and provide high availability and load balancing.
    How do I achieve thsi, is there a wizard that will do this?
    The two servers are setup in exactly the same way, with the same versions of Weblogic and Forms and Reports.

    I do not know "reports 11.1.1.3" application, but from your description this application is already targeted on a clustered configuration.
    So it should be sufficient to add 2 new instances in the WebLogic domain "WLS_FORMS_2", "WLS_REPORTS_2", include them into the existing clusters and add a load balancer (like apache + wleblogic-plugin) that will balance requests on instances.
    I never heard of wizards to create such clustered environments. However it is not hard to do:
    1- Install binaries on the new machine
    2- Create the domain configuration directory on the new machine using config.sh wizard in the same way you have aleady done with the first machine.
    In this step you can create a clone of the existing domain, but it is enough to create a domain with the same name and the same admin instance.
    Instead of using config.sh, you can also copy the domain directory from the existing machine and change diretories in scripts if needed.
    The domain configuration is needed only to find the binaries, the basic domain files common to all installations, and to allow startup scripts (see point 4-) to connect to the admin and download the domain/instance configuration.
    3- Configure the new instances on the existing WebLogic console
    4- Create startup scripts for "WLS_FORMS_2", "WLS_REPORTS_2" on the second machine
