RFC to write data to SAP

Hi,
Is there an RFC available that takes in data and write it back to SAP tables?
Could LSMW be somehow used in an RFC?

Well I have a graphical application which shows the Org Structure. Here the users can move a position from department to another.
So basically I am trying to send back the position (S) and the organization (O).

ARFC - Write data to SAP

Hi,
I using aRFC to write to SAP R/3. When i execute the writing request i do not get any feedback in return. Neither can i see that SAP-database is updated.
Therefore I would like track some error messages indication what went wrong.
How can I obtain more information about what went wrong etc.

1) If there was any error while executing the RFC you will get the exception that you would have handled in the WebDynpro. If you are not getting any errors it should mean that the execution was fine. This opens up an option that the input was not mandatory and that the way you set your input are not correct.
2) Check the way you are setting the inputs for the RFC.
3) If the RFC is a custom RFC then you could confirm whether that the sy-subrc is 0 after the database insert.
Please revert back for further clarifications.

So there is a specific template in the SAP development tool or specific development to do?

Gettin data from SAP R/3 4.7 unicode sys to SAP ERP non-unicode sys via RFC

We are trying to get data from SAP R/3 4.7 unicode sys to SAP ERP non-unicode sys via RFC. We are reading field from the database via FM and this field got converted by SAP standard Method (CL_ABAP_CONTAINER_UTILITIES=>fill_CONTAINER_C) from structure. When reading this field from ERP sys and converted back to structure using SAP standard Method the value is un-accurate, and different(blank) giving values.
How, if the data originally was a char or numeric it works fine, but not for decimal.

I have a range fields with different type of ranges, am saving these to the database by converting them to a string via the same method. I got the same problem so I tried to convert the string to xstring using function SCMS_STRING_TO_XSTRING, before send it to the other system, but the function raised an exception: CX_SY_CONVERSION_CODEPAGE

To upload a data into SAP Table with the help of RFC function in BODS

Hi,
Please provide me step-by-step solution to upload data into any SAP table with the help of RFC function in Data Services.
I have created RFC function that upload data into SAP table. RFC Function contains one table that has same structure as my database table.
In the data services how can i filled the table of RFC function, i am using this function in query transform of data services but it gives me error.

Hi Abhishek,
Did you import the function module in the SAP datastore first? When you open the SAP datastore, the function should be listed in the 'functions' section. If not, import it. Make sure your function is remote executable.
Once the function is there, you can use it in a transformation. In 'Schema Out' right-click on 'Query' (top level) and choose 'New Function Call'. You can then select a datastore and a function in the datastore. The wizard will show you which output parameters are available. I believe you have to add at least one and can select as many as you like.
After confirming your selection the function and the output parameters appear in Schema Out. You can then right-click on the function and choose 'Modify function call'. A popup will appear where you can specify the input parameters.

SAP Module sapnwrfc: Retrieving data from SAP using RFC

I'm sorry, if I'm asking about something that's obvious in SAP. I need to develop a perl application in a remote server that will receive a requisition from an abap application.
I'm using the SAP Module sapnwrfc. I connect to SAP Gateway with no errors and execute the function sapnwrfc::installFunction (no errors returned) but I can't find the transaction in SAP. Anybody has some document about configurations that I need to do in sap ? Or anybody could see the code above and tell me what is wrong?

I was able to get the result from the System.out.println. It returns null when there is no match. However, I want to return the entire row or have access to that attribute. For instance if I have 'GB011' what the system will display for me is 'viewrow [oracle.jbo.Key[GB011 ]]'
Pls, how can I have access to individual attributes like ParamSetup.codeType, ParamSetuo.MainCode etc...

RFC scenario for inserting data in SAP, help me experts

i have to insert data in SAP database using BAPI_PR_CREATE.
which adapter i hv to use for RFC(sender/receiver)(syn/Asyn).
this sceanrio is File1-RFC-File2.
file1 sends the data to RFC to insert data and file2 should hv to send the autogeneration keyID for PR

but..iam gting only 1 msg in monitering...
evrythn is fine,,,,my scenario shows in MONI black flag...but gting only one msg and the data which i sent to SAP is not storing in SAP..and when i search in SM58 in XI server...i cnt see any messages...
can u explain me Y..?

I guess the only way is sending the file using a XI connection to the non sap system server,generate RFC adapters, inbound, outbound interfaces, using xml or soap or IDOC to move the file to that system.

Extract data from SAP and send to external system via Webmethods & IDOC's

Hi,
We need to Extract data from SAP and send to an external system via Webmethods middlewear using IDOCs. I have never used webmethods before and would like to know more about how to implement this scenario. I have used IDOCS in an EDI scenario before but not used it along with WebMethods.

If you have already ABAP programs /BAPI's in place then try to develop RFC interface and write some back ground programs to scheudl BAPI's and develop scenario but you need to implement error handling , data validation in PI mapping level.
or
take help from ABAPer to design in ABAP like writing Proxy program to pull data and send it PI.
if you are dealing with master data bit risky(correctness) but can be achived using PI.

Hi,
You need to use open hub destination. third party tool destination for SQL
SAP BW TO SQL -- Extraction to the third-party tool can be executed as follows:
       1.      You define an open hub destination with Third-Party Tool as the destination type.
       2.      You create an RFC destination for your third-party tool and enter it in the definition of the open hub destination.
       3.      You use API RSB_API_OHS_DEST_SETPARAMS to define the parameters for the third-party tool that are required for the extraction.
       4.      You either start extraction immediately or include it in a process chain. You can also start this process chain from the third-party tool using process chain API RSPC_API_CHAIN_START. The extraction process then writes the data to a database table in the BI system.
       5.      When the extraction process is finished, the system sends a notification to the third-party tool using API RSB_API_OHS_3RDPARTY_NOTIFY.
       6.      The extracted data is read by API RSB_API_OHS_DEST_READ_DATA.
       7.      The status of the extraction is transferred to the monitor by API RSB_API_OHS_REQUEST_SETSTATUS.

Printing the data of SAP in the external system!!

Hi Friends,
I have one requirement.
The user is using some external system for creating PO/SO through BAPI from SAP R/3,the actual requirement is when the user presses the print button in the external system
then the corresponding PO/SO should get printed in the external system.How can i achieve this?

Here some of points which i think
1. Get PO number from external number
2. For the some PO write RFC, which will give you
    corresponding PO details from SAP.
3. So get data from SAP system.
4. come back to external system extract PO data which
    you have recently got from SAP system
5. Using print command in external system do can finish
    your work.
This all is depend upon external system. If external
system is SAP then things are much simpler than this.

My name is Pavan Tata. I work as a SAP BW developer. Here is the situation at my client place. Client decided to retire BW system and wants to replace with OWB(Oracle warehouse). In all this currently we have purhchasing application in BW production system and wants to move this application to OWB for the same type of reporting what they are getting currently.
Here is my question:
How to get purchasing data from SAP R/3 to OWB(Warehouse) with initial full loads and deltas mechanism in the same way as we do in BW.
Please help on this, also send me any documentation about this if you have.

Loading of transaction data from SAP ECC system failed

Hi!
I successfully connected SAP ECC system to SAP BI system.
The following steps have been executed:
- user ALEREMOTE with max. authorization
- RFC destination
- Distributing Data model
- Generated Partner profile
- Maintaining message types in WE20
Now when I try to load any data from SAP ECC system the loading process in hanging in status "yellow" and never comletes.

Missing message: Request received

Via BD87 on BW system I detect that all the IDOC's (type: RSRQST) will be received from SAP ECC system.
Via tcode SM58 I could not detect any entries.
However the loading status from yesterday is set to "red".
The errors are:
Extraction (messages): Missing messages
Data Package 1 : arrived in BW ; Processing : 2nd processing step not yet finished
Info IDoc 1 : sent, not arrived ; Data passed to port OK
Info IDoc 2 : sent, not arrived ; Data passed to port OK
Can you investigate my issue again?
