BT Complaint - Been complaining since Aug 2011 and...

I took out my BT subscription in June 2011 and and in August 2011 I had to make my 1st complaint about the service. I was told when I was speaking to the sales team that I would get the fastest internet speed for my area, would be able to get up to 60+ TV Channels and that I would be ex dorectory- so far I can get the internet on my mobile faster than BT, I get 30 channels most of which are pizalated and not viewable and Im not ex directory and as a result receive multiple calls a day from companies etc. So in August I rang and spoke to technical support, who said that there was a fault, they would fix it, a week later I rang again saying that this was still an issue, they advised that there was a fault and it would be fixed, another week later and I find myself ringing again to be told that an engineer would come to the house and see what the issue was. He came, he said that there was a fault in the main box outside the property and that he had fixed it. Since then I have rang BT on a nearly weekly basis to be told that there is either a fault or some other rubbish and here we are in Jan and I have just spent the past 4 hours on the phone to 15 different people in a dozen different departments all of which are saying "Im sorry that you are having issues with BT, we will get this sorted today and this will be the last time that you will have to ring BT" I will be honest, and I dont care if this gets my Forum account deleted, BT are bloddy rubbish, by far the most pathetic company and services that I have ever been given by a company. I have been spoken to like Im a piece of S**T treated like im not valued as a customer and still I have to pay my BT bill each month for a service that BT have failed to provide and yet if Im even a day late with a payment they are on my ass like a pit bull but are unable to or are unwilling to fix my issues. SO I have again today logged a formal complaint and have advised that if this issue is not rectified I will take my complaint higher. I have never in my life been made to feel so worthless as I have done dealing with BT, in faxt even whilst writting this Forum, the internet has disconnected 6 times and Im not even using it wirelessly I am hooked up using the Ethernet cable - THis is truely pathetic and BT are treating its customers like S**T. they need to understand that if it wasnt for customers they wouldnt have a business - I really wish Id stayed with Sky (even they are S**T but at least I got a decent service from them. Lets see what Ofcom have to say!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    We have been complaining on and off since august 2011.
    We have had i think 7 engineers visit us.
    To start with we lost connection when the phone rang,this seemed to get better and only happened say one 50% of the time now.
    What we have been noticing is during the week we have acceptable speeds of around 2-3mb(for our area this is good) but as soon as saturday comes the connection drops out and will go back to around 1mb and on monday it seems to go back up again after a router reboot??
    However this week we have noticed that during the day 2-3mb and then in the evening back to around 1mb.
    Im not too happy tonight halfway through a programe on Iplayer it said buffering,i went to check the router and yes it was resetting itself now im unable to stream the rest of the programe even on the poorest of quaity.
    Our contract is close to finishing(it may even already has) We have been paying for option 3 unlimited and we are unable to use it.
    Not sure what to do not if we complain again we will get another visit from yet another engineer that has no clue what the others have done and never solve the problem.
    Seem to be stuck in a loop of engineer visits and very poor broadband for £25 per month!

    3. If the above does not work, Create a new location(go to system preferences > network > click Location)

    If your iPhone 4 IOS version 5.x, you can directly update through the phone.
    Put the iPhone on Wall charger and make sure your Wi-Fi is connected.
    Settings > General > Software Update >
    If you have have IOS before 5.0 then you need to update through computer iTunes with your iPhone connected and selected.
    If you're using MS Windows, disable anti-virus or similar programs before you update.

  • Problem still not resolved since November 2011 and...

    Getting a bit boring now having to come back here and complain because BT cannot get me a reliable connection, it's really getting me down and I so wished I remained with Plusnet who gave a much better service.
    I just had an online chat with a BT tech via the Chat Applet and he has now told me that my line is in a stabilisation period for yet another ten days and there has been some migration done for which he could not answer why but did mention adsl2 and that I will get much better speeds.
    I have done the speed test via BT Speed Tester and here are my results:

    If only I could utilise that upload speed then maybe I would have a chance, the upload speed has doubled but yet my Snailband download speed has hit a poor 1.9mbps.

    The tech guy from BT asked if we had changed our package even though he confirmed we are on option 3 with unlimited broadband, what is going on here?
    The last time I had BT a few years ago I could not say nothing bad of them, practically faultless and more than satisfying speeds, now all I get is a speed that decreases daily to a point of what is the point if you get my drift?

    and no I have not switched off the router or downloaded a million viruses to slow my system performance. Please don't ask about the connection time being on for about an hour or so, we have not switched it off at all.
    can one of you mods have a look please as this is getting to the point of 5 months of hassle and yet I still pay the bills for this shoddy service.

    This is my problem, I was promised by the BT sales of at least 2mbps, all I got was 1.44mbps and an exciting 2mbps for a few hours before going back to 1.44mbps. Now I have a very slow 1.09mbps download which has dropped from 1.44 and my upload speed has more than doubled from 0.300mbps to 0.720mbps.
    It was harder enough before with 1.44 to use lovefilm, netflix, xbox live, youtube, bbci player and so on, now all I get is constant buffering for a simple 10mb youtube vid that is not even HD and churning it out on 240 rate.
    2012 and here we are back in the caveman times....it's the exact same line and number as it was with Plusnet who offered a much better service and yes I know BT owns them zzzz this service sucks to no end!
    I wish I could say that im jolly but how I am feeling is far from it and we are paying £48 per month for this service including the odd quid or two for calls as I have the anytime call package. £5.99 per month for xbox live and another £4.99 for Love Film Instant streaming...We don't live in some trendy place earning megabucks mate, we have 4 kids and an average of 20k per year salary combined, we don't need this **bleep** ripping us off and not even bothering to at least half the bill until it's sorted.
    I really hope Virgin Media come down my way soon because BT SUCKS!

    Hotmail will open to the inbox page but none of the folder links or message links will work. No error messages, just no action. like all the links are disabled. The top menu items are active and work if pressed, just not the folders or messages

  • Been complaining about lag on xbox live for a year and Verizon is now ignoring me.

    For the past year and a half I have been complaining to verizon about the horrible xbox live service I am getting. They keep telling me there is nothing wrong. I have tried four different routers(verizon and non-verizon with updated firmwares), tried both coax and ethernet, switched every ethernet line twice, played on a 5 foot cable in my garage, had my ont switched, and my fiber re-spliced. Verizon claims nothing is wrong and have tried to get me to stop complaining by telling me "fios is too fast for xbox because games are designed for high latency connections and because fios has no latency slower connections can't keep up so it feels laggy." I posted that response on a xbox gaming forum and promptly had 10 people tell me FIOS runs great on their xbox. 
    So obviously the problem lies beyond my network and verizon is doing nothing to fix it. I have had a technician come out at least six times and all they run is a speed test. I am getting the speed I am provisioned at but ALL my xbox live games are unplayable online. I believe the problem lies in the first public hop outside because when I run a line quality test,(https://secure.dslreports.com/pingtest) I get an error that says  "50ms or more latency between your ip address and your first public internet hop could certainly be bettered with a quality connection"
    Just to be sure it wasn't unique my house I walked around my neighborhood and found 2 open wifi networks that were on FIOS and ran the same test. Both of them came back with the same error as me and both had the same first hop as me. To make sure that error wasn't normal for FIOS users I asked those poeple on the xbox live forum to run the test and tell me the results. Every single one of them passed the first hop test and had nearly half the latency, (Here are a few of them) I supplied this information and now they are ignoring me.
    Is there any mod or technician here that can provide me with contact information for someone who will look into and fix this problem for me? I believe I have provided significant proof that this problem is not in my network and calling an 800 number and opening a ticket does not help. I have been complaining for a year and a half and nothing has been done. I have lost practically all my xbox live friends because of this and would like to be able to play now that I have more free time. A phone number or email would be great. BTW I am in orange county, CA if that helps.

    Who exactly are you addressing this post to? And what exactly are you posting? We are just users like you, and have no idea what you are referring to. If there is something you would like to ask - user to user - please do so. Otherwise, you are wasting your time complaining about Apple, since we are not Apple.

    I am sorry to say that, but your security makes my life miserable – it’s been 2 months since my Apple ID account got stuck, and since then I cannot update 37 applications (to date), i.e. most of my applications. Half of them I bought. I also paid for iCloud, and it is not working. I paid money and I am stuck with old applications and no iCloud. Your security *****. Your service ***** too. It took your service 1 month to finally understand why this happened to me, and it took me tens of emails to you and 3 hours of telephone conversation to find out the reason for my problem. And the problem is still not fixed. NOT FIXED. You just leave your customer – the one who paid you money and spent so much time with you trying to help you help me – and nothing. You tell me:  “Vitas, Stick your stinky iphone in your *** and enjoy life, we do not care!” *************.
    It is ******* outrageous, and you should know that,  guys. Get into the ******* database and correct the bug. Get someone in the partners-telephone carriers company (it is Orange as carreer and Cellcom as seller of the phone)  authorized to Identify me in personal encounter in one of the branches in Israel (where I live) and make sure it is really me, and get the ******* system accept my password and let me use my phone.
    Otherwise **** off. None of my friends will get my advise to buy an iphone or any of apple products. And I think you should be very attentive to cases like this, guys. Do your work for the money we pay, or disappear. There are many others eager to take your place, and if the problem is not fixed I will eventually go to the others.     Well, it seems waiting is not my strong suit..! I renamed a javascript file called recovery to sessionstore. This file was in the folder sessionstore-backups I had copied from mozilla 3 days ago, when my tabs were still in place. I replaced the sessionstore in mozilla's default folder with the renamed file and then started mozilla. And the tabs reappeared as they were 3 days ago!
    So there goes the tab problem. But again when I started mozilla the window saying "a script has stopped responding" appeared, this time the script being: chrome//browser/contenttabbrowser.xml2542
    If someone knows how to fix this and make firefox launch normally, please reply! Thank you

  • My apps have been crashing since last night on iPhone 4g anyone having this problem.  it only started last night i have rebooted the phone and some times cannot even download my email nor move them to trash where they re appear a few minutes in inbox

    my apps have been crashing since last night including even the app store.  this only started happening late last night since doing the ios 5.0.1 update.  i am not sure what is happening.  even when i click on the phone buttom the apps are all crashing not loading stuff.  i cannot even seem to get email only some of the time and than when it does and i try moving them to trash they dont go to trash they re appear right back in my inbox a few minutes later.  i have rebooted the iphoine a few times but with little avail to any situations that are working for me currently.
    i think this is an apple ios 5.0.1 update issue.  i think they may have screwed things up big time this time.  i have also found no improvement with battery life at all.  not sure what is wrong but i hope they fix it fast.  this is ridiculous

    Thanks but I have tried doing the above - when I said 7 times I was modest, its more like 15 times.
    And I am referring to the 5.1 software update. I dont have wifi so I guess I will have to try that seeing that my husband also has the same problem - he has also tried downloading several times. It always times out en says that the connection is lost but yet there are always an internet connection and a decent signal once it stopped. Think it said error 32052 or something!
    I am disappointed because the update includes inprovement on the battery life - did you guys notice any difference?

    I need to know how to determine a file creation date on an ipad.  If someone creates a document/note on an ipad how can you tell when it was created and if it has been altered since?

    Unless you are using a third party app that provides that functionality, in iOS the only thing youcan access is the last edit/save date and time, which is fairly evident in the user interface for documents and notes. Some apps that handle MS Office files may provide that, but ican't say first hand.
