BSP: Write data in a sap-table in javascript

Hi experts,
I try to use a abap table in JavaScript code. In a BSP I generate a lot of data with a javascript function. Now I want to write this data in a abap-table and send it back to the controller. The sap-table is defined in the page attributes.
The table has char fields and a dec13,3 field.
What I need is something like this:
Sap-table[] = JS-table.
Or

Unfortunately I really create a lot of data. Nearly 5000 rows, with 8 fields in every row. So, when I have to create a hidden fields, I have a lot to do.
I definitely have to programming a solution.

this shared table should be compatiable to sap fields...write code to fetch data from this table and assign data to appropriate fields in SAP and insert the data into sap.
1. Push mechanism
Write a RFC on SAP side to insert entries into the table.
Call the RFC from xyz application passing the data you want to insert.
2. Pull mechanism
Write a ABAP Program, where you can somehow read the data of the xyz application and insert data into the table.
3. Flat file
Dump the data from xyz application into the file.
Write a ABAP program to read the file and update the table.

Time data upload to SAP tables

i m corking on HR Time Management project.
now i hav to upload data which is coming frm external time management system.i m getting 1 txt file in which list of string are recorded by external software.
Eg of that string is :
N000645120420062857
This is one of the string frm tat list.
now in this string
N00-TERMINAL NUMBER
0645-HHMM ( TIME OF SWIPPING CARD )
12042006 - DDMMYYYY (DATE OF SWIPPING CARD )

Now the problem is we r having only 1 terminal machine.So in this list login & logout both the data r included...now i have to identify which data is login & which is logout time and upload that data in SAP tables.
So i want suggestions & help how to upload this data to HR tables.What tables i shud consider for uploading data...Is thr any SAP standard program which can solve this problem.

Use LSMW tool and define mapping rules, code in ABAP for extra mapping rules, use fixed values or translations wherever appropriate.
But first sit with an analyst/functional person and jot down the algorithm of how to do and when to do what to do based on the file format.

Data encryption in SAP tables

Hi,
My client wants to upload condidential employees data into Z table (do not want HR). These tables will contains some informations that I want to encrypt (salary, ssn, etc...). Is there an easy way to encrypt/decrypt this kind of data. I found the BASE64 methods but is it safe to use that ?
I also found the SSF functions but they look not easy to use. I just want to encrypt some fields of a database records before inserting this record and decrypt it in some applications.

The BASE64 methods don't truely encrypt the data. They just change the encoding to base 64. At the very least, the data will be obfuscated to some degree. If you go this route, the Z table fields might need to be characters to prevent errors.

You can search using SE11.
goto SE11 in ECC system, give the table name and click on where used list.
in the next screen select structure and press enter.
in the result screen you will get the list

To upload a data into SAP Table with the help of RFC function in BODS

Please provide me step-by-step solution to upload data into any SAP table with the help of RFC function in Data Services.
I have created RFC function that upload data into SAP table. RFC Function contains one table that has same structure as my database table.
In the data services how can i filled the table of RFC function, i am using this function in query transform of data services but it gives me error.

Hi Abhishek,
Did you import the function module in the SAP datastore first? When you open the SAP datastore, the function should be listed in the 'functions' section. If not, import it. Make sure your function is remote executable.
Once the function is there, you can use it in a transformation. In 'Schema Out' right-click on 'Query' (top level) and choose 'New Function Call'. You can then select a datastore and a function in the datastore. The wizard will show you which output parameters are available. I believe you have to add at least one and can select as many as you like.
After confirming your selection the function and the output parameters appear in Schema Out. You can then right-click on the function and choose 'Modify function call'. A popup will appear where you can specify the input parameters.

Data fetching from Standard tables or transaction to SAP PI

Dear Friends !
Good day ! How are you ?
I have one requirement , My client asks me to develop a solution in that I should get the data from standard SAP tables like EKKO, EKPO ( MM related ) etc.. and send it to PI system and then PI system sends it to third party system database system.
We have current scenario is working fine, I have abap proxy that I called in various standard transaction codes ( MIRO, MIGO, etc ) ' Baddis just beforethe commit stament and it passed the data to SAP PI system and it sends to SQL system.
but my client dont want me to use Baddis. Client wants like u should read from those EKKO,EKPO tables as soon as you get new entry there and send it to PI system. I have no clue How can I go further in that. Shall I use events ? but then question is same I need to trgger them somewere? Is any one have idea How I can send the data to PI system frm SAP standard tcodes and tables without using Baddis.
Please reply me. your any help will be appreciated.

The current Approach of your development perfectly good approach,
it is not possbiel to read data directly from SAP Tables, you have to use IDoc/RFC/Proxy,if you want to avoid BADI's then better to contact ABAP Team, they will help you different approches .
But you have to use Porxy/IDoc/BAPI for sure.

Data Integrator "where" in query transform vs SAP table column date

I have the following problem:
I am using a query transform to grab data from a SAP table and have a "where" that looks like this that works:
ZMM_STOMOS_HIST.ZPOST_DATE = to_date(to_char(sysdate(), 'YYYYMMDD'), 'YYYYMMDD')
BUT it runs for a very long time and I have just realised that when I look at the sql statement via display optimized sql that the "where" statement does not show - which makes sense because it seems to return the entire table rows to DI before it starts to filter them on the "where".
this is even though the pure SAP date is stored as YYYYMMDD type date and in DI we say take it to our BO table as type date u2013 the sql server database made it datetime. And when I validate the sql transform I get this warning.

I can get other "where" conditions to show in the optimized sql on the same table - no problem.
e.g.
SELECT ZSERIAL , ZUMOVETYP , ZUORIGIN , ZUDESTN , ZUTRDATT , ZUTRTIMM , ZUVENDER , ZUBOXSA1 , ZUBOXSA2
FROM ZMM_STOMOS_HIST
WHERE ZUMOVETYP = 'RBX'
How do I get this particular where clause to appear in the optimized sql statement ? I suspect it has something to do with the formatting and have tried many formats but no go.

Thank you so much .... I had to use a variable / paramter of type varchar(8) and the value as YYYYMMDD
e.g. my script
$today = to_char(sysdate(),'YYYYMMDD');
print('date is : [$today]');
This has resulted in a huge resource and most of all time saving.
I still dont understand why DI cant just figure this out in a normal where like it does with other datatypes but right now it works so I am happy.

Optimized sql not properly generated when using SAP tables

Hi Experts
We are using BODS 4.1 sp2.
We have a simple dataflow where we pull data from SAP r3 using direct download and push it in our database.
Basically its like this:
SAP Table-->Query Transform-->Oracle Database
Inside query transform,we have applied some conditions in where clause,which are combinations of 'or' and 'and' operator.
However when we are generating optimized SQL for the same,we observe that the conditions in where clause are not being included in the optimized query.
But if we replace all conditions by only 'or' or by only 'and' condition,the optimized sql query with condition is generated.
Somehow the optimized sql with conditions is not generated if where clause has mixer of 'and' and 'or' conditions.
The issue is only observerd for SAP Tables
However the same dataflow in bods 4.0,generates an optimized sql containing the mixed conditions of 'and' and 'or' in where clause.
Please help me on this.

Let me explain this in detail to you:
We have a simple dataflow where we push data from the sap table directly into our oracle database.
The dataflow has a query transform where we have some conditions to filter the data.
The method used to pull data from R3 is direct download.
System Used:
BODS 4.2 SP1
SAP R3 620 release(4.7)
The where clause has mixed 'and' and 'or' operators.The problem is that this where clause is not getting pushed in the Optimized sql.
Eg: Table1.feild1=some value and Table1.feild2=some value or Table1.feild3=some value.
If this is the condition in where clause,the where clause does not appear in optimized sql.
Also the condition in where clause is from same table.
However if all the condition in where clause are either all 'and' or either all 'or',the condition gets pushed and appears in optimized sql.
But if their is mixed 'and' and 'or' it fails.
The same was not the case when we used BODS 4.0 with R3 620(4.7).
We investigated further and used R3 730 with BODS 4.2.With R3 720,we the where condition was getting pushed into optimized sql for mixed 'and' 'or' predicated.
SAP support too confirmed the same.They were able to reproduce the issue.
We will use ABAP dataflow and see if if resolves the issue.

How to convert date format into sap standard format?

In SAPUI5 screen i have one simple form in form i have date field which is format (MM/DD/YYYY). but i am getting POST error while inserting the data in to sap table.
I want convert date format in sap format (YYYY/MM/DD).
One more issue, when i am fetching the data from sap table,but the date display with time and time zone.
eg. Sat Aug 02 2014 05:30:00 GMT+0530 (India Standard Time)

How to copy the Data From Oracle Table To SAP Table

We need to copy the data from Oracle Database Table to SAP Table. The data should be updated simultaneously in both tables . Should I write a program that contains the native sql statement like EXEC SQL PERFORMING WRITE,....

Hi,
since you posted this question in the DB2 forum I assume that you are using a DB2 database for your SAP system.
To access a table from a legacy ORACLE database you may use the DBSL multiconnect feature. I.e. you open a secondary connecction in the SAP system to your ORALE database. You can then ready the data from the ORACLE database into an ABAP internal table and insert it afterwards into the DB2 table on the main connection.
Another way to access an ORACLE table from a DB2 database is to use the DB2 federated database feature. This requires a little bit more DB2 skill. With this feature you can make the ORACLE table visible within the DB2 database. To copy data you can then simply use a "INSERT ... SELECT" statement.
