BrowserLab bug: not displaying IEPNGFIX in IE6

BrowserLab doesn't seem to be able to correctly apply the htc file, used by IEPNGFIX--at least for a local file. Steps:
1. Download IEPNGFIX alpha 2 from here: http://www.twinhelix.com/test/iepngfix.zip
2. open iepngfix.html (it's in the download) in Dreamweaver then preview in BrowserLab
3. The IE6 view in BrowserLab doesn't display the PNG transparency--i've test same files locally using VMWare and a locally running copy of IE6 gets it right.
Interestingly, if you view an online demo at http://www.twinhelix.com/css/iepngfix/demo/ using in BrowserLab, BrowserLab gets it right for IE6 preview. Why?

Oops sorry, I've used them before and forgot they did that soon after a site was set-up! My other site is hosted by them with no problem.

    Hi,
    As Julien said you can install the SQL Studio and check for the table starting with M followed by a number with your rootnode name. Similarly for the child node also. If you see that the data is present please check if you have written a BIND method for your table, form in the either the INIT or the supply function.

  • Entire DIV (text and images) not displaying in IE7 & IE6, says Browserlab. All other browsers OK.

    Please help. I am baffled. I have created this small web site here and Browserlab shows that when using IE7 & IE6, there is an entire DIV that is not displaying at all. All other browsers seems to be OK. I have removed all 'position' attributes, with no Z-indexing on anything. I floated the top left section (to the left) and then floated the top right section ( to the right). It is the section to the right that is not displaying.
    Here is a pic for most browsers. Everything seems OK.
    And here is a pic showing Browserlab in IE7;
    What could be causing my display problems?
    Many thanks for any help.
    Dave F.

    Thank you. I had changed (and saved) the positioning to get rid of the absolute attribute. But for some reason, the change did not actually make it into my CSS stlye sheet. I had to manually code in the floats to left and right.
    Then my problem was solved.
    Now I just need to find out why my changes are not being properly saved in the CSS style sheet.
    Thanks again! You definitely led me down the right path. Much obliged.

  • JSF output not displaying properly in IE6

    I've create an application using JSC and developed a few CSS templates to go along. I've notice that the formatting look fine on Firefox and IE7 but not IE6 -
    I saved the generated JSF output page (from the browser), remove the first line: <?xml version="1.0"?> and tried to load it manually into IE6 and it rendered fine. So the culprit (other then IE6 of course) is this line: <?xml version="1.0"?>
    I read somewhere that if IE6 encounters <?xml version="1.0"?>, it switches it rendering engine to 5.5 (not sure if that's true or not).
    Is there any workaround to get my page to display correctly on IE6?
    Desperately,
    Jean

    Hi Jean.
    When I was using xml and xsl to learn how to create web pages I found an error, the same that you find when including css files (I found the first problem with absolute position to div tags).
    The only that I can say you is that your problem is no new. IE 6 works with some problems with combinations like xsl and css (the same happen with jsp and css).
    I was searching in forums but no one give me a solution. Be sure that the problem is in IE 6.
    Something that you can try is create a version of your css templates to use with IE 6. Usually the same CSS with some changes under conflicting values give you a good format in IE 6.
    Then you can create a copy of yours CSS files and use this copy changing conflictives values to show the format that you want in IE 6.
    Finally you must to use "something" that help you to find the version of navegator that get the page.
    (It sounds stupid but work for me).
    Good Luck Jean!

  • Navigation bar not displaying correctly in IE6

    Hello,
    I'm having trouble getting my navigation bar to display correctly in IE6!!! I've tried using the zoom: 1 IECC for #header, #header li a etc but can't seem to get it to display in the correct place. I'm fairly new to CSS (that's probably obvious!) and have been working through a tutorial to get this far but unfortunately the design you want never quite matches the tutorial!

  • Ul horizontal navigation not displaying correctly in IE6

    I am designing a web site for my psychology department and ideally it will display correctly across browsers, including older versions. I've used CS Live to test how it displays, and everything looks great EXCEPT IE6. What percentage of people out there are still using that? I'm not sure how concerned to be.
    If there is a fix, I'd like to apply it, because the problem is with my top navigation, which will display on about 130 pages of the web site.

    Thanks for any advice that you may have!

    Thanks for the reply!
    I did add the float left as suggested, and it did fix the menu for IE6. Here is the current page, which I hope displays correctly in every browser, including IE6, http://www.psychology.vcu.edu/test/.
    The problem is that it broke one aspect of the menu for IE7 and others.
    The code in blue is what was added to fix IE6.
    The code in red is what no longer works. I had added it so that the width of the final list item would extend to the end of the main_nav width.
    ul#main_nav {
    list-style-type: none;
    width: 920px;
    background-color: #EAECE7;
    background-image: url(../images/backgrounds/main_nav_grey_gr.jpg);
    background-repeat: repeat-x;
    padding: 0px;
    height: 30px;
    margin-top: 20px;
    margin-right: auto;
    margin-bottom: 0px;
    margin-left: auto;
    #main_nav li a {
    float: left;
    color: #000;
    text-decoration: none;
    display: block;
    margin: 0px;
    padding-right: 19px;
    padding-left: 19px;
    padding-top: 6px;
    height: 24px;
    font-weight: bold;
    #main_nav_last {
    width: 110px;
    #main_nav li {
    float: left;
    #main_nav li a:hover, #main_nav li a:active, #main_nav li a:focus {
    color: #FFF;
    background-color: #000;
    display: block;
    font-weight: bold;
    If anyone has suggestions on how to optimize this code I'd be grateful. This menu will appear on 120 pages or so, and I want it to be as perfect as possible.
    Thank you so much.

  • Background image display problem in IE6

    I'm having another problem with my CSS. This one involves some background images not displaying properly in IE6. My navbar is an unordered list, and I'm using an image replacement technique to swap out the text for background images that serve as the buttons. The height of each button is 12 pixels, and the rollover is created by offsetting the image -12 pixels to reveal the bottom half of the image. So far so good. The images appear in all browsers, but IE6 displays more than 12 pixels of the image, revealing part of the rollover below it.
    Here's the page in question: http://www.colbydesign.com/redesign/index.html
    Here's a screen shot from BrowserLab of how the page looks in IE6: http://www.colbydesign.com/redesign/images/ie6_screenshot.jpg
    The <ul> height and image height are set to 12 pixels. I can't figure out why IE6 has a problem with the CSS. Maybe there's an IE6 hack I can use? Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    R-Co

    I didn't have a chance to work through the whole problem, but I believe that the font size of your "off-screen" menu text is pushing down the size of your ul and your li, as I see "overflow" outlines on that specific div.
    Try giving those items #header h1 a, specifically, a smaller defined font size.
    Alternatively, try applying an "overflow: hidden;" to the hover definition.

    Hi An Iphone user,
    If you are having issues deleting a specific message from an iMessage conversation (not seeing the Trash icon), you may want to double-check that you are following the steps outlined in the following article:
    How do I delete a message?
    To delete a message, tap and hold the message bubble, then tap More.
    Tap Delete All to delete all the messages. Or tap to select the messages you want to delete, then tap .
    After you delete a message, you can recover it only by restoring from a backup.

  • Internet Exporer 6.0 IE6 not displaying images

    I understand that this is not a Dreamweaver problem, but I'm
    hoping that someone can help.
    I have a very basic site built for a client.
    All that is on the index page is a Banner graphic and a
    single photo. Both are Jpeg format.
    Running in IE7 and Firefox everything is fine.
    But users that are using IE6 are experiencing that the images
    are not displaying at all, just a placeholder with the red x on the
    top left.
    Other sites are fine displaying graphics on these machines. I
    have not experienced this issue before, so any recommendations or
    feedback would be grateful. There are no issues with active X or
    Firewalls as far as I can see on these machines.
    cheers

    Can you give us a URL?

  • My programming? JRE 1.4 bug? Images not displayed properly!

    I made this simple card game which you can checkout at http://www.koutbo6.com I used AWT components and used Panels for drawing the cards and the main game panel has a null Layout. It runs perfectly on all java enabled browsers ... except for IE on windows XP.
    I came across a problem where the card images are not displayed at all. some images that are drawn disrectly on the backround are partially drawn or not drawn correctly. The IExplorere had microsft virtual machine donloaded for windows XP. I managed to correct the problem by disabling JIT compiling from IE advanced setting.
    Then I installed XP on another PC and was surprized that Microsoft stopped distributing the Java Virtual Machine for XP, so I opted for sun java plugin V1.4 and the same problems occur. There is no way to turn off JIT compiling and i read in oone of the bug postings that the option has been taken off in versio 1.4.
    when the problem occurs I noticed that g.drawString works perfectly and all the AWT components are displayed even in the main panel with the null layout. the problem occurs with displaying the images. It could be with the way im doing things.
    this is how I draw my images using the paint method:
         public void paint(Graphics g){
              super.paint(g);
              if(cardImage != null){
                   g.drawImage(cardImage,0,0,this);
           }this is how I draw cards images on card panels, if i wana clear the image I would set cardImage to null and repaint. This is how i draw all the images in the client.
    Is there a problem with my way of doing things? or is there a problem with the java plug in? I'v yet to try installing older java plug-ins on this PC, I will try it and post if it solves the problem.
    Thanks in advance

    Well I tried other versions of the plug in and they seem to have the same problem. But I have noticed that images loaded using Applet.getImage() were displayed without problems. And when I ran the server/client locally "without" JARing the files, the images displayed perfectly.
    I am using a load image method that I picked up from the forums to enable the loading of images from jars when using netscape. This is the code I use to load the images from JAR:
         /** get an image from anyt sorce.*/
         public Image getImageFromJAR(String fileName){
              if (fileName == null) {
                   return null;
              Image image = null;
              byte[] thanksToNetscape = null;
              Toolkit toolkit = Toolkit.getDefaultToolkit();
              java.io.InputStream in = getClass().getResourceAsStream(fileName);
              int x = 0;
              try{
                   int length = in.available();
                        thanksToNetscape = new byte[length];
                        in.read( thanksToNetscape );
                        image = toolkit.createImage( thanksToNetscape );
              }catch(Exception exc){
                   System.out.println( exc +" getting resource " +fileName );
              return image;

    Bug: BLZ-95 - nio channels are not displayed in ds-console
    QA: Yes
    Doc: No
    Details:
    * Needed to update one of the containers in the ds-console client code for endpoint display, which contains a hardcoded list of endpoint types it pulls in.
    Ticket Links:
    http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/BLZ-95
    Modified Paths:

    Addendum to original post - uncommenting the following code section and running both the client and the server eliminated the pauses, however the time required to perform the connections was slower than I hoped. The best I could achieve was about 1.25 seconds for 250 connections with a 20ms pause every 20 connections (dropping the pause less than 20ms or increasing the batch size more than 20 would result in connections taking 10-20 times longer!).
    /* if ((i % 20) == 0) {
    Thread.sleep(20);

  • BUG :  FORMS not displaying values stored in FLOAT datatypes.

    APEX 2.2.1.
    Error occurs on both V9.2.0.4 and V10.2.
    I'm working on a "report with form" combination and have been fighting a problem where the data entered into a form will save correctly and show in the report, but when you choose to edit the record to update it, the value will not display in the form at all.
    I went round and round, and finally discovered that the problem had to do with the FLOAT datatype being used to store the data.
    When creating a default "Report with Edit form" on the following two example tables, the form works correctly with SLA_SCHEDULE2 but not with SLA_SCHEDULE1
    CREATE TABLE SLA_SCHEDULE1
    ID NUMBER NOT NULL,
    NAME VARCHAR2(128 BYTE) NOT NULL,
    TRACING_PERCENTAGE FLOAT(126),
    RUNS_PER_PERIOD NUMBER,
    SECONDS_PER_PERIOD NUMBER,
    SCHEDULE_TYPE VARCHAR2(16 BYTE) NOT NULL
    CREATE TABLE SLA_SCHEDULE2
    ID NUMBER NOT NULL,
    NAME VARCHAR2(128 BYTE) NOT NULL,
    TRACING_PERCENTAGE NUMBER,
    RUNS_PER_PERIOD NUMBER,
    SECONDS_PER_PERIOD NUMBER,
    SCHEDULE_TYPE VARCHAR2(16 BYTE) NOT NULL
    The only workaround I have so far is to change the datatype of the column.
    Doug

    Based on the advice Scott gave above, I've created this function...
    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION Get_Float_Value
    p_table_name           VARCHAR2,
         p_float_column_name     VARCHAR2,
         p_key_id_name          VARCHAR2,
         p_key_id_value           VARCHAR2
    RETURN FLOAT IS
    TYPE FLOAT_CURSOR IS REF CURSOR;
    f_cur FLOAT_CURSOR;
    FLOAT_VALUE FLOAT(126);
    SQL_STMT VARCHAR2(500);
    BEGIN
         SQL_STMT := 'select :a from :b where :c = :d';
         SQL_STMT := REPLACE(SQL_STMT, ':a', p_float_column_name);
         SQL_STMT := REPLACE(SQL_STMT, ':b', p_table_name);
         SQL_STMT := REPLACE(SQL_STMT, ':c', p_key_id_name);
         SQL_STMT := REPLACE(SQL_STMT, ':d', p_key_id_value);
    OPEN f_cur FOR SQL_STMT;
         LOOP
         FETCH f_cur INTO FLOAT_VALUE;
         EXIT WHEN f_CUR%NOTFOUND;
         RETURN FLOAT_VALUE;
         END LOOP;
         RETURN NULL;
    END Get_Float_Value;
    This allows you to call the function ANYWHERE you use a FLOAT, without having to create one function per table/column you might need to use it against.
    I know that I could have used a 'USING' statement on the cursor to do the replacements, but I always find it easier to debug replacement values using the REPLACE function.

  • Bug: thumbnails not displaying on library grid view

    Since using v1.0 the thumbnails will not display on the grid view (there is simply a grid of empty grey squares which can be clicked on). All beta versions worked fine. I started a new library with no improvement. All other screens work as expected. Using Windows XP SP2. Any ideas?

    joel, I'm experiencing the same issue - the thumbnails start to appear but once they get to the point where they would be fully loaded, they disappear. I used beta as well, and that worked perfectly fine. Just sent in a ticket to the customer support at adobe, hopefully they can help with a solution. I'm only running the trial version of lightroom.
    Where you able to figure out a solution?
